OMG. Thats the only practice that accepts EAP in this area, at least according to my employer; they have at least 4-6 week wait for an appointment and before you can even schedule that you have to come in (in person) and fill out the paperwork Mon-Fri 10am-4pm. I dont think they want patients or are there to help anyone. When I asked what am I supposed to do if I cant come in between those hours (like email or download paperwork) or cant wait 4-6 week they said I should go to the hospital. Nice dealing with you (Not!)

Good luck getting treatment here. Youll be greeted with a wonderful receptionist staff who will not end personal conversations to check you in. If they cant find you in their system, without a doubt, YOURE stupid and dont know what your doing. Once they check again and youre in the computer, its always someone elses fault. On a quiet day, if you listen closely, you can hear almost all members of staff openly complain about their jobs and/or co workers loudly, which is nice to hear. Because most likely if you are at this establishment, you are in desperate need of help. If you are down and out and need help in your life, understand that you are not alone and you do deserve help. Just understand that there are other options out there and you should do the research into the people that are going to help you. Protect yourself from people who are just there to collect a check versus people who honestly want to help. Remember that Sheppard Pratt does a lot of government sub contracting and depends on these sub out jobs, so if dont want your mental health treated the same way you are treated at the DMV, find a place that will want to help. Not want to cash in.

Sheppard Pratt is directly responsible for the death of my childhood friend. He was repeatedly imprisoned at this asylum against his will by his homophobic, abusive parents, and the treatment he received traumatized him beyond what I am able to put into words. The conditions were worse than an internment camp. He was drugged, isolated, dehumanized, and emotionally abused-- and thats only counting what I could get him to open up to me about before he killed himself to avoid going back to that hell.Its sad and terrifying that we live in a world where operations like this are allowed to exist. I wonder how many other children have died due to this corrupt, broken, evil institution. To any parents reading this: if you want your child to survive, I would suggest not stripping them of their autonomy and basic human dignity in order to fix them.I wish I were rich enough to sue these monsters. I wish I was brave enough back when I was a kid to take my friend and run away so that they couldnt drive him to suicide.If you dont want PTSD, avoid this prison.

I was sent here after 4x suicide attempts abd severe cutting and i got salmanella from the food but the rooms wer nice and some of the staff are quite rude but most are very nice it is based off of a point system in there but its still a mental hospital
