Bobbie Sue did a wonderful job with my hair. I was very satisfied with the result. I also loved how she explained the outcomes of the hair style/cut I wanted and how to make it look best! She’s really easy to talk to & I enjoyed her being my stylist! Looking forward to booking an appointment with her again soon!

I was in town visiting my daughter at U of SC and had a few hours to kill. I needed a haircut so I was able to get one easily and saw James. He was excellent. Best cut I have had in years. Glad I found someone my daughter can use while she is away from home. Highly recommend.

I had a drab, frizzy mullet-like bad cut and needed help! Deanna (sp) worked magic on me. She gave me carmel highlights and a great layered cut full of body. My daughter recommended this place. I got a haircut here with Nichole and she was amazing!!! She listened to all my concerns about my hair and gave me an amazing cut! She gave me products that would work well in my hair and overall a great experience. The studio has a beautiful and peaceful ambiance and the staff is all really friendly. I would recommend this salon to anyone looking for a great haircut. I haven’t had a good haircut in about 2 years and I was very impressed. I will definitely be coming back!!

I got a haircut and balayage. The color I really liked, however I was less impressed with my haircut. Immediately after my cut a friend saw the back and told me my hair wasnt cut remotely straight. She asked if I had gotten a cut at cheaper place. She spent the next hour attempting to even it out for me and thin the ends out. I am happy with the color but will probably look elsewhere for my appointment.

I first started coming here because my friend Sally works here. She got voted best hair stylist in Columbia. Absolutely love the fact that she works here. This place is awesome. Granted I’m a guy, so most of the experience about this place is lost on me. But there’s an amazing amount of treatments you can get here oh top of your haircut. They are always friendly and professional. I love the service here. I get phone calls when earlier appointments open up, as well as text reminders about my appointment. It’s going to be a sad day when sally moves away, but I will continue to come here for the experience. I would highly recommend this place to others and I do regularly in person.

This is my second time in the hair salon. For both times I got a balayage and a haircut. Both times were a wonderful experience. I have to highlight the second time more because I am extremely happy with my hair color. Lexi did a terrific job. I dont think she couldve done any better. First of all, my girl Nicole is amazing with my color so this review is NOT about her. This is about the hand tied extensions and the lack of experience and certification the girl who put them in had. I was naive and felt the price was too good to be true and it was. After having one row put in, I went home and slept on it. It hurts to do that. It’s not suppose to. I wasn’t really given any instructions on how to care for them except for when I asked for it as I was checking out. It cost me around $500 which after researching, hair alone, should cost between $500-800 if purchased from a hand tied specialty business. The quality of hair alone is expensive. Then I found out that you should only use an IBE certified stylist. This stylist is not according to the link that was sent to me my a trainer out of Florida. She saw my photos, and told me to have them out ASAP that it was a hot mess. This person has no stake in my hair because she is a trainer out of Florida and cannot get my business so what she says is true. I have VERY fine hair that breaks easily which is why I needed these type of extensions. Please find a qualified and certified stylist to do this work. You can go bald if not done correctly with the right hair. I have photos of what it should look like and mine looks nothing close.

Murphi was awesome. She was very meticulous. She asked me what I was wanting and added her expertise to it and my hair turned out fantastic! Would definitely recommend her.

This was my first visit to this salon and I will definitely be returning! Nichole did a fantastic job cutting my hair and was good about asking specific questions to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. While she was cutting my very long, thick hair I mentioned that I love when it’s curly but I never have the time to actually curl it since it takes so long. When she was finished drying it she insisted on curling it for me even though she was running short on time! She really went above and beyond and I left feeling like a million bucks. I highly recommend this place!

I’m only giving more than one star because my hair stylist was so kind, sweet and definitely went out of her way to try and achieve the look I asked for. However, the results leave a lot to be desired in terms of getting a result that looked anything like the requested picture. I’m not terribly upset with the results and in some lights it looks good.

The makeup artist does an amazing job! Hair too! I got so many compliments on how pretty it was. Definitely coming back!

This is long, but here’s my review...It’s been 2yrs since I’ve had anyone cut my hair because the last time I went anywhere I was treated poorly and the previous stylist didn’t listen to what I was asking for and pretty much cut everything off! I’ve also recently dealt with hair issues earlier this year so I was extremely hesitant to go anywhere to get my hair done, but it was just time... my hair was long enough to give it another go. I initially booked Meredith based on a ton of reviews here and I’m not disappointed! She was so welcoming, easy going and made the whole experience a million times better than anywhere I’ve gone before. I did also struggle with telling her about a few of my hair issues because you’ll sometimes come across people in the beauty industry who can be so superficially self absorbed, arrogant, egotistical and judgmental but thank goodness she was so nice and down to earth. Yesss... I’ve came across a few of those kind of people who made me feel lesser and I completely shy away from it all. She also gave some good simple pointers for hair care/management! Thanks again for the great experience and making me feel comfortable! I don’t normally have a go-to salon because I’ve still been on the hunt for a long time, but this may be my official go to! :)))PS - I highly recommend MEREDITH!

What can I say about Bobbie Sue. I didn’t know what to expect upon walking into O2 for the first time. I had been the unfortunate victim of a future cosmetology school dropout and was in desperate need of some TLC. And there she was, as if descended from the heavens. Bobbie Sue took my step ladder layers and created the most beautiful rounded bob. Gordon Ramsay himself doesn’t have the precision with a kitchen knife that Bobbie Sue does with shears. Not only did I feel more confident leaving the salon, but I found $10.00 on the street, strangers smiled in my direction, and someone played Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond on a trumpet as I walked to my car.In all seriousness, Bobbie Sue is an absolute miracle worker. She changed my life and we laughed the entire time.

Courtney was fabulous. I was so nervous to get my hair done as this was the first time I have gone to a new hairdresser in years but as soon as i sat down she was so nice and welcoming it really put me at ease. She described to me the haircut she thought would look best and it was the exact thing I wanted done. Without even showing her pictures of my ideas she just knew somehow like she was in my head. She took her time even though the whole thing was no more than an hour. She explained what products she was using and their benefits for my hair specifically. She was not pushy or uptight, she was really cool to talk to and work with. I felt really comfortable handing over my hair to her to let her do what she thought was best based off of what I had told her about my routine and current products that I use. I chose your studio based off of reviews on a few sites and I was not disappointed. My last hairdresser was hard to beat but Courtney did just that and I will not go to anyone else now. I love my hair and I love that I now have a great new place to go that I can trust.Plus those caramels you have at the front desk are delicious.

Nichole was fantastic! I cut off all my hair one night and made an appointment with her the next morning after finding some highly rated Google reviews. Nichole was friendly, professional, and communicative which made me feel more confident while in the chair. I got a shampoo & cut and I requested a womens short pixie cut & she nailed it! I do wish there were more protocols regarding COVID in the salon, but everyone wore face masks & stations were sanitized for each client.

Went to Studio O2 for an up do for a wedding I was attending and they did an AH-MAZING job with my hair. Houston styled my hair and added extensions. She was so super friendly and made my hair look fantastic! I am SO happy with her work and I HIGHLY recommend her and the salon! I event tried the oxygen bar afterwards and did the lemongrass scent. It helped me feel super refreshed before the wedding festivities started. :)

I got my hair cut here. Deanna did a great job of asking questions about my preferences, and making sure that I walked away with exactly the cut I wanted! Very personable and professional. Overall, a very positive experience.In terms of covid (coronavirus) procedures - they sanitized working stations in between clients, and all staff and clients were masked. My one criticism would be that the chairs were not 6 ft apart, and there were clients next to each other.

James gave me one of the best haircuts Ive ever had. I live in a small town about an hour away from Columbia, but it is completely worth the travel time to have him cut my hair. He has an incredible gift as it was clear to me that his ability goes far beyond the learnings of the classroom. James is truly an artist and I look forward to having him be my new stylist. Its my pleasure to recommend him with 5+ stars!

I’m a New Yorker who happens to be staying in Columbia for a few months with my parents (the perks of covid and working from home). After not having a cut or color for over 8 months I decided to try and find someone in the Columbia area to help with what my hair had evolved to. After lots of instagram research and reading yelp reviews I came upon Murphi at Studio O2 (check out her ig: manesbymurph). She was awesome!! If you are looking for someone who is good at balayage and blonding a brunette, Murphi is your gal! Cant wait to go back!

This was my first time visiting the studio and I just want to say that it was the best experience I’ve ever had getting my hair done. Nichole has always done my hair but the atmosphere and the other stylists there was welcoming and warm. You can tell they all take pride in their craft and care about their clientele’s wants. Nichole did an amazing job as always and delivered exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be returning (especially for those awesome comp drinks, Starbucks....whatttt?!) Loved my time here!

I’m so impressed! I was very nervous about trying a new place as I have very short hair for a female & it’s so hard to find somewhere/someone to do a nice fade & actually make it look feminine. I’m used to leaving pretty upset after trying a new place. That was not the case here! Leanne was absolutely wonderful. She was very friendly, did exactly what I asked, & took her time. I didn’t feel rushed like I have at other places. The studio was very clean & the staff were so nice! I showed up at 9:15 thinking that was my appt time but it was 9:45 so I said I’d be back but the lady at the front told me to just have a seat and they’ll get right to me. And they did just that! I’ll definitely be back.

I got my hair done today by Courtney and it was the best experience I’ve had with a salon. She was very personal and listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me what I wanted. She made sure I was okay and always had a drink. This place is all around great they provide drinks and I watched everyone around there I don’t think you could go with a “bad” stylist in there! They all did amazing but I will for sure be seeing Courtney again

The salon is beautiful, clean and follows all social distancing safety guidelines. Courtney is AMAZING. She listened to exactly what I wanted, and then walked me through her entire process. She explained why she was using specific products, tools and how she was styling in a way that was equally informative and easily replicated. I usually have a lot of anxiety about getting my hair cut but this was the best experience I have had. And I love my hair!

James is the worst. He cant even do the bare minimum that he charged me for, overcharged should I say. The salon needs to periodically review their stylists performance as how they charge customers and what they actually do.

Reply to the post from owner:Again, I would appreciate if you do not make things up. The hair was not washed in 24 hrs, she washed it after 7 days. This was acknowledged by your crew and they told us to come back in April. Now the COVID closure went into effect, it’s not our fault here so please talk reasonably to your customer. Bottom line is your treatment was not good, did not meet the standards but you still want to keep the money and do not even want to correct your mistakes. Instead you want more money and do one more treatment.Excellent customer service I hope you don’t hurt anyone else like this in the future.We will report you to BBB. I was not thinking of doing it before but now I sure will.Original POST:Please do not waste your money here, the manager is not cooperative. They are not professional, owner is not responsive also. They will do a permanent treatment with cheap products and once you wash your hair it’s all gone!!! All the treatment is gone to the drain even if you use the product purchased from them. Leanne was so sweet and took her time to listen to what I wanted and explained everything she thought would be right for my hair while still giving me the freedom to disagree (which I didn’t). She showed me how to easily style my hair at home and was so patient. She used great products and gave honest suggestions when I asked for them regarding what to purchase for at-home use. Studio O2 is great! The salon is really pretty inside and the stylists are all fantastic and very welocming. Ive personally worked with 2, Leanne and Bobbie Sue and theyve both done wonderful cuts. Ive known several people that have gone there and you even get a discount for client recommendations! The products they use are really nice, and they can keep your info on file so you can schedule easily and pay using your card on file.

Recently moved to Columbia, South Carolina and went to four other hair salons desperately trying to find someone who could cut and blowout my long, wavy, curly, thick hair. I finally found Salon O2 and Meredith is THE best! I see her once a week. HIGHLY recommend this salon.
