After spending over $700 with him getting my computer fixed, I texted him a few weeks later that my computer was not working. He texted me back he would call me soon. When I didn’t hear from him for weeks I texted him that I was still waiting for his call and instead of apologizing he got indignant.

He was very gentle with my daughters custom built gaming pc and explained things in a way that was very simple for her to understand. In the end it wasn’t her pc that was broke it was her to she was using as a monitor. The price wasn’t bad either! THANK YOU COMPUTER GUY!!!

The Computer Guy set the bar high for computer repair. I run an online business from my home and all of my work is done from my laptop. When a shelf above our desk came crashing down off the wall and smashed my laptop screen, I called him in high hopes he could fix it quickly, expecting and prepping myself that it might be done by the end of the week. He was responsive and upfront over the phone. With a little extra on my part for overnight shipping for parts (which I was happy to pay for a quick turnaround), he fixed my laptop and had it ready to go the next business day. He was knowledgeable, confident, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend for computer repair!

As we all know, apple products can be pretty challenging to repair/replace. I am a huge MacBook fan and dont plan on switching. Well, my stubbornness got the best of me when my Mac crashed. I was in the middle of updated my software to the latest and greatest Big Sur. Unfortunately my computer got stuck in a loop and would freeze with only 6 minutes left! Panic struck after it wouldnt come out of the loop so I called Bryan. First thing in morning, I brought my laptop by. He broke down the price, my options, and additional performance upgrades. Im currently in school and needed my computer back the same day as drop off. Not only did he fix mine, but I brought another MacBook Pro in and he even looked at that one (not for free, this is a business, people have to make a living; diagnosis costed around $40). So, long story short, Bryan was able to fix my MacBook Air and have it done in the same day as drop off. (Previously on the phone with Apple Support the day before and they referred Bryan to me; he is the only Apple Certified Computer repair in Clarksville, TN) Being an Apple product, it was pricey but with that, my computer works amazingly!!! This “computer repair guy” and I use the word computer repair.......lightly ! We paid him over $500 to repair our home computer in our home... he then had to leave due to a kid problem and said he can take it with him and bring it back at a later time. We were fine with that. He left and called me around 830pm said it was fixed and he would bring it right over and needed to be paid and asked if we were paying in cash I said no I have a personal check, he said that was fine. He came over around 9pm, had a little trouble getting working but he got it up and running for about 15 min right about the time he left, I called him the next day to let him know that the computer was not working. He said he can’t do anything right now because he had to go to court “should of been a red flag” for us.... he said to call him tomorrow to make arrangements to get it fixed..... so I did... called him the next day and he said he couldn’t help cause he was having personal problems.... tried calling him again and he never picked up... it’s been several months and yes he still has my $500 and I still have a unusable computer. This guy is a joke don’t ever call his business, we will be sure to talk to our lawyer.

Called Bryan Scharch and his company up this morning. My computer needed more space ASAP! I was in the market for a 1tb ssd installed today at my office. After a short convo to discuss my needs i brought a 2tb ssd from him and he came within the hour to install my ssd and had me back up and running! Great and fast service!

I can not say enough good things about Bryan! I brought my hp laptop to Bryan because it was running slow and consistently freezing up on me. I have screenshot of texts I was there this weekend. My computer is now in another shop and a heavy expensive paper weight. This is because you installed a corupted version of windows. Which then caused a chain of events with Microsoft tech support and ended up trashing my drive it wont boot up now at all.

Talked to this guy over the phone & there wasnt any mention of a $40 diagnostic fee...& if youre paying with a card theres a $5.99 charge!!.. charging double for possibly used components... just avoid this guy...it may save you $40 (45.99) if paying with a card.

I’m somewhat knowledgeable about spyware and when he told me that AGV was his own brand and wanted to charge me $89 - $400 to add I knew it was time to go but he did $40 for a diognostic fee.

After spilling water on my Apple Mac Book it stopped working. Found this gentleman. He was able to quickly initially diagnose the problem and recommend repairs. Later on, he admitted that he missed a needed repair in his initial diagnosis. He explained the costs, etc. on the spot. I decided to buy a new computer. He was able to retrieve ALL my data, applications, photos, and music from the old computer and create a recovery file. He was also able to retrieve a lifes worth of bookmarks and musical compositions stored in Sibelius. For all this he charge was minimal. Can not say enough positive about his expertise. Do not go any where else. Would be a waste of time and money. Highly recommended.

My computer troubles started with a chat conference, then a phone call, then a visit to the Nashville ™ store where they ultimately told me they couldnt perform the services required to get my computer back to normal. I called Best Buy™ to find out how much the simple service of transferring my files would cost and the said $100; with a quick call to The Computer Guy he halved the price and offered a same day turn-around! Of course he found that my problems lie deeper than just a file transfer and AGAIN halved the price it would cost to get my computer from the frozen state back to normal working order from any other competitor.This is not the least of it! Personal relations as well as a phenomenal customer service experience and a expeditious holiday quick-turn was the peak of my experience. Im frustrated because when I paid for my services he had absolutely no change (I only had twenties and his inability to break change would have conveniently left him with over 10 dollars extra). If you are going to be an operating business you should be able to break change.I cant even believe that typing this sentence feels necessary. After I told him that would be unacceptable he told me he takes cards too, but there is a 5.14% extra transaction charge for that. This is also something I cant believe. I cwtably wont speak for all, but most businessesuccessful that I regularly frequent always tell me one thing about credit cards.We dont like to use them because we get charged a portion of our profit for each transaction.That makes sense to me but that isnt what the Computer Guy did. He charged ME for the transaction fee, placing his burden of using the transaction software on my wallet. Very unprofessional, I will recommend going elsewhere.

This past weekend I had an incident that involved an entire cup of coffee spilling on my Macbook Pro and I needed to see what the issue was and if it could be fixed. Mr. Scharch was very personable and polite, as well as intelligent in his subject matter field. He walked me step by step through what he was doing as he examined the computer and explained what he was seeing and what kind of damage was caused. This diagnostic appointment helped in identifying that my computer was no longer reparable and that it would need to be replaced. I would absolutely return to The Computer Guy for future issues or installations of hardware/software.

I had what I thought to be an unsolvable issue with my laptop, but upon notifying Brian of my disposition he reassured me that it was a simple fix and that I would have it back very soon. He is down to earth and in it for the general welfare of the customer. I highly recommend him to anyone with any type of computer malfunction.

If youre looking for a professional experience and/or setting this is NOT the place! The owner, I assume, Bryan runs his business in a junky, disorganized garage! I went for a diagnosis, which ended up being a repair, and he was conducting business in HIS BARE FEET! He charges $40 for a diagnosis even if you decide NOT TO have him repair it. Stupidly enough I decided to allow him to repair my laptop, which had been shutting itself off randomly, he suggested I needed new hardware which ended up totaling $192 which $16 was tax alone! When I finally got the call to pick up my laptop (same day) he asked me to call him when I made it back to his place of business so I did and he IGNORED THE CALL, so I call again I hear a few rings then silence! Seconds later he pops his head out of the door saying hold on Im with a customer Im A PAYING CUSTOMER it would have taken NO TIME to tell the person whom you were speaking with to WAIT! He had me sitting outside almost 30mins just to pick up my laptop! You dont treat paying customers that way. Worst part of it all is my laptop is still shutting down randomly, so I WASTED MY MONEY. All in all I should have went with my first mind and just bought a new laptop which unfortunately I will have to do anyway since I am an online student so having a reliable laptop is critical and I expressed this to him. I only wish I could get my nearly $200 back to go towards my new one. Do yourself a favor and find another laptop repair place. All the good reviews that are posted must be from friends or family. This was an awful experience in every aspect.

I believed my computer was ready to crash - it felt like it was beyond repair. Bryan took my computer and put it in better condition than it was when I first bought it; speed is the key word for me. BEWARE: I went to this guy from his reviews on Google. First I called him, he was very forward. I was thinking that maybe I should go some where else but I went on over to his home anyway. I got there an he opened his gagrage and grabbed my laptop and started plugging it in and asked me whats the problem. I explained what was going on an he quickly (within 5 minutes) came up with what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it (3 different estimates). Everything was fine until he said ok what ever you get done, just for him telling me what was wrong would be $50. If I would have known from the start that he was going to charge me some outrageous amount just for looking at it for 5 minutes. I would have never gone there.I paid him and left like a bat out of HELL. I took it to the Geek Squad and told them the story they stared laughing and told me that there was no charge there. That was some low budget move on his behalf. So for future reference go to Geek Squad first. NEVER AGAIN!

After some research I found The Computer Guy, and since he was certified to work on Apple computers I decided to give him a chance. Skeptical and not wanting to travel back and forth to Nashville I met Bryan and within minutes I was at ease based on his computer knowledge and diagnostic of my computer. I kind of already knew the problem based on Apple tech support via phone. With in minutes The Computer Guy found that my hard drive was dying. He gave me a few options and never pushed me one way or the other. He allowed me to purchase a SSD drive from any website or from one he recommended and once he got it in hand he replaced it and reconfigured my MacBook Pro within a half of a day. The final bill was extremely inexpensive. Bryan’s work area is a little cluttered but he makes up for it with his friendliness and willingness to seat down and explain everything you didn’t know about your Mac.

We took our self built computer to the computer guy because something got tweeked during the build and we couldnt get it going. He was able to fix the computer while doing fix diagnostics he went through and investigated and fixed as he went.

I am a Mac user who does LOTS of machine embroidery. I recently purchased one of the few programs that can be used on a Mac to download and translate designs into the format my embroidery machine uses. It wouldnt work on my 4-year-old MacBook Pro because I needed more RAM, and I have been extremely frustrated since the program was very expensive. When I did a search for computer repair businesses in Clarksville to have RAM added, The Computer Guys business came up first, and I am SO GLAD it did. I read the reviews, phoned him, took my computer to him yesterday, picked it up today, and now it works like a charm!!! It had several problems I wasnt aware of, and luckily one of them came up while he was working on it, so he took care of it. I WISH I COULD GIVE HIM MORE THAN 5 STARS - he did that great a job!

I spent 200 dollars for a program download and USED hard Drive. Bryan told me he would drive to a vendor and get the NEW part I needed. I paid 140 dollars and I left while he worked on my computer, Within 30 minutes he was done! I was like wow, the vendor must of lived across the street from him. Once I went back to Bryans house, I noticed his car had not moved from the driveway because there was still ice sickles on it and frozen to the ground. Once inside I asked Bryan which car he drove, and suddenly, he became defensive and asked why. I mentioned there was ice sickles still stuck on it as if it hadnt been moved in a few days. I then asked to see the package the hard drive came in and Bryan said he had thrown it away and asked if I wanted to see the trash can he threw it in. I said show me the trash can and then he came up with more excuses. I went out to the trash can and asked why wasnt there any foot prints in the snow around the trash can. Eventually Bryan then told me he lied and said he was sorry. He then told me he was broke and needed money and was really stressed out and didnt want to talk any more about what he did. He even looked crazy like a cornered rat. I then decided to not say anything else because I was in his home and wanted my computer back. I ended up paying 200 dollars for a USED Hard Drive and phony computer work. Bryan is desperate for money and willing to lie and sell used parts in order to get money from his customers. Hes dishonest and Im probably likely to go to small claims court and try to get my money back. Its a shame when a 100 percent disabled veteran lies to other veterans and attempt steal their money. Shame on you Mr Scharch. THIS IS NOT CLARKSVILLES LEADING COMPUTER REPAIR OR BEST PLACE TO GET ANYTHING FIXED, HOWEVER ITS A GOOD PLACE TO BE LIED TOO... WHY DID YOU LIE ABOUT DRIVING TO A VENDOR TO GET A HARD DRIVE? WHY DID YOU LIE ABOUT THROWING THE PACKAGE AWAY? WHY WOULD YOU LIE TO ANY OF YOUR CUSTOMERS??? WILL I GET MY REFUND?

I cracked my computer screen on my 4 year old MacBook Pro (15 in, Retina display). I did not want to pay $3k for a new Mac so I priced getting the screen fixed....which due how the late 2013 models were made meant replacing the whole top component. Multiple forums later, I was mentally prepared to pay upwards of $800 for parts and labor. I was going to take it to the Apple store in Green Hills mall but decided to check if there was an authorized Apple repair person in Clarksville and happen to come across the Computer Guys advertisement on Google. I gave him a call, explained the situation, and decided to give him a shot. Im glad I did. I was pleasantly surprised to pay less than $500 (parts and labor) and to have my Mac back in less than a week.Make sure to either have the correct amount of money on hand or be prepared to pay an additional fee for using your CC. (Not a gripe but simply a statement of fact).If a friend of mine was having problems with their Mac I would definitely recommend The Computer Guy. The reasons I would recommend The Computer Guy: fast service, very reasonably priced, professional and pro-active (he listened intently while I explained the problem and searched for the needed components while I sat there), and if you live in Clarksville, TN, he is much closer than driving to the Mac store in Nashville.

This guy delivered very bad news to me - that my iMAC was loaded with viruses - my own fault, I had inadvertently loaded MACKEEPER on it, which I have learned is a big NO, NO! He was confident he could wipe it clean and reload the new OS and the programs I needed. I was uneasy because he wasnt a big name like BEST BUY or some major company, and he was operating out of his garage. But no one in this town seems to want to work on a MAC, so I took a chance and left it with him. I have NEVER had computer work done in the past where I got my computer back the very next day, but I did with this guy! He did an EXCELLENT job - did a little extra too - gave me some good tips - and I am so happy with the way my iMAC is running now. I have recommended him to members of my family and close friends. My iMac had some damage to its aluminum case because my less than intelligent movers were very careless with my belongings. My computer not only had physical but internal damages as well. Turned off and on by itself. It would switch from sleep mode to on while I was upstairs in my room. I would see a light on downstairs and think I was being robbed. I googled many different repair shops and every reputable place seemed to be in Nashville. I live an hour away in clarksville. Every place I called in Clarksville were not certified in Apple computer repair, so they in turn referred me to Nashville. I finally caved and called for estimates in Nashville. EVERY establishment I called (5 total) quoted me no less than $95. This does not include geek squad which quoted me even higher. I found The Computer Guys website. His website was straight forward and to the point. I assumed that he would be the same way when meeting and he was. His name is Bryan and he does most of his jobs at his house, but he offered to do a house call which I declined. At first I called and got a voicemail, but he IMMEDIATELY called me back to my surprise. We set up a meeting and I brought my 27 iMac to his house. He took about 30 minutes to look at my computer and told me that it was a $50 flat rate. I agreed, but unfortunately due to the damages internally and externally there was no way that he could repair it because it is impossible to buy the parts for repair. I guess Macs dont sell certain parts of their computers. He graciously gave me the number to a company that will buy my broken computer. On the BRIGHT SIDE I have a $1500 claim with the moving company so that I can hopefully buy a new computer. So Im actually very happy. My girlfriend was very impressed with his work and knowledge about my computer that she started asking him questions about her 6 year old Mac Laptop which runs slower than a one legged cat. After talking with him for a few minutes she is now going to Double her RAM, update her OS and get a new battery. We saw a lot of his work and were convinced that he truly cared for his job. He is upfront, reputable and most importantly CERTIFIED to work on Macs. He is willing to work with everyone and knows that not everyone can make a $200 payment upfront. I will be returning in a few days to upgrade my gfs Macbook. His prices are Truly FAIR, but in comparison to everyone else, HE WILL SAVE YOU $100s. Seriously give this guy a call and compare him to EVERYONE ELSE. I can guarantee he will have the best TURN AROUND TIME and the BEST PRICE.

Let me start of by saying that I tried to buy a program to secure my computers from viruses and well once I uploaded them on both computers (laptop and PC) I had soon come to realize that it was a crappy program and completely messed up both computers so Im freaking out cuz I use my laptop for everything now a days so I did some googling on my phone and came across this guy....(THE COMPUTER GUY)......so I called him and told him what I did and he told me to bring it to him and he can begin a diagnostics on the computers.....he found a diagnosis right away and told me what he could do for both computers and gave me a price.....very honest work cuz when I showed him my PC is told me he could fix it but it would cost less if I just bought a new one instead and he fixed the laptop and was able to restore all items from PC to laptop so we could get a external drive......thanks computer guy.....will be calling again when I have any other issues.....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!~~Annette~~
