The only reason I’m giving two stars and not one is because my nails actually LOOK okay visually. However, the person who did my nails did a horrible job. She RIPPED off my precious tips with clippers instead of melting them like normal, which pulled my natural nail and hurt like HELL. Additionally, she cut EVERY SINGLE ONE of my fingers with her file as she was shaping. I pulled away twice and she did it again.Lastly, she didn’t even look at me when I paid and left. Took my card, ran it and gave it back to me. I took a minute to say thank you and she just walked away from me.I would NEVER go here unless I had a timing emergency (like this time) and couldn’t make it to Leb or wait for an appointment in Springfield. This place is AWFUL!!!

Enjoyed the experience here. Went with my friend for pedicures. You have to make a reservation ahead of time for right now due to Covid restrictions. The staff were VERY thorough, friendly, didnt rush through it and did a great job. The tools they use all come out of sealed surgical type sterile bags. I would recommend checking them out

Love this place! I always tip well and get Amazing Nails in return.....I always go to the lady she is the best :-)And definitely get the gel polish, it makes a world of difference! You can stay with just the regular acrylic and get the gel polish and you are totally good to go, never break a nail in between appointments ;-)

AVOID THIS PLACE THEY ATE RUDE, DISMISSIVE, AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!Made an appointment with them earlier this morning. Had to tell the man on the phone 3 times we wanted 2 full sets and 2 pedicures. We arrive and he only put us down for one set and 2 pedicures. When I asked him why the mix up he was rude and dismissive and said well all I could get was the one set and the 2 pedicures. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!! Like I said the guy scheduling appointments messed up the appointment then was rude and dismissive and refused to correct his mistake!!!

They do not care what the clients nails look like whe. They leave all my nails are un even they look like my child did them. They all seem to hate there jobs as well I will never go back to this place .

I went with the dip, they burnt me when they were filing my nails the guy kept stopping to either look at the clock or to text on his phone. He didnt do the dip right the dip has already started breaking off and I just got them done not to long ago, very disappointed 😞

I went there to get my nails done and they did a good job but my gell full set came off with in 3 days I called they told me to come in for a redue I payed $70 for my nails and they tried to charge me another $50 for them to fix my nails

Nails are all crooked, I mentioned it to the Tech, and he said he COULDNT fix it and we hadn’t even put the acrylic on, waited 15 mins past my appointment time. They couldn’t help me find a color. Poor at making customers feel welcomed and paid $20 over. I called the night before they had their price listed as $30 online, paid $60 and gave a $10 tip, man said it was only $40 on the phone.... very upset. DONT RECOMMEND!! Unsatisfied non-returning customer

Great location and very clean and organized. The manicure and pedicure I got was great. I asked for specific treatment (no cuticle cutting) and was impressed with the attention still paid to my hands and feet. I have asked other salons to not cut my cuticles and they have done it anyway. Very nice atmosphere and relaxing.

I just moved to the area and was looking for a nail salon... I decided to give this place a try because of the good reviews that I had read. I am so happy I did! I got a regular pedicure and a dip powder manicure & honestly the best service I have ever had. They were so friendly, and very determined to make sure you are happy with your nails. They truly take the time to look at small details. Definitely will be my new regular nail salon!

My girls and I were just looking for a place to get our nails done and this was the absolute perfect spot to go to. My nail tech did my nails was superb and treated me like a Queen. Found this gem! I forgot to ask her name! But she was so meticulous cleaning every corner of my nails, making sure it is cleaned & pampered! I have been coming here for a few months now and I have been so happy every time. The technicians are friendly, warm and detail oriented in their work. I also love the peaceful ambiance; that is one of my favorite parts about this special gem. After a long day, I can always trust that my nails will look beautiful but I also leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.

I am visiting Claremont from out of town and needed to get a fill in the middle of rush hour traffic. Checked Google and this place was around the corner from hotel. The bellmen knew the exact place and directly me perfectly to get there thank goodness. They got me in right away even while busy it was super easy to relax. Today I went in and got a shellac manicure by technician and a pedicure (I didnt get the girls name who did my toes). Both did a wonderful job and were super detail-oriented which is HUGE for me. She spent a lot of time perfecting my cuticles and the girl doing my toes did the same. I felt so pampered and important, as I always do when I go.

Best place Ive ever gotten my nails done. Sad they arent in my home town, I was just visiting. Very professional, fast and great quality. A million color choices for gel manicure in a huge space. Will definitely be coming back next time in in town.Cost was even better than the service.

This is the best nail experience Ive had in the Claremont area. This was my first time back after several years since I was in the area. They were incredibly patient, friendly, and professional. The woman who did my nails made sure I was extremely happy with the result before I left. She asked over and over to make sure I was satisfied.

It all depends who you get. Both my daughters had a great first experience. I got the woman who I assume all the complaints are about as she was easily distracted by the TV and I have a lot of jagged edges.

This was my first time trying out a new nail salon for dip powder. The man in the front did an AMAZING job and everyone was very sweet. Its hard to find a nail salon that you can trust to do a good job but this place is it!!

They use good quality products and beautiful colors from their great selection. The lady gave me extra massage and now my feet feel so great and my nails look fantastic. Perfect shape, right length and beautiful coat. The place is clean and well organized with sanitation procedures strictly followed. Price is very reasonable. Cant wait for the next time to come here. Their prices are amazing, and so is the service. Id been looking for a place near my home for a while, and have become a loyal customer since my first trip to Excel Nails. My biweekly visits are the relaxation high point of the week. I havent tried their waxing services, but have been thoroughly impressed by the amount of care and attention the techs put into the pedicure and shellac manicures. I highly recommend Excel Nails!

All it took was reading a few reviews and I called to make an appointment in the morning. They were able to accommodate me 2 hours later, on Saturday, on a holiday weekend, craziness! I arrived on time and waited only 10 minutes during which time I chose my gel color and technician came over remove my polish I forgot to take off before leaving home. I told him what shape I wanted and he got to work. He is very skilled, gentle and I love his vibe. The entire shop is down to earth and is a well oiled machine. If you are looking for a nail salon, look no further than Excel Nails. This will be my go-to until death do we part. LOL.

I think I found my favorite nail place. I got acrylics done 3 weeks ago and I still dont even need to go get a refill because they did such a good job applying them the first time. Theres a small slim girl with long hair that gives the best pedicure Ive ever received in my life.

I found this place via Google and Yelp. Reading all the great reviews I wanted to get my nails did here. I was able to get a same day appointment a few hours in advance. I love how clean the salon is and the staff is very nice. I got a gel full set with ombré tips and paid a decent price, it was not way expensive like the other salons Ive been to. The best part of my experience is that the nail tech took his time to do my nails and they turned out perfectly shaped and beautiful. They have a wide selection of nail colors to choose and an array of services they offer. I will definitely be back again. It is best to make an appointment since they are really busy.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have NEVER left a negative review for a nail salon in my life but after my last experience at Excel, I DO NOT recommend this salon and feel that the female technician that did my nails shouldn’t even be licensed. I went in for dip powder set and immediately, the female tech (mid to late 30s?) was trying to talk me out of doing dip powder because it wasn’t “going to last long”.I know what I want as a customer but she was pushing me towards gel or acrylic - I was indifferent on what type and just wanted my nails done so I went with gel option. (Side note: why offer dip nails only to talk customers out of it). I had recently soaked off my previous nail set, so my natural nail bed was already somewhat sensitive, which I commuted with her. She BURNED ME several times as she was using the budder and I told her it hurt. In retrospect, I should’ve told her to stop and refused further service but again, I just wanted to get done but it just got worse from there. Her gel application was TERRIBLE (please see picture) - the gel didn’t even cover my full nail!!! What?! I think my ten year old niece could’ve done a better job...as she was filing and shaping the coffin, she kept filing down the side of my real nail.The final product was abysmal. When I got in my car and saw the botched job in better lighting, I immediately went back inside. I complained to the owner (I assume he’s the owner because he sits near the checkout register) and informed him that I was unsatisfied with the service and results...he told me that coffin nails shouldn’t be that short and that’s why they looked like that. I told him that my nails were HURTING, but essentially, he alluded that she has to do it like that because of the length and shape. WTF? He gave me a gift certificate for a fill-in, but i would rather dip my hand in hot cooking oil than ever return to that place. The female technician that sits towards the front should have her license pulled. Terrible. Never again!

I have to say I am really happy about my first experience with this place. Its very organized, people that work here are very friendly and professional. They have good quality products and a lot of pretty colors for you to choose from. They have been around for a while so I saw some regulars came in, thats a good sign for a decent place. Their price is very reasonable. I really think you should try this place out and you would not be disappointed !!!

First visit wasn’t great. The young guy who put my nails on didn’t make sure they were on straight and left bumps in the gel Weeks later I went for a fill and had the owner do them. He did a great job. Today went for another fill and once again the younger tech did a horrible job. Left old nail polish specks on my nails. When I showed him he didn’t seem to care. He also didn’t paint them how I wanted and didn’t file the ends and left them sharp. I don’t recommend excel unless you get the older techs which is the owner and his wife. In my case they’ve just lost my business. Gel Nails are not cheap!!

I had a pedicure done.. the staff was friendly, the employee gave me a nice longer foot and calf massage than other places Ive been. She even me know the OPI polish was an additional . My pedicure looked pretty!Husband came with and had really cracked heels, theyre much better!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Worth every penny. Considering my experience with the place today, I think their price is unbeatable. Came in feeling very safe and comfortable as I was greeted and everyone smiled. I can see sanitation is their priority as staff clean up and sterilize their equipment after every use. Honestly, i really enjoyed my first visit with them today. This nail salon had a very welcoming environment and was super clean. People here were so friendly and nice to me, they welcomed me very well when i walked in. I didnt make appointment but it took about 5 minutes until my turn. I got Manicure & Pedicure for $40 which was very reasonable compared to nail salons ive been to back to my hometown. They gave me such a great Mani&Pedi ever. So love it. My technician was skillful and careful, she took her time in every details and made sure everything look perfect before she moved on. I was very pleased when i left. Highly recommended!
