I’m sorry I can’t remember your names!There were 4 of us who came in for some ski gear. I thought it was going to be a quick, grab and go situation however I was wrong haha. The woman who was working provided excellent advice for a first timer, and she tried her absolute best at finding the right boot for me. I ended up trying on 3 different boots before I found the perfect fit and they took a long time to get on and off. She was very patient and kind the entire time even though they were about to be closing.The other employee stepped in to help her since there were more people in my group who needed assistance to make it go faster. He was very nice and gave advice as well. They provided all the equipment we needed to rent - including boots, skis, poles, helmets, goggles, coats, and pants for all 4 of us! Not to mention at an Incredible price compared to other rental spots in Colorado. I highly recommend this place for all your skiing/snowboarding needs.

I was very sad to hear of Stan Wolfs passing when I rented gear last week. What a guy, and what a great shop he ran. I’ve been renting ski equipment here for years because of the unbeatable prices, the amazing staff, and Stans crotchety, yet warm and personal touch. He had the demeanor of J. Jonah Jameson, but the heart of Uncle Ben Parker. Rest In Peace, Stan the man. Thank you to the crew at Colorado Kite & Ski for all youve done and all you do. Thinking of you guys in these tough times.

The staff is very knowledgeable about everything they have in the store. They are very friendly and will help find the right products. Prices are fair and the kites we bought work great! We will be back for more kites soon.

Andy was so polite and professional. Very pleased with the service I received having a hot wax and sharpening on my snowboard. Price was very reasonable as well. I checked with the shop closer to home in Woodland Park and the cost was almost double. Would highly recommend Colorado kite and ski. Theres a reason why theyve been in business for decades!

Maybe you dont get the most fancy skis, but the rental prices were unreal, and the staff was super helpful. Skied two full days with no issues.

My fiance and I rented skis, poles and boots for two days. Neither of us had either skied before and the manager was very informative. We picked them up the night before and brought them back the day after we finished skiing. We had a hard time getting the boots to he comfortable, but we also had never done it before. We would definitely rent here again the next time we ski . We skied at Monarch.

We struck out with mountain bike rentals the whole week and gave him a call and he helped us out right away. He was a fraction of the cost of everyone else, better location, even better customer service. If you are in Colorado Springs, this is the only place you should rent a bike from! Amazing guy! On vacation with the family and we bought our gear and tickets from him! Couldn’t make it because weather conditions and he gave us our money back for tickets with return of them and for whenever we come back free rental for what we had got amazing I love this and the way he runs his business!!

The owner is very eccentric, but in a good way. hell help you out with anything you need, and while youre waiting, hell give you something to do. There is a dog roaming around the place looking for pets, so thats pretty great. The only complaint I have is that this place is a bit cramped, theres not a lot of room to move around.

As far as I can tell this will be the cheapest ski rental you can find anywhere. Staff is super chill and helpful and the owner is kind and honest. Last time I rented here I got a killer pair of skis. I love this shop, support local and come get your gear here!

This place has the best customer service. You can get your rentals with ease, Especially If you have a larger group call ahead and they will accommodate your requests. The owner is very friendly.

First off I just want to say this is the best rental place in town. The staff is professional and nice it was a great experience dealing with them. My board and boots worked perfectly. Got a helmet as well it worked well thankfully didnt test it out. But overall great experience will be returning if ever in need of another rental!! I mean I spent $17.50 for a day.

After reading some reviews I decided to rent our snowboard gear from Colorado kite and ski to take with us to the mountain. Their business is in a small house. Make sure you look at the picture of the front of it before you go or you will pass it up. When we walked in we were greeted immediately even though they were busy with other customers. Caitlyn(spelling?) was wonderful and answered all of our questions about our gear and explained everything in detail in regards to pricing. The pricing was very reasonable and the gear was almost new. I would definitely rent from them again.

Really enjoyed getting my rentals from Colorado Kite & Ski. The owner is a hoot, very interesting fellow with lots of character. Its obvious he knows his stuff when it comes to skiing and boarding! Getting fitted was fun, and we had our equipment very quickly. We were travelling further west to do the skiing, and he opted not to charge us for the days we would simply be travelling with his equipment in tow! What a deal, I paid less to have a set of ski and snowboard equipment from his shop for a full week than I would have paid to get the same for two days, tops, at the ski resort.Definitely give Colorado Kite & Ski a try!

Great place to rent equipment for cheap. I rented for one day on Sunday and owner told me I could return equipment by Tuesday morning. Nobody can beat that!!!

Are they the best ski shop in town? No. Not by a long shot, but they are ok if youre looking for the cheapest option for ski rental gear. Youll get newer, higher end, better maintained equipment from places like Epic Mountain Gear, Christy Sports, or The Ski Shop. Just had a friend new to skiing rent from here and she ended up with boots way too tight even on the loosest setting. As a plus, they do tend to have season rentals available for later than the other shops. I own my own equipment now, so I know a little more about equipment maintenance than I did went renting from here. The fresh waxes I got on my season rental equipment at this shop left the board very dry (probably comparable to 10 days of skiing after a good hand wax). If you can afford to go elsewhere, I think its well worth it. However, if you cant this is a great place to start.
