Ive worked with Teksystems on a number of different projects and never had a bad experience with them. They were always professional and polite. A good alternative when more steady work is hard to find.
Ive worked very closely with TEKsystems for employment on multiple occasions. They work closely with you and listen to your career needs and wants. They also offer tools to gauge your skills and make you more sell-able to future employers.
If you care about your career you will not speak to these people in ANY STATE. I had the unfortunate pleasure to deal with this company in NY and they were beyond terrible. Im in the IT field and there wasnt a single person I spoke to there that understood anything tech. How are they suppose to sell me for a job without knowing the field at least in the least??Regrettably I had to deal with them again in CO as I watched my wife get destroyed by them. She was contracted through them for a tech job and the guy told her shed be working in 5 days. 32 days go by before we hear anything and she starts two days after the guy finally called her. She told them shed be available in the mornings and they said that was fine then when she arrives at the job she finds out shes working afternoons. She reached out to her recruiter about this and heard nothing. We went another 46 days without hearing them. During this time my wife was a victim of extreme racial discrimination as the job took away her desk and had her sitting in a table in the corner of the room. They had her doing all the grunt work while they left early to drink and the word slave and workhorse were uttered a few times. My wife reached out to her recruiter while this was happening and received no response. When she did finally receive a response (the 46 days later) it was her manager calling to scream at her because of her performance. My wife tried to stand up for yourself but her job was threatened saying she had one week to square things away. Two weeks go by we hear nothing again and then suddenly she gets a call from her recruiter saying shes been let go. As my wife tried to explain the situation he was completely indifferent and was already talking about finding a new position for her. The position she has was fine if the recruiter did their job.We have seemed legal counsel for the discrimination at the job and they have highly recommended that this company was neglectful in assisting her despite the many emails and voicemails she had left. I highly recommend speaking to legal counsel if you have used them.If I could give negative stars I would
I would be hesitant on relying on this place to find you a Tech Job in Co Springs. I first applied then stopped in to their downtown office where the doors were locked and closed and i had to buzz to get someone to answer. I then was told all recruiters were busy but someone would contact me after i gave them my cell number. I was contacted by Holly Erickson and we met up and talked for about an hour. She then requested me to take a tech exam. I took the exam and then she requested i change my resume to her specific layout. I replied that i appreciate her advice but i would not be changing it, that was the last i heard from her. No reply, no phone call. This is what you will be dealing with and the jobs she described only paid $12 to $17 with no benefits and varied contract lengths. I honestly would apply directly to companies and try your best to network with recruiters of the big companies in Co Springs and Denver.
I first spoke to TekSystems about a year after I exited the military, and they were a great leg up into the realm of contracting. Ive seen comments about changing your resume to their format but these opinions are silly. If youre not willing to change your resume (minor changes) to fit the format of a hiring managers specifications, youre not going to get far in your career. You dont get benefits, but these jobs are meant to be a foot in the door, not a permanent solution. Many coworkers of mine, and myself included, no longer work for TekSystems but probably would not have gotten into contracting without their help. I would reccomend this business for people who dont have lengthy resumes, and want to add more experience to their resumes and improve their networking skills.
From the initial phone interview, I was lied to. I was lied to about pay. Lied to about travel. I was also lied to about them keeping their workers in projects. This companys dishonesty has no limits. These rating things need negative stars.
At the beginning of the year I met up with one of the recruiters. A friend had referred me to them and they called me asking for a meeting. We met up at a Starbucks, where the recruiter Matthew Moore was about 10 minutes late. After giving him my resume and going over what kind of work the company finds for people and what my long term goals were we agreed on a monthly check in. Matthew would give me a call every month just to let me know how things are and to see if anything had changed on my end. I havent heard a single word from them to date. Its extremely unprofessional and there is no way will I be recommending them to anyone. If I see anyone using them, or talking about using them, I will immediately redirect them to a more professional company. Had they simply just not been able to find work for me with my specific skill set, called me, and stated just that I would have thanked them for their time and moved on. The that wasnt even done.
