Loved this place! My first experience with “boy hair cuts,” and they made me feel so comfortable! Kevin did an amazing job cutting my 11-month old son’s hair. They had a booster seat, a fun little cape for him, and were so patient and even gave him his own comb to “help.” On top of that, the cut looked great... I don’t know how he did it with all the wiggling and looking around, but I was very impressed. Will definitely be bringing my son back here for future cuts.

I am new to College Station and needed to get a haircut so I decided to try this place out. Emilie cut my hair and did an excellent job, I will definitely be coming back and asking for her next time around. The service was also very quick, I was in and out in probably 20 minutes.

This is the gem of College Station for mens and boys haircuts. Gilbert Acosta was the barber who, like an artist, transformed my scruffy nephews head into the style that suited him. Quick and to the point with fabulous results. Gilbert seemed to really enjoys what he does and it shows. This will be the number 1 spot to take my boys for cuts. I have to say in general the whole staff were kind and courteous. Thank you so much!

Got the best haircut Ive ever had here today. The price was somewhat high for my standards, but thats probably because I get my hair cut for $6.99 when Im back home. You definitely get what you pay for. I think my barbers name was Emily? Ive been here 3 separate times and had a different barber each time, Im sure you cant go wrong with any of them.

This was my first time there and I was lucky to get Gilbert Acosta! I have to say he may be the best barber in College Station! I was amazed on when he told me that he had 55 years of experience with cutting hair. I will definitely be back!

I have been here twice now and plan to continue to come to their shop for as long as I am here in College Station. Both times I have been in the shop, I have had superb haircuts and stellar customer service. Gilbert Acosta cut my hair my most recent trip and he did an excellent job. He is extremely personable and has a unique story so if he cuts your hair you should really get to know him. Long story short, the staff and owner are all top quality people that run an excellent and clean business model.

Just got a haircut from Gilnert, I asked for 3 on the side 5 on top of his recommendation and ended up going with his recommendation and I am very glad I did. Haircut Turned out very excellent. Will be back anytime I’m in College Station visiting the Parents!

Excellent local barbershop. If you can get an appointment with Leonard, Id say go with him because he does old school cuts very well. Cuts the top with a straight razor and comb which seems to make the cut last a bit longer, and straight razor clean up around the ears and in the back. Leonard knows his stuff, so check him out!

Excellent and courteous service. Ive had my haircut by 5 different barbers theres and they so do an outstanding job. Like a true barber shop they use hot leather and a straight blade for the neck at the end.

First time there. Brings back nostalgic memories of going to the barber shop when I was a kid. Went in for a haircut and more importantly to find someone with experience in beard trimming. Met Theresa there and told her what I was kinda looking for. She performed a knock out haircut and did a wonder with my birds nest of a beard. I was very impressed and plan on visiting more often. Highly recommend you go there and see her!!!!

Ive been getting my hair cut here for several years (5+) and have found the service, wait and quality to be as good or better than any Ive had. Melissa took over a couple years ago and has continued to be meticulous, friendly and very helpful. My hair has never been easy, but she has tolerated me and every weird hair.

Good hair cuts, old fashion style barber shop that delivers the same old fashion quality.. theres a older man that works there named Cecil he trimmed my neck with a straight razor and the hair didnt grow back for almost a month. High quality and real bang for your buck

I tried to give this place a shot and not stereotype.... staff very friendly nice but talent wise in cutting hair 👎🏽 even Ray Charles would be able to see the line in my “fade” as soon as I walked in my gut told me Noooo!!! It was way to bright in there. I read all these reviews on how good this place was not looking at the ppl writing the reviews 🤦🏽‍♂️ my mistake I’ll take this L. Good thing I was just visiting next time I think I’ll try Mike’s Barber shop. The lady that cut my hair was elderly in the way back not good she was nice and respectful but can’t cut I left looking like a child moving around fighting my barber but funny thing I wasn’t.

Old fashioned barber shop for basic haircuts. Id put 5 stars, but for newer styles of haircuts and fades not so much. Barbers seem experienced but you notice a struggle in this regard. If you dont mind too much how your hairs cut, well its not bad but alright.

These guys always leave me looking my best, which is not that easy to do considering the canvas... I keep coming back, because I always walk away looking sharp and feeling like a million bucks.

I say, I say, I say - youre doing it all wrong if you dont get your hair cut here. If you want a classic barber shop, this is the best in the BCS area. You wont need any Lysol on your head after you leave either, very clean. I got the luck of the draw with Melissa today, but dont be shy to Kim or Cecil either. All three are great.

I would love to give this barbershop 5 stars, but after my last haircut I had to write a review. First off, Ive been going here for the last year and change. Their barbers have always been courteous and in fact one of the top 5 best haircuts Ive ever had in my life was here. However, the last two visits were some of the worst haircuts Ive had in my life. The last one I had to ask the barber to fix it twice. The fade looked like someone had been wacking away at my head with a weedcutter. I finally acquiesced because I had places to be, had been sitting in the chair for at least half an hour and was worried the barber would make it worse. I always leave a tip but made sure not to this time. I could tell the barber was getting exasperated, but maybe dont work in a barber shop if you cant do a simple fade. Most of their barbers are absolutely awesome at their jobs, but several have been not so good. Now I have to find another barber to fix the botched fade. Im bad with remembering names, but try to see who gives good haircuts there and stick with them.Edit: I spoke with Melissa and she helped me reach a satisfactory resolution. I plan on coming back here next time Im in town and need a haircut. Thank you Melissa!

Leonard has been cutting my hair for most of my adult life. He and his barbers provide excellent service in a friendly atmosphere at a reasonable price. I highly recommend his shop and will not go anywhere else for a haircut.

I could only afford to get one hair cut, and they cut the other hairs for the same price. Ok, enough with the jokes. Best barber shop in BCS, good price, and way better than those national chain places. Theyll even shave your neck with an actual blade. Ive been happy with the service from Kim, Cecil, and Melissa and would recommend any of those three.

Update:Just checked to update and see if there was any owner response. Wanted to clarify a few things. Id like to clarify that I am not trying to slander this particular this particular barber shop as Im sure they provide great haircuts outside of my experience. Just wanted to respond to a few comments that were made.1) The stylist I saw did not fix a previous cut. I told her what I wanted to change compared to the previous haircut I had. My hair was not messed up nor did it need fixing. Just wanted to change it up.2) Regardless of whether she fixed my haircut or not, the hardpart was not done well. The hard part was wide and grew a bit wider as it went farther towards the back of my head. I was not able to notice this until I went to style my hair later on that day and noticed after I went to pull my hair apart, so although it seemed perfect initially, it was not. It is hard to notice a hard part on the top of my head when looking straight into a mirror. I will post a picture as soon as I figure out how to validate what Im saying.3) Experienced does not mean professional. I understand that the stylists will glance over at the tv every once in a while during a haircut, but my stylist was faced towards the tv throughout the duration of the haircut and even switched the channel to Ellen when she grew tired of the Guy Fieri cooking show she was watching (this is not an exaggeration whatsoever).I understand that an owner should always back up their establishment and employees. Like I said, I am not trying to slander this barber shop nor its employees. My experience may be an outlier to others, but it was a negative one regardless. Thank you.Original Post:Im not really the review writing type, but this is a warning to anybody looking for a fade and/or hard part. I went to this place earlier today and asked for a 1 fade, combover trim, hard part. The fade was okay (5/6 out of 10), but the hard part was awful (1 out of 10). Nice staff, but go somewhere else if youre looking for these particular services.

Best haircut I have received in College Station. They do an amazing job with tapers and the staff really knows what they are doing.

If you own a business you should have the abillity to meet customers needs if you have a college degree for cutting hair and you are a licensed barber then how can you tell customers that you cant cut African American hair because you dont have the experience wont have a reason to go back because they just cant cut it then I was asked to leave n fo to another shop didnt have a poor disposition or threatening manner so if you ask me racism is alive and well in collegestation
