Merry Maids came out today to do a “deep clean” which was to include oven cleaning, but I was told that was not on her list. That’s fine, but I expect if I am paying for a deep clean that I would actually get one. Things were left undusted, such as the top of the refrigerator. I was told that cabinet cleaning was included, but that was not done. Under the couch was not fully swiffered. Not all of the baseboards were done. Not all the floors were mopped.I had to ask for the ottoman and dining tables chairs to be dusted, the window on the entertainment console to be wiped, under the couch cushions to be vacuumed, and the garbage was just left. If i wanted a cursory cleaning, I could have done this myself and saved my money. The lady was very nice and accommodating. While I gave her a generous tip, it wasn’t for the quality. Unfortunately, she just wasn’t up for the job, and I’m pretty neat and have a small apartment. I will not be using Merry Maids again.Update: They came back two days later to rectify the situation, but unfortunately, it was an epic fail. The same lady came back. After getting over my initial surprise, I figured it may be a good thing because she knows everything that she did not do, and would be able to easily correct it, without me having to go over in detail. That was an incorrect assumption. She kept asking me what she needed to do, and it was really frustrating. The few things I had asked her to do (re-do), such as the baseboards, still weren’t even done fully. I was pretty much over it, and didn’t even bother to bring up, or ask, that the additional issues (please see side note) be corrected.Side note: After my initial review and after speaking to the company to set up the return date, I noticed additional things that had not been done. For example, the windows, windowsills and blinds in the rooms were not done. The top of the railing in the master was not dusted. The bars in the bathrooms were not dusted. Dusting is a basic part of cleaning, and I would think it would be part of a “deep cleaning”. Additionally, I noticed that the bowl cleaner I left for the guest bathroom wasn’t used Wednesday, and on Friday, she admitted that it was because the water wasn’t running in the bowl. Instead of telling me, so I could call maintenance, she said and did nothing. (I’m not in the guest bathroom often). If I am paying for a service, I expect to get the service that I pay for, without having to follow behind someone to ensure that things get done properly (or at all). This was definitely not worth $240.
We bought a new house and it was cleaned by Merry Maids, however, the job wasn’t done to our satisfaction; so they sent out Paula to make it right for us. She did a fabulous job and got everything done to perfection. Paula was polite, friendly, and professional. She met our expectations and went above what we asked for. The reason for three stars is that the first service was a one, but Paula was a 5. Thank you Paula!
Everything they do is fantastic. Great service, great people, great work. Appreciate everything that they do.
Cleared our house as we moved out. They were very good and the cost was right on.
Love having Merry Maids clean my house. Prompt, friendly, thorough. Like having the same lead person every time. They know what I want done. Friendly, efficient.
For the most part, they have done quite a good job for us. My only issue is when they call of a sudden that they couldnt send a maid as scheduled as theres none available. I think thats poor planning and it derails peoples schedule.
Great service very accommodating
