What a joke! They sent me a letter bragging how they save customers who switch. Well, after I spoke with a woman from their company on the phone their quote was $3500 MORE that I pay now. This company is a joke! It was $5,500 for a regular passenger car. The woman was very rude and offered no reason why Their company was more then $3,500 more then what Ive been paying. Stay away they are a joke!
UPDATE: The day after posting my feedback, I received a call from Jamie Edelen, who identified herself as the Asst. Sales and Client Services Supervisor. She totally understood what I needed, answered all my questions, and provided exactly what I needed within a few minutes. I dont understand why the previous representatives could not do that. Jamie herself deserved 5 stars for her service but Im only bumping the companys rating from 1 to 3 stars for inconsistent service quality. It shouldnt require a customer to complain or post a bad review before a company can provide good service.[ORIGINAL POST] I recently purchased a property and the lender requires my insurance company to add a mortgage clause on the property into my Amica home insurance policy. Between my wife and I, we have contacted 4-5 people via phone, chat, and email. Each time they would take our information and said they will get back to us but they never did. Our repeated follow-up calls and emails go into black holes. Ive called and left a voicemail for the CEO of the company and I probably wont get a response as well. Time to switch to a company that is professional and cares enough about their customer to respond
I am simply trying to update my policies after a move. I have now had 4 conversations with their underwriting phone support. It’s still not right!!! Amica used to be known for customer service. I’m not sure if there has been a change in the company but I am so disappointed. I will try to get a supervisor on line Monday and will give them one last chance before I start to shop for another insurance company. Pitiful performance Amica.
Interesting that there are anything other than 5 stars when compared with my experience. I joined Amica after a family member suggested them even though she held an executive position with a rival insurance company. Well into being a member, I added a motorcycle as one of my policies and discussed with the representative that the rate was a little high. The representative acknowledged motorcycles were a new area for Amica and then suggested rates may be lower with another popular insurance company. I stuck with Amica through all my insurance needs because after I was scammed with a lawsuit claiming severe back injury (even though my car didnt even leave a mark on the other car), Amicas lawyer handled everything and, whats more, my rates didnt go up. Besides that re-assuring experience, the representatives are always so friendly and efficient on the phone. Never had a problem with Amica....although, truly, my only claim involved that one tap on the bumper of another car. Been a customer since 2010.
I was trying to get in touch with customer service to finish my email quote but this ladies in customer service are so rude, unprofessional and no patience at all to help me get information. I called twice to get a different person and both has the same attitude. I have 2 homes and 2 cars insurance but looks like they are not interested to do business or getting new customers. Now I see all these bad reviews and make sense . Is Better to be away from this company.
I am 47 years old and own my own business.. They did nothing but waste my time. I own 2 homes and 4 vehicles and after giving them all that info. Waste of time.. They wanted to run my credit and I declined due to a divorce Im going through and wads told not to allow anyone to do so. However I gave them my exact score and also said lets say it is the worst.. A300.. They still refused to give me a quote? I asked if I had the worst credit what would it matter.. Mine is in the 700s but I would rather tell tell strangers than give my social # before getting a quote.. I got 5 other quotes with no issues.. What a joke.
We have had Amica as our car insurance company for almost 20 years, but recently switched as a result of their deceptive and disgusting practices. We recently noticed that Amica offered us a relief discount as a result of COVID-19 (COVID-19 Auto Premium Relief Program), but were surprised to see that our bill had actually slightly increased per month. Upon closer examination, we were being charged a higher rate per month than what we were charged in the previous months (I assume to make-up for this relief discount). I like to point out that nothing had changed with respect to our coverage or driver safety (i.e. no accidents or tickets and the same vehicles). I dont understand that how during a pandemic when our travel has dwindled to trips to the grocery store and members of our family have lost their jobs that our rates would actually increase. Amica, can you tell me how this practice is acceptable and please feel free to respond publicly (Im not interested in your apologizes or empathy).
The customer service is stellar. Ive been insured by their top two competitors in other capacities and I would never look back. I will be an Amica customer for life. I recommend them to everyone wholl listen. Bundle your services if you have the opportunity. Youll love them so much youll want to never deal with any other insurance company again. Thank you Amica.
I have had this insurance for over 8 years, had only one claim for a minor fender-bender over 5 years ago. Recently, I started to use the road side assistance offered by this insurance company, mind you, I always had this as part of the package but never took advantage of it .All of a sudden I get a letter in the mail that my policy is being dropped, not because I have any accident claims, but because I used the road side assistance 5 times in 3 years. So helping to open your car door or jump your battery is apparently a big crime with them, even though we have 5 cars in our policy and we have not even had a minor fender-bender in the last 4 years!I think it is a Fraudulent company, if they can take payments for our 2 homes and 5 cars for 8 years and turn around and drop me for using your road side assistant without prior warning!!!Please pick another company that will reward your loyalty.
Expensive company go anywhere else
Good customer service
My whole family is very impressed by and grateful for this insurance company. Ive driven professionally for many years and never have I ever encountered an insurance company this helpful. Thank you Amica.
Dont use these scam artists. They wasted so much of my time with the process. No other insurance company asked for the home inspection report. They told me they cant cover a newly remodeled home. Extremely unprofessional. First the hook in with a fake quote, then time wasting tactics. Wait till you have to file a claim, Id suggest you move on.
We have had excellent experiences with Amica on all levels. They have been our home and auto insurer for 25 years. They have been prompt, reasonable and helpful through auto accidents and home issues during that time. I would recommend them to anyone.
I have been with Amica for 4 years. My experience has fortunately been a very good one. I switched to Amica after fear of a huge price increase while insured with Geico. My rates with Geico went up very little but I was quoted an even lower price for auto with Amica. I have home and auto with them, I have had 2 claims in the 4 years and the process was very straightforward and easy. Only complaint is they don’t offer much for rental coverage on their policies. The reps are very friendly and will ask you questions to provide additional savings. Can’t say I will ever leave, well unless I find somewhere cheaper lol
I have very good experience with claim department. When lower level was flooded due to broken water pipe, Amanda Lantz, Claim representative guided me so efficiently that I was amazed. That makes my worries go away. I commend her for efficiency and guidance.B.Joshi.
This is a disgrace to insuarance companies. A person who has their insurance plan hit me back in December and was gaven a citation by the police for being at fault. They police report clearly states that driver was rude and reckless, and should be held responsible. To get out of not paying my medical bills, and other expenses this company claimed their driver was not at fault. How disgusting and low can a company be by trying not to do handle its responsibility. TAKE HOLD OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, AND PAY MY BILLS. I STILL HAVE THE POLICE REPORT!
Great customer service and extremely reliable. Highly recommended.
The handled my homeowners claim promptly and kindly.
The claim department doesnt fight for their customers. I had an accident and the person was at fault. The company accepted some liability and doubled my insurance.
Great service wonderful staff
Its my first time to be able to use my car insurance - ever. My car was rear-ended last April 2014 (before the Spring break). A few seconds after it happened, I made contact with AMICA. About 25 seconds later, some person actually answered on the other end of the line. I asked what to do - and I was given a quick, practical to do list. Then, a few hours later, after I had settled at home, I called AMICA again. They collected needed data, then, I was advised what to do next. They arranged everything - the collision center, the car rental and the deductible re-imbursement (from the other insurance company...). Everything went smooth. Im impressed. Finally, the AMICA guys who answered my calls were all nice and patient (I felt like they tried to understand my needs).AMICA, so far, a great experience. :)Inevitable: we told some of our colleagues about it!
They gave me $138/month online quote and on the real time they said it is $243.6/month, this should be crime falls advertisement
I really want to give 0 stars . I was hit by a person insured with Amica . The driver accepted liability and responsibility for causing the accident but my car is still not repaired and it’s a month later . Why should the victim be inconvenience ? If I have been inconvenience this long I wonder what the repair process is going to be like . Save your money and go with Geico cause right now Amica is terrible in my eyes.
Very bad customer service representative
