Planet fitness is great I’ve been to almost all their locations in the valley and like them all, yes they get a little busy at certain times but that’s to be expected. I’ve seen a review about their cleanliness and I have ALWAYS found their equipment and restrooms clean at all their locations when I visited. I try to go early in the morning to avoid a lot of people but even when the gym is full people tend to be considerate and not hog machines. I’ve used PF for a couple years now and have never had a bad experience, hence the 5 star rating.

Great place to get back into the routine of working out 💪Clean facilities, workout equipment is new and well maintained, amenities are a nice to have. Only 4 stars because of the lack of free weight options... but if you are not into free weights consider this a 5 star review 😉

Update: losing a star due to the employees using the mens locker room/shower area as a place to hide and play on their phones. I have pictures of this, and it makes for a very uncomfortable situation when trying to get dressed and they have a phone in their hands.This location makes for a much nicer workout than the one on w shaw. It isnt as packed full of people, and those who are there dont hog the equipment. Locker room couldve been cleaner, but other than that, it was a great workout and great location.Biggest issue for me is the crowd meter on the app. Its not very accurate.

Clean gym with great equipment and lots of sanitizing sprays

Open 24 hrs with lots of different machines to workout on or weights ect. Also different group exercise classes or one on one with a trainer! There is something for everyone and if you need help on how to use anything they will answer any questions or show you! Love the Tanning Beds and Shower Rooms and everything is fresh and clean! The prices are very reasonable for everything included with your membership! Come by and check them out lots more things offered that I didnt mention! I give them 5+ stars and when Ive tried everything I will come back and update Go Planet Fitness....

Good gym but their system and cancellation policy are terrible. I had the black membership that I had paid for prior to Covid, which mean I can go to any planet fitness. I went to another planet fitness(on Barstow) when they reopened and asked them to check the status of my membership. They said it was cancelled, so I ended up paying for another membership. Turned out it wasn’t cancelled at all and I was charged for two memberships. You would think with me having the black membership they would be able to see that in all of their gyms’ computers, but I guess not. Again good gym but they need a better system for looking up memberships.

This place is disappointing. Mold mildew in the showers with layers of grime in the locker rooms. Half the lockers are barely hanging on hinges. You’re stuff can’t possibly be secured. You can see the layers of dirt on the machines. Not the greatest demeanor with staff and attention. Stay away from this place.Update: Experience further, review posted.

I had a great experience! I took my teenage son for the first time to sign up for a gym membership. As you can imagine both me and my son were a bit intimidated. With the help and guidence of Shane at the front desk my son went right to work. Thanks Shane R.

UPDATE: do not be fooled by the comment below. They clearly did not take any time to read my review, and told me to call my club. In my review I clearly explained why the club could be of absolutely zero help. Frankly not surprised though as this corporation has clearly no respect for its customers.Left my review in images because it’s a long story; however, I do believe context matters. If you don’t want to read the entire review, I understand. But to make a long story short, Planet Fitness provides horrible service and doesn’t care about their customers. My membership was terminated without my consent. No one would contact me, and I believe many of their practices are very shady despite “transparency” being of the utmost concern in their ethical code. Do not use this gym.... opened an account in 2019 and in March of 2020 gym was closed asked if they want to open account again and they made west a mask on treadmilll said to cancel the account. Account was closed in July of 2020. Are account was hit again for opening a new account in October . This business reactivated our account and the a had the audacity to say we opened it up in October. We don’t even live in the state. They reopened this account fraudulently when asked to speak to the owner, Angelina who said she was a supervisor said that she can’t give us any of the lay information and there is no other way to rectify the situation. She transferred our account to the state we live in to make them deal with it. The lack of professionalism and the dishonesty of the company is appalling. We couldn’t even cancel an account we didn’t open. I will be reporting the company

Better then GB3, trust me I had a membership there

I loved this club but I cannot visit it again after reopening due to the high risk of COVID-19 . Unfortunately, many members do not wear masks and do not disinfect equipment properly. So, I did not feel safe there and decided to cancel my membership. However, I had to pay buyout fee $58. It is really disappointing.

The employees are not on the same page with tier mask policy after this last round of opening back up I asked an employee their mask policy and was informed that while walking from a-b you need to be masked up but while working out you can remove it. I have been operating like this for the last 2 months yesterday a employee asked me to put my mask on there where at least 8 people not wearing there’s because they where doing cardio it was ok but not ok while lifting weights. They pic and chose when they want to Inforce the rules. There where also several people lifting weights who had there mask pulled bellow there nose. But they where told nothing. I understand the reason behind it but I’m frustrated with their lack of consistency

Love this gym. The staff at the front counter is always very welcoming and the hydro bed is amazing!!I was a little nervous about going back to the gym during COVID at first but the staff made sure everyone wore masks and was constantly wiping machines down. There was even a worker walking around with a backpack sprayer.

This review is for the companys billing practice not the facility itself. The gym is great and always clean and the staff are friendly. The reason for the 2 stars is that I was charged the yearly $39 dollar fee even though the gym was closed for a majority of the year. The yearly fee should have been deferred for the amount of months the gym was closed.

The Planet Fitness in Clovis is very clean. There a lot of space and the staff is nice. The equipment is up to date, they have the leg press and preacher pad, which some of the PF around here dont have.

Why is this location & other Planet Fitness locations closed? This place was clean and following guidelines. Get these locations back open! Im giving 5 stars even tho Im mad because when they are open they are handling their business.

It has a reasonable price and has many different machines and options for workouts plus if I dont have a spotter I can ask the employees

Really disappointed in planet fitness. I joined back in July this location, as I was doing a travel health care assignment. When I joined I specifically asked if they would be auto drafting from my account- because of Covid. I was assured “no, due to Covid were only doing month to month.” So I joined, worked out 4-5 times then the gym closed again for Covid precautions. Months later when the gym reopened- I was charged another month AND yearly club fees. I had only been in the gym a handful of times. When I called I was denied a refund and told they would cancel my account. 2 weeks later I was charged AGAIN for membership. When I called they offered to “freeze” my membership. NO!!! You had already cancelled it for me!!! I just received an email confirming my cancellation on the SECOND phone call. No refund has been dispersed. This is STEALING. I wish I could not do my job correctly and it be fine. Really disappointed and out about $100.

Great place. Its busy so dont expect the bench press to be open whenever you want. Everything else doesnt have a line.

Finally went to planet Fitness for the first time about 2 weeks ago. The facility is maintained very well, staff was very friendly, and I really like that the fountain has a water bottle filling station. For some reason, no other gym in Fresno seems to have that, commercial or privately owned. I dont like that they dont have bench pressing stations and power racks so thats going to keep the five stars away, but I understand the companies image. Cant say I will be going back or joining as I like my traditional Olympic weights.

This morning I woke up to once again a charge for my planet fitness club memebership fee.... not only did i call multiple times to be placed on hold for over and hour to discuss this issue the first time, but I even spoke with the regional manager regarding my issue. He stated he wpuld provide 3 free months and i would not be charged until February. However this is clearly not the case and now I cannot trust that this issue will be resolved where i can continue being members with this company. Im requsting a full refund of all charges starting from the first one on October 19th 2020 of 31.89$ the second charge on November 2nd! Not even a month later of $39 then again the third charger today November 17th! Of $22.99All of these need to refunded and I need to speak with a regional that is true to their word.

It’s clean and the massaging chairs/beds are such a win after a workout! Even when it’s full, you’ll find a spot or machine to do your own thing. Not to mention Orlando whom I’d say is the coolest trainer ever! If you get the chance to do a class with him, best believe you’ll be wanting to join the next! Plus the staff is super chill and friendly.

Nice equipment. 24 hours. Classes offered. Not reciprocal with other Planet Fitness locations, because each one is a separate franchise. If you have a Planet Fitness membership, you will still have to pay $5 to this or any other Planet Fitness location away from your main location. This should be revised to be reciprocal if you are a traveler. Also, you are only allowed to visit any non-home Planet Fitness 10 times ($5 x 10 times = $50), even if in the ordinary course of life you pass this way frequently. Not the most frugal option. Policy needs to be improved to be more friendly to membership holding travelers.

Been going here for two years now love the 24 hours and love the staff usually. Today i went for the first time since COVID was made to wear a mask just to enter but not to work out. I complained about half the front door being locked because it should remain unlocked at all times and the guy working immediately threaten to kick me out and cancel my membership so I backed off. While on the treadmill I got his attention to try and talk and explain myself and again I was met with aggression and the threat to lose my membership. So I will probably cancel my membership because I don’t want to have my membership threaten whenever there is a problem. Like if the machine breaks and I complain it’s broken is my membership going to be threaten ? Yea no thanks

So I was just charged the annual fee when in fact I had canceled my membership back in June but apparently that’s not what I did I had just froze my account and now I’m not gonna have enough money to buy my kids food because planet fitness decided to charge me the annual fee.

This is an awesome gym. The gym is always kept clean. The gym goers are friendly here and welcoming. The manager Walter and staff are friendly and doing a great job.

I have been to most of the planet fitness from here to the coastal waters. Honestly, they all are nice and great costumer service. Have treated me with Respect and other guests too from what I have seen.

I have not been to the other locations but Clovis is freakin awesome. They truly care. I had a flat tire coming out from the gym and waited for AAA to arrive and in that time, an employee came out with water and offering help from her coworkers to change the tire. I was checked on my patrons as well. Im not going to any other gym. This place is legit. A real community.

Had a couple months of missed payments and called to try and cancel before covid 19 was told I couldnt cancel till the balance was paid off, continued to be charged but wasnt allowed to work out due to the past due balance. I called yesterday to try and see what could be done and was told by a member that the fees would be waived and I would be able to cancel, all I needed was to come down to the club, went there today and was told no note was made yesterday and the fees cant be waived thus cant be cancelled and I will continue to be charged. Now owe a large sum of money thats just going to keep growing. Terrible service, told one thing and did the exact opposite. Very frustrated to say the least

I visited and joined the gym on Clovis and Shaw. I joined because it is clean. Because of my disability clean is vital to my health. Met a number of the staff and they were friendly and helpful. Prices for the premier membership were surprisingly reasonable.

I used to ove Planet Fitness, but sadly I just found out the CEO has donated to trumps reelection. Bye planet fitness.

I personally go to the gym and I am impressed with the way the workers are so nice and sweet to everyone of my guest I have brought in. I would like to acknowledge one of the female workers named aliza for every time I have came to the gym she has been nothing but help and is honestly a great influence for your gym. If I wasn’t so comfortable with the workers I would not be as fit as I am today. 10/10. Thank you planet fitness!!

Good place to work out alot of machines. No creeps! Clean. Place gets busy around 5pm but still enough machines & room.

If I could give no stars I would. My fiancé and I cancelled our membership because we just weren’t using it with our busy work schedule. We went Together and with Walter, the manager, went through the whole cancelling process. We both gave our phone number and signed the pad, individually. Well this morning we wake up and my fiancé was charged. Called and the manager says he remembers us but he can’t do anything about it. Customer service is horrible!!!! How would Walter the manager say he remembers us and then say well can’t give you your money back. I’m disgusted andWill never return here or point anyone in planet fitness direction. Shame on you Walter, I am a manager and the customer should always be taken care of.

This planet fitness is nice and the employees are friendly. The planet fitness I was going to in WY had nicer equipment as far as treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers and tread climber. These machines do the job they are just pretty basic with not as many options.

Went in to cancel my membership and my fiancé’s they only cancelled the one and charged me. Now they claim it’s my fault! The manager Walter remembers us but did not take any responsibility so sad.

I thought it was nice, everything looked clean and pretty up to date. My biggest complaint is the lack of equipment to do deadlifts with. I like lifting heavy and I feel like the machines that are there only semi accommodate the needs of people who like to squat, press, or lift heavy weights. But I still enjoyed it. And I got a massage on some sort of hydrologic chair and that was pretty sweet. All in all, would recommend.

Needs more free weight area, more racks and an aerobics room. I only come here because its close to home and cheap. The staff is friendly so at least theres that

Clean & Very Nice Gym only problem I had was I bought my skateboard because that my mode of transportation & I love skating. And I was told I could not bring it in. And I was like why cant I? And the person working in the front told me he lets me bring my board in hes gonna have to lets people in with there bikes but I was like there a bike rack outside the no rack for board and my skateboard is a 250.00 sector 9 aAnd didnt wanted stolen and he became rude and told that not his problem. that was my first day mind you.

I found myself hesitant to go in, but once I did I really found myself comfortable with the the machines and the people that worked there were so friendly that I now enjoy working out. You definitely have to try the Hydromassage. That was the best!!!!

Great workout. Many machines available so I never have to wait my turn The classes are grueling but a lot of fun. The personal trainers are knowledgeable and proffesional and tailor their reccomendations according to you present level of fitness and physical abilities and disabilities.

I love this gym and was so sad when I had to terminate my membership. I chose it because it was quick to get to as I have to do my workouts on my lunch hour. However, once the building started for the Costco that is going in behind the gym traffic has been miserable. I dont expect it will get any better once the store opens. It was a tough decision but theres no point in paying for a gym that I cant get to. If the traffic doesnt bother you then stop in and see ehat they have to offer. I doubt you will be disappointed.

What kind of gym has no scale and no barbells for any kind of unassisted deadlifts, bench press or squat? 75 lbs max dumbells is a joke. Also turn the damn ac down nobody wants to be cold during a workout they need to warm up their bodies and muscles and you got giant fans blasting cold air everywhere the point is to sweat. All I can say is glad I cancelled my membership. ✌

Nice facility but something must have gone wrong the day my wife and I visited from out of state. We were treated as suspects signing in. My wife had to take a picture because of being my quess. Fill out reason for visit, etc. No smile or enjoy your workout. I think one of the personal was the manager or owner.

Cant beat the price. Clean, plenty of cardio equipment. Keep things well repaired. Certain times of day youll have a hard time getting the lifting equipment. HATE that you cant keep your gym bag by you. Its against the rules to have bags on the floor and there is no where to place them off of the floor except in lockers at the front of the gym.

I absolutely love this gym! I am so happy they finally opened up one in Clovis!! I highly recommend checking this location out!!

No problem with the gym (so far) my rating has more to do with the members than the staff. I find that unless im there really early, like 5 am - 7am or really late (10pm or later) its annoying trying to get in a good lift. The weights section is already grossly limited and when its busy most people here seem to just sit around either at the bench station or dumbells for 20 minutes at a time making it really hard to move from one work out to the next. Membership is cheap and of course the 24 hours gives me nice flexibility but if i werent locked in Id switch to a different gym. Getting in a solid workout is definitely doable but not ideal for people serious about the gym.

I was very disappointed in there customer service it appears that when you call the main office I spoke to the rep. I received infromaction onwhat the process was to.make a payment and change the date of the payment she stated I could go P/F and do both. I then went to the gym and spoke to the staff and they stated they could takethe payment but they could not change the date I asked if they could call the main off I even gave them the name person I spoke to but they would not do it and they were very rude so I cancelled my membership. I was very displeased with there serviced.

Joining this gym has been the best! The staff has been helpful and friendly especially Rayanne. She always greets me by name and is always working so hard to make my morning workout a pleasure.The gym is always well stocked and very clean.I belonged to another gym before joining p.f. and the difference is a 180.the manager and trainer are very helpful.thank you for coming to clovis
