Alvin stepped up and went above and beyond my first visit. Taking me in as a walk in almost at closing. When others say, I Cant, I hear, I wont and Alvin said I WILL. I have been back now a second time and looking forward to the next visit very soon.

The owner, Kevin, gave me one of the freshest cuts Ive had in a long time. AND at a completely reasonable price. His heart and talent alone warrant a five star rating, but the actual building is also super clean and workers are doing everything to prevent the spread of disease. 100% would recommend.

My entire family and I have been a client of Rock City Barbershop for almost 2 years. My son and I go to Brandon Crisp and he is phenomenal. Very professional, very detailed in his work, and caters to his clients needs. He spoils me and my kid with this no sting alcohol he has to put on after every cut. He is the best! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Been going to Kevins shop for years now. When I moved down form Jersey it was hard to find a good solid place with the right atmosphere and clientele that also gave a great high fade. Rock City does just that. The fact its not far out of the way is an added bonus.

Al was amazing! My boyfriend had been going elsewhere and was never really happy with his cut (always comparing him to his barber back home). He decided to check out Rock City Barber and he was so impressed. Very professional and welcoming atmosphere (like your neighborhood barber). There was great detail and skill put into the cut, he will definitely be a returning client.

Coming from south Florida, I was super hesitant to let just anyone cut my hair here in lake county. As soon as I walked in I knew this was the place I needed to be. Alvin is fantastic. Does a great job. Cool place. This place has an urban Flair to it. Each stylist has their own booth and does their own thing. I think the owners name is Kevin and he typically has hip hop or rap music videos on the screen. The wait isnt usually too long if youre flexible on who you deal with but I prefer the stylist Alvin because Ive used him for years now. Theres a gun store right next to it that I recommend you check out as well if you have some free time and its open. But its a friendly team of people in there and they have a very diverse client base so no one should feel uncomfortable.

Ive gone to this barbershop mulitple times for a lineup on my tapered cut. The staff is really friendly and they make you feel at home. Kevin pays attention to detail and he ensures that he takes his time. Whenever Im in orlando i will be sure to go to him again. Hes a great down to earth barbrer!

I really like 2 out of the 3 haircuts that my kids got when I went about 3 weeks ago. I call this weekend and asked to make an appointment for the two guys in the front that cut hair and I was advise that they didn’t have any appointments for Saturday, So I decided that I would prefer to wait till Monday just so I could make sure my kids would get a haircut by one of the two in the front but they told me right of the back that they didn’t have any as well. (I feel like they didn’t even check). So the person on the phone went to tell me that he has been cutting hair for over 20 years and that he would take them, which maybe I should of tried him, but seeing everyone cut hair there I just wanted to make sure my kids would get a cut by one of the two guys in the front. NOW, I have to go out and look for a new barber shop for my kids. I really they would of at least helped me out and let me know what they would have available for either of them. So thank you very much for accommodating my boys !!!!!!!!!

Late review, but much deserved! I happened to stumble upon this place googling barbershops because I needed an undercut fade.... I thought the name was catchy and I saw the good reviews... so thought what the hell... I’ll check it out. I’m a little shy being a female about just popping in barbershops, (I tried a few and was not happy) so I went in with my husband and we both got cuts. The owner cut mine, and let me tell you I can’t tell you happy and pleased I was with not only his cut, but his whole attitude and demeanor. I appreciated the small talk very much, I did not feel awkward or out of place like I usually do in a barbershop. Even my husband was happy with his cut (done by another barber) and how we were treated. We haven’t been back because I’m learning how to cut hair (I’ve been practicing on us both lol) But I wanted to leave a review about this shop.

Ok, so I used to go to All-Star clips for my haircuts, and while the cuts were pretty good overall, it did usually take a long time to get seated, and the barbers did occasionally leave to greet friends or just to eat something. But I wanted to try somewhere new that would hopefully be just as good and much quicker, so I did my research and this was the next barber I chose, and am I glad I did. The service here was very fast, there was only 3 barbers however there was only one man including me waiting for a cut. The barbers themselves may give you a different vibe, however I can assure you they all are extremely chill and do engage in conversations. The barber I had had very similar interests in me so it was cool to have a conversation with someone who enjoys stuff as much as me, and even showed me stuff I didnt know about. The haircut itself was by far my favorite haircut I had received for a long while, they faded extremely well and didnt trim all the hair off the top off my head like All-Stars always did, they only cut off enough for it to be even, so I was able to keep my hair the length I wanted. The barber shop itself wasnt that full which was great, but a shop like that definitly deserves much more people. In conclusion, this is a great barber shop, I would recommend this barber to anyone who lives in the area, especially if you went to All-Star clips like I did, they cut much better and are much faster, a win-win situation.
