When I walked into the store I had been in there for at least 5 minutes and neither of the two cool guys behind the counter acknowledged me at all. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!!! On the bright side of things because of their rudeness I was able to give my money to Teds 😁😁

You have to be extremely specific with every detail that you want done here if you hope to get it done right. Took our bikes in for a tune-up and some repairs. My husband asked for a once-over, which in his HVAC tech world means clean and check everything is working, and call about repairs he would suggest to keep everything operating in top condition. In their world that means acknowledge it is in the shop. The shifters are still broken and the chains filthy. It took them a week to do this. I was excited to pick up my bike thinking it would be clean and ride like new. It was incredibly disappointing to pick up a dirty bike that had numerous repairs yet to be made before I could ride.

While on my way to the zoo with my 16 month old son, I remembered that I had a flat tire on the stroller and needed helping fixing it with short notice. I called Colorado Springs Bike Shop and asked if they had the tube size I needed in stock and if I would be able to get help replacing the old while I was there. When I arrived, they immediately wheeled my stroller into the service area and installed the new tube... but they ALSO checked the alignment on all 3 wheels and adjusted the air pressure on the other two tires. They had me in and out in plenty of time to make it to our zoo reservation!

Took my pedal machine a Stamina pedaler (not a full bike) to the shop to see if they could do anything to fix it. Before I knew it, Rocky was calling me to tell me it was fixed and ready to pick up. I am thrilled to have it back and working. Thanks!

My husband Henry and I recently purchased two Aventon electric bikes from this friendly shop. We love the bikes...Colorado Springs no longer has hard hills and we can ride together. So much fun! But we also want to highly recommend the CS bike shop for their excellent service and careful attention to our questions.

Ive taken my sons bike here for repairs and had them tune up my own bike. Both times the staff was helpful and pleasant. I suggest going here if you want something a bit better than the bikes that Walmart or Target sells.

May 31st I bought an e-bike (an expensive one at that) the salesman said that it was ok for the battery to drain before charging it. But a month and a half after we bought the bike I forgot to charge the battery and ended up going dead. I charged it and now, the bike will no longer go 28 miles an hour (on pedal assist). Top speed whether pedal assist or not, it will not go above 20 miles an hour. I bought this particular bike because it goes 28 mph on pedal assist. So, I called the store and asked for a manager. I told him exactly what I said above and he actually started arguing with me! I was only going to ask him if he would order me a new battery. I was so upset that he started arguing that I hung up. I dont care if this bike shop is the last bike shop in the state. I will never go back there. They do not back up what they sell. I would understand if I have had the bike for 6 months-- even 3 months! But I havent had it even 2 months. And I was not afraid of letting the battery go dry, because the salesman said that it did not matter.... But, it sure does matter! Dont let your e-bike battery drain down to 0. These people do not really care about their customers, nor apparently do they care if the customer ever comes back to buy from them again. We spent over $1,600 in that store!

This is a great shop to buy used parts and refurbished bikes on the cheap. Great new stuff too. It helps to know what you want because it’s lightly staffed. It’s a nice place to look around, but, buy something! They won’t be around forever unless you go there and buy stuff. Great place!

Immediately felt that I was not welcome from who I assume was the owner. Essentially, pushed me out the door from the beginning and did not provide me any details on incoming shipments or anything. I understand I’m late to the game in terms of shopping for a mountain bike three months into a pandemic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be friendly or respectful. I try to support local businesses but this was a bummer. Will not return.

Bought my first bike in years here a couple of days ago. The staff is top notch and knows their stuff. Excellent mechanics that are always willing help. If you are looking for a great local bike shop, this is the place.

I brought a 20 year old bike into the shop. They were able to fix the shifter and get it running in 30 min for a great price. No attempt at upselling or trying to get me to buy stuff I dont need. I will go back when I need more work done.

So, I called an hour beforehand to see if they could do a tubeless set up on my wheelset. They associate in the phone said to bring my wheels on down and that it would take 15-20 min. I walk for 45 minutes with my wheelset in hand only to get there and have the mechanic tell me that not only can they not get to it, but they didnt have the parts. Im sure this place does quality work and sells quality bikes. I personally will never do business with them again.

New ownership, not sure if my money was respected last time. Tune up was left with some issues not shared and I was charged for something that was said to be free. I’ve been taking my bike to this shop for at least 7 years. It’s taught me to fix things myself and use the internet for better prices.

Horrible attitude at this shop!! Since the son of original owner sold it no good!! Stopped in there today and was told i could not come in due to no mask. Had left mine at work. Good customer service would have been to over me a disposable one. I said well i just order a bike on line. Was told good hope you do. This was said in a very nasty we dont need your business attitude. Another good bike shop gone. Would have gave them negative stares but you have to give one to write review. I have owned several resturants here in town. If i would have treated a customer the way i was treated at this bike shop i would never have been successful. Sad to see see another good bike shop disappearing becuase of new/poor ownership. Where did the go the extra mile and make a customer for life attitude these days. Have bought 3 bikes there from previous owner. Commuter to work on bike everyday regardless of weather. They just turned away a loyal customer. I guess they have so much business they dont need any more customers. Good luck your going to need it!!!!! If you follow my reviews you would know that it is rare for me to give a bad review. I am pretty easing going. The attitude i got today was something i have not experienced for a long time. Very SAD!!

These folks are super busy right now (with so many bike shops having closed permanently 😭), but they do a great job. Their processes for keeping the public safe during the C19 pandemic is highly appreciated.

Went here for the first time today after realizing too late I ordered the wrong size tires for my bike. Have a virtual tri this weekend and was sure I would get DQd for the bike portion since everyone is closed and my size tires are not carried everywhere. They helped me on the spot! Brought my road bike and new to me TT bike, that needed new pedals and was not rideable, and they got both squared away! Front brake on my road bike was messed up and they fixed that as well. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable, and did quality work. Will certainly work with them in the future! Thanks guys!!!

Stopped in to get a tube for my husbands bike tire which had broken 10 mins into a bike ride after being installed. We are talking about $8 worth of merchandise. They not only didn’t offer to replace it but they allowed my husband to be stranded 10 streets away with a completely flat tire. Terrible customer services! unfortunately I left my debit card at home and was unable to purchase a new one. We were lucky enough to find a friendly person who not only gave us a tube but helped us install it. Thank goodness! Needless to say...We won’t be back to o this store.

This place is with out a doubt the best bike shop in Colorado Springs. I first bought my bike there about two years ago, then two days later got hit by a car (no damage to me it was one of those awkward slow crashes but enough about that) and they repaired it like brand new (the guy that hit me was super nice, felt bad and covered the cost). The next time was a tune up and to add lights. Again they were super professional, thorough, and friendly. The next time I was super broke and wanted to sell it back. They told me not to since it was a good bike, and it would be a bad decision to get rid of it. They were right!!!! I just got it fixed after having it sit around for a year in pieces. It rode just like the first day. The amount of attention and detail Rocky put towards my bike is amazing. He found everything that needed to be fixed, fixed it when he said he would, and I couldnt ask for a better mechanic. The staff is great. My bike will always be fixed there. Go check them out!!!!

We rented a few bikes for a day of pedaling around. They actually only had 1 bike for us but managed to repair another one so we could have the 2 we needed. Very friendly and helpful shop.

We had a blast renting 4 bikes from Colorado Springs Bike shop! We called ahead and Doug had them all set up. Even helmets on each bike. Doug was amazingly helpful! We will be back !

Honestly not very impressed with their service they told me they had to loosen up the back brakes in order to properly fit the tire on, they said we want you to ride safely and not even tighten up the brakes afterwards, Im very disappointed. I wont be taking my bike there again.

If I had ANY service I would call it bad service. I needed tubes/tire install and a coulple fenders. She told me they were 24 hr out on install. The tires were terrible and the fenders were worse than walmart prob. Prices here are insain. Limited product and its not even the stuff youd want to buy for your bike. Go to ProCycling thats right down the street. Way better service and products, plus the tire install was less than 5 mins

Worst experience ever. I wish I could put zero stars. A week ago I purchased a bike, got it home it sat in the garage a couple days. I finally rode it around my street a little (about 50 ft), and decided it wasnt what I wanted. Went back to try to return it, and they told me no refunds after its posted in the shop returns after 14 days. But what they failed to mention and say, is no returns on bikes. Even when I was purchasing it not until after the sale was final, does it mention on the receipt all sales final on bikes. Very decieving, at no time did they ever mention all sales final until I tried to return it. After a heated conversation with Bonnie, I said I would leave a bad review. She then threatened to find my supervisor and get me fired from my job. They claim to be a company of integrity but this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and thus a lack of integrity.

I bought my bike here and its wonderful. I love this place, and the fact that they can fix youre bike is even better. Theyre wonderful people and provide great costumer service.

I too wish I could give zero stars. I took my sons bike in on Wednesday. I paid for the repairs upfront. They told me I could pick it up at 1200 on Saturday. I went in to pick it up around 1300 on Saturday. After waiting about 5 minutes they finally got to me. (There was one person ahead of me.) He brought the bike out, I looked at the tires and saw that the work had not been done. At first it looked like he was going to do the work right then. He asked me if i had time to wait around. I said no, thats why I dropped it off in the first place. I got a refund and left. Wont be going back.

I honestly dont know how anyone could have a bad experience at this place. The pricing is extremely reasonable, 80 dollars for a time up is awesome for one thing. They are very knowledgeable and very friendly. I think this is the greatest bike shop, ever, plus they have awesome art work made out of bike parts and a Tiki bar where my girls and I get a different flavor of rootbeer each time. I love this place.

I probably wouldnt ever return here for service or maintenance. I called here on June 12th to see if I could possibly get help with a front derailleur adjustment. The person I spoke to on the phone was named Jerry and he said that if it was a quick adjustment it would probably be 5 dollars. So I brought it in and the technician named Rocky looked at it and said he will adjust it for 20 dollars. I told him money is tight and before I could even finish my sentence he pulled my bike off of the mount and said come back when you have some money. I agreed to pay the 20 dollars and he worked on it for about 3 minutes and tested it and said it was ok. It still has the same issues. I feel like I got taken advantage of and rocky was very unfriendly. I paid 20 dollars for a 3 minute adjustment.

These guys have to be the rudest people Ive ever met! God forbid you have a question for them or want to spend money! I will never return and wouldnt recommend anyone to go here !

I first went to another bike shop, and they wouldnt assist me, so I stop at Colorado Springs Bike Shop, and within a few sec, someone helped me. Always kind and friendly and knowledgeable, I bought a mountain bike and whenever I need it serviced its in and out job.

Randomly went to look at their website when I came across the most recent review. I have noooo idea what these people are talking about. Im an avid cyclist and moved to Colorado about 3 years ago. I visited a few bike shops trying to find the one that I was going to be giving my business to. As soon as I went in the first time I was greeted by Ed (the owner) with a warm smile and a hello. Since then it has been the only place I have gone for tires, tubes, tune-ups or even just a quick stop mid-ride for coffee. They remember me each time I go in and treat me like I have been going there for 40 years. If you are looking for anything bicycle related I highly recommend them.John H.

Beyond disappointed. Never have I ever experienced a bicycle shop like this one. The owners are very shady and leave out the fact that no returns are allowed until after purchase. Go to any other bicycle shop and they offer a 30 day timeframe to return their bicycles. At no time did Bonnie ever mention this, after questioning her why she didnt inform customers of their return policy she got hostile with me. She told me flat out that she will not inform customers before they purchase of their return policy. After becoming frustrated I ended the call to which she then called me back and left a very threatening voicemail. For any future customers beware these people are only out for your money. Stay away.

I recently had them tune up my Haro mountain bike, and I was amazed at the difference it made. I took it in because I knew it had some issues such as loose cables and jerky shifting. They made everything right with it and I cant remember it ever riding so smoothly. I never realized that a bike needed to be tuned up regularly, but it made a big difference and was worth the $80.

Kinda of a waste of time going here. I dropped my bike off on Monday morning at around 10 am to be packed and shipped. I was told that they only had two bikes ahead of me and that it would be packed by the next day. Needless to say, come Wednesday morning, I called and Chase told me I was going to be called by a woman who ran the shipping. 5:30 pm (30 minutes before closing) I call again and the woman tells me that they have a customer that they have had for 30 years getting a bike shipped out on Thursday and that if I want it shipped I would have to bring in a prepaid label so that they could do me the favor of shipping it. Thanks! You made me look like an idiot in front of the person that faithfully paid me for the bike, and you also left me out to dry and werent even gonna call me. Good business. I should have taken it to another bike shop, so if you do business here, make sure you follow up to check on them doing what they said they would do.

I wish I could give zero stars based on the aweful customer service I received.I went to Bicycle Experience down the street and was assisted immediately and got my brake pads fixed in less then 10 minutes.

Great prices and service. I needed a front fork with shocks for my 10 yr old S Works. I like to call, ask about options, and read reviews at home. I first called go-to bike shop. My fav bike shop told me to take a hike, didnt want to talk via phone. I knew my specs (tapered vs straight) so they had no excuse. This shops mechanical on duty was cordial and I eventually came in for the fix. Love my new front fork with a perfect value shock and now have a new fav bike shop.

Went in today with a coupon to have 2 bikes tuned up. Owner tells us...oh it was a misprint and would not honor the coupon. I call that a bait and switch and plan to report the store to the Attorney General for the State of Colorado.

Owners are very helpful and willing to give you the Attention you would expect as a customer. This is the only bike shop i will go to.

I recently became serious about cycling, to the point of selling the car and relying on cycling as exclusive transportation. My vigor for the sport overwhelmed my lack of bicycle technical acuity, and being due for a tune up and new gear before I knew it, I took a step into Colorado Springs Bike Shop. I had two bicycles tuned up for $59 each with a military discount, ready the next day. I also inquired about night lights and optics, chamois, and mounted streaming video, and had every single probing question answered to the point of complete satisfaction. The inquired about objects were purchased and installed for free during the tune up. Additionally and much to my delight, Bonnie offered me a cup of coffee every time I walked in, and all the staff remembered my name after one encounter and made me feel welcome immediately upon my return.Over-all, a very pleasant experience. I hope to see the store busier in the future, as it was morbidly slow. Dont let the cold deter you from riding, and please, watch out for us on the road!

I am a leisure cyclist. My service with them started after calling them about a schwinn le tour III from the 70s that appeared to be in rough shape that I bought on craigslist. After an over the phone estimate I brought it in and was greeted with good advise and a willingness to figure out what was needed to be done and what could be done for much more. One thing I noticed was they want to sell you on tune up services for 80 bucks. I was not Interested as Im a motorcycle and car mechanic but had no idea how to straighten a bicycle rim, nor did I feel like installing tubes and tires. I understand why they do this though. Shops gotta make Money somehow so its ok. I gave them 87 for tubes tires and straightened rim.Timely service was impeccable! I asked if they could get it done that day and they seemed hesitant but assured me anyway it would get done. I felt so bad when I couldnt pick it up later that day and still not for another 3 days but regardless was very much appreciated and shows they care about customer service. People may say their prices and service are high but were not shopping at Wal-Mart folks so get over it. It also appears this shop is not for pro cyclists looking for spending thousands on the best of the best. But some of these old fashioned cruiser bikes and whatnot are still fairly expensive.And!!!.....you can buy all the parts there.for a custome bike!! All in all they have my business for parts, services out of my expertise and a new bike when my wife is Rdy, shop locally!!

Ed and Bonnie, the owners of the CSBS, have always gone out of their way to help my wife and I as we dont own a car!! Theyve been extremely pacient as weve changed to different styles of bikes over the years and even treated us well when we bought, recumbent style bikes, that they dont normally stock. They are a FAMILY shop not a pro boutique shop and thats what we need as we use our bikes for utility/commuting/recreation and lite touring. No matter the challenge the Colorado Springs Bike Shop, has always exceded our expectations. Weve been doing business with them since 2005 and will continue. If you want service with a smile and shop that feels like family, shop, buy and ENJOY the CSBS! :)
