So I called Brandon at around 10am on a Friday which was yesterday and told him I needed a starter put in my Mercedes ml 350 today. He wanted to use Bosch which I appreciate, but was willing to get one local real quick. Bottom line is I dropped it off at 1:30 it was ready around 4. I got in and out on same day! Highly Recommended:I could give a four instead of five, but I decided to give a five since I felt they are honest. Went there a few times. It is an old school auto service! The owner is a very nice person, and the staff are also very helpful! The labor and prices are very reasonable. They usually explain what exactly is wrong with the car, and if you need or dont need to change anything. The only problem is that they usually dont have all the parts and they have to order them from other stores, which is fine.

Walts is great. They have an honest staff willing to answer any questions you might have about a repair. I was impressed with their collective knowledge and quality of service. Couldnt be happier with the turbo replacement they did for me; they thoroughly diagnosed the issue, checked on the things I requested be checked while it was on the lift, and replaced the turbo with a new, OEM one. I will definitely be back for any service my vehicle requires in the future.

Walts shop has worked on three of my vehicles during the past couple of years. Results were excellent, and I found their prices competitive with other shops in the area. Everyone there is helpful and courteous. My vehicles include domestic brand trucks and suvs so be aware Walts work is not limited to just imported models. Best to make an appointment.

This place is trustworthy, dependable and communicates everything to you very well. I graduated from MU and now drive all the way from Saint Louis so that I can get my car serviced at this location. No other service center can compare to these guys.

Man I really wanted to like these guys. I had bought an Audi just out of warranty and needed a shop that I could trust to do everything. A LED turn signal light went out on my driver side mirror so I took it in to get checked out. Walt said that LED do not normally go out to which I agreed and thought it was probably a wiring issue. He ordered a new LED anyway to which I had no issue with as long as it got fixed. I gave the car to him in the morning but stated that I needed it back by the end of the day. At the end of the day I called him to tell him that Im coming to get it and in return I got a very expletive filled response as how he couldnt figure out what is going on. I went up there, talked to him and eventually I agreed to pay for the new LED and labor which didnt resolve the issue (just under $200). About 6 months down the road I order a trim removal kit and decide to take a look at what is going on. I remove the door trim and the first thing I notice is that the wire running from the mirror to the module is loose. I refit it and viola! Fixed. We could have worked something out but the dude was seriously unprofessional about the whole thing. To add insult to injury when they put my mirror back together it isnt fit properly and now there is a high pitched whistle as I drive down the road. I do wanna say that they didnt seem like bad guys. We even talked a lot about cars which I liked. I really wish my first experience hadnt been bad.

My 2007 Audi A4 had a misfire and rough running engine. Took it to Walts expecting them to diagnose the problem and fix it. They found a problem and quoted to fix it. Cost $2,500 to fix the engine. When I picked up the car it still ran a little rough, especially when sitting at a stoplight. And only 2 months after the repair it is again misfiring and running rough. I took it back and they found a hole in the engine. The original repair did not fix the problem and they did not stand behind their repair. I lost a lot of money and the problem has not been fixed. Sold the car with a bad engine.

To say that Walt is honest would be the understatement of the century! As a female, Im always nervous about being taken advantage of. And with a 2005 BMW Z4, sometimes work needs to be done!I had three mechanics tell me I need new struts. Walt looked at it and told me that my struts are fine, that my car is just in need of a minor adjustment. He fixed my sagging door (which is a big deal in a convertible) and charged me less than $100.Thank you Walt. You have created a loyal customer.

Took my car in to get a timing belt replaced. They did the work for a fair price and in a fair timeframe. Thats where the good ends.Now the car is throwing multiple engine codes that it wasnt throwing before and the drain valve for the coolant is leaking pretty substantially -- also not a pre-existing condition. Not having the time or money to pay for someone to diagnose and fix these issues Im less than satisfied to have more problems after taking it in than before. They seemed like nice folks, but caveat emptor.

Would not take my Passat Wagon anywhere else! They have always finished my repairs in a very timely manner and at the most reasonable rates. They are truly professional in all areas of service. Thanks again, guys, for taking care of me and my vehicle.

I had my MINI Cooper serviced here. These guys are great. They showed me everything about my car (as I know nothing about cars). the Baron MINI in Kansas City told me I needed new front and back brakes and roters. After showing me how much brake pad i had left on the back brakes the guy at Walts said thats nuts and these should last at least another year. They also did quality work and cost a couple hundred bucks less! I am very pleased!

Walts doesnt even deserve one star. I had a 2000 saab 9-5 aero with 168K miles that was shifting really hard between drive and reverse (its an automatic), so i took it into Walts thinking they would know exactly what to do since they obviously work on foreign cars. First, Walt moaned for several minutes about how he didnt want to work on a saab because it was hard to get the parts. As much as this bothered me -- and as much as I wanted to say GET OVER IT IM PAYING YOU MONEY -- I let them look at it. They told me it was a transmission mount and that it would cost about $500 -- $240 for the part and $200 for the labor, plus tax. Well, Ive had this saab for a while now and know that I need to look up the parts before actually letting people do the work. Online, the part -- the EXACT company and part they told me would cost $240 -- was only $77. When I brought this up to Walt and asked if I could just order that part and bring it in, he told me I could put it in myself if I was going to buy it because he had to keep his business running and pay the bills. GUESS WHAT WALT? YOURE SUPPOSED TO MAKE MONEY OFF THE LABOR NOT THE PART!! I even told him I would pay extra for the labor (because I would still save money) and he flat out refused. I will never take a car to Walt ever again. Its pretty clear to me that he jacks up the prices on parts to make more money.

Dont take your car here unless you just wanna throw money down the toilet. Dude charged my wife $25 in labor to change a bulb on her Jetta. Hes obviously not interested in keeping people as customers long term. Again, unless you just have a ton of money to throw away I would avoid taking your car here.

Took my classic 74 VW Westie in a couple of yrs ago for a few minor repairs to pass vehicle inspection. They had it for over 2 weeks because it was not an emergency. Terrible service, and horrible experience all around.
