The price was dead on for the fantastic service here and the hair cut I got was exactly what i wanted. Its a nice throw back barber shop, busy but busy for a good reason. Parking outside is tricky, but I didnt have to wait long. They take walk-ins or appointment. Cash or card.

Best barbershop in Cincinnati. I drive from kentucky because when you find a good barber you stick with him. I went through a few until I found Royal barbershop, Craig and his fellow barbers wont let you down. They take walk ins as well as appointments. They take thier time and do it right not like the chain so called hair salons that have a time limit between customers and your out of chair as soon as you sit in it. Royal barber shop is a throw back to how barber shops used to be, good service, good conversation and a great hair cutUPDATE: COVID killed this buisness i was very sad to see them go.

Current rate $20 for a hair cut. Good shop where the team values their customers. They all quickly remember a recurring customer even if it isjt someone they work with.

I came in here while my wife and I where down here shopping. It was well worth it! I came in and sat down as other guys were being taken care of. Tim came in and got me going right away with a head shave, one of the best Ive ever had!! I also had him trimmed me beard down closer to my face, I had quite a big beard. He took his time and made sure it was perfect. It looks so much better. Wife was well pleased as well. Ill definitely be back!!

A long time customer. Offer a great cut at a fair price. Even if you give a little extra for a tip the total price $ still seems fair. Best part of the haircut experience is the straight edge shave at the end of the haircut - if you so desire.

Four to five barbers working, but the wait can be a little long at times. That should tell you 2 things. These guys take their time and they are awesome. I live downtown and drive to Kenwood just for a haircut. I wont go anywhere else.

Been going to this barber shop for 40 years. Tim was my barber until he passed away not too long ago. Very sad. His son now works there. A wonderful traditional old-fashioned style barber shop where you can just hang out and read a paper if you want to.

Stopped in after seeing all of the great reviews on here and yelp. Craig was able to fit me in between appointments and gave me a great cut. It had been a long time since I had been to a barber shop, I forgot how great the experience is. The straight razor shave of the neckline alone was almost worth the cost of the cut. Im not sure you can find a better value elsewhere in the city.

Love this place. My go-to. Only 15 bucks for a regular haircut which is incredible for the attention to detail they provide. One time I had one gentleman spend a full 20 mins blow drying my hair and ensure every hair was in place. All the barbers are super decent and friendly people, and the decor is amazing to look at while you are waiting. Not a fan they only play Republican TV channels but I have no blame for that as that is likely the preference for the area and honestly a 50/50 chance.

These guys are awesome! Very friendly and great service! My son was getting a haircut and anther gentleman lined me up just to be nice! Its fantastic to see such an old school mentality still around today!

This is a great Barber shop. I was able to walk in and only waited for five to ten minutes before one of the seven barbers was available(I am not sure if they have seven on staff but there were seven chairs). The look and feel of the place reminded me of being in a military barber shop and they know what they are doing with that style.If you are looking for a place that can nail any type of military hair style, look no further. They even finish with a straight razor shave on the back of the neck and hairline. This is one of the few shops in Ohio that still does this.Five stars for a great haircut and at a fair price.

I was in a bit of a time crunch and had to get in and out within an hour. Walked in and there were 5 guys in front of me, but I figured I would give it a shot. Waited 30 minutes and when I was finally up three guys walked in that had appointments (obviously regulars) and were served ahead of me. Its not my local barber and Im not a regular so I cant be that upset. Definitely wont become a regular though. Never good for new business to push them to the side and in turn get a second hand experience.

I used to love getting my hair cut here. But Ceaser, you have a very bad attitude problem an you give off a horrible vibe. I had an appointment an was there 10 minutes before, an he had called upon another customer, so I left. You’ve ruined my experience an also lost a client.

My son went for the first time today and it was a great experience. Gary took his time and gave him a fantastic cut with a design on the side. He loves it!

I moved from Columbus 18 months ago. My barber there was fantastic and cut my hair as well as any other male member of my immediate family. Since moving here I have been to 6 different places with prices ranging from $13-$40, some were very bad some were OK but none were great. I went here this past weekend and have found my new barber. The barbers all seemed great as everyone I saw leaving had a quality cut and I was extremely pleased with mine. I got my usual cut but decided to go a little shorter on the sides with the clippers. My barber showed me a test run on my sideburns first to make sure I liked it and then executed a detailed and wonderful hair cut. Well done. Myself and my two young sons will be going here from now on.

Ive been going to royal barbers my whole life and the guys that work there are always great and have always given great haircuts.

Went here and payed $14. 2 months later came back and it’s $20!! Same exact barber . He actually said his rent went up . With these prices and the awful location I probably won’t go back again. There’s no excuse for a 35% increase. I’m beyond offended. At least tell me the price went up BEFORE u cut it . Sheesh .

For me, this is the only barbershop in Greater CIncinnati. These guys cut hair patiently, they trim beards carefully, and are just all around great people. I compete in beard competitions for charity, and when I need a trim, I go right to Royal Barber Shop. They accept walk-ins and appointments. For the quality and service, you cannot beat the price. Cmon, look how happy I am!

I was interning in Cincy for half a year and this is my barber I kept going to. A barber shop with history and some cool fellas doing an awesome job. Definitely one of the highlights of my stay here.

I have been getting my haircut here for 38 yrs. NO ONE ELSE has touched my hair except Tim during that time. He is AMAZING! I am still getting the same quality cut that I got the first time that I walked into the shop (when it was next to J. Riggins in the Kenwood Mall - for those old timers that can remember that). They are still reasonable and you get the neckline straight razor trim after each cut as well. You cant beat it! I would STRONGLY suggest giving them a try! You will NOT REGRET it! They are the BEST in CINCY!!!

I get my haircut from Darryl since he has been cutting my hair for the past 27 years. Best barber hands down.

Personally the guy didnt know how to give a fade....my hair length grew out the same which was annoying. I work right next to here and go to exclusively male (2x the price) or sports clips with my one girl because it just is stupid to get your hair cut and it looks like crap in 2 weeks...if you get a basic hair cut that takes no effort go here its $15, if you want someone who knows how to blend or cut a fade or any other special cut....this isnt the place for you.....

I have been going here for about 2 years and overall they do a great job and cut my hair the way I want it. But my last time there I got a terrible haircut!!! Its the second time Ron has cut my hair and messed it up! I am very unpleased with the way he has cut my hair and will be looking for another barber because of this!
