Teds garage has been around for a long time and was first recommended by my father. We have an older Chevy and a 2013 Toyota Camry and we always choose Teds garage for their great prices and service. They are so honest that one time I took my car in and thought the radiator was going bad. Without even charging me, they replaced the radiator cap while I was parked in their driveway, and sent me on my way. Teds will always drive you home while you are waiting for your car to be fixed then pick you up when its ready.

As always great service each time I take one of our cars to Teds either for a tune up or Smog Test. Staff very knowledgeable and always pleasant when explaining what the auto may need.

Teds garage can be an experience to manuever your car into the driveway while your ride is circling or waiting for your call, with that being said, I called and they got me right in. My issues were a rear electric window that would not go back up and a schedule would change. They have always been honest with me, (as far as I know!) In addition to the work we discussed I also had a headlight out so we got that taken care of also.

They do the best mechanic work and they are nice and friendly

Bottom line: theyre trustworthy. No wonder they are always packed with cars. One of my engine codes said bad catalytic converter. They told me other less expensive conditions may trip this code. They saved me 1K. Im sure a car dealership would have jumped at the opportunity to have me driving off with an expensive yet unnecessary 1K part. Ill be a repeat customer.

This garage was a rare find. We had failed a smog test and they were recommended to us by Masons Garage in IB. Well let me say, they didnt disappoint us. They were very fair in what it cost to get our 17y.o. truck to pass. It took 24 hrs to get the part ordered, delivered, installed and we were on our way. Very very nice people. I would highly recommend this business.

Ive brought my vehicles to Teds Garage for over 25 years, back before he moved to his current location. Ted and his son Glenn are the most honest and knowledgeable mechanics Ive been known. Ive referred family and friends here as well and many of them have remained life long customers as well. Ted and Glenn have even shown me how I could fix simple problems so that I could save money by doing it myself. Finally, if for some reason they cant do the job, theyre happy to refer you to a specialist that can. I highly recommend them.

Had been taking my business fleet to Teds for years and Ive sent many people their way. Always very honest, fast, and a pleasure to deal with. In the last six months, EVERYTHING has changed. Since Mike left weve never had a good experience and they seem to change staff weekly (all treating us like an inconvenience). Several times they recommended expensive repairs that did not fix problems, (full charge though). Recently found out we were billed for major work that was never done. - Go elsewhere.

You are not ever going to find a better auto repair facility anywhere in town. This shop is family owned and operated. TED, Karen and Glen are the greatest people in the world. Ive gone to them since 1975, when you get your vehicle repaired there, its done right and guaranteed to be right. Prices are very competitive, you have got to see them for all your repairs.

So after today I have a lot to say. My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years. We stopped coming here regularly about a year ago. Things all changed when mike no longer worked in the office. Derrick the guy who has been in the office has jacked up prices and always seems to find something new that’s wrong with my car. Earlier in the year he quoted me at 1k in repairs so I went else where. For my oil leak and brakes/ rotors to be fixed I got them fixed for $600 else where. This already had me reluctant to come back. Today I went back for a smog and oil change. I got there 5-10 mins after opening and Derrick says I’ll be right with you. 15 minutes pass he sits back down and asks if I’ve been helped? Yet he is the person to check people in. He then proceeds to tell me it’ll take an hour to finish. I wait on my phone and the next 2 customers who come in are offered rides for having to wait yet I was not offered one? Derrick then tells me that I need a new air filter, rotors and tires. Like I stated earlier I got brand new rotors in February. I got my air filter, smog and oil check, then went straight to my new mechanic. He checked all of them and a neighboring mechanic also checked and confirmed they are perfectly fine and Derrick had been trying to scam me. Everyone here was always awesome and it’s a shame to see it go this way. I could never recommend this place to anyone anymore.

This best part is that they fixed it in 24 hours. In South Texas Id be waiting for 6 weeks literally. I towed my car here from Penske. Penske wanted $1200 to install a new Towncar fuel pump. I would have done it myself but I live in Texas and the storage units prohibit repairs. I saved $300 enough with this garage to pay for motel, car rental, tow and a some change back.
