I got my bike serviced for the first time in colorado springs. Why not go to the oldest bike shop in town. I got greeted and serviced by Mark. The rest of the team was friendly and full of energy. Our experience was awesome and amazing! My son s bike tire went flat, the tube came out and wrapped around the chain and gears. He carried it to school, I picked it up, took it to Ted s and had it back to him in around an hour! Everyone was professional and knowledgeable. They answered our questions and were able to advise us. I feel confidante that the bike was fixed correctly. Im very appreciative!

The folks at Teds bicycles are absolutely awesome! Their service is awesome. When you buy a bike from them they provide free maintenance on that bike for a year. Often times they can take care of issues you are having with your bike when you drop by with your bike, provided its not a major issue. I highly recommend these guys.

I needed a new bike shop to tune up and repair my bike since the quality of service of my previous shop had gotten questionable. I decided to give Teds Bicycles a try about a year and a half ago, and theyve been my go-to shop ever since.Theyve always been able to fit me into a timely schedule, sometimes even getting the job done right then while I grab a bite to eat, they always do a consistently great job working on my bike, their prices are extremely reasonable, and all the guys there are really humble, helpful, and friendly. Every time I go there to have work done on my bike, me and the shop guys get into conversations about rides weve gone on or trips were planning. The place definitely gives the vibes of a bike shop run by guys that put their love for biking over a love for profit.As long as Im local to the Springs, Ill be supporting Teds.

I rented a hardtail mountain bike from Teds. The process was painless and relatively inexpensive. The guys at Teds are top notch. I was looking for a looking sustained climbing trail with a long downhill and Ryan hinged me up. He took the time to show me turn by turn directions to The Chutes and Captain Jacks. It was one of the funnest trails Ive ever done. If Im ever back in the area, Ill hit them up again.

P. J. fixed up my bike like a boss! After having been disappointed and turned away by Criterion (or whatever the hell they are called) and another dumpy basement bike shop they recommended, I finally Googled Teds Bicycles. The other bike repair shops wouldnt touch my bike because the frame had been welded back together. I told them I would sign a waiver/pay in cash/ whatever. I wanted my bike fixed up because after 15+ years it is now a part of me - too many memories to part with it now.P. J. completely understood my situation and made me feel validated. He manned up and assured me he could fix my bike. He got my bike tuned up and tighter than anyone else has done since I have ever owned it. All this despite the frame having been welded back together. I am going to start buying bikes here at Teds for my kids now.

Last time I rode a bike I was 13, so I have no idea what Im doing with them! I got a bike as a gift from walmart that I tried to put together, which advised I still take into a bike shop to look over. I did NOT know what I was doing. It wasnt even a bike bought from Teds, but the employee Will did not treat me any less than a valued customer. The adjustments werent even that expensive, but the REAL value is that during the entire checkup, he shared useful tips and gave great advice. I wont bother going elsewhere in the future, whether to help upkeep on my current bike, or when I eventually want to buy something more advanced.

Went in to look for a new mountain bike. Owner and staff were GREAT. Relatable, personal, friendly, professional, very knowledgeable. You can tell they all love what they do. PJ was very energetic, and excited to explain things we needed, was very patient with our indecisiveness, and all around a great man to speak to . Would HIGHLY recommend them. I am a very demanding consumer. I complain when I feel it is justified. But I also don’t let good service go unnoticed. If you want to buy a bike Ted’s is the place to do it. Because of our travels we had the opportunity to shop in Pennsylvania, Missouri And Colorado. We visited probably 10 or 15 different stores. Ted’s bicycles were by far the best of the group. Mark our salesman was fantastic. He was patient. Direct. And truthful. Because we frequent all three of those states I will do all of my business with Ted’s. Came in today to get some parts for a bike for our autistic son. A cool bike like his freinds, is all he wants for his birthday latter this week. You treated us kindly, were honest with what you could help with and what you could not and offered to order what we needed if we couldnt find it elsewhere(given the short time frame we need it in you were honest that it may not come in before we need it). We got the smallest thing we needed.You recommended a local competitor who you trusted to treat us as well as you did. We got to them and they didnt have what we needed but recommended you all right back. Thanks for getting our boys cool bike one step closer to reality.

Despite their being incredibly busy, a tech took half an hour to fix my gear shifting. It was totally out of whack and he fixed it patiently and methodically. Much appreciated!

I needed a good road bike while I was in Colorado Springs for a couple of weeks.Teds had one that fit me well, provided the bike with Look pedals that fit my Diadora shoes, and got me on my way for a fairly reasonable price and were very gracious when I had to alter my rental agreement schedule. Tony was great and his wife was very helpful as well. Staff all were very courteous and helpful. But be aware Colorado Springs is not road bike heaven. I rode at US Air Force Academy and on Petersen AFB and was able to enjoy about 270 miles of safe riding. The streets and roads within Colorado Springs are pretty crazy so dont ride just anywhere in the city. The AF Academy is accessible to visitors from 9 to 5 each day but Peterson AFB is only open to you if someone there sponsors you. Saturdays and Sunday are pretty traffic free there, and weekdays are busy but tolerable.

I haven’t rode a bike since I was 9 years old and everywhere I’ve gone, people don’t even ask if I need help. Ted’s on the other hand, offered assistance over the phone. The most kind customer service from Mark and Tony when I got here. And I’m at a loss for words to describe how great of an entire experience. They fitted me with more detail than I even knew existed and taught me what I need to know without judgement. Highly recommend!!

Went to Teds Bicycles today to get my daughter a new bike. After visiting three other shops in the Colorado Springs area over the last few weeks, I was at the point of giving up and just ordering something online. When we walked into the shop we were promptly greeted and asked how they could help. Even though the shop was busy, we had individual attention and the owner (Tony) took the time to run to the hardware store and get longer screws so the brake handles would be properly adjusted for my daughters hands. After my previous experiences with other shops in town I cannot stress enough to visit Teds before you make your purchase. You wont regret it.

Awful experience. First I ordered a bike online only for it to magically disappear from stock when I come to pick my order up.Then I order a bike from Giant and get it shipped to them. It arrived 3 weeks ago to their shop and I have called three times and they keep saying its getting built. Still dont have it. Im not sure how they have such a great rating.

Tony Hoewvesich is excellent!! He has many years experience. Both he and their employees will try to fit you for your best needs of whatever bike youre looking for. Tony is very friendly as are everyone working there. They are a locally owned shop. They very knowledgeable and willing to help. They carry parts, accessories, and a repair shop. Very, very highly reccomend. Oh did I mention he(Tony) is a pretty darn good bowler(nothing but spares and strikes).

What a fantastic experience! I had come in the day prior to actually buying the bike just to look at it. I gave a time window that I may be in the next day to come in and test ride it with a new seat. Tony said it would be ready for me and it was. I didnt have to wait, he just pulled it off the rack with the new equipment attached even though, much like the cable guy, I didnt show up on time. Tony really took the time to help me out and fit the bike exactly how I needed it. Im pretty much a newbie to cycling but I wasnt made to feel stupid or out of place. Everyone in the shop was personable and ready to help. I picked up a great bike for a great price. Even the accessories were not over priced, which I found really surprising for a small shop. Great experience!

I stopped at 3 other bike places before stopping at Teds. Glad I did. They were pretty busy, but still answered all my questions. Mark was especially helpful and gave lots of good advice.I ended up going with the Giant Talon 2. They fit the bike to my body when I picked it up. Went for a light ride that day and a heavier ride down Captain Jacks trail the next day and had a blast.

This is the place to go if you want to rent a bike in Colorado Springs and know that you are truly valued as a customer. We always rent from Teds. We recently had our first experience where one of our bikes was not working correctly, the wheat was not staying up. It was a bummer being that it was a holiday weekend and we were up in monarch far away from the shop which was closed anyways. I told the owner our experience and as a small business owner a expected a small discount for next time. Nope not at Teds. The owner clearly valued me and my family’s business and gave me a GIANT discount. I shocked, humbled and grateful. Although the weekend was bumpy we still had fun but returning the bikes to Ted’s made it even better. Teds is the best bike shop in town. People might be thrown off due to the smaller sized shop compared to the corporate stores. Dont let this fool you Tonys staff are a stand up group of guys. I have three bikes from them and they stand behind their product a 100%. They also have no problem in custom builds and repairs. I have had them build my son a amazing Kona Stinky completely custom that would keep it up with any of the new bikes out there. They have also rebuilt and upgraded two of my Trek mountain bikes to become unbelievably awesome bikes. They are always willing to provide useful advice for free and give you pointers on anything you need bike related. These guys are awesome Tony, Luke, and Garrett make this shop a great place to go. If they dont have something they can order it and if it not a good idea they will tell you truth instead of wasting your money.
