Ive been to cobblers all over the world, and Bolivar is definitely one of the best Ive been in to! Service was excellent and he offers efficient, masterful work for a reasonable price. I brought in some pretty beat up boots that needed some tlc and a rubber outsole and i couldnt have asked for a better result!

Please go see Bolivar for your shoe needs. I took a very new pretty pair of shoes in and he made them even better! New rubber bottom, conditioned, weatherproofed, and stretched for a really reasonable price. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again soon.

Highly recommend! I took in a pair of my favorite cowboy boots, which are about 7 or 8 years old. There was a puncture in one of the heels and the tips and sides needed resoling. Ariat doesnt make this pair anymore so I want to keep them as long as possible. I wear these boots religiously, so they looked a little rundown. He resoled them and let me choose which texture I wanted on the bottom and then shined them, and they look brand new. Great service, he knew exactly what was needed, and turned them around quickly and at a very fair price. Id recommend anyone who needs leather work done to come here. Im thrilled with the outcome and theyve certainly got my business from now on.

Mr. Gomez is a true craftsman. Hes repaired and resoled three pairs of shoes for me, and they have all turned out beautiful. Theyre like new but still comfortably broken in. Fast, reliable and reasonably priced for his skill level.

Thank you so much. The professionalism and high quality workmanship in this shop is consistent. Shoes much loved, worn, and no longer in stock- repaired to a better than wearable condition- sooner than the estimated time. Service, repairs, extras (little repair details at no additional cost) and fair price, rate this shop easily at more than five stars.

The craftmanship and repair work on my boots is fantastic, they took the time to repair the wooden heal before re-soling the boots, the finish is great and the end result is better than I had expected. Thanks for the friendly services.

I’m actually blown away by Bolivar’s quality of work. I took my leather boots to him which had a huge hole and crack in the sole. Not only did he seamlessly resole them, he fixed the leather strapping peeling off the heels and conditioned and polished the uppers leaving them in surprisingly better condition than when I bought them!!!

Took in a Coca Cola cooler from the 50s or 60s and had them put a new zipper on it. It was ready for pickup the day that I was told it would be ready. The color was matched nicely and the stitching also looks really good. After seeing the quality of stitching on the bag, I will definitely be returning when I need my boots resoled.

Excellent service, very quick turnaround (3 days) and a very good price. I was under the impression my Red Wing Boots were nearly ruined; not only are the discolored spots corrected, but they are exceptionally clean and shiny. He went beyond to clean the white soles as well. He did an excellent job and gave enjoyable service.

Dropped off 2 well worn boots and they returned looking nearly brand new! The soles were replaced and heels cleaned up and boots polished. Great job and reasonable price. Plan to drop off more shoes and boots to be refreshed.

I have a pair of dress shoes that are more comfortable than my gym shoes. Due to my walking to work daily, I go through my heels pretty quick. The new owner has repaired my entire sole/heel and my heel a second time due to an unfortunate foot disorder. Both times, I was delivered my shoes the same day and at a very reasonable price. I will continue doing business with this owner and will make recommendations to my peers.

I brought a pair of my own shoes here for new soles and cleaning last year, under the previous ownership, and then took in one of my wifes pairs last week for the same services. Each time the shoes (Frye leather) came back looking better than new, and feeling great. Thank you to both the old and the new proprietors!

I had visited the store about 2 weeks ago hoping to get my favorite boots repaired. The heels had begun to run over noticeably. I attempted to fix them myself by buying some leatherish material about 1/16 inch thick from the dollar store.I cut and hammered the material on but when I walked in them, it felt as if I were walking on a big piece of stone on both boot. So I chopped some of that material off on the sides and kinda halved the width of them. They still werent comfortable...felt like I was walking on pebbles. So I bagged them and took them to Brass Tack. I forgot who waited on me but I showed them the heels, asked if I could get a tab put on the heels and asked the cost. The man that waited on me was nice enough, I guess, because I was so emotional about these boots that now, I really dont remember exactly what transpired but I remember fussing at him and storming out.I bought a beautiful pair of boots this past weekend and today I went to Brass Tack to get tabs on the heels. The price is very reasonable and they look marvelous with the tab...they are virtually unnoticeable. The man who waited on me was professional and friendly. We talked about the beautiful purses they had on sale. He came from behind the counter and showed me a couple of them but theyre a little too rich for my blood...as they say!Of course I didnt tell him about my previous visit to the store...he thinks Im a nice lady!!!I recommend this store to people because of the good work they do on shoes and their personal service.

My wife and I were visiting Cleveland this weekend and happened upon this charming place. My wifes very expensive new boots had a loud and annoying squeak with every step. Fixing the problem required removing part of the sole, re-gluing, and some related work. Brought the boots in on Saturday afternoon and needed them back by 10:30 am on Monday when we were leaving town. The work was done professionally, at a reasonable price, and right on time. A great experience.

Boliver does amazing work. I just stopped in to have my girlfriends favorite boots fixed, and he exceeded my expectations. The boots are many years old and now they look brand new again. She is so happy. Boliver was also able to fix my Johnston & Murphy shoes while I waited. They also look brand new again. I highly recommend Brass Tack Shoe and Leather Repair. I am now a loyal long term customer!

Did a really great job at restoring some of my winter beaten shoes. I took in two pairs of dress shoes and a pair of leather sneakers. They were all in pretty bad condition. I left them with him on Friday, early afternoon and picked them up at lunch on Monday. Did an amazing job, looks brand new. My only minor complaint was that when I paid for the service the shoe shine guy automatically assumed a tip. The service was 24$. He gave me 10$ back, and was like “10 dollars good?” Or whatever. I fully intended on giving him the full 16$ tip instead of 6$ because the shoes were in pretty bad shape. Then When i came back on Monday he said “they took extra effort, but it’s no extra charge” basically begging for a tip. I was going to give him the 10$ he missed out on Friday because he did such a good job, but it’s very rude to act like that. Other than this minor annoyance, I will definitely go back for any shoe services that I need because they do such a great job.

In approximately the last year or so, Brass Tacks was bought by a new owner. The previous owner/operators were amazing; I had brought my shoes here for years with tremendous satisfaction and would recommend them at every turn. Unfortunately, the new owners are driving this business into the ground. I brought several pairs of shoes for service and was told that the shoes would be ready on a certain day - I come to retrieve my shoes on that date at 9am. The sign said they would be open at 9am, the door was locked and the lights were off - and no one was there. I come back that same day during my lunch hour, half the lights are now on in the store and the young adult behind the counter informs me that my shoes are not there - they are coming later in the day. Why are my shoes not in the store? Because they are being worked on offsite. Why do I have to end up coming THREE times on the same damn day to get my shoes? No idea. I gave my feedback directly to the young adult at the counter: When you tell someone that their shoes will be ready on a certain day, they had better be ready on that date and not require people to come back three times. Also, its rather disconcerting that shoes are being taken offsite -- I have no idea where my possessions are actually being stored or worked on. That was my last time going back to Brass Tacks - which is unfortunate for me because the location is very convenient.
