I am so glad to have moved back to where I can visit this place for my hair cuts and neck/shoulder massage after. They all do a great job, but a special shout out to Ashley for the last two times I was there.

Had a deluxe haircut which included a shampoo conditioner and mini neck massage with a hot stone which was awesome. I got Bess and she was amazing. She was great at her job and great at listening. I cant wait until the coronavirus is gone to try some of the other services. I bet they would be amazing as well. The owner is lovely and talented and is running a great business over there. I have been coming to the Men’s Salon & Spa for over 4 years. When I first moved to Cincinnati I was referred to Elena by a close friend. Elena is professional, prompt, easily conversive, and remembers how I like my haircut so I can just show up...sit down... and catch up. If you are tired, like I was, of always getting haircuts that aren’t perfect and having to explain what you want every single time you showed up, then give Elena and the MS&S a shot! Thank you Elena for always making me feel like I am the only client you have :)In fact, Elena is so awesome that I went to her the day before I left for my wedding to get my haircut because I knew that I could count on her consistent quality of cut! I see our wedding pics on the daily around the house and owe my perfect hair in all of them to Elena.Side note, when I visited the salon yesterday I was very impressed with the COVID-19 measures that they have implemented to keep their clients safe and make them feel at ease.Thank you Elena!

Amazing haircut! Will definitely be returning

I booked an appointment for my husband online @ 5 ish for a 7pm new client HC with Danielle last night. Website booking was easy and they called an hour later to confirm. My husbands hair looked great. He said Danielle took her time and consulted with him prior to cutting. I booked him for a signature cut @ $49 but it looked great without the styling so he paid only $35 and was told clean ups were no charge in between cuts. As a former salon manager of over 10 years, I must say they provided exactly as advertised and it was a great experience as stated on their site. I will pre-book now for next appointment with Danielle. Worth the money for convenience and professionalism!!!

Very welcoming atmosphere and they are careful to follow Covid protocol. I am amazed at how good my hair still looks even 4 to 5 weeks after a haircut here!

I have not satisfied with this place. They did not justified what Ive paid. I dont see any good results after I got a service. Not going back to this place anymore

Courtney is the best! She always does a fantastic job on the haircut and is super helpful at trying different things. I personally don’t like it when you just sit quietly the entire time and Courtney is the opposite of that. She’s a great person to have a conversation with about anything.

I had never gotten a haircut and i just went with the prior reviews to try this place out and I can tell I made the right decision. I was set up with Lane for the first appointment and I just loved the haircuts. Especially Lane, she is very understanding and will adapt a haircut picture to your face. You just have to tell her the idea of what you want and she will make that look good for you. Very smart, honest and descriptive. I never left with the feeling “ I did not want it this way “ it was always “ I like this look “. We tried so many different looks in just 6-7 months and everything worked out perfect. My haircut will be the only thing I would miss since I have moved on to a different city now. Great job Lane and the men’s salon. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere, very personable stylist, however if your doing anything with color involving bleaching, only certain stylist work with bleach, so call ahead to find out.

Great for haircut and beard trim!

Overall, a great place with a very friendly staff. Didn’t wait at all and the stylist was very friendly. They offer water and coffee which is nice. However, the haircut itself was not remotely close to what I had asked for. It’s one of those clipper cuts (which you shouldn’t ever go against the grain with my hair and I told the dresser that) you’d be able to do yourself from home and feel like I should’ve been paid to get my haircut done. I was kept “assured”, oh don’t worry, you’ll love it despite it being the exact opposite of what I said before we started. Now I look like a fool one week before an important work deal, it’s safe to say I won’t be going back.

Made an appointment online and received confirmation. Took off work early specifically for this. Drove over 30 minutes to come here. Upon arrival was told that no appointment was in the system. Front desk receptionist said come back tomorrow I guess. Nothing was offered to remedy the situation or to attempt to keep me as a customer. So, I went across the street to a different place where the staff did a fantastic job with a haircut and beard trim for $15 less than this place.EDIT: Response posted to this review is misleading and combative when it should be thoughtful and meaningful. I received a confirmation for my appointment and had a screenshot of it on my phone. Nowhere on the confirmation did it state that an email was supposed to arrive. Yes, I did not receive an email, but this did not trouble me as the screenshot said Appointment booked successfully. Different places work different ways. Your system messed up someones day and lost you a regular customer, so I would suggest that you review how it functions if you want to avoid this in the future.I was not a walk-in. I was a victim of your poorly designed programming. I understand things go haywire with technology, but that is no excuse for the rude way in which we were treated. My husband and I both lost time and money to come to your office, and when we expressed our frustration, the attitude of the receptionist was not empathetic at all. Customer service is key to doing well with a business like yours, which charges more than average for something someone can get elsewhere for much less. If you charge for service, then please make sure you deliver that service, including politeness at the greeting process.I was willing to let this go, but upon walking out of your shop, my husband said It felt like they didnt even want us there. I left my review so that this disappointment would be out there for others to see and be wary of and so that you can have a chance to better your business for others. If all you do is argue with criticism, then you wont get anywhere. Case closed.

I get my hair cut by Katie and get a great but every time, even when I change it up. Ive also had my hair cut by multiple other stylists here and have never been disappointed.

Ive only been once and wasnt sure what to expect. My appointment was with Lane for just the $30 express cut.I didnt know what kind of cut I wanted (and itd been 9-10 months since my last cut) but I wanted to get away from just a basic fade. I gave her free reign with only one request: that it part a certain way. Not only did she explain what she was going to do based on my hairline and part before hand, to get my feedback, the cut was amazing. And afterwords she explained how to maintain the style daily with only about 5 minutes of work. She recommended gel, but Ive found that I can typically run a comb through my hair and it goes to the exact same style day after day even after a month.I highly recommend trying them over going back to your same barber time after time. I know the next time I go Im going to try one of the more expensive services.The best praise I can give is that when my wife saw me her reaction was youre going there from now on

I ended up going with their mid-range offering which was the haircut, shampoo and scalp massage, and the hot stone neck and shoulder massage. Everything turned out to be a fantastic experience, and I will definitely be going back to The Mens Salon & Spa from now on. The staff are all very friendly and courteous, and Elena (who was my stylist and is the owner of the place) was very sociable and kind.Please check this place out if youre looking for a top-notch professional mens salon in Cincinnati. The lady was good but inattentive

This is a great place for men. You are offered a beverage when you get there, they have comfortable leather chairs with a large screen tv in the waiting area, and are very polite in every meeting. Individual rooms that are screened by a curtain for privacy. They offer many services like manicure, pedicure, massage, facials, and of course hair cuts. Their two top choices of haircuts have hot stone massage for the neck/shoulder area. Would recommend that you change into a smock if you are going to get the stone massage. Overall a wonderful place.

A very friendly experience, as well as a quality haircut. Online appointment scheduling is very convenient. It isnt cheap, but it is far better than going to great clips or their equivalent. The stylists are more talented, and they wont botch your haircut every time you come in. My haircuts when I went here grew out far better, than any of the haircuts I received at lesser stylists.

Ive been going to the Mens Salon for three months now. The atmosphere is relaxed, there are coffee & beverages when you arrive, and the staff is fantastic. The Signature Haircut is much more than a haircut - you get a great shampoo, hot towel on the face, and then a hot stone massage on your neck. The whole experience takes an hour, but it is worth it, and a great value for the price. I highly recommend this salon.

I went here once, 2 years ago when I first moved to Cincinnati, drawn in by the name and not knowing where to get my hair cut. I have been going back ever since, which is crazy because I live downtown but I drive up to get my hair cut. I am definitely someone who is brand loyal when I have a good experience. My stylist knows exactly how I like to get my hair cut, and knows all of the quirks of my head and get me looking just right. I havent taken full advantage of all of the salon/spa offerings, but I recommend the signature cut, which is the hair cut that includes a hot stone neck and shoulder massage. All of the staff are extremely professional and warm. It is definitely more of an experience than just a plain old trim. You can go to any $5 chain place for that.

Spent the money to have son get good hair cut and beard trim before a job interview. He came out with a wet head of hair and a shoddy beard trim. Sports Clips does a much better job for half the price.

Been going here since early 2015 and the service has been consistently exceptional. I typically schedule via the online appointment tools and have not had any issues. 90% of my haircuts have been with Victoria...highly recommended! Walk-ins are hard to get, I typically have to plan two week out.

I like going there because they know modern styles and old school styles. Each stylist I have used has been knowledgeable and friendly.

While this place isnt the cheapest around, you definitely get what you pay for. The ladies here are fantastic. I have never walked out unhappy with customer service or with my haircut. I originally went to get a botched cut fixed from another place and Ive kept going back ever since. You can not go wrong with getting a haircut here or any of their other services.

Too expensive for the same experience I would get at Sports Clips (Sports Clips is good, sorry).The girl who cut my hair had a hard time communicating and seemed scared to cut my short hair.Did a bad job fading. Maybe the claustrophobic small booths with VERY DIM 15 Watt Living room light did that.

I could not disagree more with the comments from Cor Nel about The Mens Salon and Spa. There is NO comparison to this place and Sports Clips. Sports Clips is Great Clips with TVs. I used to go to both until I found The Mens Salon and Spa 2 years ago and I will never go back to any place else. The Mens Salon and Spa has private rooms for every customer, a relaxing environment with a fun atmosphere (SportsCenter on the TV and some good music playing in the background plus complimentary refreshments). The service here is consistently excellent and the stylists are very friendly and professional (Elena is my stylist and she is amazing). I can be in and out in under 20 minutes if I need to be with the Express Cut or if I have extra time, I can stay for a Signature Cut and get treated like a king with a hot towel facial, scalp massage and hot stone neck massage on top of my shampoo and cut. Ive recommended this place to all my friends an colleagues because there is simply nothing like it anywhere else. The prices are not expensive either, its very competitive.
