Finally an autoshop with honest mechanics who are good at what they do and arent trying to rob you. Every time I have brought my Subaru in, I have been very happy I did. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!

Mikes Japanese and Domestic Auto Repair is the place to take your car to be fixed in the Springs. They were extremely understanding of my schedule and took great care of my car and me while I was there. The prices were great and Mike and his partner were very friendly and kind. My car was fixed up in one day, and I have been trying to get it fixed for ages. They were very accommodating and I highly recommend you take your car here if you need any auto repairs for a job well done. Mike and Austin are amazing guys to deal with. Very very patient and extremely knowledgeable. I have been chasing electrical issues with my vehicle for quite some time, and have even had other shops look at it, with no luck. These guys not only found the issue and fixed it, but they also made it happen a lot sooner than planned. If you need any work done I highly recommend giving this shop an opportunity to take great care of you and your vehicles. You definitely will be pleased with the outcome.

Had water pump and timing belt done plus general maintenance, they were very timely and were in consistent touch over the phone. Its been a couple of months now and zero issues. Am very pleased with this shop and would recommend.

I called mikes when the previous shop tried to upsell me an engine on my 2016 Subaru WRX. As a former mechanic I was able to at least know that the engine wasnt bad and after talking to Austin he was on the same page as me. After taking my car to multiple shops all trying to upsell a 21 year old that they think has no clue whats going on with cars, and not even coming close to labeling the actual issue, I contacted mikes and talked to Austin. He was extremely professional and kind and didnt make it seem like he was trying to rush me off the phone like some shops. he got every single detail about the car and took it out of my hands. he had it for three days and found the issue and fixed the issue when it wasnt an easy job. He pulled the transition and put it back in and fixed the issue within three days when other shops had the car for weeks. I recommend mikes shop more than any shop in Colorado. this will be the only shop to touch my car from now on. thanks Austin.

Mike and Austin are Amazing!! Austin rebuilt my 2.0L 05 WRX in 2 steps. 1 rebuild stock for break in. 2 upgraded Up-pipe, Downpipe, TGV deletes, Fuel Pump and 1050cc injectors and helped get it to Under Pressure Performance for a ecu tune (by Dez). Stock turbo running E-85 made smooth band 282.6 WHP (and a solid 280.6 Torque). I love my daily driver, thanks to these hard working and knowledgeable guys! I followed the break-in guidelines to a T and have a great running car!

Called in an arranged a free inspection of an engine issue. In a few hours they had the solution in hand. I okayed the repair for a great price. They were super friendly and made sure I walked away happy. It is a rare feeling to walk out of an auto shop knowing you didnt get ripped off. Great shop for Subaru repairs!

Mike and Austin are extremely courteous and professional. I read a review about someone taking their car to the dealer to which they recommended a complete engine reseal. I had the same issue (oil leak) and recommendation from the dealer, but decided to take it to Mikes. Turns out I had the same issue as the reviewer and all I needed was a head gasket which saved me a few thousand dollars 😎I took my car back to have a lift kit installed and was pleased with the work and I feel the price was more than fair. Highly recommend them to anyone who needs an honest mechanic!

Its the only shop in town that Ill use for repairs and maintenance. First off, customer service is top notch as they are honest and professional. Secondly, their hourly shop rate is bit higher than others, but you seriously do pay for their quality and workmanship. Every time that Ive taken a car there, everything was good to go,and Ive never had issues. Theyre timely, professional, and offer great value.

These guys did an absolutely fantastic job on a short block changeout on my Impreza. They had the engine replaced in under 36 hours. I will be going to them for every automotive need in the future as it is hard to find a mechanic that one can trust and do a job right the first time.

I decided to go to Mike’s because one of my coworkers referred them to me. It was nice to go somewhere with great and timely service. Most auto shops try to upsell me on things I don’t need. They did not try to upsell me at Mike’s. Overall one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Best mechanics you can find in town. VERY honest people. I have been to these guys several times and will continue to go back. I have gone in to get maintenance done, and they have saved my old parts and showed me exactly what was wrong with it. Often gone to have them look at something and they havent charged me anything. Prices are reasonable and affordable. If youre looking for a mechanic they come highly recommended from me.

Honest. Experienced. Customer friendly. I had to find a mechanic in the area. I used to do all my own work, but I lack the proper resources currently. I took a chance on Mikes And I was not disappointed. Mike has been here over 30 years. The father-son team means decades of life experience working to resolve your mechanical issues. You wont find an in experienced rookie, freshly graduated from tech school, working on your car or truck. I asked for a quote on new tires while the truck was in the shop for something else. Instead of selling me tires I didnt need, Mike the tires were fine and not to waste time and money replacing them. This place exemplifies honesty, experience and customer service. I contacted Mikes Japanese Auto when my wife’s car started having some major issues and she was driving a great distance to work each day. Mike and Austin were great and got the car in same day, diagnosed the issue immediately and the price for labor and parts was Very reasonable. Extremely professional and car was done within 24 hrs. Being a relatively new to Colorado, Mike’s was recommended to me by a long time friend and fellow transplant. Austin and Mike make a great team. Austin quickly diagnosed my car and came up with alternative courses of action to get them fixed based on my budget. They are super informative and explain exactly what is going on and how to resolve the issue. They don’t try to sell you anything you don’t need and have very competitive pricing. If you’re like myself, having car troubles and new to COS give them a call!

These guys are the best in the business. They are straight forward, honest, and helpful. You want the right service at the right price, you must go see these guys. They helped to save me thousands when a different mechanic shop told me I need something that I did not. Mikes is an absolutely awesome place. I first went there to get my timing belt done after seeing all the great reviews and pictures of their shop car and work they have done. They got it done fast and painless and didn’t try to sell me on other things that weren’t related. About a month or two ago my automatic trans blew in my 02 wrx. Austin was extremely helpful in helping me figure out wether I wanted to rebuild the junk auto or swap for a manual. After deciding to swap for a manual Austin was also really helpful in finding the parts and getting me a quote on labor that wasn’t expensive at all for how much work it was. I dropped the car off and everything went near perfect with some hiccups that austin was quick to let me know about (my cars fault) and I got the car back in 3 days. These guys are legit honest mechanics and I strongly recommend going here if you have any type of problems with your car, or just need normal maintenance done. I’ll definitely be bringing my car back whenever the time comes for other types of work that i’m not competent enough to do.

Both Mike and Austin both gave me the best experience Ive ever had with and mechanic/shop. I had a very unfortunate problem occur with my previous engine block and a few other things and Austin got me set up with a new closed-deck block and its running perfectly. Id STRONGLY recommend them to anyone looking for an honest shop.
