If I could give them negative stars, I would. The manager, Javier Garcia, is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever had to deal with in any type of business from the very beginning to the very end when we finally decided we would use another moving company to move my parents stuff from Cleveland to Puerto Rico. There’s ZERO communication, you have to hound them in order to get a reply or an answer to anything. No replies to emails or phone calls. After a date was set and the quote given we called to give him additional information and he acted like he knew nothing about the move (after over a month of corresponding via email) and told us the date was no longer available. After he finally realized he had already confirmed the date in writing to us we set everything up for the move. We called him to give him payment since there was no communication for payment. He explained a deposit would be requested 1-2 days before the move. The day before, still no call so again, we called him. Javier’s response? “I’ll call you later for it, if you want”... what?! Since this move was arranged from out of state we coordinated with the storage facility where they were picking up at for access and with someone to drive into town to be there when the driver got there, as per instructions from Javier. Day of the move? No show, no call, no email, no phone call, no text, NOTHING!! It was scheduled for a Saturday, we didn’t get a hold of anyone until Monday afternoon because WE kept calling and the “oh well, it is what it is” tone in his voice was the last straw. He literally couldn’t care less. Horrible company.
I shipped 5 very large boxes from Chicago to Puerto Rico, door-to-door, and they took care of the Hacienda (Taxes) papers too. They include the boxes and the tape, and I was able to have them pick up the next day at the storage place for a lot less than shipping it through the mail, UPS, or other moving services were estimating. It was delivered in about 6 weeks, which was a good deal of time under their original estimate and is perfectly reasonable shipping time to Puerto Rico. The boxes were in perfect condition, no issues.I can see why people would stress out when they go to the Chicago office, they sort of seem a little scattered. But theyre fine and they know what theyre doing. I would recommend them and would use their services again.
Where do I start? This company took close to 3 months to have my items delivered to Puerto Rico from Chicago, IL. They couldnt give me updates when I requested them and well....lost some of my items. Guess what? Even though I insured my items, I was only paid 50.00 for my lost items. How GREAT HUH? Horrible customer service, even worse service and lets not say the outrageous prices they charge. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. ITS A NIGHTMARE
I suggest everyone stay away from this company. They have zero respect for you or your time (after they take your money). Theres always a surprise with cost and arrival time. They dont communicate well within their own teams, let alone to customers. Poor service, poor communication skills. Youre better off paying a little more with someone else.

My family is very pleased by the service we received from this company. They moved us from Chi town to the 305 and it arrived right on time. They even called me a few days eaely from Miami so i could book my flight down so i can receive my stuff. Everything came out perfectly, they even shipped two of our cars and it came out perfect. We had originally planned to drive it all down before we realized hiring a packing and unpacking crew plus the gas would habe tripled the cost of just using this company. We couldnt possibly be happier.
I was very happy to support a Puerto Rican moving company, being a Puerto Rican myself, but after 8 weeks of still waiting for my stuff to get to Chicago and the poor communication and customer support I’ve been offered, I can no longer trust La Rosa del Monte’s services again. Everytime we call for an update there is a new excuse or story as to why our stuff is late. They will tell you the container arrived to Chicago one day and then tell you that it still hasn’t arrived a couple of days later. If you want peace of mind and want to trust the company you are paying for, do not use this company. I wish the experience would’ve been different since I was so proud to have found a worldwide known, affordable moving company from the place I love most. Please work on improving your services La Rosa del Monte. It is not fair to be so poorly informed and untrustworthy when a person is literally trusting you guys to move their life to another place.
I used this company to move my things from Chicago to Puerto Rico. Among all the things I needed to get to Puerto Rico there was an antique kitchen table and a tv, they said that I didn’t have to pack those myself because they make wooden boxes for that kind of things and that once they arrive and delivered the employee was going to open the box and leave the article in the kitchen or living room were it was supposed to be in the house. They asked if I wanted to insure the shipment and I said yes. I was told that the insurance covered up to 1,000 in damages but that I was not going to have any issues because none of my things cost above 1,000. I received my stuff 2 months later, both tv and table were wrapped in paper one of the legs of the table is broken and the TV looks like someone smashed it with a hammer. I made the the claim with Rosa del Monte in Puerto Rico and 3 weeks later they send an email saying that the 1,000 in insurance is divided between every article and since I have 13 pieces they have to pay me 76.92 per broken pice, a total of 330.76. They asked for an quote for fixing the table and the quote was for 350, what they are going to return its not even enough to fix the table. They are very nice, but they give you the wrong information to get you to use their service and when you receive your things they are broken and you are supposed to replace them with 76 dollars. I don’t recommend them, I will never use them again and I advise everyone looking for a moving company to NOT USE LA ROSA DEL MONTE.
I totally agree with the other customer. this company is so unprofessional and lacks customer service skills. No one speaks English and they give you the round around. My mistake was not doing my homework like I usually do. I will be reporting them to the BBB as well as Consumer Law and others. A Company like this should not be in business and get away with what they are doing to customers. They need to be held accountable for their actions (lack thereof). The thing is since they deal with a lot of Hispanics they feel they will get away with it. Not the case here. Legal action!
We sent two large boxes and a 60 inch TV to Puerto Rico and everything arrived safely. Yes its true their estimate on arrival may be a week or two off but to us the most important thing was that our items arrived safely and that they werent lost. My family lives in the middle of a rainforest in a countryside where youre lucky if you get any phone signal, cable or even water supply so we very happy that our items reached our home.
The worst service I have received is from this company. My things took 3 months to arrive now they are telling me that I have to pay extra to deliver. But they will not cover the cost for all expenses I had because how long they took to deliver. They are blaming Maria for my things not arriving on time but the reality is another. My friends sent their things take same day than me and they received their move 3 weeks ago. I will never use them again.
We contracted this shipper in June 2015 and December 2017. My items were shipped from Chicago to Puerto Rico. They picked-up as scheduled. I received great service from managers Javier and Jose and the pick-up crew. The items they packed arrived undamaged (display cabinets, large decorative mirrors, marble top table, washing machine, cloth dryer, 3 flat screen TVs, patio umbrellas, lawn chairs, bicycle, artwork, collectibles, and other items). All arrived undamaged. I shipped 177 boxes of household items and all arrived undamaged except for three glass cups I packed, which cracked around the rim. I just couldnt believe the care given my shipments in Chicago and in Puerto Rico. Delivery to my home in Puerto Rico was within 6 weeks. Pricing and insurance were excellent.

Nothing good can be said about them. Very poor service. The most unprofessional people Ive ever dealt with. They broke lots of items, lost one box and they dont even tell you when your things are coming. The guy who answers the phone doesnt even speak English. We paid 4k+ to ship our things to PR, including a motorcycle. Which hasnt arrive and they cant tell us when. Using LA Rosa del Monte has been a huge head ache. They are really bad. Very poor customer service and they take advantage of the fact that they are the only company that provides services to PR. Id rather give my things to good will than pay LA Rosa del Monte.

THEY BROKE MY TV ITS CRACKED THEY BROKE MY MICROWAVE THEY BROKE A HANDFULL OF COFFEE CUPS THEY BROKE A PICTURE FRAME I HAD. THE FEE TO BRING UP TO THE 3RD FLOOR WAS $75 AND I HAD $100 I ASKED FOR CHANGE HE SAID THEY DONT HAVE ANY I SAID WELL.... I NEED CHANGE HE WENT TO ASK THE OTHER WORKERS WHEN HE CAME BACK WITH THE CHANGE HE THATS ALL WE HAD TO ATE .. ( THATS NOT MY PROBLEM ) WHEN THE GUY WAS PUTTING THE STUFF DOWN HE WAS NOT DROPPING IT DOWN SLOWLY. AFTER THEY WERE DONE HE TOLD ME TO SIGN OFF THAT I RECEIVED THE SHIPMENT. WHICH I DID WHEN I STARTING UNPACKING I NOTICED ALL THE STUFF THAT WAS BROKEN. WHEN I CALL FOR THE CLAIM ( SINCE I PAID EXTRA FOR THE INSURANCE ON MY SHIPMENT ) THEY SAID I DONT GET A REFUND BECAUSE I SIGNED THE PAPER THAT SAID IT WAS ALL GOOD WHEN I ACUTALLY WAS TOLD TO SIGN THAT I RECEIVED THAT PACKAGE. IM HIGHLY UPSET THAT THIS CHEAP/UNPROFESSIONAL/GHETTO MOVING COMPANY. I WANT MY CLAIM TO BE PROCESSED AND GET A REFUND FOR MY DAMAGE ITEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BE CONTACTING THE ORLANDO NEWS/ BBB / ATTORNEY GENERAL /Update: After reporting them to the BBB they still did not want to compensate for the damages stating I signed the form etc ( in which I was mislead about ). Aside from that the head here in Orlando IVETTE was super rude and unprofessional and just didnt care. Unfortunately I had a 2nd shipment sent from Boston before this happened. I will keep you guys updated!! I WILL DEFITNETLY NOT SIGN OFF ON ANYTHING UNTIL I OPEN EVERY SINGLE BOX AS THE WORKERS WAIT OUTSIDE UNTIL I REVIEW ALL AND EVERY SINGLE THING I SENT!!!!

So bad. But bad experience. Hire this company on Dec 2/2020. As of today Feb 5/2021 I have not received my move yet. When I contact them they say they have a wagon to empty. 2 months ago? They are there and for receiving it, or emptying it, they charged half the money. Now they want to charge more than what the contract says. And not to mention that you have to take the move, rent a truck to take it to the warehouse. because they had no trips to Springfield. MA. However my car from Springfield Ma. To Marinette WI. It arrived the next day ... Is it the same address ??? I will NOT hire again ... Unprofessional bad CUSTOMER SERVICE ... arrogant very arrogant ... very disappointed. For being so well known I decided on them. I was wrong ... att. Mrs. CARMEN ALDEA. It is worth noting that there is only one person named Don José from Chicago, a very good person who tries to help out was not in his hands. The wagon had not arrived.

Excellent service !!! The move was from Puerto Rico to Indiana (I was delivered by the boys from downtown Chicago) and everything arrived at the indicated time and in perfect conditions. The staff was very attentive and helpful at all times from the first call for the quote and in the offices when I looked for the boxes. The excellent truck boys both in Puerto Rico and here in Chicago. I really did everything very well. Thanks for your excellent service and I recommend them 100% !!!
LITTLE INFORMATION ON CUSTOMER SERVICE
Sometimes I send boxes from Chicago to Florida and from other states and everything always went well and arrived well, but now I send from Chicago to Puerto Rico and I am very disappointed, they lost one of my boxes and I have been trying to get them solved for a month And whenever he called its the same, and then the insurance supposedly will pay me a pittance for the value of what was in that box. Very bad service to solve, they blame each other and do not solve anything. I was so upset that I would never send anything back with them and give them a bad reputation wherever I am. These people were so miserable that they dared to offer me $ 125.00 without even asking what I had in the box. Please, if you are going to send boxes or removals, look for a more responsible site, and that they are not scammers, because they are not responsible at all and do not even want to address the problem. This happened to me in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico and Chicago, and even after 3 months they did not send me the money.
