We replaced our aging roof. Devore did an excellent job. The job site was well run. Roof removal and installation went great. Our new roof looks amazing. The job site was immaculate after cleanup. Would definitely recommend.

They were courteous, worked extremely long hours and always made sure that they weren’t inconveniencing us. Dan Devore, the owner was the first person I saw and he appeared multiple times during the process. We had a small kitchen leak so a day after I accepted their bid, they placed a tarp to prevent further damage. Then they were even able to schedule the work three weeks early. Had a difficult request of dismantling a 14 foot tall wooden chimney on a very steep roof. The company did a fantastic job in finding a way to do so, and safely. Workers were highly efficient and finished the project in a single day. Would highly recommend.

Just an overall bad taste. Came out an did a survey. No estimate was provided for either project we have. The website says you work on chimneys. I had to ask twice for a quote and then you called me to tell me you couldnt do the work. I dont get it.

Full-house gutter removal and installation of new gutters. The workmanship and materials were top notch. The installation crew was extremely polite, considerate of our property, and they went out of their way to check with us before making any decisions that we did not clear with them ahead of time. The only complaint is about communication with the home office in the time between signing a contract and the start of work. It was essentially radio silence for three months (We were told 2-3 weeks at the estimate), and we had no idea when they would begin work. Calls or emails would go unanswered for days or even weeks. If you look at other reviews youll see this is a common issue, but the only issue. Other people have found what we found, once they begin work, its superior professionalism and a great price. I would definitely hire them again, but I would know what to expect communication-wise.

We needed to have our roof patched about 3/4 the way down. Devore roofing estimated 2 bundles of shingles for the repair. Estimate was spot on and after the shingles arrived onsite the repair was completed. Only way I could tell anything was done was the half bundle of shingles left for future use. 10/10 would recommend.

Needed some work done to for a home sale. Very quick and responsive to come look at the house, but way over priced. While I appreciated that they wanted to do the best job possible, they completely over stated what needed to be done in comparison to what I was told by by multiple other roofers. Unfortunately I was out $50 just to have them come out and give me an assessment which other companies did for free.

They offered the best value, using high quality materials, and were close to the least expensive bid...Daniel Devore, the owner of the company, came out to offer the bid so I knew he was truly invested in my project & knew what needed to be done, he wasnt a marketing rep for a large company. I also learned that Daniel Devore had owned his company for over 30 years, that indicated to me that he had experience and was clearly doing something right! I also picked up on the fact that Daniel was a perfectionist and had very strong feelings about doing my project correctly. My new roof is on and has held up wonderfully during recent heavy rains, it also looks beautiful! We used Devore Roofing to replace our entire roof at our old house and they did an amazing job! We called them back to repair the roof of our new house and I found out that they fixed things that they noticed were wrong for free. They replaced several shingles that were not set correctly, re-hung a gutter, and tightened the chimney flashing. They did not charge me extra and they went over and above to make sure the work was done right.

Two years ago I learned about Devore Roofing from Angies List. Subsequently they put a new roof on my mothers house at a fair price with high quality workmanship. About a month ago they installed new gutters and a new flue cap. I did not get any other estimates or contact anyone else. A happy and satisfied repeat customer, I think that says it all.

They installed a new roof, gutters, downspouts and gutter covers. Answered any question I had. Went above an beyond to be helpful. When I said something about climbing on their scaffolding to trim a bush they did it for me. As they were packed up to leave I noticed my chimney cover was askew. They brought a ladder back to take care of it. Couldnt ask for better service.

Devore Roofing recently completed putting a new roof on my home in West Chester, OH. I am delighted with the results (looks like a new home!) and the experience was positive. We used DeVore Roofing to rebuild our side porch roof from the inside out due to animal and water damage. We did not know the extent of our roofing problem and were kept in the loop every step of the way so there were no surprises as the damage was uncovered. They kept the job site clean (which was important to us because we have small children) and the final product turned out EXCELLENT. I am so happy with my beautiful new roof. I had 3 estimates but went with Devore because of superior materials and the detail provided. I only had a small cape cod but it was important to me to do it right. Dans roofers are excellent at what they do. They are very proud of each job with an attention to detail. Even though I had a small job compared to what they do normally do they treated my home with the same importance. When concerns came up his worker called Dan to check with me when a lot of companies would have just rushed it through or assumed I wouldnt want to pay more to have my home done right. Need more businesses like this.

I would give Devore a one star rating. First, it took them 5 weeks to come out and do the work from the initial estimate. When we got the estimate, we were told it would be two weeks. This was important because we did actually have a leak and were waiting to repair the damage on the wall. Second, when they came out to do the work, they noticed one if our support beams had water damage and was pretty rotted. They told me the only way to know the extent of the damage was to dig up the floor inside the house and look from the top. The crew told me this. I called the office to see if we could get an estimate on that but they said they didnt do that type of work. So I asked them to write up a small analysis of what they saw and/or take pictures so I could show a carpenter. The owner did not seem thrilled to work with me on it. He said he would call me back that day and never did. This company was not great to work with at all. I found the owner even rude. We will likely need our roof replaced within the next 5 years and we will not be working with this company at all.

There are probably lots of roofing companies out there who could come to your house, install a new roof for a reasonable price, do a fine job, and be gone. But I’ve always thought that how people (or companies) behave when things go wrong will tell you a lot more about them than when things go as planned. The ability to handle adversity is what separates the bad / good / great.To make a long story short, we definitely had some adversity on this job - in fact two separate BIG things went wrong. But I must emphasize, the problems were NOT caused by DeVore Roofing, in ANY WAY. Just one of those situations where one weird thing goes wrong and that results in another thing going wrong… kind of a cascade effect. But Dan DeVore came out of this situation like a shining star. He took full responsibility (even though the first event was more of an “act of God” type thing) and we worked together to handle the two separate issues. Never once did I have to arm-twist him to help or do the right thing. He absolutely went above and beyond to help us get these two situations resolved. His crew was also super easy to work with. (Much thanks to Jimmy and Eric.) After the second fiasco happened (caused by someone else, grrr… not DeVore) they could easily have walked off the job and not come back, and been totally justified in doing so. Dan and his team at DeVore Roofing just completed a new roof and gutters at our house and were thrilled with both quality and responsiveness. Not only does our roof look great but it was obvious that they took pains to do things well. For example, I asked them to put matching shingles on my little garden shed. They didnt like how the angle of the roof caused a few of the shingles to bend so they found matching metal and built a metal guard so that I would not have exposed nails or creased shingles. The screws they used to install the metal were silver and that bothered them so they came back and painted them to match. I hadnt even noticed.Finally, cleanup and supervision were great.

We had bad leak due to a flashing issue which turned out to be worse than we had thought. The original estimate by 2 different roofers (including Devore) was off by a significant amount once the roofer actually got up there and assessed the situation and found that there was rust and deterioration all around the chimney. Dan explained the situation thoroughly, and we realized- reluctantly- that we were in for a lot more than we had hoped. The tiles and flashing were fixed in a couple of days, and we have had no further problems.Our take-away from this is that Dan Devore is a trustworthy and honest man. I was not happy that the original estimate was underbid (due to the fact that there was ice and snow on the ground and hard to get on the roof), but I believed him when he explained the situation, and I am very pleased with the work. I would recommend Devore Roofing without reservation- but make sure all your estimates are based on close up evaluations!
