I came here o a recommendation from someone else. I needed my transmission, both differentials, and the transfer case fluid changed. Brought my own fluid. They had no issues doing this for me. They wanted to drive the car to make sure it only needed a fluid change and not a full flush on the transmission.Called a few other places and they never called me back. These guys answered the phone and I had an appointment in a few days to do the work. Had an issue getting the transmission filter, but cant be mad that they had to find the correct part. Very nice people, they were a joy to have work on my Jeep grand Cherokee I will be back when I need more work done.

My car died on me couple of time while driving. I changed the battery but the issue didnt go away. My car was towed to FFAS. Mark was very accommodating. They get me in right away. The problem seemed to be the alternator. One was ordered and mounted. I left the shop and the same issue happen the next day. Brought the car back, Mark and his team found out that a defective alternator was delivered. A new one was installed and I never had that problem again! I appreciated that Mark and his team stood by their job and did the right thing. I definitely recommend FFSA to anybody. For the time I was there, I noticed all the customers, that walk in, came in and out with a smile. Thank you Founding Fathers Auto Service!

We had an emergency repair come up and were only 900 ft from Founding Fathers. We pulled in and they checked out our car right away. Within a few hours they had the needed parts and it was repaired. They provided a quick and reasonably priced repair. Their customer service was excellent as well! Highly recommend!

Founding Fathers is the only place i will go to for any repairs on any of my vehicles from now on. Not only did they repair a number of problems on my Silverado motor, but they also took me in without an appointment and finished it in less than a day! They made me feel V.I.P.! I’m very impressed with their customer service and their great work ethic! They did an exquisite job! If i could give them 10 stars i would! Oh and the best part of all they put a new serpentine belt for free of service because i needed one and we didn’t discuss it. BEST SERVICE AND BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!!!

Refreshingly HONEST and helpful! Founding Fathers was like going back in time many, many decades....you know, a time where the auto repair shop in town was trustworthy and service oriented. They did not fix my cars problem, BUT they could have. More importantly, they did take the time to find out what the problem was and they saved me a lot of time, energy, frustration and $$$. Ultimately, my cars issue was a recall issue and Founding Fathers quickly and professionally steered me in the right direction towards getting me back into my car. I came in Friday morning with a terrible chirping sound going on, plus noticed less power when accelerating. Mark and the team came out in force to assess the problem. Meanwhile I went to the office to relax. The problem turned out to be loose plugs from work done at a dealership in Mississippi! They tighten everything and said I was good to go...no charge! I was so happy with the quick diagnosis, repair and kindness that I started getting tearful. Told Mark that I couldn’t leave without paying something, which I did. You can’t beat Mark and his team for service. I didn’t have to come back and the fix was done in 20 minutes or less. Pleased and truly grateful! 😃

We’ve been going to founding fathers for years with all of our vehicles(Chevy silverado, Toyota Yaris, Honda Odyssey)They are professional, honest, and have great customer service. From oil changes to major repairs/ maintenance... This business is our choice!

Definitely overquoted me for services and I was able to find better prices (half of what they quoted) elsewhere, with quicker service. They also suggested replacing brake calipers for over $300 but on a second look by other mechanics realized that was completely unnecessary. After the diagnosis my car felt more janky than before (which they fixed right away, but I was disappointed by the fact that they didn’t notice this while giving me back my car). There are more reasonable (and available) places to get your car fixed in town.

Founding Fathers and Mark are great. I’ve trusted them for a couple of major repairs on my family’s Toyotas. They are always honest and are always able to quote me an accurate price before any work is actually done.

I had to bring my car in and Mark helped me with everything. My whole experience through and through was overwhelmingly positive. Mark helped me with my insurance and continuously called me to keep me up to date. Damon worked on my car and he seems to have done a wonderful job. I truly hope I never need car help again, but if I do I would be sure to come back here.

My electrical system was repaired in a timely manner. Towing and diagnostic charges were waived. My car is running great and highly recommend this business.

A friend suggested Founding Fathers when our Ford Expeditions timing belt came of the pulleys. We needed it fixed and took the chance. BAM! These guys were amazing. Not only technically savvy, but their customer service demeanor was exemplary. They didnt talk down to me or make unnecessary assumptions. They also showed us the main parts that failed and what they had to do for the repair. I geek out with that sort of help and knowledge.They did everything right to ensure I was up to speed with the repair, satisfied with the work, and pleased with a working vehicle again.

Not one of there Facebook posts is actually theres. It shows me that they dont know how to share there own wealth of knowledge, and can not properly educate their own customers without giving them somebody elses information.

I took my Jeep to FF to get serviced and have repairs done. I told them that when I put my Jeep in 4x4, it made a grinding noise. I also explained that it didnt affect non-4x4 use. After they did their check, we discussed replacing the drive shafts (both for $2000) so I told them I would take the vehicle home and make a decision. At no time did they tell me it wasnt drivable now. I left and immediately returned as the vehicle was now making noise and grinding all the time. We decided to have the drive shafts replaced and overall that visit cost me $2600+. When I went to pick it up, I noticed a vibration and took it back and took the mechanic for a ride and he stated that was normal. I drove it for a few weeks and took it back and was told the same thing except this time they charged me another $160 and it still vibrated. I took it to another Jeep repair shop and they told me the rear drive shaft needed a controller arm to stabilize and that the drive shafts were no longer the original. The last time I talked to Mark the office manager, he told me that they never test drove my vehicle when I picked it up the first time and had no idea that it was a safety hazard. I requested to have FF owner call me and he never has called. I will never use this business again. If I could give them a 0, I would.

Best service we have EVER had. My husband and I came in with no heat or ac in our car, left happy with money still in our pocket and heat. I can not say enough good things about this shop! I have known Founding Fathers since the eighties, introduced to me by a friend as being the only garage to take my car to. I started having my little Oldsmobile serviced there and I was never disappointed. In more recent years an unfortunate event brought me back to this service station when my wind shield wiper fell off the window in the midst of torrential rain. The young man at the desk left everything and he went out to buy a wiper for my car and had it installed right away. From that time on, I have been going to Founding Fathers for any services my 2006 Toyota Highlander needed. These people are honest, professional and I can vouch for their workmanship. In addition, they will never repair anything unnecessarily unless they call you first. I would recommend their work ethic to anyone.

I had an electronic problem with my car. I was able to order the part and replace it myself, but the dealership wanted $500 to reset the computer. I took my car to three separate shops and called many others and no one had the ability to do it.I tried founding fathers Auto and the guy had my car running great within 10 minutes and only charged me $20. Great alternative to the dealer for things like this since he has high-end electronic tools that many shops do not.

I called Founding Fathers Auto Service looking for advice about a light that kept coming on. They had a spot open and told me to bring my car down and they would take a look. They did a diagnostic test and found out what the problem was. I left my car at their shop to be worked on and they gave me a ride home and then picked me up when the work was completed. The owner, Mark and the mechanics who work there, are very knowledgeable and friendly. The work is done quickly and the charges are very reasonable. I am very happy with how my car is running and will continue to take it to Founding Fathers Auto Service.

This place was a rip off! My daughter was driving in Colorado springs and she thought her water pump was going out they told her it would be a minimum of 800$ for 95 Honda Civic. Then they proceed to tell her they think she bent a rod and it would be 1000s more..for. 95 Honda Civic.. turns out she blew a radiator hose and her coolant tank was clogged up. She was 10 hours from home and 8 months pregnant. They were completely taking advantage of her! DO NOT GO HERE FOR REPAIRS! Scam artist completely!

Needed a rear main seal. They talked me into replacement of the transmission seal why it was apart. Yet it never leaked. But why not right? No extra labor.Within 2 months the transmission seal blew completely out. I bring it back. Now they tell me they said they told me they had said to rebuild my transmission on the first trip. In fact they said how great my truck ran for its age and they had trouble getting that seal in. They replaced the seal with a bit of an argument and here I am 200 miles later with a transmission spewing fluid from the seal they replaced twice. No guarantee this time of course. If they never would have messed with what wasnt broke I would have a good running truck. Long story short $1200 and my truck is dead from them fixing what wasnt broken to start with. Its an old truck but I wouldnt be mad if they wouldnt have said I should have fixed something that wasnt needed. They went from great old truck to we said it needed rebuilt. Nothing but lies out of them. Ask them about how they broke my trailer when towing it. They did weld that back together however with no charge. Take your car here get ready for the run around and the excuses. Have them write every thing down because they will lie when you have problems.Update I received a phone call from the owner. He was very polite and explained there was a bigger problem and they should have either explained that more work was needed or explained that the repair was not going to fix the problem. He has offered to make it right with me in the future.

Founding Fathers is truly a great shop! We were given a recommendation to go to them from a friend of mine who is a mechanic, but can no longer work. 2 years and 30,000 miles later, we have had an extensive amount of work done through them and they always do an excellent job. I love that they will give you the real low-down on your car- no trying to tell you that 8 million things need replaced RIGHT NOW, like most other auto shops I have been to. G is always so friendly and helpful and NEVER tries to get more money than needed for what needs done. I would recommend them 100%. I will never take my car to another shop again!

These guys are fantastic! Very knowledgeable and incredibly nice. I came in with some brake issues. They informed me the rear brakes were completely worn and it was unsafe to drive. At the time I had my 2 year old boy with me. It was a $400 repair and they offered to take care of everything for me! Made my day, and my week. I will definitely be going back to them for all my future repairs. It is auto repair shops like this that make me regain faith in humanity.

I took my wifes mercedes there to have them look at the heating system. as soon as i walked thru the door the owner came right out and had his guy come out and hook the computer to the car for about an hour to check all systems and told me all it needed was a thermostat. so i had them fix that plus change the oil. i was VERY surprised when the total bill was only 260 dollars. everybody else in town that works on mercedes wanted 300 just to diagnose the problem.I highly recommend Mark the owner and crew for all your automobile problems.ps Marks wife i cant remember her name but she was very pleasant and took me to my doctors appt and came and picked me up. Took the mini in for check engine light. FF was able to diagnose and correct the issue very quickly. And reasonably. Fun shop; warm geniune people and I do believe they try their best. Give them a shot.

This was my go to shop until they hired some rip off artists. I took my Durango in for a check engine light and the told me I would need a new battery before they could diagnose the issue.. hmm and it would cost $375. It’s a year later and I still have the same battery, and have had work done at other shops with no mention of a battery issue.. previously I had taken my wife’s car in because the water pump was leaking.. the quote for that and other issues was $2500.. I had them do the water pump because it was urgent.. the cost was higher than other quotes, but at this point I trusted them. It’s a year later and I just had my water pump replaced again.. the shop said the pump that was in there was refurbished garbage. Very disappointed in Founding Fathers.. what happened to the trustworthy shop it used to be?

I started getting an engine light, then the car started missing badly. I needed the car repaired as soon as possible. Founding Fathers got the car in right away and serviced it. The car is running better than it has in a long, long time. Great people to work with.

I took my 04 Subaru in to this place last week and just had an overall great experience. G was very nice when I scheduled my appointment (I was able to drop my car off the night prior to have it looked at first thing in the morning) Not only were they fast but I felt like they were honest with me. They had my radiator replaced in no-time and even fixed a fuel line that was leaking that I had no idea was there! They were fast, friendly, and I felt like they were very honest with me as a customer.

I dont even know how to begin to warn people about the incompetence of this shady mechanic. We took our RAV4 to them for cold stalling and they swore it was the water pump and timing belt. After $1,200 it still had the same problem. So we took it to the Toyota dealer and it turned out to be the fuel pump and fuel regulator. They absolutely dont know what theyre doing! Then, the new water pump they just installed went bad and started leaking, so we were forced to take it back to them, because it was under warranty. They did the repair just before we were to travel across country, as we were moving to Pennsylvania, and they knew this. We got to Indiana and the car broke down, leaving us in a freezing cold parking lot for 14 hours on Thanksgiving weekend. When we were finally able to have it towed to the local Toyota dealer, we were told the water pump was leaking once again, and the bolts had been only hand tightened, so several of them just fell off on the highway. The remaining bolts, all but one, were sheered off, leaving the serpentine belt flapping in the breeze. The skid plate, which they had no reason to remove, was missing completely and all the bolts were sheered off of that, as well. Toyota had to bore out the holes and then re-thread them in order to replace the missing bolts and the skid plate. Then they had to re-seal the water pump. I believe they did this to us deliberately, knowing we were leaving the state. They are either deliberately malicious, or just completely and utterly incompetent. Leon and Richard were the mechanics. We could have died that night from exposure. THESE PEOPLE WILL DO DANGEROUS THINGS TO YOUR CAR. THEYRE INCOMPETENT CON ARTISTS AND WILL TAKE YOU FOR EVERY PENNY YOU HAVE. STAY AWAY!!!

This is actually a NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!!!This is also a warning to stay far away from this place and the terrible people that work there. The owner is a two faced liar and the mechanics that work there cant fix anything. They are completely clueless and ignorant about vehicles. When they supposedly are repairing your car all they do is keep the same parts in it or get used ones and charge you for new ones. They also release your vehicle and then call the cops saying you stole your own car. They are great scam artists and will take your money and laugh in your face knowing there is absolutely nothing you can do because you will be arrested and go to jail. Its sad when you cant trust people but please its worth paying more money to get your car fixed elsewhere than go there. I will definitely try to warn as many people as possible so they can actually get their cars repaired and and not be lied to and be part of their scam. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS.

My Sister in law recommended these guys. I usually work on my vehicles because I trust mechanics about as much as I trust politicians..but I have had several vehicles worked on by them knowing generally myself what the problem was. They never tried smoozing me over like a lot of other shops I took my k5 Blazer to a different shop that my girlfriend recommended because she new a guy that worked there and they ended up not fixing the problem and charged me $400 for a basic tune-up. Only problem with that is that I had already done a tune up.. They ended up putting less quality parts on than what I had just put on and when I asked for the parts back they had already thrown them out (more likely kept them for personal use) I dont plan on deviating from them again....Power to the People...

Just had some work done on my car and I thought I would have to shell out hundreds of dollars for the repair. My battery kept draining and so I had the battery replaced then the alternator at another shop thinking ( is what the other shop recommended to do) that would fix it, but it didnt. My battery was draining still...fed up with the other shop I decided to take find myself another shop. And founding fathers was the spot I chose...and Im glad I did... turns out the seat adjuster on my passenger seat was stuck in the back position and kept draining my battery because it was always on trying to move back... I had already spent so much money on trying to figure it out I was glad I only had to pay for the diagnosis...whew ... thought I was going to be out some major coin but these guys were super smart and fixed my issue and didnt make me buy a new battery and alternator like the other shop for a stuck switch... could of been worse but it wasnt and they didnt make it out to be worse either... SAVE YOUR SELF THE HEADACHE AND COME HERE FIRST... I know where Im going from now on... GREAT JOB GUYS AND THANKS A BUNCH!!!!

My sons truck wouldnt start and we towed it (ourselves) it to this business. I had had questionable work done with them before so I was hesitant but they were close so I took it there. BIG MISTAKE. Long story short..the next day the owner tells me that it is the battery and the starter. To do the work needed it would be $800-900. I didnt trust them so I told them not to touch it and would come and pick it up. When I got there the owner and I had words and he said he wouldnt take any form of payment from me other than cash. Eventually he just gave me the keys and told me to leave (he did not charge me for looking at it). We towed it ourselves and JUST replaced the battery. Works just fine. So, long story short, they wanted to do work that wasnt needed. Had I stuck with them it would have been a $700 mistake. He told me not to come back... Ha ha--dont worry, I wont and I will tell everyone I know not to go either. They are exactly why mechanics get a bad reputation.

I just moved from Texas and needed an honest trustworthy mechanic I took my vw beetle to founding fathers and was given a very honest estimate Im a single mother and they could have charged me so much more then they did Im very happy with their customer service as well very family friendly I will forever bring my beetle or any other car I get here

I took my vehicle to Founding Fathers to have an Air/Fuel sensor checked. They told me that these can go off at times for other reasons and they would take a look at it for free. I don’t remember the problem exactly, but they said the only effect it would have on my vehicle was lower gas mileage and if that didn’t bother me, no work would need to be done(I had just gotten back from Amarillo, Tx on one tank of gas so I wasn’t too concerned about that). I also needed new tires desperately but planned on going to Walmart for cheap ones to keep me going for a little longer. Founding Fathers price matched Walmart’s cheap tires for what I can only assume are better quality, more expensive ones and gave me tips on how to get the max mileage from my tires. I will definitely be returning for all future work!

I had my 04 Kia towed to Founding Fathers due to it not starting and a check engine light. I was told I needed to have my Cat replaced. Founding Fathers jumped right on my car to find out what was going on. They found out it wasnt going to be as bad as replacing the Cat but it was still pretty bad. Gas in the oil flooded ect. They had my car ready for me the next day and I was able to drive it home from work. It runs better than it ever has since I bought the car. They are truly amazing! They will always have my business and I will promote them until I cant promote them anymore! BEST PLACE TO GO!

Superb service. I brought my 15-passenger van in to have them give a second opinion I had received from another service station. The original diagnosis called for a complete engine overhaul or replacement, with an estimated cost of $5000. It turned out to be a case of a couple of distributor wires going to the wrong cylinders. Not only did the mechanics at Founding Fathers correct the problem, but they did it at no charge, thus saving me a whopping bill for a repair I didnt need. I would absolutely trust these guys with all my service needs in the future, and dont mind refering them to anyone who would care to hear.

I have been going there for years, not anymore. I went in for a simple Oil Change and 2 hours later my radiator was leaking. The Hispanic gentleman that worked on my vehicle had no idea how to open the hood nor could he locate anything in the engine either. When I returned to have the Manager look at my leak that I believed was caused by his employee he was displeased I came back and expected my vehicle looked at all. I do believe this was an added effort to generate revenue and could see this was the case by the look on his face.
