Needed a valve replaced. Service person did not show up with correct tools for the job. Took almost an hour to turn the main water valve off, then needed to leave to acquire the correct key to shut the water off. Mind you the water meter was installed by the city less than 24 hours prior. Repeat trips to service truck (15-20x), then needed to leave (again) to acquire the parts he needed to do the job. Also, informed them of what service was needed. So you figure they would show up with the parts needed. No estimate given. Then charged 2 hours labor, plus parts and a service charge.

We have used McPhillips over many years for both plumbing and HVAC. Outstanding service, technical knowledge, all technicians are top notch.

Last Monday (1/11/2021), Ernie came to fix my furnace. He was able to clearly explain to me the reason my furnace wasn’t working. Step by step, he identified that the issue was my draft inducer motor fan .That same day, he was able to get the replacement parts. Then clean the dusty parts inside and performed leak test. I was glad that it was done in just a short time. I would definitely recommend him for his professionalism. Surely, I would prefer and refer this company if I would have other issue like my air conditioning and others.

Prompt and professional service, Ernie replaced the draft inducer assembly in my 18-yr old furnace and had it back up and running like new in an hour or so. Plus he cleaned and checked it for safe operation in preparation for Winter. Thanks McPhillips and Ernie, I appreciate the good old-fashioned, expedient Service....another Company tried to sell me a new unit over the phone before even looking at my old one.

They were nice enough, but I essentially payed $140 for someone to tighten a washer.

Called me and left a voicemail stating that they would be “forced to take legal action” if I did not contact them. I did not live anywhere near them (several states over) and have never nor will ever do business with them. I had never heard of them before they called. Very unprofessional.

The technician was prompt. He fixed the drain and installed the sink.The quote was correct.

Great service, super nice! And at my age (up there) Ive dealt w/ quite a few vendors. I have a much older house which needs a lot of attention. So, consequently I have a file full of McPhillips receipts. Never a re-do. Although, next time Im going to ask them to come out with the horses and carriage!

Extremely poor customer service. Took much longer than I was originally told to install my new AC unit. Attendance from the technician was spotty as they were trying to fit my job in between more important calls. There were many excuses along the way for the multiple delays. I would recommend strongly against using this company for any HVAC work.

I wish I could post a review of their quality but as happened to several other reviewers they never showed up. This despite me having made an appointment a week in advance. Guess their quality might be good if big customer but after being told several times throughout. The day that they would call me when someone frees up (despite me having an appointment) 5:00 rolled around without a call and I took a day off work for nothing. So I cant see myself ever calling them again.

I was very impressed with McPhillips professionalism. Their furnace appliance was the most competitively priced and they did not include a huge mark-up as other installers do. I liked their prompt response to every need and thoroughness in follow-through. They were always accessible by phone, e-mail or text. This is a local business that deserves our support.

I called them on a Monday about my bathroom sinks faucet and they told possibly today but probably tomorrow so I sat around all day on Tuesday and no one ever showed even though when I called around 2:10 they said theyd have someone freed up soon. When the clock hit 5PM I gave up. Id used them previously and they were good but the last few times they just wasted my time.

I have been a home customer of McPhillips for many years. My furnace and air conditioner were installed by them. Technician Ernie B has been performing all the required yearly maintenance tasks needed to keep both appliances operating efficiently. After several power outages last week, my AC was inoperable. It stopped working on one of the hottest days (Saturday, July 20) of the year!!! I could not believe it. It had stopped working late Friday night after another power outage. I decided to call McPhillips. I decided that I could not wait till Wednesday( scheduling conflicts) to have my AC fixed. Ernie was on call. He said he would be over after finishing a current job. Unfortunately, commercial customers with contracts started to call and they took priority over my call. At some point, it was obvious that he could not make it. I did not wish to have the other tech come since it was past 2pm. Ernie said he felt bad because he had a good idea what the problem was and I had an engagement to go to that night. It was 83F when I returned home and Sunday morning it was still very warm. I surprisingly received a call from Ernie early Sunday saying he was definitely coming over to fix my AC with no emergency fee.He diagnosed the issue and replaced the condenser in about 30 minutes. Only a person with a conscience would have done what Ernie did. I thanked him and he said he felt better after helping me. He did not want me to be without AC for three days. This is an example of excellent customer service and why I am a happy McPhillips customer.

Real bad service!! Looked at furnace,but didnt fix anything.I was told theyd get back with me on getting it fixed,but never heard from them again.Now Im out of 85.00 dollars,and the furnace is still in need of repair

Im lowering my rating from 2* to a 1*. Like they say, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. After my last 2 star review, I received a phone call from the fine folks at McPhillips, apologizing for dropping the ball, and asking how they could make it better. Because I had already had the work completed by a local guy, there was nothing they could offer me. However they did remind me that they were busy with commercial work, and because I was residential, I would always be a second-rate customer (Commercial comes first). Last week (Thursday to be exact), I decided to give Mcphillips a second chance when my A/C unit died. A gentleman came out to look at it, said it couldnt be repaired, and said hed get back to me with a quote for a new unit. Well, today is 7 days later, and Im still waiting on the quote from McPhilllips Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. Luckily, I have already found someone else. Never again.
