Ive been going to Grotes Barber since I met the co-owner, Terry, about 15 years ago. Its an old fashion place with a touch of the modern. I enjoy the way he uses cream and a straight edge to do around my ears. The hot towel shave I get each spring is the best I look and feel all year. The staff knows their clientele; they develop a rapport with them. In fact, I hardly have to give any instructions at all: Mr. Grote knows the way I like it. And they will get to know you, too. A West Side staple and a great small business. Highly recommended.

Terry was very welcoming and spent just about an entire hour with me for my traditional hot towel shave and haircut. A genuine old school barber with great atmosphere and conversation.

Horrible experience. Made turn and found the 10th tee had a league going off in front of us. Assuming the groups got off on time we had a 45 minute wait before we could finish our round. Similar experience earlier this year on a Saturday morning. Delay at turn due to course putting groups off on both sides and squeezing too many in causing a 30 minute delay for us. Never again.

Good service because we just need to call and be there without loosing time.

No parking whatsoever. Might be a good haircut, but it’s not a convenient spot. Went to a shop with parking spaces.
