Me and my girlfriend applied for these apartments in the beginning of August. They told us and on the lease that the apartment would be ready to move in September 4th. Towards the end of August we kept calling to see what the update was on the apartment and they ended up telling us that the room we were suppose to move in, still have people living there and still needed to be updated. So they told us the next move in date was October 5th and gave us a new lease. Me and my girlfriend just moved on cause they were just wasting our time and money. We called to ask to get our deposit refund and they couldnt give it to us. Just save your money and time and dont believe what they tell you if you do end up applying.

Just recently moved from these apartments. Around the 19th July. The service in the office is awful. I’ve had multiple interactions with them and I’m always met with an attitude. I had my old 2004 Sentra sitting in visitors area of the parking spaces and last year around June I got tagged for my old car not having tags/current registration so I moved my car outside the gate of the apts and parked it there since I cannot afford registration for both of my cars at the moment. My car was sitting outside the gate of the apartments moved every now and then without a problem for over a year and I never got tagged again. And 7/21/2021 my car was randomly towed. I had just moved and planned to go back and get my car but it was gone within a couple days. I talked to the office and they said it was their policy but when I checked the other cars that were outside the gate a lot of them had 2020 tags when we are in 2021 so I know she was lying. Also they did not give warning about towing my vehicle but as of 7/22/2021 they put this flyer on the residents’ doors. If I was warned that my second vehicle was going to be towed bc of my tags I would have taken it elsewhere but obviously the office did not care enough to keep their residents informed about what’s going on with the apartments’ community before they take action.Also rent randomly goes up every year, there are stray cars EVERYWHERE, there is no security, and don’t expect to get anything broken fixed within a reasonable time frame.

Look elsewhere to live. They dont care about you, your pet or your childs safety one bit. More lights are burnt out in the community then actually work. Sprinklers flood sidewalks, streets and parking lot daily. Zero efforts to fix since the water is paid for by the residents!

Very expensive especially for being right next to Fiesta Village! I would give 0 stars if I could but I applied around September 2020. I had to pay $210 just for the application process and holding deposit upfront. When we decided to not go with these apartments, we were told we could receive our money back since we didnt go through with the process. I was issued a check and once I received the check and deposited into my account it was no good. Tides at Grand Terrace placed a stop payment on it saying that they already gave me my refund which they never did! I called and asked and they kept saying they didnt owe me anything that I had already gotten it. I sent them all of my statements from my bank account proving I never received it and they still argued for 3 months even though they told me if I sent all the information showing I never received it that they would reissue another check. Every time I would call Id get the run around or be told Id get a call back and never did. I literally work at a bank and if a stop payment is placed then theres absolutely no way money came out of their account like they are saying. Especially if my bank charged me a fee for the check not being any good. I finally got ahold of the corporate office and she seemed like she was gonna help and then I never heard from her again. After 3-4 months of trying to get my money back I finally left it alone and now Im in the process of taking legal actions just to get back $210!

Weve lived here more than two and a half years and love it. I couldnt believe some of the reviews that were posted here. Weve never had issues with infestations of any kind, and the few problems weve had during our stay have been handled promptly and professionally by the staff and management. The maintenance team is diligent and thorough, and everyone in the office is friendly and takes great care of us.Also, to address the complaint about being billed twice for trash, one is for access to the dumpsters and one is to have trash (and recyclables) picked up from your door by a valet five nights a week. Its a wonderful convenience and we frequently use both services, so the separate and reasonable charges are fine by us.We have been so happy here and so well cared for. We highly recommend Alvista Terrace. Rent hikes are happening all over, they cant be avoided, and what youll pay here is well worth the space and service. Well live here until were ready to move out of state, and then well be sad to leave.

Weve been here two years and its definitely looking better, but with these new screens on the windows i cant see out side at night when a car alarm goes off. There are to many homeless people coming around and one of our cars got broken into. Need more lighting and camers on the side parking. Car alarms going off all night..

I been here almost a year, and I love this place. Its a quiet area. Ive had no problems with office staff they get things done in a timely manner.

This place used to be a nice place to live till the new management took over. The manager and her employees are running this place to the dump. I DO NOT RECOMMEND taking a lease here. Extremely over-priced for mediocre apartments.

Place has gone to hell the New Management thinks theyre too good for the old tenants living here. Can.t receive a package because there to incompetent to set-up the new system up ..No one knows what there doing. Dont move here just wasting your money ...Rent has skyrocketed over new management and many tenants moving out due to it and lack of knowledge...

Terrible service, the lady always giving out the wrong keys to the door, they got roaches and bugs, they go up on rent every other month, and lots of homeless people always come inside. Also good luck with a work order because maintenance almost NEVER comes unless u continue to go to the leasing office. The jacuzzi has been broke for over a year and I should know because I lived here for a year and three months. New management has no idea what their doing and the apts are waaaaaay over priced move in starting at 1700 at LEAST

Just moved their and issues already. When I received my keys and done the walk through the water pressure was very low, the storage room on the balcony had trash in it, A/C wasn’t getting cold, and few other issues. Maria stated everything and stated it will be done that following Friday. When I called Back Maria was off and Jesse wasn’t aware of the issues and said he would get back with me. I waited and never received a call back. The next morning I was irritated and spoke with Maria and about an hour later she called back saying the things done. The A/C still not working properly I called back informed Maria. I can’t stay there in that heat. Callled again spoke with Kim she said I was on the list for A/C company to come out. Waited all day so now I’m off work at 4 pm they still haven’t came out. My child and I can’t not stay there with that heat and now I have to stay somewhere else unless the Air Conditioner is fixed. I’m very disappointed paying for a place I can’t stay. So far things not looking good. I wished I would read the past reviews before moving there.

Lived here for a little over a year and was pretty satisfied overall with our apartment. I was in a hurry to get an apt at the time, so I ended up with an apt where the patio faces the main road, so a lot of dust. Because of that, I tend to open my window at night, and that perhaps led to my apt trapping so much heat especially during summertime. With the price I paid, I think its worth it overall: you get fridge, washer + dryer in your unit, gym and pool, and pretty decent online payment system, as well as pet rental. Its been a joy with the management as well, since we can put in work orders online and they respond pretty quickly (3 days max). Unfortunately Ive had poor experience with neighbors pet: even though the contract states pets no heavier than 35lbs, I have constantly seen my neighbors having pets over this weight limit. One night when I was strolling my dog, some nicely groomed dogs (presumably neighbors or their visitors) began chasing and became extremely aggrevated toward my dog, so beware if you choose to stroll at night.

These are ok apartments. The gym has been closing at 6 for weeks now because they say they dont have someone to close it at 10:30. At the moment but are looking for someone. This is super inconvenient for those of us that work 8-5. Security used to be the one that locked it up so it makes me think that they dont have anyone patrolling, but not sure if thats the case. I hop it isnt since the gate doesnt work half the time and is open.The apartments are good sizes, for the most part a quiet area. They took away the jungle gym that the kids used to play on. Just wished all the amenities were actually available since its not like its an inexpensive complex.

We have lived here for a five months and our rent bill has been wrong every single month. There are random charges added on that no one can explain. When the new company took over, they took the electric bill out of our name and then charged us a fee for not having the bill in our name which is absolutely absurd. We pay our electric bill directly to Colton electric yet they keep adding the electric bill to our rent bill too. They refer us to the service that prepares the bill but they dont have any straight answers either. The apartments are nice, but living here has been a headache with trying to figure out our rent each month. Weve been in the office several times and we are always given different excuses for why our bill is wrong. If we didnt check our bill thoroughly each month, we would have paid hundreds of dollars that shouldnt have been on the bill to begin with.I also wanted to add that the pool and spa are dirty, the dog park has a huge hole in the fence that dogs can escape through, the lights at the dog park dont work, the gym closes at 6, and the gate is open all day which negates the point of even having a gate since anyone can just come in. Rent is so expensive that you would expect the amenities they sell you on to be working, but most if it is not up to par.

Wonderful place to live. Polite staff who go out of their way to accommodate residents. Complaints get handled quickly, with follow up resolutions. Unfortunately, there are people that go through the dumpsters but they dont harass or bother you. The front gate is always open as well, but I guess residents complain when its closed and they forget their gate key and code.

Have live at Alvista for about a year and I must say it was a pleasure. Courteous and professional staff employed by a reputable company. The grounds are well kept, and the price is nice. After exploring neighboring apartments in the vicinity I would say Alvista is a hidden treasure. All in all I would recommend this as a place to live with your family.

Horrible place to live! Im being flooded by my neighbor up stairs and no one answers the door!! I also called the emergency maintenance number and no one answers!! Also manager is Rude! Dont move in here!! As soon as our lease is done we r moving out! They also never come on time to fix the problems! Bs!!

I lived here for a year 2016-2017, and I loved it. Moved for personal reasons, but the only issue I had when I first moved in was too many cats, and then they got that under control! But other than that never had a bug problem, maintenance always handled things in a timely manner, no noisey neighbors, both pools were kept cleaned, gym is a decent size, never had any issues with parking, or break ins! Definitely considering moving back ! Oh, and the office staff was always friendly and helpful!

I lived here for a year and a half and had a wonderful experience. The community is clean and well-kept. Management has great customer service and the maintenance team does an excellent job in responding to work orders in a timely manner. As a single mom, safety was a big concern for me. I always felt safe in this community, and thats worth a lot! I moved out for personal reasons but I definitely enjoyed living here!

I currently dont live there but I am in the process. I got to speak with Lo and he was pretty helpful unlike a few properties I contacted. I had a pretty good first time experience with them

I have been living here for 3 months now and I really like it! The young ladies in the office are very nice, polite, yet professional. The grounds are well maintained, the gym has everything you could possibly need to get in shape, the pool,barbeque areas, and kids playground are great! I live in an upgraded unit, so thats a PLUS! I love the fact that you are able to pay rent online, and submit work orders online as well. So far....So good! The only reason I did not give a complete 5 star rating is because there are quite a few cats that just roam the premises, not sure if they are pets and the back walk up gate needs to be repaired. I will do another follow up review in another few months.

If you like cockroaches, broken a/c for days stray cats, rent hikes after youve been a faithful tenant, and multiple power outages, this place is for you. Oh and dont expect your deposit back, even after you leave the place spotless. They will say they needed to paint or wash carpet. Unbelievable. I have a two bedroom house now for what I was paying for a third floor apartment.

Alvista terrace has been a great place to live. Ive lived here for about 2 years and have been blessed by the upkeep of the facilities the new gym the pools and how close it isto live some much needed to assess cities stores malls and Entertainment spots.

I helped my son and his Girlfriend get a apartment hear and they love it hear its really well kept and really nice area, I cam to visit about 5 times and had I a great time we BBQ by the pool and took a swim the water was really clean and cool, And from what I hear the office people is really cool and really understanding overall its a great place to leave in,

It is really friendly over there and amazing it always seems like they are trying to keep it clean I love it

Pros:This place is under new management which is awesome. I moved in here about two years ago and at first the building had a big skunk infestation along with rude staff. But now that we have new management, they came in and changed everything for the better. I no longer see nor smell skunks and I think they replaced the staff because my interactions with them lately have been good. They also remodeled the gym by replacing all of the broken machines with brand new ones and added so much more to it. It’s amazing! Plus they repainted the whole building, fixed the entrance gate and the bbq grills. The pools lounge chairs are beautiful and the upgrades to the building are really nice.Cons:With renovations comes an even bigger increase in rent every year. So be ready for that.Also, yes they remodeled the gym but you can only use the gym during their office hours which are from 10am-6pm everyday including weekends. They’re not open early enough for me to use it before work and they’re closed by the time I get home so I had to get a membership at LA fitness. Smh that’s so tacky of them.They interrupt your sleep mon-fri with loud bangs of metal against cement. There is this HD SUPPLY truck that comes every morning to act as an alarm clock to residents. Every morning they drive through the building, park the truck next to your window having loud conversations and screaming while unloading the trucks by dropping the medal door on the cement and unloading excruciatingly loud. It gives me anxiety every morning. I’ve explained to the office about how unfair it is to the tenants to have to break their sleep in such a cruel way and they said they’ll fix it but never have.Overall: be prepared to pay a lot in rent for a beautiful looking building, with a gym you can barely use and an excruciating alarm clock every morning so you won’t be able to sleep well here.

They are false advertising and when you have a complaint the office staff and the owners of the property ignore the fact that you are making a complaint. I believe that when some of the tenants are trying to set up a meeting with the owners and after time goes by and you still have no answer I believe that is call being disrespected by the property management and the owners. My question is why wont you the owners meet with your tenants like we keep asking and no the BBQs dont work only one them and only half of it works Today is 9/16/2017 and the front gate is not working again and it was just fixed a couple of weeks ago from being broken for over three months the security does not do there job right and I have been up all night looking for the walk around security and no sight of him we are asking where is the safe living that we are supposed to have. This is not a crime free property people that dont belong in this property are steeling from tenants vehicle as far as I been here I have heard about 4 or five apartment break in and a lot of stuff have been stolen from those apartments. On July 4, 2017 I heard that a couple of guys were going to the gas station right at the corner, as they were coming towards the side exit gate of the property they were ROBBED at gun point suppose ably by some other tenants and on July 5, 2017 there was another attempt of robbery on the other side of the complex where is no exit on that side. You tell me where is our safety seems to me that we are being disrespected by people that think that they are better than us face it yes face it you do.

Hmm? Interesting, these crooks took down the photos I uploaded of the millions of cockroaches you will ACTUALLY see in your apartment if you dare flip the light switch at 3am, not the phony saturated images that they upload. So shady, do NOT trust them. They didnt give us our deposit because we painted the wall back the wrong color but we literally got the paint from them. We left it spotless. They also increased our rent randomly smh. We found a house for the same price instead of living in their cockroach infested 3rd floor unit. Keep looking!

How often do the rent go up and how much?

So I lived here for a year they kept my entire security deposit and then my 350 dollar deposit for my animal. The place will screw you over.

Very noisy. Staff is rude and lazy. Gate is always broken so non residents come and go as they please. Cars get broken into on a regular basis. They have a very bad roach and termite problem. People ride through the parking lot playing their radios very loud bat all hours of the night. Homeless people gather in the parking lot regular

My naibor upstairs flooded us down stairs ive been calling the 24hour emergency phone number that was giving to me,i was told that I could always call that number incase of an emergency that they would answer right away ..been calling for 45 minutes and nothing....

Alvista Terrace is a great and clean place to live but the rent is overpriced and residents are double charged for trash service . Residents have to pay for Alvisa Terrace personal trash pickup service ($25) each month even though they already pay for the city of Colton for trash pick up.

I live here. Its OK except rents too high.

We tried getting an apartment at this complex, and at first everything was went to pay $90 for our application fee . Was told wrong information all the way around from daniel . Probably a new person told what date to put down so we did but we couldnt move in that date so EVERY day we waited are rent went up $7 ridiculous dont recommend to anyone !!!
