The barber was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about how my hair should be cut. She talked to me about my desired style and suggested alterations based on my head shape and the way my hair grows naturally. The straight shave was the first I had recieved professionally and left me feeling clean and relaxed. I highly recommend this shop and will be visiting again in the future.

They listen to your hair goals and coach you on how to achieve them if its not possible at the moment.I only had a general idea of what I wanted with this most recent style and am so stoked with how Claire decided to execute it!Wether you have a specific vision or want to give them creative freedom, your bound to leave there looking good! The warm neck shave and shoulder massage at the end are quite lovely touches as well.

Ok so I honestly seldomly leave reviews, however felt it was definitely warranted in this case. I got my hair cut by David and he did such an amazing job!! I felt comfortable and confident in his abilities the entire time and he was very nice and made great conversation while I was in his chair. When I first arrived he was super friendly and asked what I was looking for and I showed him a couple pictures of what I was going for. He even asked if there was anything on my head (moles, ect.) that he should know about so he could plan the cut around it. Ive never been asked this before and actually really appreciated it! He also asked what my pronouns were and that made me feel even more comfortable knowing that they would be respected. From the few pictures I showed him he transformed my hair into something so gender euphoric for me! It looks exactly how I had hoped it would. He was very precise in how he cut it and styled it. The hot towel and massage at the end were an added bonus! So not only did I look and smell great from the products but I felt great too. 10/10 would highly recommend anyone come and get their hair done here. I had an amazing experience and will definitely be back.

Best cut I’ve had in a long time.

I have been in Chico, Ca for the past 6 months and Ive tried two barber shops during my stay here. The first one doesnt deserve to even be mentioned here... Needless to say, I went there once. But I am so thankful to have found Chop Shop soon after! I can genuinely say that they have elevated what it means to be a top barbershop to me. Not only are they awesome people that give great cuts, but they separate themselves from the competition by actually looking after you! Until them I thought my job was to tell barbers what I wanted and they were to just carry out my order, no questions asked. However, they of course take your request seriously, but also apply their knowledge and give RECOMMMENDATIONS accordingly. So much so that I always felt comfortable talking to them about skin and hair care and other things which I never felt comfortable talking about with anyone else. This to me is enough to call them experts at their craft because thats what professionals are supposed to do, yet is exactly what NO OTHER BARBER has done for me. Thanks again for the experience! You guys are awesome; if Im out here again and need a cut, best believe Im going straight to you.

Things I love from a barber shop:Ability to make an appointment online.Barbers who take time to do a great job and take pride in their work.Down to earth people.David & Claire knock it all out of the park! Make an appointment online, head in, leave looking good. If the price seems a little high, thats for a good reason. This is not a 10 minute buzz. They take their time to line you up perfect and make sure you look great. Ive never had a barber invest as much time into my head as they do here. Highly recommended.
