I love the teaching style Tutorjohn provides, I come in struggling and leave feeling confident in my classes and the prices are amazing! The people there are extremely friendly and I will continue to go there until I graduate but I highly recommend going here :)

Tutor John is a great resource for serving Stat 302. He teaches with the assumption that you know nothing which makes his lectures easy to follow. It may seem like his sessions are expensive but, after attending exam review sessions for the first two exams and the final, the amount of money you pay is comparable to other tutoring services in town. Additionally, there are always buckets of candy on the tables and John is entertaining while still being an effective tutor. I would recommend Tutor John to all my friends taking Stat 302.

I go to tutor john for every physics exam review. John is a lifesaver and a gradesaver! He explains everything so clearly, but yet so in depth. He prepares me for every test better than my professor. He goes above and beyond than any tutoring place in College Station. He makes videos and sends emails on information he feels he did not cover enough. He truly cares for everyone that he teaches.

I have used Tutor John for several classes at A&M and honestly has made a world of difference. It is extremely irritating that even after thousands of dollars of tuition that I need to pay even more money BUT that isnt going to change and thankfully Tutor John knows that. They are extremely fair with pricing and I have been in SEVERAL sessions where we are charged for LESS time than the tutor session actually lasted. I have been to 4.0 and the difference is extreme. 4.0 you typically attend a two part 4 hours each test review. Tutor John? One typically two-three hour test review. Is there less material? Nope. They just dont milk college students for every penny possible. They keep all material to a bare minimum and in simplest terms making it easy to follow along. The best part is the experience John and Chris have. They know the professors and class material like the back of their hand. They have been my go to tutor aka life savor for the past 3 years and I would recommend them over and over again.

I absolutely love going to tutor john! The way he thoroughly explains and relates the topics he teaches is so helpful. Since attending his Tutoring my grade in my math class has significantly increased. He uses relatable references that stick with you and help you remember how to solve certain problems. 10/10 would recommend trying it out if youve never gone.

John is a very intelligent person who runs a highly successful business. He and his staff are very welcoming and strive to provide a great experience. Most of my tutoring experience has been directly with John for Statistics, his knowledge about the subject is impressive and is very assuring that hell be able to help. I’m giving this place 2 stars rather than 1, only because the tutor I had, Tutor John himself, knows what hes talking about. He’s obviously experienced and extremely knowledgeable. HOWEVER, IT IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. One four hour test review session was 50 bucks total, whereas 4.0 and and A Plus charge about 150 bucks for an entire semester’s worth of two hour sessions (like 4 or 5 sessions for each test). I’ve used both of these other two services for classes and got As thanks to their help. They claim that their ridiculous prices are due to smaller class sizes, thus more individual attention. However, the class sizes are comparable to other services in town, plus the class size doesn’t necessarily matter unless you feel like you really need a private tutor, which is a whole other ballgame. If you went to ALL of the sessions for a single class at this place you would be spending hundreds more than the other guys (depending on the class) And who has the attention span for a 4 HOUR session anyway? They DO NOT have season passes here, so BUYER BEWARE! Again, I suppose if you have the money and and you really want a private tutor then this is the place for you. However, if you’re just an every day student with a budget, or just price conscious, then their other services in town are the same if not better than Tutor John. THEY ARE ALSO ALL CHEAPER in the long run.P.S. Tutor John is also extremely political, and will rant to you about his conservative politics while teaching you.

BEST TUTOR IVE EVER HAD FOR MATH. John is hilarious, respectful, and genuinely cares about his students. He teaches the easiest possible way to do problems and doesnt make you learn pointless information. He finishes the lesson even if we run out of time and doesnt charge extra. My grades were great compared to other students that didnt go to tutor john. He makes learning calculus enjoyable and thats saying a lot because lets be real, calculus SUCKS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO HERE FOR HELP!!

Tutor John has definitely been a life saver for me! STAT 302 is my poison out of all my college courses. Without Tutor Johns Exam Review Sessions, I would be completely lost on all my exams. I also attend the Homework Sessions, which allow you to complete homework in a time efficient manner. What would take hours and hours doing the assignments yourself, could take an hour or less and end up with 100%. I will definitely keep going to Tutor John for any and all math courses! Ive been going to Tutor John this entire semester for Statistics 302. Tutor John actually is the one who instructs the lessons, which is cool. The fact that he makes reviews from all the most likely questions on the test from over the years, and goes over every single problem making sure you understand it.2. Tutor John is excellent! John is a really nice guy who knows his stuff. He has been really helpful especially for STAT 302. Hes very good at explaining everything and he doesnt insult you or treat you like youre dumb. He answers every question and he doesnt cut corners. His pricing is fair and he wont cheat you on time. If he makes a mistake on anything hell correct himself, and out of fairness, sometimes hell even lower test review prices to his regular session rate. Hell even stay after to make sure all questions are answered. That means that if him staying late for another class cuts into your classs tutoring time, hell make up the time and youll still get a full session. Go to tutor john if you actually want to LEARN material. John is incredibly knoledgable and will actually teach you the material instead of showing you a quick and dirty way to memorize facts for a test. His test review sessions are long, but very thorough and worth every penny. He is always open to questions and never glosses over something because time is running out, he will always stay late and finish the review if needed. Even if class runs late he does not charge you for extra time, this makes the review sessions seem much less rushed. I couldnt reccomend him more for physics tutoring.

Ive never been one to use tutoring services in college because most did not end up helping me like A+ or 4.0. This one is the sole reason I will pass Finance. There is no way that I would be getting through STAT 302 as well as I am without Tutor John. I pretty much stopped paying attention in class (dont recommend doing) but have been through a lot of personal things this semester that have caused me to miss a lot of school. I started going here because of a recommendation from a friend and after drilling the test review practice problems over and over and over again and memorizing the general way of how to work out each problem, making the best cheat sheet in the world from his cheat sheets, I have come out with 85s on both exams from the hardest professor out there. It IS possible to do well in STAT 302 but, IMO, only through the help of Tutor John! Some of the test reviews feel like they drag on forever but I write down all of the material even when I feel like I cant take it anymore and go back later to look at it. How easy his notes are to follow and the flow charts are 100% what let me get such a good grade on the second exam. Tutor John simplifies which formula to use and how to know when to use it SO much. Tutor John is such a good, hardworking man. He is excellent at keeping the classs attention, tells personal stories to let our brains chill out for a minute, and also gives a lot of examples to help solidify the information into our heads. He loves his family and cares about his staff so much. I wish I would have started going here earlier!

I can tell that tutor John is very intelligent and he was helpful. But I also can see that he wastes a lot of time with personal opinions that I don’t really care to know. I can go to ONE group or individual review here, and it means the difference between miserably failing a test and getting an A... seriously. John and Sam are phenominal, in private sessions they cater to what you need, are efficient and use every second on your time, and teach you in an easy-to-understand way! They won’t waste time explaining anything that isn’t important, and will teach you how to solve problems in the simplest possible way. If you’re in statistics or math, go here and they will program your calculator for you, which lets you solve problems without doing any math- all you do is type the numbers into the calculator and it spits out the answer! Be warned, they are pricey, but absolutely 100% worth every penny!

I could not have done 7 semesters of math, let alone have gotten an AS in Math, OR done it with a 3.9 GPA, OR done it as a non-traditional student in her late 40s, without Tutor John. He teaches straight to the syllabus, knows ALL the different quirks of every single professor, and has a supernatural knack for presenting material in a way that guarantees you will learn. Even if you think youre a total math bonehead - and trust me, thats where I was my whole life, and it doesnt improve with age - you WILL get it AND do very well grade-wise.

I had went to TutorJohn for Physics 202 at TAMU, and he was extremely helpful! John goes over several example problems and helps you understand the steps to derive the correct solution, would totally recommend if youre having issues with physics!
