Weve been officing at Novel Coworking West Loop since May of 2020 - its been a great overall experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. Communications are very good and theyve demonstrated very good flexibility. Our suite has good climate controls and we feel the office space is very secure. I highly suggest Novel Coworking! Weve resided in the 318 W Adams location for over three years now and love our suite. Our company out grew our original space and the Novel team made our transition to a bigger suite very simple. We have gained great customers within the building as well. The staff is nice and host events throughout the year!

318 Novel coworking team provides a great environment to work in. They have gone the extra mile to make work life fun, less stressing and enjoyable, from featuring a company within the building to holiday festive cocktails. In times like these, Kelsey and Liz bring a smile or quick laugh to the day with a friendly chat or some fun treats. They have also tended to our office plant while we were out of the office due to Covid. I highly recommend obtaining an office space here. Dont forget to stop on 17 and say high and thank you to the wonderful staff.

Shout out to the ladies in the front!!!! You guys are awesome! Thanks for making coming to work a little easier.

I have had a space at Novel West Loop Chicago for two years. While I have not been able to use it during the pandemic, I had a great experience prior to it. The staff was always available either in person or using their easy-to-use app. The location is great for me as I take the Metra into the city and can be in the office in 5 minutes. I tend to walk to as many of my meetings and events in the Loop, West Loop, River North, Gold Coast and South Loop. This Novel location is a great place to make that walk from.

We opened a satellite office at 318 W. Adams about a year ago and have had a great experience. Novel was very accommodating with our move in schedule and had our office all ready to go with furniture and our logo on the door. My employees have really enjoyed the environment and we have always gotten rave reviews from clients for the convenient location and nice amenities.

Novel Coworking has a fantastic management team, friendly and helpful community managers, and great perks! The common areas have a relaxed yet collaborative ambiance that promote both creativity and productivity. Facilities are well maintained, but if there is an issue you can be confident that it will be quickly resolved by Novels maintenance staff. Who can beat their location? Being in the heart of the West Loop and across the street from the Sears/Willis Tower, means you are central to everything that is Chicago commerce and more.

The atmosphere at Novel West Loop is amazing... From the community managers to the companies / entrepreneurs in the building, its always buzzing with positive vibes and everyone there is so friendly and supportive of one another - perfect setup for networking, or you can be as private as youd like. There are always pre-planned or on the fly events to help everyone better connect and have fun while cranking out some work. If youre in the market for a work space, NWL is a great spot.

I am very pleased with our experience working with Novel. We were able to find a comfortable space that fit within our budget, and their team was very accommodated throughout the selection process. Through our partnership with Novel, we also have been able to network with a variety of companies, many of which have become current clients of ours. Novel also has many buildings in various cities throughout the U.S, which is extremely beneficial as we continue our national expansion. I would highly recommend Novel and I will definitely be using them again for future opportunties.

Novel CoWorking west loop is perhaps the best CoWorking space I’ve ever been in. We also have the best community managers in Jana, Liz, and Sara. Novel CoWorking is located next to the third-tallest building in the United States and the Western hemisphere – and the 23rd-tallest in the world. Which makes Novel the best CoWorking space in Chicago in my opinion. We have new floors to start the new year and I’msure more improvements to come in 2020. So come in and speak with Jana our community manager and go over some options for your company. Overall, I love my experience with Novel and all the new friends I met in my short time here.

Staff is pretty great (Sara & Michael specifically) - while there are always issues with building renovations and/or technical issues out of their (Level Offices) control, the Level team is pretty amazing about fielding questions, updates, etc. And, theyre funny. No building is perfect but theyre patient and manage those issues well - and really try to make adjustments when asked/able. And, I enjoy the occasional snack parties, etc.

We are so happy that we found the Novel location at 318 W Adams. We were stuck between permanent locations and needed a 6-9 month solution for our city team. UPDATED: We moved Eight-Bot, Inc. into the Novel at 318W Adams almost almost three years ago now. They have been extremely accommodating as we have grown. Novel (previously Level Office) has been very helpful in scaling our office space as our needs have changed. They are easy to work with and when we have had issues (rarely) they have been quick to have them resolved. I feel like, as they have grown, this attention to detail has taken a hit, at least at this location (hence 4 stars rather than my previous 5 star rating). They still eventually respond to and resolve our issues, but it is definitely taking longer than it has in the past. I do have different expecations for this location though as they are much less expensive than other alternatives we have explored. I know well that I would be hard pressed to find something that beats the location, price, and amenities for an organization like ours located in downtown Chicago.

Level Office has been a tremendous office partner and coworking space as we have launched our business. The staff is responsive to our needs and concerns. They also look for opportunities to deepen communication with their tenants. The office and my neighbors in the space have been most welcoming. Im genuinely concerned with the number of 4 and 5 star reviews. The elevators are terrifying and barely function. Staff is highly unresponsive and unapologetic for mistakes. The talk of the 18th floor lunch room is always about how poor the staff is here. If youre certain youll never need anything followed up on this is the place for you.Edit: I was contacted by the community manager after this review to address my concerns. So they at least follow up on the public perception. We will work on rebuilding our trust and communication.

The common space: clashing decor and a broken aesthetic, like some misguided, sad imitation of WeWork. And the shared working area consists of perhaps two tables (the remainder are rented out), which you probably wouldnt learn from their sales pitch alone. The free coffee is mediocre when the machine is working properly, and awful when it isnt. The upper floors are tolerable if not on the nicer side, but if youre on the lower floors, its awfully depressing. But all offices share these fine traits in common: the furniture and office chairs are creully uncomfortable, the desks are a waiting migraine if you ever find yourself having to adjust them; and between the dim lighting and subpar ventilation, you feel like youre working out of a glorified closet. The staff tries and is friendly. The only nice thing I have to say about the place.

Level Office spaces are so convenient to the public transit lines. Ample room for co-working space with an easy-going culture of work, and that there are multiple locations for a co-worker to land at (given the busy meetings around the city) it offers an ideal landing pad for those whose work takes them on the go.

We looked at several types of Co Working and Private Office spaces: WeWork, Industrious, and Level. The key for us was reducing overhead expenses and maximizing our ability to re-invest in the company, environment, access, etc. Level wins hands-down. Staff, space, etc., people are awesome too.

I have worked from 25+ WeWork and Regus offices and they have all been much better than this Novel location. This place is horribly mismanaged. No hot water in mens bathrooms, bottom-of-the-barrel furniture, staff that is spread too thin, leaky ceilings in offices, and randomly getting locked out of the building because my keycard stopped working. The management is extremely slow to fix core issues and is instead investing in superficial cosmetic upgrades.

I have been giving Novel my business for almost a year now. Not too long ago, I expanded office services to a second location which Novel almost got my business for too..except they messed that up. You see, when I inquired as to whether I would get a discount for expanding to a second location (what I felt was a logical possibility), I was met with a sense of tude.Novel rep: There wouldnt be a discounted rate to add 1 additional Virtual Office. Do you know which Center youd like to be at?You can interpret the message and its level of politeness/appreciation for being a current customer yourself. I copy and pasted it. To me, it seems quite dismissive. Also, apparently paying for mail scanning service isnt enough to actually get mail scanned to you or get notified that you have mail. You have to let them know your email too...despite them already knowing your email. In fact, it is the only way we have ever communicated. 🤦🏽‍♂️Ive specifically asked for the status of my mail before as I had a piece of mail seemingly missing. Turns out it made it, I just wrongly assumed I was getting the service that I paid for or at the very least would get notified when I have mail. Bad assumption? Apparently not, as my new office company (Office Evolution) does that and I dont even pay them for a scanning service. My first time walking into Adams st Novel Coworking office went like this. I had an appointment to use a private office with a client and arrived a little early. Despite the office being unused, I was never asked if I wanted to move my appointment time up, was not given a tour, was not shown my mailbox, was not told I had mail, nothing..the rep just invited me to wait for my appointment time and dissapeared.Forgivable, as after all it was me who set the time and they just seemingly didnt care to ask or have the organization / training to address the possiblity I had never been there before. To this day I still dont even know where my mailbox is at Novel or how to access it. What really bugs me though, is now I come to realize there has been a miscommunication all along and they just didnt have an email on file to scan my mail and send me.........yet we only communicate by email.........okay.....My first time walking into the offices of Office Evolution: immediately recognized as my first time in, thanked for my business, given tour of facilities, showed where my mailbox is and given the keys for it, invited to come in and work whenever Im in the area. There are things you need to take seriously when it comes to your business. Your office space is one of the foundations. Will your landlord /community manager treat you like a partner in business or as if you are on a 10 year lease where it doesnt matter how you are treated or how well they do their jobs to support your business because you are stuck with them anyway until your lease expires? My experience with Novel is they at times show no sense of customer service, organization, or appreciation for my business. It seems according to other negative reviews that my sentiment is nothing new.As a business owner myself, Im disappointed this is whom we chose to do business with out of several options we had. However, there will be changes on our end that will involve never doing business with Novel again. The message has already been made clear. We are a measly percentage of their revenue and dispensable. Time to move on. Dont worry, we are on it.
