The pricing was fair compared to the market where rental cars are extremely overpriced these days! One special surprise was the free upgrade when we arrived from a mini-van to a Yukon XL; however, if we did require a mini-van, we would have been very disappointed. Some people cannot handle a vehicle that large or wouldnt want the extra gas expense - but for our 7 passenger group, this was a great surprise. Return was so smooth and easy at the Colorado Springs, Airport location; arrived at 6:30 a.m. and the staff was ready to help and very friendly at the lot. THANK YOU!

CHECK YOUR CHARGES-I returned my rental more than 1.5 hours earlier than my agreement. It was due at 3:30PM and I returned the car at 1:53 PM. There wasnt anyone at the BUDGET Kiosk outside. There was a wooly heavyset guy cleaning cars that had a scanner on his waist. I asked him if he had to check me in or if I needed to go to the counter in the airport. He said, No, just go ahead and drop the keys in that drop and I will get it checked in when I am finished here. A few days later I am looking at my credit card account and see a Budget charge for considerably more than my agreed charge. I call the COS counter and I got a busy signal repeatedly all day, so that evening I call the Customer Care number and stay on the phone to get recordings that tell me that my wait time will be more than 30 minutes. Today I finally got through to the COS counter and spoke to Greg and he said the car was turned in after 5pm. I shared the foregoing with Greg and he tells me that I have to call customer care. I have spent more time on the phone with Budget Customer Care and trying to call and get through to the COS Budget counter. PLEASE MAKE SOMEONE CHECK THE CAR IN WHEN YOU RETURN IT HERE BECAUSE THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER!PS...there was also a 1 liter sized bottle of soft drink under the passenger seat when I was removing my items. Obviously they dont clean the cars out well either!

My rental experience was exceptionally wonderful Budget Car Rental even at the late hours when I arrived to pick up the vehicle. The person who worked at that evening was so WONDERFUL and made the twelve hour of my journey from Colorado Springs without know that flights got change in my travels, I was suppose to arrive at Jacksonville at 4pm my plan landed several hours late and my reservation was still secured. I am giving the highest review to the Customer Service Representative who performed her service and represented the company with pride in highly professional manner. I hope she exceptionally recognizedand rewarded in making the last destination worries and concern so marvelous!!!I WILL ALWAYS USE BUDGET CAR RENTAL from thus day and always.

The truck had 20 psi tire pressure safety Hazzard for 1. It had a cracked windshield, a messed up rear bumper, and someone elses trash in it. Another safety hazzard. You should not be renting cars like that, especally with covid. 20 psi in the tires ridiculous. I didnt want to have to clean some elses trash out.left it cleaner then I got it. Someone doesnt care about their job obviously. Smh

We had a excellent experience with Budget. No frills pick up & drop off. There was no one there when we arrived for our early flight so we just dropped the keys in the drop box. The vehicle, a 4-cylinder, 2021 Toyota Camry, was in excellent condition & did make the trip up Pikes Peak.

I have been using Budget as my preferred rental car service for over 10 years now. I have always liked the fast and easy service provided by the Fastbreak service offered by the company. Even though I only use rental cars 2 to 3 times a year, I always feel like I am a VIP the way my car is always ready and waiting when I arrive.

On a one day rental I returned the auto in 23 hours I was double charged and explained by the agent this was because I did not keep the car a full 24 hours. Please credit my VISA debit one half the amount charged Otherwise I will never use Budget again and I will recommend all my contacts to never use Budget WVM

Our Southwest flight was very late getting into Colorado Springs airport, we didnt land until 1245am. We called ahead and told them we would be late. The customer service agent said they would wait for us, awesome. We landed, made our way to Budget and they were still open. The employee behind the customer was very nice. She took care of everything in no time and we were soon on our way. When we returned the car we took it to the return area. An employee was there to get my name, milage and make sure gas tank was full. Thanks so much to the employees at this Budget location.

Service was quick and easy, no issues with that. My only issue was there was broken glass in the back seat and in the seat belts, I had to dig pieces out of them so my kids could buckle and they found multiple piece throughout the time we had the car.

I had a contract/agreement for 3 Sep through 6 Sep. I dropped the rental off at roughly 04:30 in the morning to catch a 06:15 flight out of Colorado Springs. There was no one present to accept the keys or check in the truck so I left the keys in a drop box. The rental was not checked in until 20:30 on the 7th so I was billed late fees, an extra day, and Im not sure what else since I never actually received a receipt. Now it has become my responsibility to prove I dropped off the rental when no one was present. First of all, why was no one present at the return site? How many other people did this happen too? Now I am spending my valuable time to prove that Budget/Avis made a mistake so that I can be refunded the appropriate amount. I would encourage Budget/Avis to utilize the footage of the cameras overlooking the airport parking instead of questioning the integrity of their customers when they make a mistake due to a broken process. I will not only not use Budget/Avis again as a govt employee I will encourage the govt and more specifically folks traveling to COS for business with the Air Force and DoD to black flag Budget/Avis.

Car was full of dog hair, dried up lettuce on the floor board, 1/4 inch of crumbs in the cup holder and the windows were so dirty I would have to go straight to the car wash. Exchanged the car they provided one with a massive side impact from a collision not noted anywhere on the paperwork and smelled terrible inside. Returned the keys and gave up.

I wish there would have been choice for NEGATIVE 100 and I would have given that.I was on family vacation and booked Range Rover velar or equivalent and paid for same . However on counter I was actually given a LEMON Toyota 4 runner that does not even fall into luxury car category. On top of that this car was an actual LEMON. It will accelerate only when kept on pressing accelerator for 30 seconds or more . Smart key does not work and had to lock from inside . Wasted $150 with lock smith when my kid accidentally kicked the car from outside when key was inside . Ideally with smart key, if the key is inside, you can’t lock the car from outside, but this being a LEMON, all and everything is wrong with it. Called the office many Times for help and end up being on long wait with no response.This car and the manger of this office Need to be shown the way out immediately.This was my 1st experience with Budget and it was horrible. Will never come back to budget and will advice all my friends, colleagues and family members to stay away from this cheap company that defrauds the customers by promising luxury cars and end up having them being harassed by forcing them to use substandard LEMON cars

The interior of my rental wasnt clean or sanitized. I had to clean and sanitize it myself before using it. I would think since were still going through covid yall would be taking extra precaution and cleaning methods. I really hope yall will implement higher standards in cleaning and sanitation moving forward. Believe it or not it Really Matters to your customers that we recieve a clean and sanitized rental.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I do not write negative reviews on companies, but this one has taken me over the edge. My husband, 2 children, and I were traveling to Arizona. We rented our car and were on our way to our rental house. On the way the fluid lights kept going off, the car was dirty, and then the tire just exploded while we were on a busy 6 lane highway. We are lucky that we weren’t injured! All of the other tires were bald on the car as well. We then had to sit on the side of the road for over 5 hours, speaking to multiple people who had no idea how to resolve the situation. We finally got a new rental car 24 hours later. And today we got charged an extra $220 for the towing of their car that shouldn’t have even been on the road in the first place! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY HAVE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DON’T CARE IF THEY PUT YOUR FAMILY IN DANGER!

Overall, 👍!The KIA was a nice car that got us through Colorado and back with no problems and good power. I will use the company again.. A little bothersome there was not a checklist of damage already on car offered. Just take pictures with your lot sign in the background when receiving. Also, I was not made aware of the added hold money placed on my credit card at the time of rental after already having prepaid.

Loved the Jeep I rented to attend a drive in music show! I will be back! Did wish they offer a point incentive like Avis for future discounted rentals! I updated my review! See my most recent post and you will see why! This isnt the first time the vehicle is not cleaned at time of pickup from the counter to my house! And Ive emailed you and no response or follow up! So I had to update my review due to lack of follow up! Especially since there is a pandemic still like it or not! So if you rent from Budget make sure to bring your OWN CLEANING PRODUCTS since expect your vehicle to be pretty gross! Hint just wipe the steering wheel and door handles and you will see what I mean! 🤢🤮🤧

We were in dyer situation where our fight to Denver was rerouted to Co Springs. While waiting we were hit with a hail storm. We deboarded the plane and decided to drive to Denver but no other rental company has cars to rent other than Budget. I really appreciate everything they did to help us get out of Co Springs. For the most part everything went fine as the rental process went. The car they gave us on the other hand was disgusting. The interior reeked of cigarettes and the whole inside was wiped down with a dirty rag. Unfortunately, I was in a rush to get to my hotel which was 15 minutes away. So, I took the car and left. Within that time frame my wife started to allergic reactions to the smell. Once to my destination I called budget and was on for about half hour. Someone from India finally told me I could return the car. After stopping off at the drugstore to get allergy medication I was able to return the car. When I handed my keys to the front desk to swap the front desk was very unwelcoming. The guy basically blamed me for the issues we where put through....not happy. Also, I returned the new vehicle a day early and still was charged the full amount. Budget has yet to correct the situation.

We flew into Colorado Springs airport, went to baggage claim then stepped over to Budget to pick up my car and we had pre-registered so she checked my license and boom we had the key and walked out to the car and it is super fast, then we came back that evening, left the car in the stall, dropped the key in the key box outside and went straight to the gates, what a great experience and we had a really nice clean Camary.

My car was ready for me although I arrived an hour early! The agent had obviously been well trained for communicating while wearing a mask. She spoke clearly and slowly and pointed to visual cues to supplement the lack of volume caused by the mask and plexiglass barriers.The Kia Soul performed well when climbing small hills and was zippy to drive around in town.I love the fast break option although in COS, it is rarely needed.

The parking lot was an ice rink. While the people at the rental desk and return are great, their fleet maintenance is not. The first car that I was rented had error messages about the safety sensors not functioning, so I was instructed to return to the terminal, where I was given another car with only 4,000 mi on it, but it made no sounds from the audio system or anything else except for the seat belt notification. As I was driving to California and back from Colorado and going to have the car for a month, I thought it would be better to have something with stereo. I drove back that night and tried a vehicle other than a Mazda, we set out into the ice skating rink again, to find a car that was iced over so badly that we had to wait 20 minutes just for the ice to melt enough to be able to see to drive the car. After driving the car for about 20 minutes I noticed an incessant rattling at the back of the car and returned it to try yet another Mazda CX-5. I was assured that this final Mazda was not the one that I had returned earlier in the day, and I told the person on duty that even if it was I wasnt skating through the parking lot and going back and forth through the terminal yet again and I would just have to make do. I got to the car and to no ones surprise it was the same car with the error messages... But at least the stereo worked. I drove my family to California and back in that vehicle and after a week of being back at home was pulled over by a local sheriff because the car had no red lenses for tail lights instead having white lights as you would find for backup lights. Thankfully he was understanding that it was a rental and didnt ticket me. When returning the car to your lot I was informed that there hasnt been a maintenance tech on site for 3 months. I no longer feel safe or secure driving your fleet of vehicles when I have need of a rental therefore I will go elsewhere and encourage others to do so as well.

Absolutely the rudest people I have ever dealt with. The car was filthy, full of trash and uneaten food. Tire pressures were all over the place. They cant figure out when someone isnt at the kiosk, people put the keys in the drop box when they turn the vehicle in. Guess I could have just left them in the car and it could have been stolen. Good, friendly people are hard to find anymore.

Requested Jeep Wrangler for a week long Colorado trip. Had the best price by far and pickup and return was smooth as could be. Was nervous because of all of the negative reviews but had a really great experience. Would rent from this location again. Vehicle we requested was available upon our arrival and was clean upon pickup.

Very poor customer service. My wife reserve and paid for a van weeks in advance. We understand that if the van wasn’t available will have something comparable to it’s seating and cargo space. The gentleman who’s the supervisor at the CO airport locations was very unhelpful and wasn’t really trying to find a better alternative and basically left us hanging.We were planning on leaving that afternoon and I had to scramble to look for any available van for rent on any of the rental places. Would not recommend this place and definitely will not rely of its management to take care of you when you need it the most.

This is Jason Tucker not my wife........ Well I started off great, My reservation was there and the lady was very nice. They of course did not have my vehicle I reserved but did offer nice alternatives to accommodate me so I wasnt really upset. I could tell she was going threw enough with the guy in front of me, apparently there was a mistake with his reservation and he was not happy... When I told her that I would be bringing the vehicle back early she said it wasnt a problem and I would receive a discount for a early return. I said thank you and took the keys to find the vehicle. Given that it was now dark outside I did find the vehicle and noticed it was parked very close to the SUV beside it, so close they had folded the mirror in so it wouldnt hit the SUV... I got in it and started it pulled it out and went home. When I got home I walked around it and notice damage to the driver and passenger side of the vehicle, almost all of the rear bumper and the passenger seat had a hole burned into it the size of a quarter... So I called and talked to Steve... He was very nice apologetic and took all my notes about the damage and assured me I would not be charged for any of the damages. So I took my trip and had no issues with the vehicle and a safe return. I did return the vehicle early as I told them I would. When I received the bill there were no discounts and several fees added to my bill. all they asked was that I return it with a full tank as I did. Wasnt very happy about the bill at all, and I should have been told about the damage prior to getting the keys. The lady I dropped it off with told me they already knew about it.

If I could put negatives on here I would; stay away!!!! Budget lied saying I returned my vehicle 1.5 hours late. I have geolocation from my cellphone to prove otherwise. Keys were in dropbox prior to return time. Then Budget fraudulently charged my card a $150 late return fee and never reimbursed. Never got a receipt until I called. The only reason I knew I was over charged is because I went to payoff my credit card and saw the charge amount was way over. I sat on hold for over 30 minutes prior to speaking to someone to get the charge reversed and send in my geolocation proof. I was hung up on by the representative. Way to treat members of thr Armed Services!!! I WILL NEVER RENT FROM YOUR HORRIBLE COMPANY AGAIN!

The deal/offer online was a lot better price-wise than talking to someone on the phone. Significantly different. The rental was great. No issues. The return is easy. The only problem I ran into is that after I fully refueled the SUV for return. I was still charged 2 gallons of fuel. Luckily, I took a photo of the fuel guage before I returned it just in case a problem like this would occur. They refunded me the fuel charge

I booked the car online through Priceline (which had the lowest rates). The website indicated that an additional driver was no charge. At the counter it was an additional $20/day for my 38 year old son to also drive the car. This was an unexpected hit to our budget. The vehicle was a Subaru Forrester which was very nice, but the cargo area was dirty and the windshield was smeared on the interior. Budget should disclose all charges on their site.

The ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN TRAVELING@I have used Dollar Car Rental previously & no matter what, they have always taken care of issues given complimentary upgrades when they have underperformed- UT, NOT CAR WITH BUDGET. I had gone through 4 cars, walking back & forth between the counter & the lcars in the lot (far) on a leg with torn meniscus, & damaged knee implant- starting my trip with pain, from s the walking was not even close to appreciated.THEY WERE UNAPOLOGETIC about that ot giving me 3 cars with issues, from hail damage, to soaking wet interiorthat smelled like a shoe closet.The agent was smug, and no desire to help or improve.I would post more on experience, but just got in from long trip & peaceing out- finish this review later- but wanted to save good people from being bad cars & bad

Earlier today I went to pick up a reserved vehicle from a different rental company. Turns out they had no vehicles available. I have used budget in the past so I decided to go to that side and see if they had a vehicle available because I needed it right away! The lady went above and beyond getting me a vehicle quick and we had the best conversation!! She has worked there a very long time and my birthday is the same as her moms 😁 I hope you can see this because I want to thank you so much for making my day!! Car was absolutely filthy. No windshield washer fluid. Smelled like smoke. Could barely see out windows. I doubt that any sanitizing happened. I had to stop and get a car wash, clean the windows inside and out. Customer service at pickup counter was less than desirable. Will definitely choose another car rental company in future.

Regarding the process and employees, everything went well with my rental at the Colorado Springs airport. Employees were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that my rental was dirty on both the outside and inside. No floor mats. No washer fluid (which I needed) and the right wiper blade needs to be replaced as it just smeared everything when used. There is no reason the rentals cant be washed and cleaned on the inside. All fluids need to be checked upon return.

I had a flight that was supposed to get in at 2030. I had the rental car scheduled for 2100. My flight was delayed and I didnt get in until 2315. I got to the rental desk at 2330. They were supposed to be open until midnight. However, there was no one around. I had to get an uber and a return uber in the morning to pick up the rental car, costing more than 2 days worth of the rental.

Overall experience was good. The pickup/drop off was fast and efficient. The counter leasing agent was friendly and most helpful navagating us from airport terminal. The best part was the minimal upgrade fee charged to put us into a comfy SUV verses the modest mid size we inital rented due to the current rental prices being so much higher since COVID impact.

Rented a car that didn’t even make it 3 miles before breaking down. They said it could be 8 hours before the tow truck could be there. Me and my 2 small children Walked a mile in the cold to a location where I could Uber back to the airport.I was promised they would reimburse me for the Uber cost that never happened.Then I was told I had to wait for them to pick up the broke down car before giving me a new one.When dropping the 2nd car off They didn’t check the car in for five days so I got charged about $1000 for a car that broke downTried to give them an opportunity to earn my business back but they were not interested they shouldn’t even get one star

Never ever ever use this company. Pay the extra for Enterprise. I am being charged for multiple things. I filled the tank up before arriving yet the next day I get charged 90 dollars for gas refill. Lucky, I took a picture of a full tank with the date and time. I got my money back. Then a full month later I get charged 398 dollars for tire damage. That I luckily have picture of before an after to prove them wrong yet againNever ever ever ever use this company.

Don’t rent from budget. They rented us a car that had been smoked in and it still smelled so bad, and needed major engine maintenance-shook like it had been in an accident. When we exchanged it, we got one with bald tires. Their cars are not safe to drive, and we had a really difficult time getting in touch with anyone that could help us.

The service was fast and friendly. And so was return. 2 problems though. Found out that we were not given AARP discount because we rented through Expedia. (That was the very reason we chose Budget) AND no snow scraper in car, and we had 8 inches of snow while using the car. Had to remove snow with our bare hands...no gloves.

Garbage company . robbed my 250 deposit . Called them and they said they refunded the deposit but I never received it . Mind you I returned the vehicle on the 26th of April and it is now may 10 with no refund. Shady business and dirty cars . I didnt even receive the car I wanted . The one we got smelled horrible and was dirty. This is no myth, you can see what the other reviews have to say about this location. Id give it zero stars if that was possible.

They check in process was easy, and when returning car it was even easier. There was a good selection of cars in the different classes of cars. They ensure that your car has an ice scraper in it during the winter months.

I was in town for a week and rented a car through budget. They had great customer service and the prices where the best that I could find. In that aspect I would give them 5 stars. The reason that I am only giving it three stars is that the car was fairly dirty on the inside. The windows needed to be cleaned and there was dirt on the back seats.

We had a tire blow out 20 miles from Raton and was unable to get a tow to the closest (which was either Albuquerque or Colorado Springs) Budget roadside. I had to pay almost $200 in over fees from my insurance to get it back to the Colorado Springs Airport. I have been getting the run around about being compensated for the towing overages and was also told I needed to pay for the extra time it took to get the rental back to the airport because of said faulty tire. Your customer service was unacceptable and abysmal regarding this whole situation starting from the faulty tire at pick up.

I see they dont respond to their reviews, but maybe I can help someone! I left my $200 earbuds, called them as soon as I realized, they said the car hadnt went to cleaning yet but they werent in there, they definitely were. I asked if I could reserve a car with my credit card and pay with my company card, they did yes, swiped my company card, I go a month later and they still charged my credit card and I almost had a late payment. I called and asked for a receipt for company records, they told me to call Omaha where I rented the car, even though they told me at the airport location here I could get a receipt. Everytime I am put in touch with a manager they say thanks for the info but nothing we can do. Budget might be good, but the COS location is not. Avoid if possible.
