I moved into The Nest at Northeastern Illinois University last August. I have resided here for the past 10 months and I have already created lifelong memories and friendships. I have had nothing but a most pleasant experience here thus far. Everything from the location, the friendly residence staff, the actual student housing units, and the in-residence amenities are great. The Nest has been an unforgettable and convenient supplement to my college journey.

All the amenities are nice and all but they really don’t care about their residents and if you want to change rooms because of personal reasons they will take a month to move you because they don’t care. They also try and make you feel bad or that leaving is a bad idea if you feel as though the nest is not a good fit. The living is double the tuition and they don’t put that money to good use instead they are bringing t-pain(that no one has cared about since 2008) and put tv’s in all the rooms instead of making living cheaper truly not a great place to live there’s a lot cheaper places just around the school.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The rooms are beautiful but the staff is rude and a mess. Please do not move here if you don’t have to. I hope at least one person sees this and does not move in. They tell you inaccurate information and don’t know what the hell they’re doing. The staff neglected to tell us we were getting a new roommate until after they had moved in. They act like they’re doing YOU a favor yet you’re the one paying more than $800 a month to live here. Way overpriced for them to treat you the way they do. PLEASE save your money and move into an apartment off campus. I move out in 127 days and trust me I am counting them down.

Northeastern has been well known as an affordable commuter school for years, but with the opening of the Nest residence hall it is becoming something more. I wouldnt even call the Nest dorms because they are really like campus apartments. If you get the chance take a tour of the place, and I promise you will fall in love with it like I did.

The rooms and apartments are new and modern with great appliances. The internet is fast and available throughout the whole building. The gym is open 24 hours 7 days a week which is great for a busy schedule.

Very nice people and dorm are very nice

Nice on the inside, but not feasible nor pleasant as a resident. Being the front of the newspaper of the whole University’s newspaper is not a good look. A lot of the residents hated the living conditions under the Management that changes every year and had to move out. Even as a previous RA, it was not worth the money living on campus. And other students had similar feelings about the nest, and everyone moved out the dorms.

Rooms are nice, made memories with students, but it is not a pleasant stay. Management always changes because they always quitting, and students never stay usually past a year tops.

Nice modern apartment buildings with small refrigerators, good room size for a dorm room, game room, gym room, study rooms, nice sectional couches, and horrible management. Newest and modernest building of the school but ridiculous administration.

This place sucks 0 stars- some improvements were made need more people on staff with common sense-they dont know what their doing ??? management has changed many times - nice apartments that are overpriced - super inconsistent with the rules change all the time-they enforce on certain people.Im counting down the days until I move 120!
