Great place for my child and myself! Master Asad is a motivating and supportive teacher and respected expert in these martial arts. Really glad we found this dojang and community.

Were so glad to have discovered Pure Woori! My daughter had an active summer and when the school year started we realized she needed more physical activity in her life. Master Asad is an incredibly skilled teacher, and he has created a wonderful community. I love how hard work, respect, and responsibility are honored. My daughter responds well to the structure, is proud of her accomplishments, and has fun at every class!

My son started here at 4 years old and he loves it. The classes are mixed belt and age and there is a lot of emphasis on students helping each other and working together. Master Asad is an excellent teacher, student progress at their own pace, not just mastering the skills- kicks, form, breaking, sidestep, blocks etc., but learning life skills as well. I also take the adult classes which are also very good. Although the atmosphere is very positive and family oriented we train very hard, sweat and are serious about our training.

Pure Woori Taekwondo & Hapkido is fantastic is every way! Children and adults of all abilities are welcomed and taught skills in Taekwondo and important life lessons as well. The Master is an extraordinarily talented, patient, and caring teacher. My child loves his lessons there and he loves Master Asad. Pure Woori is truly a great asset to the Hyde Park community and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

My kids have enjoyed Taekwondo at this studio for several months now. I have found the class to provide not only great instruction but the necessary discipline and structure expected at the adult level martial arts level. My kids are looking forward to earning their belts and hopefully progressing to the competition level.

My kids LOVE Pure Woori. My son says he would give it 5 and a half stars if that were a choice. Master Asad is fantastic with the kids. Not only does Taekwondo give my kids a chance to run around and burn off energy in the long Chicago winter but they learn respect, how to have confidence in oneself, and body/mind focus. I cant say enough good things about this program!

Master Assad makes Taekwondo fun! He has a natural gift at engaging kids. My child likes that he is constantly giving tips and that he doesnt get upset if they forget something.

Mater Asad is the best! You wont find anyone like him. You can train 6 days a week, and the fellow students are very supportive.

Two of my children (ages 8 and 14) started at Pure Woori and are both enjoying it tremendously. I think its very good for them.

Training at Pure Woori Taekwondo & Hapkido Academy provides a positive environment that is like a big family. Master Asad is personable and he has a great sense of humor. His teaching techniques are some of the best I have seen. It is a delight watching him build the students’ self-confidence, skills and character. He, also, finds the time to give his students individual counsel and assistance on challenges they face, not only in class; but, away from class. This includes problems they may have at school or at home. I love the way Master Asad intertwines character building throughout his students’ physical training.Putting my grandson in his class is one of the best decisions we have made as a family.You cannot go wrong taking Martial Arts at Pure Woori Taekwondo & Hapkido Academy, from Master Asad.
