I called and advised the manager of my issue. First let me state he was extremely nice. He told me to bring my vehicle the next day and he could take a look at it. The next morning i was there at 8am. To my suprise he advised i would have to leave the vehicle with him. This is only reason i didnt give 5 stars because i wasnt prepared to leave my vehicle and i didnt know this prior. However, i left my vehicle he located the problem and advised me what to do to have it fixed. He didnt charge me to diagnose my vehicle and for that i was appreciative. He was very helpful and indeed a nice gentleman. I would recommend this business to anyone who is looking for reasonable prices and quality service.
Ive been taking all of my vehicles to Mr. Transmission for the past six years. Being a female that knows nothing about cars of course I was looking for someone I could trust. I knew just from talking to the owner Mark Bingham over the phone that he made me feel comfortable and was even going to check out my car for free! I could even stand outside the bay and watch them work on my car. Anything they replaced they had it in a box to show me. He is trust worthy and reasonably priced. You never get a strange voice on the phone because he always answers. All my family and friends go to him when they have a problem with their vehicles. I give him 5 stars because thats as high as they will let me go.
Went to have a BRAND NEW transmission put in and paid $4,000+ to have it done. 2 weeks later the car stopped and wouldn’t go forward or backwards. They had to put a hose back on that came lose. Here it is 2 months later and I have a transmission leak, coolant leak and power steering leak! Called and “MARK” must runs and answer every call that’s made there and when I tell you he’s the most DISRESPECTFUL person I’ve ever dealt with. Got there and talk to the “OWNER” and he states that he apologize but “MARK” had death the day prior. I understand that things happen but you don’t mix your personal problems/feelings in with work! It’s not excuse to be UNPROFESSIONAL especially when someone is trusting you with their vehicle! If I could give -10 stars I would. I wouldn’t let them blow dust off of a car of mine anymore!!!
Had a wonderful experience. They helped me so much with my warranty company and got me the help I needed to get it fixed. And had it done in a timely and very professional fashion. Would recommend these guys for everything. They done a killer job and had even better personality when you talked to them 10 out of 10 would recommend
Awesome service and reasonable prices! Transmission went kaput on my ‘79 Malibu, she’s my baby and these guys did a wonderful job! Runs beautifully again and I couldn’t have asked for better customer service. I’ve had other shops take months for simpler repairs because they had a hard time finding parts but this place had her in and out in just a few days. Very appreciative; will definitely be back!
Would say that Mr. transmission is the perfect balance of the bake shop and Little shop in the fact that it’s an individual Lyons franchise so they have some freedom and flexibility with their staffing and with warranties and I would say that they have a wider range of support because they are part of a franchise I’ll chose Mr. transmission because I am going to be traveling across the country I needed to make sure that the warrant the repairs that I had would have a warranty that would last anywhere...
Mark is very polite and respectful. Thank you Mark and the team for your services.
Mark and his Guys did a great job on my transmission and the price was very responsible. I recommend theses guys. There fast and the service is great and I will be using them again,
My experience with Mr Transmission was fantastic. They got me in and out and completely resolve my issue. The customer service was fantastic. I felt welcome and appreciated for my services. I would definitely be referring them to friends, family, co-workers, and to anyone who has transmission related issues. Service was A-1 in my book. Thanks guys. Youre the best!!!!
They were all friendly, understanding, and communicative with me. They were extremely accommodative and got everything taken care of for a great price. I feel much safer driving because of their work
I have never had a more positive experience with anyone in the vehicle repair industry. EVER!!Didnt get my issue resolved but my car was assessed at no charge and they found another issue that requires attention and took the time to explain everything to me in great detail with no double-talk.I will be going back to them ASAP.
Bud and his crew have been my familys go-to for automobile problems over the years. Everyone is so nice and they do great work. We have always been treated with honesty and fairness. Thanks again Bud for getting us through our last auto problem this past week. Yall are the greatest!
Excellent service and work. Very profession and great to work with.I will not hesitate to use them again.
I saw the reviews before going here and I was optimistic because they been around 50 years. I brought my 2002 Honda accord to this place in 3/2014. The shop ripped my transmission out and then said it be 2900 to rebuild it or 400 to put it in the trunk to try another shop. When I said put it in the trunk they dropped to 2300 instantly. I got my car fixed. Didnt run like new like promised but was ok to get back and forth from work. 8 months later I return when the acceleration slowed. I took them within the warranty and the guy drove it around or 5 minutes and said I its just a computer delay and sent me on my way the warranty was for 12 months 12,000 miles and Im not at 18,000 miles with a broke transmission. I call them up and they say we had a computer meltdown we lost all information from last 2 years. I dig up my warranty and the guy says sorry your outside your warranty we can help you at a grand. They are crooks.. please save your money and your time.. I should have listened to the first guy who reviewed it
Great customer service. Knowledgeable and honest pricing!!!!
On Oct 30, 2015 I was involved in a car accident on I-20 near Monticello Rd in Columbia with multiple vehicles. My car was damaged as a result of driving over the wreckage of other vehicles.I could see the transmission fluid from my car in the roadway. I could not drive my car so I had it towed to the nearest transmission shop; MR. TRANSMISSION.The next day I went to Mr. Transmission to see how bad the damage were. The guys in the shop did a complete assessment of my damages and gave me an estimate on repairing the transmission and pointed out other items that would need to be repaired. The process of getting the insurance company to make a decision on my car was VERY SLOW. In the end, they said my car was a total loss. Took them almost 2 weeks to come up with that.I contacted the owner at Mr Transmission to let him know that I would not be repairing my car and the insurance company would be coming by to pick up the car.Other than fixing my car, all the guys in the shop were pleasant to work with. My car battery had gone dead and they recharged it so that I could get my cds out.I can go on & on on what they did for me for FREE, and what I observed on how well they treated their customers. In the future if I need transmission work done, these guys can have my business. I CAN TRUST THEM!!!
I took my 2001 Lexus es300 for transmission repair and they ripped me off because it was a “Lexus”. They charged me $3300 n did not even replace my transmission, they just changed some of the moving parts inside the transmission. They gave me a warranty for 12k miles, but the car transmission broke down again soon after driving the car 12k. Don’t trust this place. I don’t think they charge properly, they take advantage of people. If you have a old car n needs transmission repairs don’t fix it here, the amount of money they charge, I could of bought another 2001 es300.
I thought I had a transmission problem with my Ford Taurus. Took it to Mr Transmission to check it. Turned out to be a minor engine problem. They checked it for free. Wow! These guys are very honest. Thanks
My son has a 95 Dodge Intrepid that had very unusual transmission issues. Bud Trapp was very helpful in explaining the process and quoting the repair costs. Turned out the transmission needed a complete rebuild. Additionally there was an issue with parts ordered in that failed quickly. Mr Trapp stuck to his original quote, re-did the bad parts not once but twice and also resolved an issue that was causing some transmission problems that was not a part of the transmission. Admittedly, the car went back twice for rework due to faulty new parts, but in the end we were very satisfied with the work, professionalism and communication we had with Mr Trapp. I have no idea how they made money sticking to the original quote, but stick to it they did. Very satisfied with Mr. Trapp and his shop. Will be taking all my future transmission work to him.
Very helpful
