$750 for TruGreen to take care of my lawn this year and this is what it looks like. Interestingly enough this is what it looked like last year and the main reason I contacted them. No one talks to me about how to make it look better. No one tells me what’s wrong with it. Contactless service is probably not the best idea for a service that actually depends on contact with the customer. I also called to cancel my remaining service since it’s clearly a waste of money and they promised someone would come out to talk to me. Never happened. Will never ever use them again and will make sure to tell everyone I know that they did nothing to help me figure out how to make my lawn pretty again. All for the low price of $750.
I’m a skeptic turned believer. I have used the Scott’s 4 Step program for 2 seasons up until this year. I just couldn’t get it to tame an out of control clover issue. Clover was taking over large portions of my backyard. I saw an ad for a half-priced weed control treatment this Summer, and even though I’m really skeptical about products promising dramatic change, TruGreen turned me into a believer. After one treatment I started noticing the clover dying off, after 3 treatments I’m having a hard time finding any clover in my yard. Pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of this product. I’m sold for sure.
SEEK BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! Save your money. Came out to do tree service and I was home this time. I was able to actually see what I was paying for. Service tech showed up spent all of about three minutes did a quarter of my tree service. When I called the complaint line I got more lip service, and talked over. They tried to talk there way out of what they should be doing. Never showed back up to do the job right. Really a let down with the amount of money I am spending.
I signed up for this service a month ago to get the grass in my backyard green again. The “specialist” that was suppose to come out couldn’t find my address and just cancelled the scheduled request, even though I have my preferred contact number in their system for them to call me. I’ve had to sit through hours worth of their automated calls to speak with some to correct this issue and have scheduled four times (so far) and each time the representative that I speak to has told me that if they get lost again that they will call me, which instead of a call I just receive a notification that the technician has cancelled yet again. Horrible service.
Ive never had good service. As soon as my service agreement is done Im never calling them back. They dont ever actually kill the weeds and they outsourced their customer service overseas. Nah.
Happy with the lawn care and customer service. Spoke on the phone with Loretta today in customer service and she took care of our billing issue and also delivered a level of warmth and friendly professionalism that is rare to find in phone customer service.
Dont pay in advance and then request a refund..... a month now and still waiting. the bank had to get the faurd department involved. not slander just facts about my experience.
Watching on my cameras on 8/13/21 the Tru Green technician walked in put his gloves on and never sprayed any of the trees. Tru Green was called as My Fiancé explained that our cameras showed they didn’t not spray and only was at the house for 15 minutes that included writing the Bill that were charged for a fake service. Tru Green said they would come back on Tuesday 8/17/21. Today they came back 8/17/21 I left work which take me 5 minutes to get to my house from work. When I arrived at my house Tru Green had already left my fiancé again watched on the cameras only to be disappointed again that the Tru green technician did not complete the job we agreed on by spraying the trees and bushes. We cancelled services immediately which took over 30 minutes as they continued to try to offer more services we will be looking for a local honest service and thank goodness for cameras because even if we could not be at the house for services we can watch that they are not actually doing the service that was requested. Be careful when using this company for services not being done and being charged for it.
Worst communication ever. Days have gone by with promised call backs within 15 minutes and they never happen. You cannot even call the local shops as all calls route to the national non-customer service help call center, that dont answer their phones after hours on hold, and dont call you back either.I keep getting texts from TruGreen telling me about service coming out the next day, but its for services that I dont have with them! I cant call them to get it straightened out either because (see paragraph 1).For my last service (which was pre-paid), I got billed to my credit card anyways. After sending an e-mail to TruGreen (the ONLY way to communicate with someone), they said an additional service was added on at the time, and that was why I was billed. I NEVER authorized an additional service and wouldnt have agreed to pay for it either! Yet after several days of waiting, still no more responses from TruGreen about that anymore, and no refund.I have a pre-paid service for killing the ground completely (rock drive way) thats supposed to start again tomorrow, yet now the system is telling me my Tree Service is starting tomorrow. Yet again - impossible to reach anyone to address this problem!!!The heck with TruGreen. I am beyond done with them. Im thinking suing is the only way to get my money back at this point since they refuse to ever talk to a customer anymore.
I called and spoke to a nice man who said someone would be out in 2-3 days and a week later no one came out. Called and was told the next week someone would come out and again no one. Called again and a nice lady apologized and discounted my rates and promised to get someone out this week. NO ONE came out so Thursday I called and they said Friday they will come out. I called about 10a this morning and was told they were coming today. It is now 645pm and NO ONE has called, messaged, texted, or shown up. I will have to go somewhere else. Waisted a lot of time with this company as they make promises they don’t keep.
The product is good. However, the customer service is terrible! It is impossible to get ahold of anyone with this large business. Sometimes the hold time is nearly 2 hours long. I have even requested that my call be returned, only to never hear from the company. I find it funny that if you have an account online, they dont allow you to cancel your service online but allow you to add services, etc. They make it IMPOSSIBLE to change, reschedule, or cancel a service. In my opinion, there are other great local lawn-care businesses that care about your experience that are worth your time. – Trugreen is NOT one of them.
Just canceled my service. Paid to have them treat my rocks so weeds DONT GROW IN THE FIRST PLACE! All they do is walk around and spray the few baby weeds that are there at the time of service. There are no weeds then because I am constantly picking them every week when I mow the lawn. USELESS!
They are better than Lawn doctor. At least in my experience
I had my law aeration done by them with what was supposed to be seeding of my back yard. I was charged $133 for what I assumed was both only to find out that’s only for aeration. This place is way to expensive. Other landscaping/ lawn service companies in my area do aerations for a third of the price. I have learned my lesson and will not use this company anymore.
No soliciting means no soliciting. Don’t lie and say you’re there servicing the neighbor when I literally saw a different company 2 days ago doing work next door.
Its hard to talk to anyone at all. You have to go on their web site to complain, before someone will call you back. Ill find out at the end of this year, what their applications will do.
Do not waste your money! I hired TruGreen thinking it would save me time with fertilizing my lawn. Our lawn looked terrible all summer. Greenish-yellow and when I called the company, the rep stated it was due to the heat. My neighbors lawns looked very green and they dont use a professional lawn company. I fertilized our lawn 4 days ago and its already looking green, the best its looked all summer.
Stop wasting money trying to do it yourself, truegreen is still cheaper then all the other stuff I tried before

I never leave bad reviews but this one needs to be done. I hired this company for three separate sprinkler blow outs. They were confirmed two days prior and then no one showed up. I was never altered by the company and have three homeowners who are unhappy they do not have winterized sprinklers. When I called to ask what happened they said no one was home when they showed up (one of these addresses is an office that is open 8-5) which is untrue. The other property had instructions to access through the rear gate and confirmed that the dogs were put up. Use a different blow out service.
Do not trust this company!!!!! We are retired and having a harder time taking care of our large yard. Michael came by the neighbor hood trying to get customers. I have seen this company in the neighbor hood before and I know they have been around several years, So we decided to go with them and Michael was very nice we wanted to help him by signing up for their special. After more than a month we finally got a call that they were going to come out and we didnt need to be home,they would leave a card on the front door to let us know they were here. We have been home most of the time with the stay at home order for the virus. We never saw them or found a card letting us know that they were here and what they had done. We gave them several days to come and no show!!! We called the office and they told us their guy did come out. We told them there was no sign that they had been here and we were home watching for them . Then they told us the guy had went to the wrong house. They then set us up to come out four days later. We didnt trust that they would be out,but gave them another chance .We stayed home all day watching, listening and waiting to make sure we didnt miss them . We were even in the front yard painting our fence and also in the back all morning. They did not come at all!!! We call the next morning and the lady said well they were there at 8:30 Am . Maybe we just didnt see them. There was no way we would not have seen them. It would have also taken them a while to do our big yard. So they said they could come out the next day. We told them we were done with them and want to cancel our service. We are suppose to get a refund . We will see. They need to get rid of the guy that keeps telling them he was here. There was no sign anything had been done and we were here all the time and would not have missed him. We will never tell anyone to use this company. We will do our yard ourselves or have family help us. I would give them a -0 if I could !!!!!
Payed over $500 for lawn and irrigation services, zero communication from anyone!!! Sales person gladly took my $ never followed up... called to ask questions, was put on hold 5 times... never a call back!! Supervisor was requested and no response. BBB will be contacted.
I like the text messages I receive when the service is going to be provided. The Technicians Cole B & Zayn S were very friendly and sprayed all the areas as per the contract.
Had True Green lawn care for a one year and they did their services to the lawn as required. They reason for the negative review is that I called to cancel my service because I found a local company that does the lawn mowing too, the use all electric equipment and all organic processes for lawn and landscape. True Green pushed me to 3 different agents to cancel my service. Very rude! Just accept the fact that someone does it better than you and offers a more comprehensive approach.
I did not go looking for True Green. They knocked on my door one week after moving in. I have a very smal yard that was in pretty good shape but I also live in Colorado Springs and have sprinkler system for my first time. Watch the pop up sprinklers I could easily tell that they did not pop up high enough. So when the True Green rep dropped by I said why not. I was told by Colin that they have a new resident special. I was quoted a price. Some for the yard work and $149 for the sprinkler system which included repair service, winter blow out and a spring/summer open service. So we had the yard done three times. No issues other that I never knew they were coming ahead of time and would just get a bill on the app. Then we had one below freezing day. So I Called to see when the repair and blowout would happen. They said it was scheduled. They 2 weeks later Colin calls me again asking me if I wanted the new special for $89 to do all of the above. I asked what’s the catch he said none. Just a good paying customer discount and for me being patient.they schedule for today. I looked on app and saw it was a no show. I called the lady the. Was really nice and said it was scheduled for tomorrow. I asked about the price and now she tells me $149 for all the above service. And hour later and her lady calls me and tells me because their person left it’s 3x 89 for each visit. It was a high of 32 f all day and as low as 19. And that the norm for the next 4 days. So I ask when are they coming. They say tomorrow. I remind them of the price. And the repair because by then most likely it’s all frozen. They tell me they lost their person and now it’s going to cost me 3x $89. Whoa. I checked and all my pipes are frozen hope nothing blows up. I want everyone to know True Green has no integrity, and is not dependable. A big rip off. Do not do True Green Colorado Springs

We received numerous text messages and emails about upcoming device dates/times with none of them consistent or reliable. We were told to expect someone between 7 and 12, then precisely between 9:45 and 10:30, then again at an imprecise time, then nobody showed up at 12, 12:30, 12:45 despite repeated texts to management.Canceled credit card payments and service. Shop local. ALL the bad reviews are accurate.

You sign up for this deal through corporate, they push it down to the local person and they:1) dont notify you accurately on when they will be there.2) show up, decide they cannot complete due to lightning (understandable), and promise they will be back first thing in the morning. They dont show, AND they marked the service as complete.3) local office lets their number default to corporate, so every time you call, you get a different person.We are in the midst of filing a BBB complaint, but guess what, they are NOT affiliate with BBB--makes you wonder why......
Scheduled services well in advance. They gave me a 5 hour window. I kept my dog inside all day! They didn’t show or bother to call. I pre-paid for a full season of services. Asking for a full refund to go with a reputable company. Do not waste your time or money on this company.
They just ran through the yard carelessly spraying the pesticides all over my daughters playground and was gone in like less than 5min!
Requested service 8 days ago. Was told 3 days, then 2 days, then no more than one week. Still no service or a call or the promised email to set up the date/time. I asked about the free visits that was posted on their website and they said the marketing folks messed up. They took that advertisement down but I still have a snapshot of it and and also shows a free visit on google I saw today, took a snapshot of that too...guaranteed they’ll blame someone else. Still no service yet they created me an account and took my card # for payment. I see now why the terrible reviews.

THEY DONT SHOW UP!!!They scheduled to visit my house between 7am and noon and that I had to be present so they could access my sprinkler box. I stayed home from work so I could get my sprinklers fixed and then Id go to work a little late. They didnt show up so at 12:30PM I called and they assured me he was still coming but running late. At 3:30 I called again and they told me he was still coming. At 4:30 I called again because I had to leave to go pick up my kid from school. The assured me again that he was coming and they would tell him to call me. They didnt show up at all, and I never got a call, and when I checked online they had cancelled my appointment. They didnt even call to let me know. I called the next morning and they said they could reschedule but there wasnt another opening for a few weeks.I lost an entire days worth of pay, waiting for these guys and they couldnt even bother to let me know what was going on.AWFUL company. Dont use them.

They will then (after not returning phone calls to you) they will give different stories to tell you what happened. The last one is that they blamed John who came out to take care of the lawn. I wish I could rate JOHN all on his own. He would get 5 stars, since thats the highest I can give. He is the ONLY reason I was with true green. (So obviously it was not him!) Sales team doesnt do what they say and customer service doesnt have the right services for the right customer know what customer service is. Im glad John knows what hes doing!!! THANK YOU JOHN FOR ALL YOU DO!!!!
Its been a month since our first treatment and I can say that it truly helped thicken and green up our lawn. We had a few trouble spots ( we have 4 dogs), and they are filling in nicely even without reseeding. Would recommend TruGreen highly!
If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Signed up for service. Needed first service on a specific date, got scheduled for a different date twice. Now waiting for my 1000$ back fired before they even showed up, might not be this specific location but its the tru green company, dont use them no matter how good their field technicians are, as a corporation they are no good
Got their weed and lawn care service and kept it for a few months. The weeds were handled but i was told rocks and a area blocked off by brick would be another charge. decided id handle that area myself. then no lawn change in backyard at all. spots in front never got any better and i never got any info or talks about my yards progress or plan. But they gave me calls about up selling everything and anything. maybe if they focused on keep customers happy instead of asking them to get more service, they might be good.
TruGreen was a true disappointment. Ive used them before for lawn care and our lawn looked just okay. This time I decided I would give them a chance to repair our sprinklers. I pre-paid for the service (big mistake) and scheduled a visit. On the day that they were supposed to arrive, between the hours of 12 to 5, no one showed up or called. I called at 5:30 PM and the Support Center said that they were busy and probably still on their way. When I called again at 7:30 PM, I was told that if it gets dark then they wont come. So again, I waited and no one showed up or called. The next day, I stayed home again. Surely they would come since they didnt make it the day before. Right? When I called the Support Center, I was told they were not going to come out and it would be two weeks before they could get there. Seriously? At this point I told them that I no longer wanted their service and wanted a refund. As a special treat, I was told it would take ten business days before the refund would appear in our account. Never again. If you are looking for sprinkler repair or services, look locally.
Trugreen has worked so well for our lawn. It wasn’t too bad to begin with but those darn stubborn dandelions were popping up faster than we could treat or pull them. They took care of the weeds and bonus, our lawn is the most lovely shade of green and I get compliments all the time.

I dont remember a single time they actually came when scheduled, they always reschedule and then after calling them three times per deal they still hardly show. DO not waste your money like I did!!
My lawn has never looked better since I started with TruGreen. I live in the country and with fields next to our property, its hard to make the lawn look perfect. But its far better than any in the surrounding area thanks to your service.
TruGreen should not be spraying nitrogen and herbicides when it is windy. It has been well documented that fertilizer runoff and herbicide exposure is toxic to insects, fish and amphibians, AND PEOPLE. I asked the TruGreen employee to wait until the wind died down. He laughed at me and told me he needed to do his job. This company seems only interested in profit, not sustainability or respect for human health.
We were a loyal TruGreen customer for many yeas in other states, unfortunately the service quality here is nothing like we have had in the past. Their inability to manage basic weed control as well as even color caused me to cancel my 1st year service contract and request a refund on my unused services.
No Follow Through - Got the Run Around and no one was willing to take ownership: Called for Sprinkler Service, was told one time, no call no show, was given another time 3 different times/days same thing - still dont have an appointment, still dont have anything repaired and now I have to start the process all over with another company. I called two weeks ago to have someone come and turn on sprinkler system. I was told it would take 3-5 days for a callback to schedule. I never had a callback. Today I get a text saying tech is at my home, unable to do the service. Please hire competent people to answer the phone and schedule services. Worst customer service.
Horrible company, They tell you that they can fix your grass with there team, i did everything and still had to pull the grass out and re install new grass, then I cancelled service and they will not stop calling worse then a telemarketer
The appearance of my yard always looks great. When Ive had the chance to speak to my specialist he has been knowledgeable and friendly. Truegreen always lets me know when they are coming so I can plan accordingly. I get what I pay for.
TruGreen Specialist, Duane Fehd, has been and still is the BEST TruGreen Specialist for both Lawn & Landscape, bar none !!!!!He takes his job very seriously. He is very knowledgeable and freely shares it when asked. Professional but very friendly. He wants to keep my yard and landscape as perfect as possible. 5 Stars rating
One of the worst companies I have dealt with. Their salesmen promised that they would get rid of my weeds. Attached is a 5 gallon bucket almost filled to the top of weeds while my lawn had been under their care for a year. I didnt even finish weeding my entire yard. A week later I pulled out almost as many weeds. $600 spent and they cant even keep their promise. I call in and complain about weeds they say it takes 10 days for the treatment to work. Wait 10 days there are still weeds in the yard, you call back and then it takes 2 weeks to get someone to come back. That is right about the time you have to pay for another service. Then when they aerated my yard they caused $100 in damage to my sprinkler system. Of course you dont know this until the next spring when you turn your sprinklers on again. By that time you arent sure what caused the problems.They use high pressure sales to suck you into their service and dont even deliver what they promise.
Was quoted a price for two specific services for the end of 2019. Had also cancelled the auto-pay option, but come to find out, the auto-pay was not cancelled and a service was provided with a text notification right before the application, and it was one that was not even requested. Was then told that the unwanted application was 60 dollars. The service was for an 84 year old mans lawn with health conditions (which Ive heard this happening a lot with this company, even from previous employees). Absolutely ridiculous, and you dont even provide a local phone number, so I spoke with a person in Salt Lake City UTAH and was only able to cut the cost of the unwanted service in half. This is on you guys, and you have lost a customer. Taking advantage of people is pretty shady, especially the elderly.
Dont answer the phone! These guys are a big time scam. They will harass you. I showed a little interest and they ended up showing up at my house and put warning flags in my front yard and a sorry we miss you... Tag. Then sent me a bill... I never signed to authorize service, they came out and sprayed chemicals all over my lawn where my kids play... without my permission.Took me months to get my yard back... its like they poisoned my yard so it would be worse and need them in the future. Then theyve been calling me for over a year and STILL sending me bills even after talking with a manager about this.Hey truegreen - Get the f#¢✓ off my lawn and go burn in hell. Youre poisoning the places where kids play without homeowners even signing off. They never even knocked.. just sprayed my yard and put a door hanger. I know because I have a camera and my wife was home.Sales people are still calling me to this day.Still thinking of using these guys? Just search trugreen BBB in Google. I also suggest researching the chemicals they use, many of which are banned in other countriesLike I said, dont even pick up the phone. SCAM!!
We will not use TruGreen again. In the spring we called them because we were having a big problem with goat head stickers and weeds in our yard. They came out and did a couple of pre emergent treatments. The treatment literally did no good. A few months later a representative came to the house and told me he was here to do a follow up. After I explained to him what happened he told me that they discontinued that service a few months back because it was not getting results and did not know why they would do that service and not say anything. He then proceeds to tell me about all their specials and services promising me the same things as before. I told him we would be in touch if interested. The representative blew up my phone with calls for probably a couple of months. I finally told him we went with someone else just so he would stop calling. He then starts asking me what we were paying the other company and could the company offer everything that TruGreen offers. He kind of got a little attitude like clearly he was bothered we did not contact him. That definitely sealed the deal for us to never use them again. They are very pushy and make it clear they are just trying to make a sale.
Worst company. I stayed home for a sprinkler tech. No one called or showed up. They charged my credit card but didnt show up like scheduled. I was told I would get a phone call within 48hours. All I received was a message for aeration. Which is not what I scheduled. They lack communication within their own offices. They have been here in the past several times and my lawn is still brown with weeds. What a dissatisfaction. Small claims is my next recourse of action.
I have never had a problem with tru-green. Our guy is reliable and very friendly. Tru green customer care also goes far and beyond to provide you with 100% satisfaction. Thank you tru green. Pricing could be a bit much but you pay for what you get
Very disappointed in this company. Unqualified technicians who are only interested in up-selling customers on new products. Had one technician tell me that I had mites in my lawn and they had a treatment available, then the next technician came and said I dont have mites. Glad I didnt pay for the extra service, especially since their treatments are very expensive. Tried several times to get in touch with manager of local branch, but customer service wont connect you directly to local office. Company put new seed on my lawn which was not compatible with my existing lawn without asking me, now my lawn looks like several different breeds and horrible. Technician told me the only way to fix it was to kill everything and start over. Requested general manager to call me, which resulted in a visit to my house while I was at work and a note that the manager didnt see anything wrong, but he wouldnt call me as requested. Very disappointed in this company and highly encourage anyone looking for lawn treatment service to look elsewhere. I will never do business with this company again.
I contacted this company, was quoted and paid for lawn and sprinkler service. Then heard nothing for 2 weeks, was given the run around and nothing happened. Then I heard from some rando who said he worked for the company and had all my information but no record of the service I scheduled and paid for. He told me that everything I had been told was wrong and then charged me again for what I already for. Needless to say I cancelled everything and demanded my money back. Best case scenario, these people are incompetent. Worst case : SCAM. Do not hire these people.

I love everything about the service itself. The only thing is the price. Trugreen is expensive compared to other options I have looked at but the service is generally very good.
Had Tru-Green spray my lawn for weeds. The guy they sent by was inexperienced. He destroyed my lawn. So when I reported it to Tru-Green, they came and re-sprayed my lawn for free. It took all of summer to restore my lawn. Thats not the problem. The guy who regularly sprays my lawn, goes to my neighbor, and called me a jerk for complaining about their mistake. I have tried to call someone to complain. But to no avail. I will contact corporate about the employee. You should be warned, if you have a mistake done to your property, it will most likely fall on deaf ears. Do not trust these people!!
I was contacted by a door-to-door rep two years ago. My lawn looked terrible (lots of weeds and bare spots), but he said if I gave them 18 months theyd have it looking like the fairway at Augusta. Sounded good to me, so I thought Id try their service.Now after having TruGreen service for two years, my lawn does NOT look like the fairway at Augusta, and it actually looks worse than it did two years ago.They did treat my yard as agreed. And when I complained a few times that the service wasnt doing any good, they came out and did extra treatments at no charge. So I cant say they didnt show up and do the work. The problem is, the work they did accomplished nothing.Bottom line, this was a complete waste of money. I paid for two years of service, and have absolutely nothing to show for it.
This is the worst lawn care service I have ever had! When it started out the sales rep would call me every 5 minutes to haggle the price with me until I finally decided to give it a shot. The first service was perfect...within a few weeks I noticed a huge improvement! So I was very pleased. After the second treatment they over fertilized and scorched my entire yard! Now no one will answer my call (they were all over my phone calls when they were trying to sell me the service). Took a week to have someone back to my house to fix it. All they did was spray nitrogen and they told me it should start to get better in a few weeks. It only took them 2 months to utterly destroy my yard. Now I will have to dig up the burn spots and re sod my yard again, and spend even more money.

I had really nice grass, i hired them to help and they killed my grass. I would give this company a 0 star review but unfortunately i cant. Now Im forced to work even harder on my yard then i wad previously. And Ever since i cancelled they tru calling me all the time wanting me to sign back up. When i told them my grad was dyeing and needed to have seed laid, they told me that would cost extra. My yard in no way needed to reseed before i hired them. Crooks
Called them numerous times on my tree. No response. Calls go through a call center in Utah. You dont talk to local people on the phone. Had to drive to their office to get service. Sad. They used to be real good. Update: when by address in phone book, its now atlas charter school. Are they out of business?
Last year I had nice grass there were a few dead spots. The trugreen sale person told me all I had to do is buy their services and they would fix it and the yard would look 100x better. Well the grass came up this year in the front and the back yard, and it looks like someone burned it. Dead spots everywhere. The back yard looks so bad I am going to have to put sod down to fix it. I will never use this service again. Very disappointed, especially because I am planning on selling this house. Now I cant sell it until I fix the yard.
Very bad customer experience. I signed up last year and there, there was a lot of confusion between the field and office on the services I ordered. Jackson C is great and he is currently doing week control. Another issue is that I wanted my rocks sprayed with weed control. I called customer service line and Im still waiting for a call. Not to mention that someone else called to try to upsell me, but was no help and told me that he sant a memo out for some one to call me. No one has called to this day. Im wondering if I should into another company to get my rocks sprayed with week control....very frustrated as I watch my weeds grow and dont have time to pull them....
I have the greenist and most weed free lawn on my block. My neighbors all agree. Ive recommended your services to most of my neighbors. I guess thats why I see your trucks in my neighborhood.
Had a very poor experience with the Colorado branch. They never showed up for their scheduled appointment. After reaching the customer care center they informed me they left messages with the springs manager to contact me, but never did. Finally received a refund. Very poor business practices from the springs branch.
I am very pleased with the work TruGreen performs. My lawn always responds nicely to the work they perform.
So, I usually dont get into the whole rating thing. But my experience with TruGreen has by far been the worse experience Ive ever had and I just couldnt stand to not let it be known. First of all, I call in to get my lawn aerated and they denied me service due to the time of year. Well I say Im willing to take that chance that its not the right time and pay to have lawn aerated and they deny. After a long dispute about it the lady says Ill have our service department call you back and let them decide if they would be willing to aerate. She said you may not hear from them today but by tomorrow. Well _NO_ call! I called back, spoke to someone different. At first he was like I dont know who you told you we cant aerate your lawn but we can do that. Then when I went to schedule a time it was nevermind we cant do that at this time of year. So, Im just like forget it Im done trying to get TruGreen to aerate my lawn. The very next day I see a TruGreen truck pulling nothing but an aerator on trailer. So, I call back and explain everything Ive dealt with. Tell the lady look there is no way that the technician would be driving around pulling an aerator for NO purpose, especially with the way gas prices are. She responds your right and I dont know why someone said that we couldnt aerate but we diffinetly can. She then tells me Im going to have to send this over to my supervisor and have them call you back to schedule an appointment. _NO_ call! Again waited two days and _NO_ call. So I call back and explain everything to someone different again and He was like we can do that. And upon actually going to schedule this time he gave me a Quote of $199.00 like WOW after all Ive dealt with and thats what it cost. I tell him that is highway robbery, Ive seen ads from other companies starting at like $50.00. After debating for like an hour on the phone over the expense and how over priced that is He finally hung up on me. Literally hung up because I wouldnt give him the okay to schedule appointment. TruGreen is over priced and by far the worse customer service I have had to deal with.
They arrive on schedule, communicate with the customer upon arrival, complete their task in an efficient manner. Always available to answer any question you may have, and are very knowledgeable.
The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the courteous employees at main office when you call the 800 number. I was lied to by the sales manager who came to my door about pricing. When i asked to see a brochure with prices, I was told there is not one. I pre-paid $485 for the year for over seeding and fertilization. I also chose to go with another service of theirs which is de-weeding both yards. The sales manager at my door sold me a years worth of de-weeding for $260 and they will come back every 6 weeks for another application for a year. It turns out when I got my contract a couple days later that the pricing didnt match up. Its actually $65 every 6 weeks. Not $20 like the sales manager said. Those door to door guys are commision based and will lie through their teeth to make some extra money. I called the main office and asked to speak to a manager. There is never one on duty so they pass it up the chain and tell you that you will receive a phone call from a manager. 3 weeks later have not received a call back yet after 5 phone calls to Trugreen. Cancelled service and hired a small local company called Integrated Lawn Care. I will never again hire Trugreen for anything, nor will I recommend it to anyone. I will also be letting my neighbors who signed up for the service know about this. Props to the customer service reps when you call the 800 number though. If only your sales reps could be so kind and honest.
We have Contract with Trugreen for Weed Control. We have been billed twice for May & June, but the weeds continue to thrive with no sign of dying. Leads me to believe they were not sprayed at all. Have called 3 times and assured that they would respray...to date I have heard nothing nor has there been any respray. Cannot reach the Commercial Reps by phone no one answers.
Effective results (tree service)... Reliable service (reminder call the night before and truck shows up every time as indicated)... Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable service techs... Easy to get hold of customer service... The fact that you will come back between regular appts for problems that crop up (e.g., outbreak of aphids)... Reasonable price. Thanks.
They Are Terrible !!! Scam the whole franchise uses chemicals that saposably gives you a great lawn. They killed mine not worth sueing but hopefully you dont waste your money.
If there was a zero rating thats what I would give. I scheduled them to come out and treat our lawn and to get our sprinkler system set up. They didnt call us when they were coming out to treat our lawn. Then they charged us incorrectly. I had to call 4 times and it took a month to get it fixed. On the day they had scheduled to get our sprinkler system up and running they DIDNT SHOW UP! When I called it took 20 minutes to get through the automated call service. They apologized and did nothing to fix it. Id recommend using ANYONE else!
I give them one star. The one star is for the very kind operator I spoke to about the sham of lawn service we received. The technician came to our back yard with a spreader. He did one swipe with it. I thought he ran out of product so I waited to watch him come back with more product in the spreader. He came back with a hose and moved his arm back and forth like he was putting down an application but nothing was coming out. I came around to the front of the house as he was walking towards the front. I stopped him and told him I saw what he did. I told him I wouldnt call his boss if he just went back and put down a real application. He did just that then billed me for two applications. After I told the operator what happened she said his supervisor would call me before the end of the business day. No phone call either.6/8/2015 Here it is a couple of weeks later and I got charged double. The nice operator never had the double charge removed from my bill so I got charge $110.00 for one bone head not doing his job right the first time. Never did hear from boneheads supervisor either. Im outta here. Too much competition to put up with a company that lacks integrity. Bye Felicia

I have expressed my dissatisfaction with the state of my lawn to TruGreen for over a month. Someone came out and spread grass seed and Revive on top of the dead grass. I have called back, spoken to 4 different people over the past week who have assured me that the manager would be contacting me to see what else could be done. I still have not heard from the manager. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone locally. I have been a customer for 4 years and used 3 of their services. I cancelled my service with them today and will tell anyone who will listen about my experience.
My lawn is in much better condition than before I started using TruGreen. If theres a problem, I call them and they come back out and redo the application.
Trugreen came by in April and talked us into a basic service, however our lawn was still full of weeds and half dead the entire summer. We called to end our service and they offered a free application to see if it made a difference.... It didnt, and then they did another application without asking and billed us for it. They also had terrible customer service when I called to talk about it.

Very disappointed on letting me know when they are coming and when theypromote something and you set it up its not fully set up and youre waiting for a call to verify and they sometimes never call you back then they charge you $89 for sprinkler blowout when youre supposed to be set up for a $30 blowout Im still waiting for the remaining money back of $59. They are very hard to get ahold of when somebody calls you and ask them by name. I would not recommend these people. My yard looks good just dissapointed on communication

UPDATE: I have changed my 1 star rating to 4 stars. After speaking with the GM at the TruGreen office, without hesitation, he offered to reimburse me for the damages. Today I received a check in the mail. I am happy they took responsibility for what happened. I rate a company not so much on level of service, but how they respond when service doesnt always go right. This latest action is a testament to a company that is working to make things right. If the GM is reading this, thank you once again for making this right.Five years ago, I built a new home with new landscaping. For 4 years in a row every summer, the tree in my front yard was in full bloom and the grass was completely green. True Green approached me a year ago and talked me into them servicing my yard and according to them, my potentially sick tree. They promised to nurse my sick tree back to health. Well after using their services for a year, they failed on their promise. My once living tree for the past 5 years is now completely dead and a quarter of my yard is completely burned with no signs of coming back. To make matters worse, Ive called customer service on this for a week now. They promised a supervisor would contact me later that same day. After no return call, I called again... 4 more times... with the same promise, and no return phone call. They continue to ignore my phone calls. Ive obviously cancelled my service with them. That was a chore within itself as the technician on the line would not take no for an answer and caused me to get a little angry on the phone with them which takes a lot for me.
TruGreen is AWFUL! Worst yard service Ive ever experienced with lawn care. Sold us a shrub and tree service and the trees died, Paid for weed control on a xeriscaped back yard and weeds are awful. Very unhappy with their service and they will not provide proper phone service either. I am canceling my service as soon as the current issue I have with them killing my trees is resolved. In court if need be.
Customer representative where unprofessional when I didnt agree with there price, kept calling back and hanging up on me, I finally blocked them. Rude and overpriced.

In March of 2018 the came unannounced and provided two services in one week. The tech left no bill or notification at my door stating services had been provided. The areation was done when the ground was still hard and provided no benefit. I received no apology from the company even after filing a complaint with the BBB. They continued to send bills and threats. Please stay away from Trugreen.
After I witnessed Carson S. removing the advertisements of a competitors from my front door and others in my neighborhood so that only their door hanger was left, I figured I had to leave a review. Underhanded sales practices reflect the poor attitude and demeanor of a company when a representative acts this way. I talked with Carson on the phone and asked him to return the flyer he took. He agreed and asked my location. He never showed up.Now, I dont care if TruGreen has a better product or service. After this one interaction I dont think Ill be a customer, ever.
True Green bought my name from Scotts lawn after they went under. They went ahead and scheduled all the services and were sending out reminders and calls. One thing they forgot, THEY NEVER CALLED ME AND ASKED FOR MY BUSINESS! We found another company (intermountain lawn) and they are doing a great job. After two years of calls begging to get us back they call again and ask if we want to switch. LOSERS! WE WILL NOT USE YOU!
