Hey I’m trying to save anyone trying to use these people! DONT USE THESE PEOPLE! THE Guy that answers the phone is extremely rude. 700$ for an hour and a 1/2? And also they don’t answer you when you need help??? I told the guy I’m a proud Veteran just got out the army and would love to have the best of help. I severed this country for 4 years which I honestly after I said that he got very rude with me. 100% sure this guy/ company has a thing against the US military. DONT USE THESE PEOPLE! Absolutely rude/ horrible customer service! They HATE VETERANS!

These tutors really helped me out in my agec 105 class that I have been struggling with. Very professional 10/10 would recommend.

Tutoring for a church on Wednesdays through this was a great opportunity for me to meet new people and help out my community. I thoroughly enjoyed helping others with their school work when I could, and I am really glad I did it!

Tutoring through 99Tutors at the College Hill Baptist this fall was a great experience. The staff at the church and the children always had a good attitude and being able to help lower-income children succeed in their studies is always a plus.

For one, they are overpriced. The tutors who helped me were good, but there is no business here besides taking your money. When the pandemic hit, I was forced to drop a physics class I was in tutoring for because there was no way I was going to do well online. I asked for a refund of my remaining $200 and change and I have yet to receive it. They keep using the excuse that the office is working on reduced manpower and hours, but its been over a year. There is no excuse for this lack of customer care. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS.

If youre worried about accidentally paying for too many tutoring hours- THEN DONT GO HERE- They WILL NOT give you a refund, even though their website says that they will if you follow the refund instructions.My mom had purchased $500 worth of tutoring hours for me that I had ended up never needing. On the website it says that you are able to receive a full refund if you write a hand written note explaining why, and mail it to their office. I did everything as instructed, and its been since August that I have not received a refund, ON TOP of the fact that theyve stopped responding to my emails entirely. I have taken screenshots of these emails for proof, and it is frustrating that Ive had to go to these lengths.

Since the first day, the staff has always been in constant communication with me checking in on how things are going and if I need help. When I find a student I would like to tutor, they send over the contact information immediately and are also fast to respond to the confirmations so we can start tutoring immediately. The students I have tutored and contacted so far always respond quickly and are punctual in their meeting times and the locations. Even with the COVID-19 changes in how we can meet, we are still able to meet safely in person and I do not feel at harm at all.

This approach makes the tutors more relatable, and as a result, more capable of tutoring. Overall, this system is great for students and those who want to tutor.

Very easy to setup and get started! Would recommend especially since they hire people who are colleged aged students! This allows for better tutoring to take place in my opinion !

I like the experience as a tutor. It is easy to find the right type of students in your field of expertise. The students are very polite and I enjoy working with them.

David is a phenomenal tutor! He is very caring in regards to wanting his students to succeed. David also made sure to remain on task through the session and encourage me when I felt confused or frustrated with the subject we were studying. I highly recommend working with 99tutors because they will give you a tutor who is passionate about their job and will work hard with you to be successful in ones studies.

So far so good, Im a tutor and the service so far seen very professional. My students have gone from failing classes to being a consistant B or A student in just a few sessions.

I don`t know about the other bad services, but i had a very pleasurable time with 99tutors! My tutors were very knowledgeable and we even became friends! The price was reasonable and the owner was straightforward and clear with the expectations. I will definitely come back if I need tutoring again.

Do NOT work for them! My husband has not been paid in months. He tutored several students and waited very patiently for his payment, but has not received any further action on their part. He’s called and emailed (being professional and polite), but they disregarded his case. They keep using the same excuse, and frankly, they handle the calls in an unprofessional manner. Although they seem to provide help for students, they practically scam their tutors to work for them and then don’t pay them for their hard dedication. Do not recommend them!

This company is run by a lone quack who Im guessing is not doing well financially, judging by how upset he got when I attempted to quit my job as a tutor. But you should still work here and the reasons why have everything to do with the brilliant mogul running 99 tutors, your dream company: heres some of his top most inspiring moments (boy was it hard to narrow it down)!1. He is a man of mystery: Does not like to disclose salary details up front. Gets defensive when you ask! Just like every other good career opportunity ever!2. A master storyteller: Enjoys making up weird and awkward analogies that make no sense. For example, I said I didnt think working there would be a good fit for me because I wanted more money than what I think he may have been offering, and he became irate and ranted for several minutes about lawnmowers at Walmart. Dream employer!3. Knows how to be stern: Will threaten to call the association of former students if you try to quit! Still not quite sure what he thought they were gonna do, but I sure was quaking in my boots!4. Knows how to remind you about things you forgot: If you do go through with trying to quit, despite having never signed a godforsaken thing, he might quip, This phone call is being recorded and try to suggest hes going to sue. Thank goodness I had him around to remind me that indentured servitude is legal. Id forget my head if it wasnt attached!💁🏽

The guy who tutor me here was very easy to understand and learn from. This place helped me get through chemistry and math. Definitely try this place out!

I did tutoring for a 4-week summer chemistry course and ended up with a 96.37%!! The results really do show! I highly recommend 99 Tutors because the tutors are personable and great at teaching subjects that are difficult.

You get to interview your tutor to make sure that you like them and that they can work with your schedule. This is what made it the right choice for me. You can meet your tutor on campus or at a coffee shop or the library which is great for students living on campus.

I just want to WARN YOU ALL about this very sketchy company; if I could give 0 stars I would! I found out about 99Tutors through Texas A&M advertising and student reviews. When I wanted a refund for honestly not feeling that the tutoring was helping, I was tricked into a long process for a refund that still has not been resolved after four months. First I had to send a written request for why I wanted a refund, which is a very weird thing to ask a customer to write instead of having the company take the effort to call and find out the reason. The amount I paid was no small sum and I was not experienced enough to catch the red flags that popped up. 99Tutors location in college station is not even a real office space; once I expressed my need for a refund, the company CUT OFF ALMOST ALL CONTACT via phone and email with occasional short responses after I senT strong-worded emails. This is a tutoring service that should NOT BE TRUSTED AT ALL, and is most probably a sham company trying to make money off students who are willing to pay for help in school. Please please please do not pay for tutoring with 99Tutors!! They will not be honest when it comes to their business dealings. The least they can do at this point is just give my money back!!So now in response to the owner who has finally messaged back July 18th: Can I have a working phone number and email address? I dont want to discuss the payment details over google review because that is just unprofessional on your part. I have all the receipts and proof of emails showing communication with tutors and the company so please do not try and deny that you have me in the records. Like I said, please give me a WORKING number that I can call back and settle things,otherwise I am going to file this as a fraud case with the College station police.

This company is literally a piece of garbage. Private tutoring charges run from $30 to $45, but you will only be paid around $10 an hour. It would be less infuriating if the employer was up front with how much you would be paid. You only discover your pay when the first check rolls in. Moreover, he is very unprofessional, threatening, and manipulative. If you are looking to tutor, you are much better in starting your own tutoring services for $25 an hour. Yes, there is always the challenge of finding clients. But, good luck getting some with 99 Tutors, as they have many unfortunate college student employees grabbing at every tutoring opportunity available, leaving few for you to find.If you are looking for a quality tutoring service, you sadly will not find it here. They literally hire anyone that says they want to tutor with no screening or method for determining their qualifications. You can find the same quality in tutoring in a university Facebook group for much less.With an F rating from the Better Business Bureau and a 2.1 star rating from Glassdoor, I advise you to avoid this business both for employment opportunities and for tutoring services.1/10. Would not recommend.

Straight up fradulent. My fiancée has tutored several students for them. A couple months later, and she hasnt received a single cent in pay. Its funny how every negative review is countered by you arent in our system. Right. Because your system is literally just sending e-mails back and forth to set up details. There is no system. One positive thing, the students do seem to actually get tutors. Sure, they are provided by fradulent means, but the students at least get something out of it. Too bad they dont know that their tutors are being ripped off in the process.

I highly recommend that you use an alternate tutoring service. This one is run by a bunch of thieves. Requested a refund in October of 2015 and have yet to receive it (now July 2016). Tutors were terrible. If you see a review above 2 stars on any website you look on, its safe to assume that its fake. My experience with them is the norm, not the exception.

As a tutor, I had a very bad experience with 99Tutors. I really enjoyed the actual tutoring portion, and had a great experience with the student that I helped with math, but my experience with the company was less than stellar. I submitted my report to be paid, but did not receive payment. I followed up two times with them to inquire when I would receive payment, resubmitted the report that I had already given to them, and always received vague answers to my questions (riddled with poor grammar and missing words, which shows you their level of engagement). After the third time, and having resubmitted the report, again, they are now providing payment. Overall, it was handled very incompetently, so I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

This company is extremely unprofessional and poorly managed. Many of my students have complained about the time it takes to get in touch with a tutor (if they get one at all). Furthermore, many of the students I worked with complained about not being able to get refunds for unused hours/service, and it is extremely difficult to get in touch with the owner. Additionally, the contracted tutors are mistreated anytime a customer has a complaint about the management. I do NOT recommend using this service. Find a friend to help or go to a tutoring service that provides the tutor as you pay, not the promise of being put in contact with one later because later may never come!

99Tutors is a phenomenal source of supplementary help. For those particular college classes that seem to give the most trouble, 99Tutors has tutors who have taken the course and made As in them. The benefit of this is that you not only get the information you need, but you also get test-taking skills and first-hand advice on how to approach certain topics. For those who arent sure if their study habits are up to par or anyone who just wants to make the highest grade possible, 99Tutors is the right place for you!

After being stuck and lost, I had no clue what was going on in my class. 99Tutors, were tremendously kind and completely eradicated any confusion I had about the class. Thanks again 99Tutors! :) (Class was PSYC 107)

THIS TUTORING SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. If i was able to leave a review with no stars that’s what I would be doing. Not to mention this place is incredible unprofessional, slow, and extremely hard to get ahold of. Don’t think that you’ll just be able to go into their “office”to get ahold of them it’s just a run down apartment building that’s in the middle of north gate or at least that’s where my and everyone’s else’s GPS that I used was taking me. After paying the EXTRA amount to be in contact with a tutor soon. IT WAS OVER A WEEK before I was emailed anything and at that point it was to leave a review for the “services” that I hadn’t even received or heard anything back from. After having to send the company multiple emails and having my mom also even step in to see if this company somehow scammed me out of 265 dollars. They got back saying that the tutor had to cancel. Over 2 weeks with no communication after paying and they are extremely unprofessional when emailing me about when I’ll finally be able to get in touch with a tutor. Overall this experience was terrible and I’ll be glad to get my refund which they were also VERY RUDE about.
