What a great learning environment! With some 30 years of combined experience between Shawn and Keith no question goes unanswered. You can just pop your head into class for two minutes and learn something you didnt know the day before. Highly recommend for kids and adults!

I saw Gunn academy featured on Discovery channel last year, so I had to check it out myself when I hit the states last month.Its even more amazing in person, they have a beautiful facility and amazing instructors. Top notch facilities and they made me as a walk in feel like family. I will be back thats for sure.My normal gym is in Singapore but when Im in the states I see Coach Keith and the guys for my BJJ fix.

I am in law enforcement and I attended Gunn Academy for about 9 months. Unfortunately I got a new position and had to work evenings and could not make it to class during their hours. And with in those 9 months I had used what I learned in the field with success. Not to mention its an awesome workout. The instructors are great and they really know what they are talking about. The students are real friendly and very welcoming. This academy is awesome and I definitely recommend it!!!

The instruction from Keith and Shaun is top notch. They are very personable, outgoing, and make learning/training fun. Keith has been in my corner for both of the amateur MMA fights I did as well as most of the BJJ tournaments I have competed in. He is a good friend and coach to me as well as a great mentor for his students. I would recommend this gym to anyone!

This place is legit. Keith and Shaun are the best instructors/coaches/mentors out there. I recommend Gunn to anyone whether you have experience or not. They have super positive attitudes that would make anyone want to come back, and the instruction is taught in a way that both experienced and inexperienced grapplers can understand and learn more every class. Keith and Shawn not only know their stuff concerning the subject matter but they have amazing skills with the kids. Some kids are slow and some are easily distracted but they know how to read and deal with them on such effective terms the kids love going back.Swing by there and see for yourself. My experience with Gunn Academy has been exceptional. I had three sons join the academy in both the adult and kid classes. I cant say enough about this school. They had never done anything like this before and studied enough to compete and win both Gold and Silver medals thanks to the best coaches ever!!! My kids all learned much more than jujitsu though, they learned respect, dependability, honor, and most importantly they made life long friends. Gunn Academy is truly a family!

By far the best learning environment Ive ever experienced. When I was looking for a Jiu Jitsu gym, I tried out a few other places but it always felt like I was the new guy in a secret club. On day one at Gunn Academy, the instructors and students were both friendly and accommodating to my limited experience. Ive attended a few of Keiths Brazillian Jiu Jitsu classes and have always been very pleased with his laid back style and attention to anyone who was struggling or who had questions. Ive seen his students tap out higher belts from other schools, so I know what he teaches is highly effective.

By far, these guys are the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo and MMA instructors in the area. I trained at Nova Uniao for several years and most currently with Team Brasa BJJ out in AZ but had an opportunity to drop in and their instruction and personal investment in their students is phenomenal. This is an amazing place if you are interested in taking a look at at Jiu Jitsu, MMA, or self defense. The instructors are very technical and detail oriented, including patient and attentive especially with inexperienced students. The environment is definitely open, non-intimidating, there are none of those guys who just want to come to the gym to beat someone up. I started my journy in martial arts at this school and I can honestly say it changed my life.That being said, interestingly, this is also an amazing place to train no matter how experienced you are. With instructors with black belts in Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Kung Fu, Judo and over 35 years of martial arts and self defense experience between the two primary instructors. They have trained proffessional fighters who have gone on to be very succesful. We have law enforcment who train with us regularly, as well as folks from ages 4-50 from all walks of life. It is a friendly, family like atmosphere, where everyone is invested in the growth and development in everyone around them. You are no good without great training partners!I have no financial investment in Gunn Academy, i just truely believe in what is going on there. Sounds to good to be true? Please come check it out!!
