I took my BMW X3 to do an oil change, alignment and breaks. I was charged 1/2 the price I would have paid at the BMW Dealership. However, it was the biggest disappointment, I had to take back like three times to get it synchronized. At this time I don’t even think that they did anything to it. But I had to pay!By the way, they replied saying that it was a fake review, please see the pics. Also, they said that they had never served my vehicle, that should say more about their horrible service!

I had a serious brake issue with my rear brakes.I had to stop.They were very busy but even so, the lady went to look and see if I had brake fluid and found it to be low.She put brake fluid in for me and it worked!She didn’t charge me for it!Praise God!

I had a horrible experience here. I had my clutch replaced by them and it was making a bad sound the moment I drove it away from the shop. I took it back TWO times to tell them and they told me the first time that they didnt hear anything. This time they were rude and I heard them say now Im really far behindI waited a couple weeks and the sound continued to get worse. I took it back again and they told me it was supposed to do that because the clutch fingers dont line up perfectly all the time. I left again and the sound continued to get worse. So I took it to the dealership and the clutch bearing was completely shot. I called back and they said to bring it in AGAIN. At this point I have been driving it for over a month on a bad clutch bearing. Will nOt take my cars back there and wouldnt recommend going here.

Gray’s went above and beyond to help me get my vehicle problem solved. I had a noise they could not duplicate at first so they offered I bring it back when it does it or take a video. It took weeks before it made the sound again but I was able to bring it right on in to be looked at. The mechanic was able to solve the problem in less then 20 minutes. I will most definitely be bringing my vehicles back in the future. Thank you Gray’s!

STAY AWAY!!I have waited to write this review because I was so incredibly angry when I first found out how this place completely lied to me about the work that needed to be done on my car. I went in for a weird thunking sound that seemed to be coming from the front of my car when I would turn. At first the guy who looked at my car said he couldn’t even find anything wrong and didn’t hear anything when he drove it, which astonished me but he said he would keep looking. After more waiting, a woman called me to the counter to inform me that it was the front, rear, and side engine mount that were bad and needed to be replaced. Then she showed me how much it would cost and all my red flag alarms started going off. Supposedly, my pilot needs a special kind of engine mount which are outrageously expensive.I left without having any work done because they said it wasn’t urgent, and I instantly called Freedom Honda. They got me in right away, and when I informed them what I was told at Gray’s she said it sounded a bit fishy. I was at the Honda dealership for a grand total of 30 mins (I was at Gray’s for over two hours I believe) and they found that my engine mounts are in fact PERFECTLY FINE and it was actually some strut bolts loose on top of the struts. The guy literally just had to tighten them and the problem was fixed. I am so happy I trusted my gut and didn’t get the work done at Gray’s. I’m not sure if they are running a shady practice and scamming people on the regular, or if this one guy just felt inadequate that he couldn’t find what was wrong and made something up, but I will never go there again, and I would not ever recommend that anyone else does!

Had to have the battery replaced, (which irked my nerve because I could do it myself if Ford hadnt placed it in an unaccessible location) So I priced out batteries and started calling around so Id have an idea of how much this would cost. Grays had been recommended to me, and I called them first. The quote was WAY cheaper than I was expecting and they were able to squeeze me in the next day as long as I got it there when they opened. I was there about 10 minutes early and they took the keys. Called me in the afternoon to let me know the air filter needed to be replaced (something Ive been putting off, because its another PITA) and I theyd replace it for just the cost of the part since they already took it out getting to the battery. My car was ready 1/2 hour later. Well priced, in and out at the last minute. Thank you!

I have been going here for my oil change, regular maintenance for the last 4 years. They have been the best tire and auto repair shop I have seen. They are friendly, knowledgeable, cost-conscious.They are on time, I can discuss various options on tires and ask questions about why they suggest something, and they explain it well. It took 3 full business days, 3 calls, and two voicemails before I ever got ahold of anybody in their office. Dropped my car off Sunday night and left a voicemail with two phone numbers they could call back. Heard nothing by Tuesday, so I called again during business hours, again nothing. Gave them until the end of the day on Wednesday before I called and asked if they had even touched my car yet, and the rude lady on the phone said “hold on” put me on hold, got back on and said “yeah we have it lined up to maybe look at tomorrow”. I understand if you’re busy and don’t have time to look at my car for 4 days (not really) but some grace would have been given if they could have called me back and made any contact with me. I needed my car fixed in a somewhat timely manner, so a call on day one so I could have originally taken it somewhere else, would have avoided any bad taste from this company.

Had a major front end rebuild on my 2001 Tahoe. Estimate was $1200 but final bill was only $900! Grays determined that one of the components did not need replacement so reused it and saved me $300. I really appreciated there honesty. Also the car handles much better so they did a great job.

Had Grey’s change my oil and filter a few months back. Turns out the drain plug didn’t seal back up correctly so lost a lot oil on the garage floor. They took care of everything and even cleaned up the underside of all oil mess. Good folks!

I always bring my Escape in for oil changes at Grays because theyre fast and reasonably priced. The other day I had to have it towed to them because my car got stuck in reverse and had a slew of other problems. I was told it would be $100/hour for the diagnostic and would be at least two days before they could look at it. Later that day Tabitha called me and told me she had suspicions about the problems because of another Escape in their shop at the same time, so she ran my VIN and pulled up my vehicle under a recall. I ended up having to tow my car from Grays to the dealer, and Grays didnt charge me at all for the time they spent searching for information on my car, helping it off and on the tow truck, etc. Grays is a great shop and Ill continue to bring my all my cars here.

I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I purchased a used vehicle a couple of weeks ago and since I didnt have a dependable or reliable mechanic I decided to try Grays based on customer reviews. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and during my initial visit I explained I had just purchased my vehicle and I was looking to have a mechanic look over the vehicle, give it a tune up and help me determine if it was worth the money I paid for it. There was a service vehicle soon light on the dashboard I wanted to get checked out as well. I didnt think this was an unusual request. I dropped my vehicle off and after a couple of hours I received a call from a lady telling me I had some wires and a couple small parts that needed to be replaced along with the sensor that was the reason for the Service Vehicle Soon light. When I asked how much it would cost me she quoted me $378.00. I confirmed that would cover the sensor replacement, which they told me would turn off the Service Vehicle Soon light. When I returned to the shop to pick up my vehicle I was a bit annoyed to find that my bill was over $500. I asked why I was given a different amount over the phone and was not given an explanation as to why the cost was so much higher. When I asked for a detailed list of what exactly they did to my vehicle I was handed a receipt with an illegible hand written list. After trying to make sense of the cost the mechanic then tells me I need to get my front and back struts fixed which will be $900. Had they informed me of this sooner, before I agreed to pay the $378.00 to fix the sensor and other small parts, I would have told them to stop where they were and not to do any more work to the vehicle. Instead of trying to help me, it seems like they intentionally took advantage of me and my situation. If you are reading this review DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP.

I have been a loyal customer of Grays auto--however will no longer go there. I was having trouble with my vehicle- my vehicle was not revving up and stalling- their first attempt to fix the problem was new spark plugs. That did not help- next was a new throttle body (under warranty)- still having the same trouble- next was the replacement of the pedal sensor--- same trouble- I took it in again once more, they drove it and told me they didnt hear or experience the issue - a recurring one, by the way. The same thing happened again- a total break down for this same reason- and I informed Garys I was taking my jeep to the dealership as I cant keep going around and around with this and I would like reimbursement of the throttle body. Grays said they would need to throttle body back. I informed dealership, as dealership needed to replace the throttle body due to a malfunction of the part itself and incorrect installation of the part, Grays had installed. Dealership stated they needed to return to throttle body to the manufacturer or would have to charge me 450.00 to send it to Grays. So, my vehicle was repaired- new throttle body- running like a dream. I returned to Grays with an itemized receipt of the problems and the repairs. Grays kept saying they needed to the throttle body back and also said I should have brought me vehicle to them first. I explained I did not want to bring it back to them, as this same issue-from the beginning - and nothing was not being resolved. After long conversation- Grays decided to fax the manufacturer a copy of the itemized service and cost the dealership had given me. Grays still has not gotten back to me regarding the outcome of the manufacturers response. I feel Grays has been careless with my vehicle, unwilling to bend on any kind of reimbursement for the throttle body that was installed by them and have yet to return my call- a common courtesy. And by the way- I never once asked for the bill from dealership to be honored by Grays- I had asked for the warranty reimbursement they had given me. I am sure Grays response to this post will be dismissive- and I would not be surprised, as that is how they treated me. My community of friends and family will also not be returning to Grays.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an auto mechanic. I had my timing chain changed twice from them within a years time. The first experience was great the second time I took it to them they treated me in such a way I felt shamed to have brought it there. They took 9 days to fix my car. They put it in the bay then took it down because I took an hour to call them back because I was in class. They were rude to me the whole time and treated me like a second class customer. They tried to pin the blame on me as to why the timing chain broke with in a year. Timing chains should last 5 or 6. The worst part about it is that recently my chain went out again not even 6 months since I had it fixed by them again. At this point it should be covered in their warranty but I refuse to ever have to go through what I went through with them so I took it to a different shop. I dont feel Grays auto and tire deserves a 4 or 5 star rating because of their lack of customer service and quality of work. Buyer beware.

We were on vacation and as we got to Colorado Springs I noticed my AC was not cooling as it should. I asked our hotel clerks where I should go and they both recommended Grays. I went in early Friday morning and they immediately took a look and discovered evidence of a leak in the AC evaporator. They showed me what they were seeing and I know enough to know they were right. We had plans for that morning so they told me to go and come back later and that by then they would have the part. I was back by 1:00 and had my car by 3:00. Great people! Great service! If I lived in Colorado Springs, Grays would be my mechanic.

Im so happy my co-worker recommended this shop! I was having some big issues with my Bonneville struggling to go up hills and losing power and having intermittent electrical issues. I had brought my car to a different shop who kept it for 3 days and quoted me almost $900 to do what this shop ultimately did for $300. Naturally, I told the other shop I would get a second opinion and thus brought my Bonneville here the next day. The tech who worked on my car, Mike, called me before noon on the same day to update me on the progress and what conclusions they had come to. He did a great job in identifying the issue as a bad ICM and he genuinely inspected the rest of the car to be thorough. He also found that the spark plugs were fouled and the wires were corroded. Same day he replaced all three parts & now my beautiful 3800 engine purrs like a kitten. No problems whatsoever. I even asked to see the parts afterward and they gave them to me to inspect (trust issues haha) which I greatly appreciated as I could clearly see that the plugs and wires were in bad condition and did need to be replaced. Im very satisfied with the work this shop did and will definitely be returning as a customer in the future!

Had shocks replaced on vehicle and after picking it up I heard a rattle when pulling out of lot. When I took it back to have it looked over it felt as though they thought I was making it up. After checking it over they admitted the person installing shocks didnt do their job. If you like multiple trips for service and feeling like you were in the wrong for their error, this is your place.(Had they double checked their work or test driven to confirm work then I would have given a 5 star review. Instead I felt offended and was given little apologies other than from the girl at front desk when I picked up the vehicle the second time. Seemed like she wasnt new at the sorry face for shop errors)

Just got an engine replaced and my vehicle is coming out of their shop with additional issues it didnt go in with. I will recommend all my friends and family to NOT go here. I can not believe how dirty this shop is and how they can mess something up on your vehicle while it is in their possession and then expect you to pay to get it fixed.

Being a fairly new resident to the Colorado Springs area after moving here from Daytona Beach, FL. We were very leery of trying to seek out an honest, reliable, and cost effective garage to service our vehicles. Two weeks ago, I took our SUV to the dealership for an oil change and inspection. They completed everything and proceeded to tell me that our transmission was leaking just a little bit, but it was nothing to worry about, it was just cautionary and to keep an eye on it. Well, fortunately we made good friends with an employee at the dealership who told us about Grays last year. I called Grays and explained the transmission issue and the rear wheel bearing needed to be replaced. The gentleman was so kind on the phone and explained several different scenarios that it could be wrong and how to go about fixing them. He clearly knew what was wrong due to both issues being design flaws from the manufacturer but the NHTSA didnt feel like the Issues warranted issuing a RECALL. He gave me a price range of how much it could cost to repair each. He told me that once they were able to look at from underneath and on the rack, they would be able to pin point the issue and come back with a solid price. So, I made an appointment to stop by the next day to have it inspected ($35 charge that would be deducted from the cost of repairs). They did the inspection and found that the the dealership either didnt clean up after the oil change or they didnt tighten the filter entirely. They verified that the transmission need to be monitored but it didnt need to be repaired at this time. However, the wheel bearing was completely shot. They gave me a quote to replace the bearing. I scheduled for that to take place a week later. They were very efficient, they were beyond knowledgeable about the issues at hand. Thank you Grays staff for making this experience very easy and stress free.

Ive been buying tires and having my vehicles serviced at Grays for 30 years. Grays has done service on my cars from oil changes to major engine repairs always without a problem and at the price they quoted. I and cant imagine having my cars serviced anywhere else in spite of the fact that I live about as far from Grays as I can be and still be in Colorado Springs. Integrity and reliability are worth way more than a few miles.

Used to work for this place. Total dump hole inefficient equipment. Lifts are unsafe and shop is very dirty. Owner is a complete douchebag. Puts brake rotors on customer cars that are under spec. Witch completely unsafe. Do not take ur car here. Unless u want a half ass repair.

Went there for brake pad replacement and got them forcing and playing phone tag all day with them trying to up sale me with parts. Finally got to the end of the day when they told me my car wasnt going to be done. Had to wait until the next morning for something so simple that was done immediately the next day. It was scheduled to be in there at 8am and still wasnt done until the next day? Got it back car was unlocked and my tire looked worse then when it went in. Some how the tire was lower in pressure then it was when I brought it in and my tank was empty. The day I got my car back, i got a flat tire... coincidentally they told me it would be needing replaced? Dont go here. My tire held air when I went in.

I brought my car to Grays to replace my cracked radiator, while my car was in Grays someone stole the spring from my ash try and it no longer pops open as it should, and my radiator, was not replaced properly, it was leaking and smoking when I picked it up. I turned around and brought it right back, only to have their mechanics act as though I was stupid, trying to give me te run around and told me it was just steam. I told them no, check under the hood, they finally did and said oh yeah its leaking antifreeze, no apology what so ever for the rudeness or inconvenience, and because they were closing, they said come pick it up tomorrow it will be ready. The next morning they told me it would cost an additional $217 for a blown relay switch that was not turning on the cooling fan, which they just now realized was blown and that I probably needed a new fan as well which would be another $350, but they were not sure. This is after I paid almost $600 for a new radiator plus labor. When I checked my vehicle my fan was kicking on just fine, and they said the leak was fixed, so I took my car. I have had a continuous coolant leak and have notified Grays that this problem was never fixed a few times the staff at Grays have notified me that the parts are warrantied but the labor is not warrantied past 60 days so, I will have to pay the labor charges in order for them to fix their mistake, even though if it had been done right in the first place, there would be no need for me to bring it back for the same thing. I do not recommend this auto shop.

My girlfriend got her 96 Ford Windstar worked on here...The van ran OK it needed a new water pump and timing belt cover Grays installed the parts after two weeks of waiting they charged her 1,400$ dollars but,now her van dies when she stops at a light....Van never ran like that...Turns out they zip tied her air bypass switch because they said it was loose..Well it wasnt loose before...For what they charged you would think they would make sure the vehicle they worked on would also least be in running order...So,if you like crappy work done on your car then come to Grays Tire&Auto.
