Joined earlier this Summer and couldnt be happier. Ive been crossfit-ing almost a decade now and Wells Street Fitness has a good culture, programming, coaches, and offers extra classes like Yoga and Boxing. I enjoy coming in, and they also take covid seriously which I definitely appreciate.
After moving from San Diego, CA to Chicago (and dropping in at several boxes) I struggled to find a box that had the same welcoming, friendly and inviting community as my last box. Wells Street Fitness made me feel very comfortable and coaches are all very knowledgeable; I signed up after my first class. Highly recommend Wells Street Fitness.
Couldnt be happier with my time spent here. The vibes are off the chart. No matter what fitness level you are these guys will make sure to tune the days workout for you. They demonstrate each move and make sure you can safely do it before continuing. Not only that but they have words of encouragement and great tunes blasting while you challenge yourself to get through the daily workout. They remember your name and ask how youre weekend was. So its like Cheers, your favorite dance club, and boot camp all in one. Needless to say you leave every workout with a lot of sweat, a smile, and a huge sense of accomplishment. Id highly recommend this gym no matter your fitness level. You will certainly come out of the other side physically and mentally stronger than before.
This gym is truly one of a kind. Not only do you get highly skilled trainers, but a personal experience to help with whatever your specific workout needs are. The gym has created a responsible and inviting environment around COVID to ensure everyone has a safe and fulfilling workout. I don’t know where I’d be if I hadn’t found Wells St. Fitness.
This box is THE BEST! The coaches are all knowledgable, attentive and scale workouts as needed. No matter your age or fitness level they coach you where you are. The atmosphere is friendly and feels like one big get fit family. I started with a 6 week challenge never left.

Wells Street has expert coaches, training, and instruction. The gyms programming will push you to improve functional fitness, strength and overall performance. Wells Street Fitness helps me meet and exceed my physical readiness standards in the Army Reserves.
I love the fact that its such and intimate yet new vibe type setting all the employees treat you as if youre important, and the place is super clean as well as great equipment love it myself Id recommend it to others.
This is the best choice I made during quarantine. Highly, highly recommend anyone come in and work on themselves through these guys! 🙌🏻

Wells Street Fitness is the kind of place that Im proud to bring visitors from out of town (when were not in a pandemic, of course!) The coaches are knowledgeable and supportive. The WODs are challenging and diverse. Theres a great sense of community too. The price tag of any CrossFit-style gym is always a bit alarming, but Wells is worth the cost.
Love the community here! Not your typical gym for sure. John, Josh, Josh & Danny are great coaches. I was extremely out of shape and also tore my shoulder at the start of the pandemic. The team here helped modify movements to fit my needs and the quality coaching has gotten me so much stronger. The gym also has a special layout for social distancing. Everyone gets his/her own designated space with your set of designated equipment - so no sharing or waiting on that person whos doing it for the Gram lol! Highly recommend!!
Great program and great people. In a few months, I lost weight and developed some musculature. Highly recommend.

Dropped in here while in town for work and am so glad I did. Signing up for Drop In online was convenient and easy process. Usually when I drop in while traveling it can be a bit awkward at first and uneasy but this box was top notch. The people were kind, helpful, and welcoming and Coach Josh was awesome; he provided extra direction helping me with lifts and corrected my form when needed. Hopefully I have a chance to come back!

This place is amazing. I have an injured knee and Dr. Sean and his personal trainer are so knowledgeable and professional. They evaluated my condition and suggested exercises for me to do. I have been diligent with the Rehap and my knee is doing so much better. Highly recommend!!!!
AMAZING! One of the best in the city. No drama, no fuss, great coaches and friendly open atmosphere. Unlike so many this place welcomes you with open arms. If you want results and a program that works for your needs then this is the place for you. The 3 owners are hands on and great guys.
Top notch.I travel extensively for work and have visited dozens of gyms. Id put this one at the top of the list.I was lucky enough to call this gym home for a few years and always love coming back. The cleanliness is the first thing that jumps out at you. The second is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff that makes you feel at home.
Don’t waste your time at a typical gym, Wells Street Fitness provides goal oriented, proven workouts that will push you and make you better in the process for the same price of a typical gym membership. Essentially you get the feeling of having a personal trainer while working out alongside others with the same drive and passion for fitness as you. I would Highly recommend this gym to anyone serious about results. 10/10
Great gym and staff. Much larger than it looks from the outside. Challenging but still manageable. Sean and Josh are terrific. Highly recommend if you find your typical gym routine stagnating!

Best move Ive made this year to get in shape. Sean and Stephen have done more for me in 5 months than years of working out on my own. Join and get your butt kicked but its worth it!!

I highly recommend Wells Street CrossFit to everyone. It’s not only a great box for experienced CrossFitters, but the coaches make it perfect for beginners as well. Their knowledge and the attention they provide is so telling to the fact that they really care about your progress. WSCF offers everything you need from mobility and strength training to intense metabolic conditioning with some yoga even thrown in there. On top of that the facilities and equipment are immaculate. I’m so glad to part of this community.
I took one of my first CrossFit classes here the other day and I had a really great time. I am more of a novice when it comes to CrossFit classes and culture, but I felt very welcome and I plan to take more classes there in the future.
I would highly recommend Wells Street CrossFit to anyone living in or visiting the Chicago area. I took their classes for a couple of weeks while in town and had nothing but great experiences. Coaches Sean & Stephen were excellent. They both gave lots of individual attention and they were both clearly very knowledgable about the workouts and about appropriate warmups, stretches, mobility, etc. The workouts were challenging for all levels and a lot of fun. The space is big and its a plus that they also have in-house yoga classes.
The HIIT BURN class is amazing! The coaching staff really works to ensure that each athlete (yes, I said athlete) feels confident and strong through out their workout. Even as a newbie to the HIIT world I was able to build my strength and now feel like I can accomplish any workout thrown my way, something I never would have imagined! For the first time in Chicago I feel like I have a great home gym with a support system that helps push me to be the strongest version of myself! Its an incredible atmosphere at WSCF!
Great coaching staff! Their focus on proper technique allows members of all skill levels to come in and start with the basics. Not your typical bro sesh crossfit gym....everyone is welcome.
This place is more than just a place to workout, it’s a community of people. The owners and staff are friendly and approachable and are truly interested in you achieving your fitness goals. If you even have a remote interest in crossfit, this should be the location you go to. Some of the more intimidating aspects of crossfit are made approachable and learned over the course of time under careful watch of the coaches. If you have previous injuries or haven’t worked out in a while, everything is scalable down to your level. Do yourself a favor and invest in your health by being a member here. A great crossfit gym, with even better members and owners surrounding it.
I have to say, I was pretty intimidated about Crossfit. With Wells Street Crossfit, though, they make it a very safe environment if you are new to this.The coaches are very knowledgeable and kind, and give you the scale options if you arent quite doing the prescribed workout.Also, I have been to other Crossfit gyms, and this is, hands down, the cleanest I have been to!
