Will never do business with them again! The lady that answers the phone is very rude and you can’t never get in touch with Shirley and they are lack of communication!! The deserve no stars!

Really provided us with the house weve rented for two years at 33 Nottingham ct. Was interested in buying the home.

I wish I could leave negative stars. This company does not deserve to be in business! I rented out my house through McDaniel for years, and regret every minute of it. From fake charges, to poor communication, to inability to actually maintain the property and tenants, the list goes on. In the end, it costed me far more to rent through this so called property management company than it wouldve to pay more for a management company that actually knows what theyre doing. To make matters worse, Cary, the owner, will respond with extreme aggression when put on the spot. Do yourself a favor and have someone that cares about your property and to do their job properly manage your house. Youll only regret going with McDaniel.

I was not pleased with my overall experience. When plumbing issues and heat/AC issues arose, it took more time to get one of their handymen out there than should be expected. When the ref refrigerator went out, they tried to supply a dorm room type replacement. I did not get my needed security deposit back even after having carpets cleaned and cleaning the house top to bottom. Beware, this company is only out to get your money....not tenant focused at all. No way to pay rent online either, very inconvenient. If possible, not recommended

If you want to get bullied by the staff or wait for long periods of time to get anything fixed then this is the place for you. The Property manager told me as long as the property was livable then they would not send help. Their version of livable is questionable.

If you do what is right by keeping up the property you will have no problems with the landlord. They are responsive to request when there is an issue at your location.

This is the first time I ever had to rent my home and I must say it has been a very pleasant experience working with the staff and manager at McDaniel and McDaniel. They were very organized, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Any time I would have a problem, they would work diligently to have the problem resolved. I really liked the fact that they would notify me before any action was done concerning a much needed repair of my home. I was truly blessed to have found an agency who cares about the tenant as well as the renter.

McDaniel & McDaniel has served as the property manager for my home since 2011, I have not had any issues with the, and have always had superior when when working with them. Im in the military so its difficult for me to come to their office for documents and/or questions. They ensure that I am always informed via email or by phone. I highly recommend McDaniel & McDaniel especially if you care about our home and great customer service.

This property company is the best as long as you dont need any repairs. I had to live with mold for 6 months after the flood.I put my business there not knowing that the air conditioning unit was not big enough to properly cool the space. It went out completely and I had to pay out of my pocket and subtracted it from my rent. I sent a certified letter to properly inform them of the repairs that were not made and they sent me a ten day notice to leave. While I was moving Mcdaniel had a locksmith come out and change the locks so I couldnt get the rest of my things. Which is illegal. I had to go through the magistrate to be able to get back in. He wouldnt come back to lock the door, put some of my property on the curb and then threatened to sue me. Lol. Clearly he is unethical and does not abide by the landlord tenant act of South Carolina. He does what he wants regardless of the law. I would never recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I am now seeking a real estate attorney to sue him for damages.

I worked with Mr. McDaniel on a commercial property in Lexington and he did a tremendous job and made the process very simple and easy. There were a couple of times when I contacted him on weekends and after hours and he was very quick to respond.

My family and I had a great experience over the past few years dealing with McDaniel and McDaniel realty. They were always accommodating of our needs and very responsive to fixing things. Upon our departure our deposit was returned in full and quickly!

I would like to thank all of the workmen who repaired things in the past few months. They all are to be highly commended for their professionalism and fine work. The man who repaired the mailbox did an exceptional job!!

The staff at McDaniel & McDaniel has been extremely professional. Our property manager was very helpful and professional in helping to find my son his very first home. She was very patient and knowledgeable of her job and always went out of her way to accommodate our schedule. She is one in a million.

McDaniel & McDaniel Co has managed my rental property for over 8 years and theyve always done a great job. Just recently, my property needed a lot of work from a wind and hail storm and water damage from a leaking hot water heater. Cary worked with my insurance company to make sure everything was repaired. Because of my job I live on the other side of the country, so having a property manager that handled and coordinated everything made my life much easier. Everything was repaired within a couple of weeks and in the end I had a brand new looking property. Ive been very impressed with their hard work and customer service and will continue to use for my property management needs.

This management company is really awful. We rented from them for a year and in that year, we had no end of trying to get issues fixed. Every time I paid rent I would fill out paperwork to get leaks fixed. Nothing was ever done. We decided we wanted to buy and asked then if the rental house we were in might be for sale. After MONTHS, they finally got back with us and said yes, the owner wants to sale. Too late, we had already bought a different place. Today I went in to pay the last month rent and they were extremely rude and confrontational with me. I am so glad we are getting away from this management company.

Do not make the same mistake I did by renting from them. Tim in maintenance is an obnoxious jerk and has a way to make you not want to call the office for anything. After what Ive experienced with this property management company, I would never have them maintain a home I owned, much less rent or purchase from them .

Very disappointed in reaction to repair. Hot water issue in bathroom since moving in. Hot water ONLY lasts two minutes. My Son actually timed it with a stop watch. A handyman did not listen to us try to explain problem. His response was that the hot water tank was large enough ?? He went to KITCHEN SINK, turned on water and stuck his fingers under the water for 5 seconds. Then noticed a small water on the floor in front of washer and went into mad-mode saying we destroyed the floor and would have to pay for it. He also called home a “zoo like never before” . I asked him to leave as he was dismissive of problem, had a hostile, authoritarian attitude. On the way out he pulls his phone out and says, “Ok. I report you”. I called McDaniels office to complain. Lady in office is VERY nice. She gave me Cary McDaniels number. I called him and unfortunately was met with same attitude. A fake phony “have a good weekend” “stop using that washer” because it will mess up the floor in “MY HOUSE”. Just shocked! I took pics of floor and sent to Cary McDaniels email address immediately showing him the floor was in perfect condition and it is. I hate the way this went. Just treated with destain and disrespect. I am a business owner. Have been for 15 years. This just shocked me.

Management is very rude & nasty . House looked good until I moved in and realize that they had everything put together. Water pressure very low . NEVER AGAIN!

Incredibly unprofessional and will lie to your face... multiple times. Do not rent from them, I guarantee it is not worth your time.

One of the worst realtors to deal with. They WILL NOT fix any major repairs I had a broken back door for 4 months (since I moved in) so ANYONE can just pretty much walk into the house. Once it started to rain it turns out the ceiling leaks and theres mold growing (happened a month after we moved in). Going to take legal action in a month.

Do not rent from this company. Stole my deposit by creating issues with the house after I moved out. Be sure to take pictures if you are renting from them now so when they come up with all the issues, you have proof that they are LIARS! Horrible record keeping. They sent me letters stating I was late. Had to go in with all my cancelled checks to prove I paid on time. Staff is also extremely rude.

RENTERS, LANDLORDS, AND ANY POTENTIAL CLIENTS, MCDANIEL AND MCDANIEL ARE THE WORST REALITY COMPANY I HAVE DEALT WITH. MY LANDLORD AND I WERE UNDER CONTRACT WITH THEM FROM 1/17/11 TO 1/31/12. DURING THIS TIME THEY WERE RUDE AND DOWN RIGHT UNPROFESSIONAL. WE WERE SO DISGUSTED WITH THE ENTIRE TIME OF THE CONTRACT THAT WHEN ARE CONTRACT WAS COMPLETE MY LANDLORD PULLED THE PROPERTY FROM THEIR CONTROL. WE WENT OUT ON ARE OWN AFTERWARDS. WE HAVE NOT BEEN A CONTRACT FOR OVER A YEAR. WHEN WE LEFT THEY DID NOT GIVE MY SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK TO NEITHER MYSELF OR MY LANDLORD. I HAVE BEEN TO THE TWO TIMES ATTEMPTING TO GET MY SERCURTY DEPOSIT BACK. THE FIRST TIME I WAS THERE I WAS TOLD BY AN AGENT THE OUR FILE WAS SO OLD THAT IT HAS BEEN FILED AWAY IN A CABINET WHICH THE COULD NOT FIND THE KEY TO UNLOCK IT. THEY TOOK MY INFORMATION DOWN AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD CALL THE NEXT DAY. I NEVER RECIEVED A PHONE CALL. ON MY INFORMATION I GAVE MY NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER AND JUST MMY LANLORDS NAME. I INTENTIONALLY LEFT THE PHONE OFF SO I COULD TELL WHEN THEY FOUND THE FILE. AT THAT TIME I WAS QUESTIONED BY THE AGENT TO WHEN I WAS MOVING OUT. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY CONCERN TO THEM AS WE WERE NO LONGER UNDER A LEGAL CONTRACT. THEY CONTACTED MY LANDLORD THAT SAME DAY SO I KNOW THE HAVE FOUND THE FILE. WHEN THEY SPOKE WITH MY LANDLORD THE STATED TO HER THAT THEY HAD 30 DAYS AFTER I MOVED OUT THE GIVE ME MY SERCURITY DEPOSIT. ONCE AGAIN THE HAVE NO LEGAL STANDING TO MAKE ME WAIT THIRTY DAYS FOR MY CHECK. I WENT A SECOND TIME TO INQUIRE AGAIN ABOUT GETTING MY SERCURITY DEPOSIT BACK. THE MAN I DEALT WITH WAS EXTREMLY RUDE AND DISRESPECTIFUL. ONCE AGAIN I LEFT MY INFORMATION AND THEY WERE GOING TO CALL ME. SINCE THAT MEETING LAST WEEK I STILL HAVE NAT RECIEVED ANY RETURN CALL. I AM NOW HAVING TO CONSULT AN ATTORNEY TO GET MY DEPOSIT BACK. I HAVE ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BEREAU. THEY HAVE NO LEGAL GROUNDS TO HOLD IT AS WE DO NOT HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THEM. IF YOU NEED TO HIRE A REALTOR HIRE ANY ONE ELSE BECAUSE WITH THEIR ACTIONS AND BEHAVIORS THEY DO NOT NEED TO BE IN BUSINESS
