Ive had this company for 3 months total waist of money! Ive spent more time without internet than with not only that but their equipment! Ive had to reset the boxes daily 2 or 3 times because they just stop working add to that I havent recieved a bill so do they really expect me not to go with a different company

My cable went off late Monday eve. I called Tues. morn & talked to lady in repair dept. She was very helpful & polite. They were extremely busy, so she told me it would probably be the next day. Next morning I received a call from repair tech ( Chris) He told me he was on the way. Very shortly he arrived ( wearing a mask) & found the problem right away. I was very pleased with the service I received. Thank you to repair tech & lady who took my call.
I have used this company for years but the internet is always not working it seems like when you call to report a problem they said they are working on it so for the last 6 years its just junk and they are taking are money and seems like they dont care I am going to call legal help and going to take thim to court
Week day after 5 pm. Channel I love to watch was down...didnt get to watch any of my programs. Called tech service line to get my channel. Didnt get to watch my channel that night. Why have someone to answer phone if they cant help. I am thinking of going to direct tv
If there was a way to give this company a negative star review I would give them -5 stars! The only reason I have service with them is because they have my area locked so they are the only landline provider I can have. I have been begging them to fix my phone for six months! No joke and No exaggeration I have plenty of trouble tickets to prove it. I am quite sure there has been nobody in the history of phone repair to have ever had as many problems trying to have their phone fixed as me. Over the holidays I had already been trying for a few months to get them to take me serious on repairing my phone. I have been losing jobs, as we try to use this number to receive work as contractors (because calls could not come through), but I was disgusted when I needed to call 911 and could not do so because my phone was out. When I called Horizon to let them know what happened they didn’t care not at all! As normal the only thing they did was put in another trouble ticket! As a matter fact that seems to be the only thing they ever do is put in another trouble ticket. Maybe that’s the only thing they really know how to do is put in trouble tickets because I started this and the end of October 2018 this is the end of March 2019 and I am still dealing with the same problem! So I would strongly advise anybody that can do their business with any other company even if it means paying more which I doubt, do your business with somebody else because Horizon doesn’t care!
I was in there 1/30/2020 to pay my bill my cable got shut off the day before when i did a promise to pay and the lady even said it never should have happened so i paid with a debt card big mistake it said approved on my end but she said it didnt take it so i swiped my card again going against my better judgment and it charged me twice i still havent got my money back 64.26 is what Im owed i want it by next week thats theft in my eyes why cant i just get cash back this place is a joke so my 2 stars went to one if i could give no star i would i am low income and have other bills that was a hit i didnt need to take i wont be paying this month until I get my money back for your screw up
When I first got it was fine but then it got slow so they told me to upgrade so I did was fine again and now going on 6 months I can barely use my internet called and called asking them to come out and fix my internet but never show haven’t had a full month with no problems since I got it
The internet quality has been decent and the unlimited long distance calling is wonderful. I enjoy the month to month contract free billing as well. My main dislike is when they disconnect the service a week before the due date the bill shows
The internet is awful. When it rains it is either too slow to stream Netflix or its completely out. We only have access to DSL and no cable. So our internet is through the phone line. Everyone in my neighborhood is complaining but we are stuck because TimeWarner is not in our area. Our only other option is Satalite which is expensive. Our phone service is not much better. When it rains we can hear static on the line. Sometimes its so bad, I have to yell in the phone that I will call them on my cell phone. For years I have asked the company if they are going to upgrade our area. They have upgraded areas in southern Ohio but not our area which is just 10 miles north of Chillicothe in Ross County.UPDATE: I wrote this review 4 years ago and nothing has changed since then. Our internet with Horizon is still awful. It’s been completely out for 3 days now. We were told someone would contact us two days ago. When no one called or came out we were told they would be out today. I called today and was told by the answering service that no one works on Saturday. So now it looks like maybe….Monday? No other providers are available on our road and satellite is still very expensive.UPDATE: Horizon employee did arrive Sunday morning at 7:50 am in the rain to fix the internet. I was very surprised since the day before I was told that the techs do not work on the weekend. Problem was not at our house but at the box down the road where an animal had chewed through a line. So greatful for the weekend repair that I increased my rating from one to two stars. Why not more stars? Our internet is slow, outdated and effected by the weather when it rains a lot. Also misinformation from Horizon on when a tech would be out to do the repair.

6 megabit down and 1 megabit up is as fast as they offer.. to slow for streaming.. YouTube haft to drop quality settings way down to even play.. even still, lots and lots of buffering... u miss 1 payment or late for a payment, u get disconnection notices.. constantly getting accused of doing stuff online like downloading illegal stuff which found out it traces back to advertiznents... how would they know if they whernt spying on you?? So if u want there service, make sure u can deal with 6 megabit service or slower and can afford a good VPN provider on top of there service!!
I dont know how to say this; but you guys are literally a disgrace in terms of internet. Its honestly so expensive for something you could hardly call internet. Please lord let your garbage company go bankrupt, and every worker fired.
Refuses to return your call for a repair. I think they hide in their trucks and just eat lunch all day. Will be looking into different companies.

I really want to support local, I really do. However horizontel gives you no option for owning your own modem so you HAVE to pay a modem rental fee plus an extra $6 a month just to use WiFi- charging the same amount of money for internet speed the third of what their competitors offer. I want to be a customer but I just can’t afford to pay more for less- please fix this - please be more aware of your market
Worthless service. Tech support blames the user for issues. Their fastest internet isnt enough to stream a tv show without buffering 15 times per show. Do not waste your time or money.
This company is not worth your time. Hidden fees out the rear end of a cow with this company. If youre paying for phone and internet, be prepared to pay $110 even for the cheapest because of the hidden fees, which can add up to about $50 in hidden fees added to what you are told you would pay. They will TELL you that youre only paying for a set amount, when in real life youre paying WAY more than that. Also, the service is bad, because the first month we hardly had phone because it kept disconnecting. The technician kept screwing up the cords in the box and causing us to lose internet and phone for an entire month! Their employees arent very well trained, it seems.Dont fall for their schemes and lies. You can find better.

I have tried to rate a zero but can. Where I am this is all thats offered. We have tried to get spectrum out here for years. Other cable companies are 2/3s less than this horrible company not to mention they can keep the Internet up and offer something better than 10 mbps just so everyone knows 20mbps for spectrum is 34.95 a month while horizon will gladly charge you for 20mbps but only have the capability of acasually running 10mbps for 110 a month after their fees and such. We were paYing for 20 mbps for a year when a tech finally told us its only Cat5 cable and you would have to have Cat7 to run that speed. When we called in we only got $100 off our bill which is a disgrace, false advertisement, and theft. Believe me if you have an option get as far away from this company as you possibly can. I have an entire community patetioning to get anything else possible out our way. Sickening how this company operates.

Outrageous prices compared to time Warner. Horrible customer service. Ridiculous start-up feed, and billing is a nightmare. I was a customer for 6 months and had to switch.
Our phone line had a buzzing noise, called to ask someone to check on it and they fixed it the next day. Called to let us know and asked that we let them know if we had anymore problems.

Ridiculous the amount of money Im paying each month JUST for wireless internet. Its about time to find a new provider. For the amount of money Im paying you guys just for Internet, I could be getting CABLE and Internet through another provider.
