TLDR: avoid if you dont want cuts from poorly maintained equipment. go for Keisha or Cathy and avoid the gentleman at booth #14. Significant differences in quality between stylists. Now that I read the previous reviews, this store had significant quality control issues with the same problem happening over and over with previous customers— read the reviews below to see similar stories to mine.It breaks my heart to leave a negative review to businesses affected by the pandemic, especially when Keisha and Cathy are super nice. But I had the worst haircut in a long long time (bonus was a cut in the back of my neck). They said walk-ins are welcome and they assigned me to a barber who is either giving a haircut for the first time or he is really bad at his job and nobody told him that yet. Hence, Im leaving this review. His hands are extremely slow and hesitant. He starts working on one side of my head and then gets distracted and works on the beard, which resulted in many mistakes and missing spots that I had to point out to him to fix. His buzzer is not maintained and hurts when he puts it against the skin and left a small mark on the back of my neck. He said it was irritation. I drove for 30 minutes expecting a pro-- shouldve stayed home.To be fair, there were two ladies when I was there who were good. They did 2 customers each and had nice results while my dude was figuring out how to give a haircut.Update: I walked back to the store and spoke to the manager, Cathy, who is super sweet and assigned me to a more experienced lady, Keisha, who did her best to fix what the gentleman did. Still, I shouldve been refunded, my haircut is not stunning after the fixes but acceptable, and it took two hours and some drama, which is not what I hope to get when I get a haircut--hence Im leaving the two stars. They should have better vetting of their barbers.Update 2: I went home and discovered more irritation/cuts/burns from the poorly maintained buzzer (see photos below). Avoid at all cost especially if you have a special occasion coming like me.
Had a haircut done by Allison W. She does it exactly the way you explain and want it. Super friendly, does not rush and takes care of minute details. Totally recommend Allison!
Literally the best barbershop Ive ever been to, every single cut I get (even if its just a quick trim) is excellent and looks good from day 1. They have never been anything but professional and I cant recommend them enough.
The manager is a horrible hair stylist and destroyed my hair when i asked for a simple fix. avoid the karen looking short haired manager woman. absolute nasty person should be avoided at all costs.
Do not let their overall rating fool you. The quality of this mens salon has degraded over the past year. This could be quarantine-related, but I used to frequent this location every two weeks. I have since moved to a local barber where the employees are far more respectful, and actually adhere to timetables that you designate online. If you want a haircut that you wont have to correct the second you arrive at home, go somewhere else.
My wife and I had a one oclock appointment. When we walked in we were asked to be seated. We only waited about a minute before we were each seated in a the stylists chair. My wife had pictures of herself prior to covid. The stylist did a fantastic job replicating the look. I had an unusual request in that I wanted my hair cut all over with a #2 and it was harder than I thought because of a few stubborn hairs. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend them highly.
Great spot and Jason was phenomenal. The only issue I had was that that sound was a bit louder than the other Floyds I have been to.
Wow! This place is great. I walked in and the vibe was great. I was greeted immediately by Anaya (hope I spelled that right). I was told that no one was available and they were closing soon, but I still wanted to make an appointment. After overhearing that I only needed my undercut done, Cathy K said she could take me real quick. I asked for a cool design (she asked what design I would like and I said “whatever feels right). 15 minutes and a shoulder massage later, I have one of the sickest and cleanest undercuts ever.*photo edited slightly for privacy.
Free haircut if you donate your hair. Nice!
Just wow. I had received a poor haircut at this location previously, but figured it couldn’t happen again. Well, boy, was I wrong. When Mimi started cutting my hair it was going well and I started to feel a bit more optimistic about the location and my new experience, but, when she used the straight razor on my neck, she cut my neck in three places and just decided that she shouldn’t tell me. Not cool, ma’am. As a military member I have to pay for my uniforms and when you have a three spots of blood seeping into the collar, the uniform top becomes unusable. Not only did she not tell me, but she also didn’t put any lotion, alcohol, or aftershave on it. I drove 30mins home and my wife let me know what the issue was. I can definitely say that I won’t be utilizing this location or it’s services again.
So I decided to go a few times to get my hair cut before I gave it a review. The first I went it went fine. She did an amazing job and she used a product I liked so I bought some pretty simple. The second time I went the barber never showed up! I had waited two hours. I dont know why someone else couldnt had given me a hair cut.The third time I went the barber did a good job but was way to pushy on trying to sell me products. I was really uncomfortable. The product was way over priced and I could had gotten something better at work. (Which I might)
Everything was great but like $50 for a cut is a lot, Less gimmicks and more value please
Don’t get me wrong I’ve had 2 great cuts from Cathy K. But booked my appointment and I was 5 minutes late. But I was told my spot was taken. And I have to book again.First visit, I went in I waited 15 minutes after I reached at my appointment time for my cut. Second visit, I waited 10 minutes. I understand that sometimes it can be busy and I am fine with waiting but when it comes to client its not acceptable?Won’t be going back!
OMFG! This is my first time at Floyds and also my first time in 12 years to go to a barber. I was politely welcomed, talked to, promptly schedule, and cut. TESSA D. did an amazing job on my cut, I was shocked at how good she made me look. Coming from a veteran who shaved his head bald for 15 years, she made me look like a model. Best in town hands down. Definitely going to continue coming to Floyds Columbia!.
I came in with a bad hair cut, and I knew I wanted a noticeable change in length and color. Julie S. was amazing! She helped me figure out a cut that would be low maintenance, walked me through the process of achieving the color from my reference photo (having never dyed my hair before), and gave me an estimate--all before starting.
This place is a cool shop. Friendly and it’s a party everyday and happy Attitudes when you walk in. My stylist/barber is amazing, fast, friendly and cute. I get a quick efficient haircut I walk In needing help with my hair and l leave looking and feeling like I can take on the world. Keisha is a master at her craft. Everyone there is great also. 6stars
Went there all the time for a mens cut. I set up an appointment for my girlfriends hair coloring to pay almost 500$ for a clearly crooked hair cut and hair color that was supposed to last. We were getting it touched up from 2 months ago and been rescheduled 3 times. For the price u pay here the cuts should be near perfect. Last time we will be back for sure.
Excellent haircut and Julie S. is friendly and experienced. Music is a little loud, but otherwise an all around good place to get a haircut.
Very appealing decoration and skilled barbers.
Korina cut my hair for over a year now and shes been consistent day in and day out. I arguably had the best haircut today thanks to her. I can’t wait to be back
My haircut didnt exactly turn out as I wanted it to, and the customer service was okay at best.
Great haircut for my upcoming wedding ☺️
Worse experience ever !!! Felt really bad how they treated me at Columbia I went thr for hair cut & highlights first time they cut my hair &! after discussion said they’ll do my highlights in 155 but I should think more nxt time I first booked appointments for consultancy in which they said it’ll be done in $ 180 and set up an appointment so today I won’t thr the person who was supposed to do it whom I had a discussion wasn’t thr 😳 they told me to start with scratch as thr wasn’t any record of our discussion so after spending an hour agai. On shades and him much I want they gave me an amount of $215 and when I got upset of giving me different amount every time & they were like we can’t help we can’t see any previous records (so in professional) ( which is not really my fault) so I agreed as I really didn’t want to go back again without getting it done then they made me wait to talk to manager first who scared me more by saying that we might not be able to finish it today it can May be done in two sessions anyways I said to start then the lady who was thr to do everything she said she will only do dyeing but won’t be able to do blow dry as her time ending soon and they will charge extra for blow dry 🤷🏻♀️ I mean who doesn’t want a final look and what is the point to go thr without finishing look . After hearing all this I just got up and said I don’t want it because you don’t want to do. They just wanted me to leave so they kept making me more and more uncomfortable .
I have been going to see Keysha for almost 2.5 years now. Everytime I go in she does a great job and the shop is always clean. Never have to wait too long as well! Will keep on coming back!
Keysha is the reason I continue to come back. She’s very professional, and does an amazing job and my hair is perfect every time. She’s very sweet and welcoming and is a lot of fun to talk to.
Only place my family will go for haircuts. Great service.
Cool place, people are really nice and have a great taste in music
Keysha is my regular haircutter and Ive never be disappointed. Always warm and welcoming. Best haircut in the city
Good vibes and proper COVID protocol. Overall a fun and safe experience. Hit up Cathy K when you are there.
Aayana is the nicest, sweetest receptionist and Cathy get the best cuts one hundred percent recommend
Time after time i go to this place and leave disappointed. They don’t know how to cut curly hair for men. All I asked for was a QUARTER inch off the top. Instead they cut at least two inches. I would have stopped him but I couldn’t see without my glasses. Would not recommend if you have this hair type. I have never left a review on anything in my life but this haircut was so outrageously horrible that I can’t help but type this out. I look like a bootleg russian Oliver Tree for gods sake.
Nicholas was so amazing. Not only was he fun to talk to, but he was very skilled with hair. I had recently dyed my hair by myself (very poorly) and after he cut my hair, the color looked awful and uneven. He offered to fix it for me. He bleached my hair and dyed it purple. They have a wide selection of colors to choose from, and the dye is very pigmented and high quality. The whole thing -- cut, shampoo, bleach, dye, etc -- was worth the low price. GO TO FLOYDS. DONT DYE YOUR OWN HAIR LIKE, ME.
Clean, professional and lots of fun! Cathy has been cutting our familys hair for years. Always a positive experience.
Cathy K is the best stylist and as manager also keeps the store running smoothly and always looking it’s best. I look forward to going in not just to get my haircut but for the conversation and great staff!
I went to Floyds about a year ago around March 2019 for the 1st time and Kathy was the one who cut my hair. A basic military medium fade, and did a great job. Then closer to my wedding in oct 2019, I changed my hair style to a hard part and grew my hair out, and she did a awesome job with that as well. I have always gotten appts with Kathy, she has a great personality, and its always a good time for the 30mins or so it takes to cut my hair. I highly recommend you try the Floyds barbershop out in Columbia. 5 star all day 👍
Loved the atmosphere! The stylists are very nice and I got in and out with a great haircut.
Love this place. They take such great care of you, listen, and cut your hair the way you ask.
Fairly average hair stylist. A little confused on how to use the razor. I can get the same haircut, better quality, in a Miami barber shop in about 15 minutes. There it takes them about 45. also, kudos on completely misunderstanding the point of a barber shop. I shouldnt need an appointment. It shouldnt take you two hours give me a haircut in oh place with No one waiting. On the plus side, everyone is very nice and you will get a decent haircut., Without breaking the bank.
Loved the haircut I got! I had a hair style that I normally wear but I asked the stylist to have some creative liberty to make it look better and she made my hair look really great. I would definitely recommend getting a haircut from Jazmyne. She’s a great stylist!
Awesome place that gives quality haircuts and a very friendly staff.
Mimi is great!! Definitely coming back
Ive had a few cuts and a shave here. One cut was good. The rest of the cuts were disappointing. The shave was a terrible experience.Allow me to echo what other reviewers have pointed out: Many men prefer to visit barbershops on a walk-in basis. Dont do that here. They only staff the bare minimum number of barbers/stylists that their appointment book requires. If youre determined to get your hair cut here, make an appointment. Otherwise, youll be waiting an hour or longer just to get into the chair.I know Floyds is going for a young, upbeat aesthetic, but you dont need to keep the music at concert-level decibels to be cool. Im in my 30s with normal hearing and could barely hear the person across the counter from me the last time I went in.
Absolutely recommend for a great haircut, color, or style. Karen has been doing my hair for several years now and does a beautiful balayage and cut. She is always happy to work with me to find the perfect change I’m trying to make. The rest of the staff is always very friendly and whenever I call in to make an appointment it is always a quick and easy experience. I always recommend people come here whenever they are in need of good hair service.
I enjoy the environment and so far of the several stylists I have used, they have been great.the only downside in my opinion is some of the extra stuff you get at other barber shops at no extra cost is an upcharge.
Terrible experience. This place will butcher you. Beware. I originally got a hair cut that look decent but certainly wasnt at all what I explained to young lady cutting my hair. The next day after taking a shower realized what a bad cut I received. Called the shop and was told they would take care of it. Manager was very pleasant kind and stated no worries we will fix it and you next cut is on us. The young lady I was taken to agreed it was a bad cut and began to make excuses for the bad cut. Then proceeded to tell me the only way to fix it was to cut it way back. Needless to say I ended up just about shaved. I was totally disgusted with this place. No vision or understanding of hair in this place. Needless to say. I never went back for a free cut. If you do go here and get a good cut never switch that person with another. Make sure you stick with that stylist.
Nate did a great job and wasn’t in a rush to knock it out quickly. The environment is nice and clean. The staff was friendly and was greeted. I had to make an appointment and it worked perfectly fine. I had to wait as I arrived early, but didn’t mind. I’m coming back again as Nate corrected my hair from the previous mess up from another shop. Also, his style of cutting hair is old school and had a great conversation through out the hair cut.
My haircut took an hour. The girl cutting my hair spent this time telling me how she is using this job to learn to cut mens hair, as she had just graduated from stylist school a few weeks earlier. I left town the next day for a week long business trip, during which time I had several people comment on parts of my hair that had not been cut evenly. It looked like she had used a steak knife instead of clippers and scissors. When I returned from my trip, I went back to have them fix the shoddy work they had charged me $40 for, but was told that my grace period had ended the day before. They would be happy to fix it for another $40. No thanks.Stay away at all costs. Supercuts quality (or worse) at salon prices. They try to dress the place up as a hip barbershop, but, when it comes to haircuts, ambiance is the least important thing. They hire inexperienced stylists just out of school... Not barbers.
Service and staff are amazing. They always listen and help guide when you have a bad idea. The Covid changes havent changed the vibes of the place.
I always like coming to this place, Keysha does a great job with my sons hair. She knows the right style that fits him.
Worst experience ever. They ask someone with no barber experience to handle my hair cut and they don’t care about customer ‘s feedback .The hair cut is not did professionally and the attitude is really horrible.I would give zero star if I could.
They butchered the hairline on my undercut. I had the perfect hairline before coming in and left with a scrambled mess.
Been coming to Melissa for several years now; she always does an excellent job. Very hard to find someone I like, but she is very consistent in her work. Today she stayed late to fit me in to her schedule. Very friendly and professional. 5/5 would highly recommend!
Floyds is the best! My boyfriend gets his hair cut by Cathy and shes absolutely fantastic. Great conversation, attention to detail, and all around fun spirit.
Overall, the place is clean, friendly, and a good value. The music usually rocks and the wait times are quick on the week days.Ive had Stephen my first time who did a great job with my hair and beard, Id highly recommend him, especially for a beard trim.On my second trip, I had Janet, who only trimmed my beard. It was pretty obvious that she had no idea what she was doing. She shaved my cheeks all the way up below my eyes, so now I have some black hairs growing in, which completely sucks and pisses me off. The lines of the beard werent straight and my neckline was a bit jagged. Then she tore my neck apart trying to get a close shave below the neckline. I ended up bleeding in a couple of places, so she gave me alcohol swabs which irritated my skin even more. Clearly she was using the wrong clippers/razor. She did, however trim my eyebrows for free, and put some beard oil in, probably because she felt bad. Stephen did not do either of those extras. Janet may be better with hair, I havent tried...
I walked in here knowing nothing about my hair. I just had a general idea what I wanted. Luckily I walked in here and Janet found me. She knew exactly what to do and worked with what I wanted. So nice to sit back and be put in the hands of a pro who knew what to do. The cut was great and now Im a big fan of Janets and 99. The place has such a great vibe which is kinda edgy, but very professional. Great overall experience! Cant wait to go back.
Never have I written a review on a barbershop. But Ajeè made my day great employee and even better human being. Wherever this woman ends up shell make the culture better. Will be back thanks to her!
I booked an appointment for a basic beard trim. I provided a photo for what I wanted. I asked for the barber to remove about half the length that I had. What I got was the wrong style for my beard its not even close to provided pictures.they took off 3/4 of the length I had and did a straight razor shave without asking me if I wanted it so I was charged nearly double what I originally booked.I will not be returning.
Barbers and stylists here are just amazing. I see different barber every time I visit. All of them are so good in understanding what I need and executing it. Don’t have to wait too long when you go with appointment.
WOW! Talk about exceptional service w/ a smile.I went in 30 min. before they closed on a Wednesday night. There was no other customers there & I felt quite bad b/c Ive worked in service before & it sometimes sucks when people walk in last minute. But it turned out to be a complete non-issue. They welcomed me warmly, made me feel comfortable AND (last but certainly not least) gave me an awesome haircut w/ the full shampoo, neck shave, massage treatment that Ive come to expect from Floyds.Mind you, this is a brand new location (probably 1 month old per the time of this writing). New employees, etc. Its rare to get this type of service at an established place w/ long-term managers in place. I dont know whos managing this place, but whoever it is, if youre reading this Mr. Boss Man, give her a raise, give her a bonus, send her on a vacation, whatever! But make sure you keep her & treat her well.Seems to be a very well-run outfit doing a stand-up job & so, needless to say, I will be going back. Ill tell you the name of the barber that Im going to try to make my new regular barber... But ONLY under the condition that if / when she gets too busy, I get priority!Just kidding, ask for Karen. Shes awesome.
I came here for a simple French Crop hairstyle. I showed the person a picture of the haircut I wanted. She told me she had never done one before. She took away my phone for a minute, not sure what she did with it. Came back and started cutting my hair. I ended up with probably the worst haircut Ive ever had in my life, nothing like the stuff I wanted. The funny thing is that I paid for that. They cant do a simple French Crop. I didnt ask for a sophisticated haircut. Stay away from this place. You might get a better haircut asking a 10 year-old to do it for you.
I bring my sons to this location for their haircuts because Tela is amazing! Each time I’ve come here the cashier is always welcoming and nice, regardless of who it is. Today for some reason, the young lady at the register was quite rude... no greeting when I came in (just looked in my face), and when I went to check my kids out and pay, she didn’t say anything. She just handed me the money and didn’t even offer me a receipt which should be a given. I will continue to come because of Tela but next time I will address the behavior of it’s not corrected.
Karina is terrific! She listens and gives you what you want. Shes colored and cut my hair.
Easy parking, nice location with restaurants next door and a nail salon. Each person that I have had cut my hair has been creative and professional.
Nicholas is AMAZING. He makes sure that you come in and leave with the haircut you want. He is VERY personable and fun to talk to while getting your hair done too! I came in for a Floyds cut last week and ended coming back to him to do my highlights. Ive never had highlights done on my hair and he did a PHENOMENAL job. Im obsessed with my highlights and appreciate him helping me decide the color.
I didnt go there but my husband did and liked it
Great experience! They take their time in perfecting my hair cuts. It is a very clean and professional environment, always on time and decently priced as well.
Wouldnt go to anyone but Melissa!
I have been looking around this area for several years for a good barber that could give a decent haircut for a fair price. Since moving here in 2000 I have not been to the same barber more than once - yes, that bad. Finally Floyds 99 comes in and Karen - the shop manager - takes care of me. Superb service; great cut, takes her time, massage, hot towel - Awesome!Want a real treat - get the shave.
Professional and friendly. They provide good haircuts and hair supplies. They are good at fitting you in as well.
Do not get a military haircut here. A low fade at my ear turned into a high and tight. Actually, I cant call it a high and tight because that would mean that its faded in some way
Tessa was great!
Solid music, relaxed environment. Ive had multiple different people cut my hair and they all do a good job.
A huge shout out to Susan T. at Floyds 99 Barbershop in Ellicott City! She has a new client for life! Thanks to her patience, calm demeanor, & amazing talent & skills, my son had his first ever tear-free haircut! And not only were there no tears, there were actual smiles (partly due to the blue tongue he got from his lollipop lol). Fourth times a charm! 💙 Im sad to say goodbye to all those curls hes grown, but theyll grow back in cooler months. :-) The best part is their electric clippers are so quiet that you barely hear them, so my son didnt get upset by any loud noises.
I have been here twice now, I I have to give a shout out to Tela. I have NEVER in my entire life liked a haircut enough to get it twice, let alone specifically make sure I book an appointment with the same person. That has all changed since Tela cut my hair almost 2 months ago. Both times I came in, I was so appreciative of her friendly and personable demeanor. Shes very easy to talk to, and just a lovely person in general.I went from very long basically all the way down my back to a short bob above the shoulders. She was very considerate of my feelings and how much of a change it was going to be, but also recognized it was what I wanted and easing me into the right length leaving me with the dramatic do I have now.I have NEVER received so many compliments on my hair ever. This is my haircut, and Im so happy I finally found a look worth sticking with.Thank you so much Tela! Much love, and Ill see you next month 😘❤️
Awesome place to get a haircut! Great welcoming staff, awesome atmosphere, and come out looking like a champ! Sofia and Janet are awesome stylists as is everyone else there! Will be a customer for a long time. Keep up the great work!
Great barbershop with welcoming staff with barbers who help customers determine and leave with their desired cut. First timers get coupons that make at least one visit more than worth it with a free shampoo, brief shoulder massage, and a few coupons.
These guys are very good at trimming beards, and hair styles. They are always very fair to their customers. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a great stylist!
I am giving a one star because I can’t give zero. I went there to see if they actually did a good job cutting hair, I saw a guy leave with a horrible haircut but I said to my self I gave it a shot. I was told to go with a lady name Mimi I asked her if she new how to do a fade she said yes so I let her cut my hair, but oh man this lady totally didn’t know what she was doing, cut my hair so horrific that my friends are making fun of me is ridiculous I totally regret going in there plus I was charged $24 I think a blind person would do a better job I feel so pissed..
Went in today and I was nervous. The gentleman that cut my hair did a great job and he was so patient and nice. Nick truly made my day. Very professional and went above and beyond. Nick is truly an asset to the Columbia Floyds 99.
Very nice place. Our first time here. Very contemporary. A little expensive for my taste but the service was excellent. Very nice people.
Ive been going to Floyds for 10 years, along with the rest of the family. We are still impressed with the precision of Karens cut and styling and none of us allow anyone else near us with a pair of scissors. This new location has some improvements from the EC location: parking is much easier and safer; its a cleaner and brighter store; location; its surrounded by stores that compliment the services offered at Floyds, staff seems more professional; and, most importantly, its managed by Karen (but please try one of the other stylists, so we dont have to share her).
I went here unsure of what hairstyle I wanted. I just knew I wanted a change from my usual. Nick gave me a great new haircut and I’ve been going back ever since. He’s great!
Not really sure how ‘I’d like to keep it long’ translated to cutting it short, but still charge me for a medium length cut? Also, if you ask if someone wants a shampoo to get the hair out, you should mention to them it’s a $5 charge.
Only gotten one haircut here and it was from Ryan. It was really well done. The service was good and the shop was very clean.
Cathy is the stylist for me and my son. I couldnt ask for a better stylist...great haircuts, great conversation, overall wonderful experience.
Great service. Talented staff. Welcoming vibe. Free parking
I absolutely love Karen. She is an amazing colorist, and she makes me laugh! She makes it a great experience when I go. Worth the trip!
Team here doesnt seem all that into the job. Theres very little and half hearted interaction from the moment you enter until you leave. Of two times I came here, one cut was great and the other mediocre.
Ive gotten my haircut and beard trimmed twice here so far. I love it. The stylists always listen to what I want and go from there. I just sit and enjoy the ride.
Poor service. I was told 15-20 minute wait and sat for 45 minutes with my 4 year old son. When I asked they said I should have called ahead. Ive never been her before so I didn’t know that but when you are told 15-20 you expect that or less. I’ll never come back again.
Katie is the best!
Really friendly staff, cool atmosphere. The place is clearly intended for those wanting to avoid the politics of the Asian owned salon, but for those too sophisticated for a boring barber shop. The service is great too, skilled stylists that know what look youre going for.
Great haircut from Cathy!
Have been having to go here until I found an actual barber shop... With actual barbers. I have tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt but my God.. they just cant get it together. Out of the 4-5 times Ive been there, never once did I get the vibe that anyone wanted to be there... Including the customers. Sorry but 30$ for a half a$$ed hair cut is a joke. Not to mention the fact that theyre standing on top of you while you pay... Dont normally write such reviews.. but enough is enough. As it turns out there are quite a few locally owned barbers in Columbia.. you just have to look.
Love the service
Its not a barbershop... Its a chain that employs people who somewhat know how to use clippers. Ive gone here only when Ive needed to because I havent had time to visit my regular/proper barber 35 min away. Its also overpriced.
Been going to this new Barbershop since its opening. Alicia is great! She listens to what I want and always keeps me looking my best.I would highly recommend this shop if you are looking for a modern or traditional cut.-BrianK
I have been getting my hair cut here for a few years and all of the barbers have been great. Tela on the other hand, has been exceptional. She has been cutting my hair for the past two years and I wouldnt have it any other way. My hair is pretty unruly, but Tela always knows how to tame it.Pro tip - go to Tela
Solid haircut but way too expensive
