I am so happy with the services I receive here. I have struggled with unwanted facial hair growth for over a decade and tried laser and electrolysis elsewhere that did not work. I was understandably nervous about starting this new process after so many years spent not seeing results. Irina was so patient and understanding, and answered every one of my questions. She is incredibly gentle and takes her time to make sure youre comfortable throughout the entire process. The office is beautiful and super clean. Tamara is a wonderful aesthetician. I always leave facials with her feeling relaxed, and my skin never looks better. I used to break out a lot and I think her skin advice that led me to the right products (finally!) made a huge difference for me.

I paid almost a 400$ deposit the night before surgery I was rushed to hospital and had emergency surgery I emailed them that night and was told it didn’t matter they had to pay their nurse and my deposit was forfeited. I kept trying to email them and call but no response. I figured at least let’s try work something out considering I had a medical emergency but nope just bad business.

Thankful to have found PHR. Went for an Electrolysis consultation and was told the process may take up to a year. My hairs were dark, thick and plentiful (also Id damaged my skin from decades of tweezing). Started to see improvement after several months. Nearly a year later, and so happy with the results. I looked at a lot of places for electrolysis before deciding on Precision and Im glad I picked them. I read Irinas bio and wanted to work with her. She has been AMAZING! She is very nice, polite, knowledgeable, flexible, considerate, and professional. She is thorough and very precise. She is also very honest and will make sure you are comfortable throughout the process. I have truly seen a difference since working with her. Everything she told me would happen, has happened. I really love that she takes the time to educate you about hair, growth cycles, and even if she thinks other alternatives are better for certain areas instead of electrolysis. I have learned so much. She typically has a tight schedule but as long as you book in advance youll be fine. Do NOT wait until the last minute. She does have cancellations sometimes so definitely join the wait-list AND book a different date if the one you want isnt available yet. My friends and family are watching my progress to decide if they want to do this. My advice to them and you is do not start if you cannot commit to the process. You will waste lots of time and money. You must be serious! I have not worked with anyone else but everyone is always nice and courteous when Im there. I highly recommend Precision!

Electrolysis is a TIMELY PROCESS and in order to receive the results you want, you have to have patience and be committed to the process. I had discomfort at times, discoloration and scarring (which are normal) but my end results thanks to Irina, are absolutely priceless! Beautiful new/modern facility. All health protocols followed. New equipment and fresh sterile products open in front of me. As far as the service Ivana was so welcoming and professional. It’s absolutely refreshing and to be welcomed in places as triple minority. Ivana was patient and very skilled. She educated me during my consult and helped me make informed decisions. Considering that this service was for electrolysis and it’s uncomfortable to deal with, Ivana made the process as comfortable as possible given the circumstances. My partner used Precision Hair Removal for large-scale electrolysis twice after coming out as a transgender woman. Precision has decided for some reason to pair up with Dr. Zukowski for this, and both times we had horrible and uncomfortable experiences with him. He would not allow me to stand in the room while he applied anesthesia, and my partner relayed to me that he is incredibly rough while injecting ON THE FACE, and he is constantly pushing for plastic surgeries while alone with the patient, emphasizing facial feminization and breast augmentation. His verbiage can make trans people feel as if theyre not enough as they are. Each trans person has their own process for transitioning, shame on Dr. Z for using a vulnerable time to prey on their insecurities and push his own agenda. We did greatly appreciate our time with Dan, Tamara, Irina, Dagmara, and Reena, so I would suggest only signing up for their small-scale electrolysis sessions. We stopped using Precision because of Dr. Z, I would strongly suggest they find a new doctor who is more caring and kind to the patients.

This place is absolutely amazing!! Ivana is wonderful and I have seen amazing results with her electrolysis work. I am only giving them 4/5 because my first electrolysis technician was not such a great experience. My procedures with him were the most painful experiences Ive ever had and the results werent half as good as what I get with Ivana. Sadly I think I wasted my first 3 months by not getting the right technician but with all that said I highly recommend this place. Just be sure to speak up right away if you need someone new.

Irina is absolutely wonderful! I have been seeing her for a year and a half every 3 weeks and will continue to do so for the time being. At first, I was hesitant about electrolysis. However, this doubt went away after my first consultation and meeting with her. She was kind and patient and explained the procedure and aftercare. Although I initially went in for the hair removal on one part of my body, I am now on the fourth area! Electrolysis for permanent hair removal takes time (depending on how much hair one has and your skin type), but it has changed my life. I feel more confident and no longer hide or feel embarrassed about certain areas on my body. For example, for the first time in my life this year, I was able to wear a pony tail and not think twice about it. :) Irina is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and caring in this process - and it works! Choosing Precision Hair Removal was the best choice ever! The staff is friendly and professional. I had unwanted facial hair and Irina has done an amazing job of removing it. In the beginning she kept reassuring me that I would see results and its TRUE! I just told myself to trust her and do everything she recommended and its working great! Dealing with my facial hair was a daily battle for over a decade. I spent countless hours tweezing and shaving, picking at ingrowns and doing so much damage to my skin and self esteem. Prior to electrolysis I was extremely self conscious, I kept my chin down and avoided making eye contact when meeting new people. I was always hyper aware when others were in close proximity to me, it caused great anxiety because I just knew they were noticing my chin and lip hair. I began to carry around tweezers and/or razors everywhere and would panic if I didnt have one on hand. I was constantly comparing myself to others and was so envious of all the hairless faces surrounding me. I completely felt alone on my journey and the shame made me unable to share my struggle even with my close family members and friends. Even on days where my face was void of hair in its place was red irritated skin, acne, dark spots and scars from picking at my face to remove said ingrowns. It became a vicious all out war that I was losingAfter scouring the internet and trying every conceivable at home remedy with little to no results I stumbled upon a few articles about electrolysis, I was intrigued and dove in head first. I spoke to an angel of a woman named Bella that was practicing in this field and although she wasnt taking on any new clients she spoke to me at length on the topic and put me in contact with her trusted friend and colleague Irina Cardos. That phone call changed my life. Even though I had researched the topic at length by the time of my first consultation I was still quite nervous and very embarrassed to say the least but I was desperate and determined to try anything and everything to get rid of my unwanted hair. It did not take long for Irina to eradicate any remaining misgivings it felt like she was looking past my hair and bad skin and really seeing me. Its definitely not a one and done type procedure, it’s not instantaneous and while that can be frustrating it is well worth it, it can be uncomfortable even a tad bit painful at times but in my opinion less painful than tweezing or waxing with far better results. Nevertheless I am so glad I went through with it because even after the first treatment I saw a reduction in the volume of hair growing back and most of that hair came in finer. Our journey, and I say ours because she has been with me every step throughout offering her expertise as I lambasted her with question after question, reassuring me and dealing with my crazy schedule, has taken time and patience for both of us. Now fast forward roughly 9 or so sessions, It’s the best thing I have ever done for myself. I am confident and comfortable in my skin. I no longer avert my eyes or attempt to hide my face from others. It has been a freeing experience all in all I only wish I had known about this earlier in life.

Ive been seeing Dan for a while now for both electrolysis and skin care services and Ive been very happy with my results so far. Everyone knows skin concerns can heavily impact your self confidence, and he has helped me regain mine. In addition to peels and facials, Dan has a lot of product knowledge and has helped me to create a better home-regimen so the results last as long as possible between my treatments. It seems like the hair comes out easier when I exfoliate and hydrate my skin. The facility at Precision is always clean and the staff is the best at giving support and they are super accommodating. I first started electrolysis treatments here in January 2018, my first session being large volume facial electrolysis combined with breast area . I have been seeing Irina for electrolysis for about 4 months now and the results have been life changing! I was skeptical about electrolysis going in because of all the horror stories I read online. My biggest concerns were scarring, pain, and bad results. I have to say after my first appointment I was shocked by how minimal the pain was, and within a few hours my skin looked completely normal without any discoloration. On top of it all, my results have been spectacular. Majority of the hair is already gone and whatever grows in is much finer and lighter. Overall this was one of the best investments I have done for myself.

I drive from out of town for my appointments here. In total I’d gone to 8 other electrologists before finding Irina (at her old location where she was the only electrologist.) Now I tend to schedule with Ivana, only because Irina is booked out every time I’m making an appointment. Both are very skilled and efficient, I’ve never felt a hair being plucked when they are working on me. It’s truly astonishing how many practitioners will take your money just to pluck your hair!My timeline with them has been extended because of my distance from the clinic, I’m still not at 100% removal but I’ve been lazy about finishing as I feel the hair that’s left is barely noticeable. In truth I will be sad when I’m finally finished, there is a special connection you feel to someone that’s seen all the things you’re self conscious about (in very bright lighting!) and then made them go away forever. I started my electrolysis treatments here in July of 2018. I went somewhere else a year prior for 6 months, once a week for an hour and saw no results worth continuing. I was told that my hormones could be the cause of no results. Got my hormones checked and everything was fine. I decided to go somewhere else. When I came in for an appointment, I was nervous. I spent so much money before and didnt want to spend more on nothing. The place was super clean and the staff was super helpful. I came in with so much chin hair and now have a significant decrease. In fact, the pictures below are comparisons of the first day of treatment and my most recent visit before treatment (3 weeks of growth). I would have had a full beard before treatments with this place if I let my hair grow out for 3 weeks! The other location would see me for an hour, once a week, only clear out one side and leave my chin scarred. I see Daniel once every other week, he clears all the hair, my skin is actually lightening up and we are now down to 45 minute visits. I highly recommend this place. I am not done yet but I have seen more results in the 6 months of biweekly visits with this location than the 6 months of weekly visits with the prior business.

Precision Hair Removal improved my life. I promise you that is not hyperbole. Who they are, what they do, and how they do it helped me to significantly reduce my social anxiety and increase my confidence. Ill explain.Im a transgender woman and Ive been a client of Precision Hair Removal since 2015. I was given Irinas name by a mutual friend. Before scheduling any sessions, Irina suggested we meet and chat first. Which we did. She explained everything I needed to know to make an informed decision about having electrology done. She did a small test on a few facial hairs. This let me know what it would feel like and gave her lots of information about my hair and skin to allow her to tailor her approach to my best advantage.A month later I was at her Wilmette location to get my first large volume session. The environment was clinical, which is absolutely warranted and expected but not exactly warm or inviting. I was reclining on a treatment bed, bathed in bright light, an IV needle in the back of my hand, and two electrologists in white lab coats were leaning over me. Not cozy. On top of which it was my very first transition-related procedure of any kind. Needless to say I was more than a little bit nervous and was feeling quite vulnerable and unsure about the whole thing.Yet Irina and Belle (her partner at that time) were able to magically transform all of that. The atmosphere quickly changed. It actually began to feel laid back, like friends just hanging out. I even drifted off to sleep a few times. Eventually some lunch was brought in and we all took a break.During the afternoon they would frequently ask me about my comfort level and if I felt like I needed a few booster injections. If I said I was doing okay they would just continue on. If I said I could use more numbing everything would stop and I would get my boosters. Pain management decisions were always left to me.The whole day I was the only one who watched the clock or asked what time it was. The two of them were completely focused on three things: my comfort, their results, and getting a full clearing of my entire face if at all possible (it was and they did). To this day Im blown away by their display of dedication, concentration, and (lets face it) endurance.After a half-dozen or so of these sessions spaced about six to eight weeks apart I had so little facial hair left that the large volume sessions no longer made sense for me. At Irinas suggestion I switched to scheduling shorter sessions at the salon instead of continuing with the longer, more formal (and more costly) sessions in Wilmette. I still had a little patchy growth here and there but my beard was gone forever.I now use Precision for facials and eyebrow shaping as well as occasional maintenance electrolysis. Ive even used them for a round of chemical peels. All of which are done by Tamara (shes amazing!).At some point along the way I learned that a number of people fly in from around the country and stay in hotel rooms in order to book large volume sessions with Precision. I can completely understand why but am very happy that theyre just a quick car ride away for me.

Im thankful for finding Ivana. She saved my skin.I have tried many electrologists in Chicago area only to end up with burned skin, discoloration and no hair reduction. They will blame it on my hormones and my skin.Every time I will go to a consultation with new electrologist I found myself rushed to start treatments. All they care is to put you on their schedule despite the fact my skin was in horrible condition.After years of searching and unsuccessful treatments I decided to give a try to another place.When I came to Precision for consultation with Ivana I was refused in electrolysis treatments. I am so grateful and highly recommend Ivana. She is professional and very kind.For six months I am getting treatments at Precision. Incredible clean place with top of the notch equipment. Whole stuff is great.I started with my unibrow. I was tweezing, scratching and irritating the area what made it look horrible and pigmented.I was interested in doing my neck and ears in the same time but Ivana recommend to start with a small area first so I can understand more about this treatment. I followed her instructions as I learned this treatments are a little painful.Six months later I have little hair left and my skin looks much better. I am using a brightening serum as recommend by Ivana. I am so happy with my results.I book 30 min treatment. She is working on my eyebrows for couple minutes. The rest of the time is used to work on my ears and my beard line.Happy to give a positive reference that is honest and hard won.

This is NOT a sugar coated review...If you are looking into electrolysis I strongly recommend that you do research on what it ACTUALLY is. This is not a quick process, and it is just that, a process. If you are looking for a one time fix, this is not for you. But, If you want permanent results you have to be willing to put in the time and money for this. I did lots of that before even talking with Irina. My story started out with my chin and upper lip having just a few hairs. As the years went by the hairs became thicker and went from just a few to soooo many. I am a female and I for real had a mustache and beard!! Due to trying to get rid of them (waxing, pulling, shaving) the situation got worse. I was so self-conscious about my face, the face that everyone sees!! I found Irina after another place wasnt taking new clients. We discussed a plan and made my first appointment. And that day my life changed. I honestly could not be happier with the results. I told her what I wanted and she made it happen. Now I said this wasnt going to be a sugar coated review... this is permanent hair removal. It hurts quite a bit. The saying no pain no gain is soooo true here. If you follow exactly what Irina and her team tell you to do you WILL get the results you want. I got the exact results I wanted in 18 months. If you dont want to put in the time, money, and commitment that this takes please dont waste your time.

Preface this review by saying Laser Hair Removal does work, but how permanent it is depends on haircolor and skin color.Electrolysis is pretty expensive, but the cost-benefit comparison is simple: do you want to pay for 6-12 Laser sessions with hair regrowth and touchups or 4-10 hours worth or Electrolysis and never have to pay for hair removal again?In retrospect, for my hair/skintype I should have skipped Laser and only gotten Electrolysis. All of the staff have amazing bedside manner, while doing a tedious, precision-based task.Recommended.

Irina the owner is the sweetest person ever and I loved having her working on my face. Ivana also was amazing and very kind. I miss them already! The only pain I felt was the Lidocaine injections. I had my first ever facial done by Tamara. She was incredible and talks to you like a friend instead of a client. Overall I am so happy I choose to go here. I went to Precision Hair Removal and Skin Care for electrolysis and I couldnt be happier. Ive had excess hair growth on my face for as long as I can remember. Ive tried waxing, laser, shaving, everything, Ive even tried other places for electrolysis with no results. Valeria has been seeing me for quite a while now and I am so happy. My excess hair is almost completely gone and whats left has been reduced to barely noticeable peach-fuzz! I can finally reduce the amount of makeup I wear because I no longer need to cover up unsightly hair. I cant recommend her enough!

I saw two different elctrologists ( fancy, downtown- no results) before Irina. I dont usually take the time to do reviews, however this time I feel that my experience with Ivana at Precision Hair Removal deserves praise! Her experience and professionalism will keep me as repeat client, shes friendly and courteous. I used to pluck my grey chest hairs and couldnt keep up with the growth so I decided to try permanent hair removal, waxing and laser wasnt an option for me so electrolysis proved to be the best and most beneficial. Since I am extremely happy with Ivana and the results I plan on treating other areas such as my ears and cheek bones. I should also mention that her office facility is extremely comfortable, clean and well designed.

I had one treatment in the WIlmette office and was happy with the results overall although it was painful and very expensive, however for my second treatment (January 2019) which was set on a Tuesday I had made all my hotel reservations and travel arrangements. Friday night I get a call from Dan saying the Dr. had an emergency and would not be there Tuesday. Irina (the owner herself) just called me and was extremely apologetic about the situation. They are bending over backwards to get me in on Weds. so my arrangements will still work with a little tweaking on my part.

In December of 2017 I had an extensive hair removal session from Precision. From an informational speech that Irna and her staff presented, assessment of my growth photos and the treatment session they have been nothing but professional.I have a brain and spinal injury with limited movement of my neck and severe pain issues and they worked with my limitations without issue. They spent the whole day and evening working my entire face and neck. They pushed themselves to make sure that they finished the session rather than do it in a couple sessions which they didn’t have to do.If you are looking for hair removal, whether small or extensive like I had, I can’t begin to stress how pleased I am with them. I’m looking forward to the follow up in a couple months for the hair that wasn’t present at the time.

Im a transgender woman whos been a client of Irina Cardos for more than a year for facial hair removal. I drive 80 minutes each way to her place on the north side of Chicago to take advantage of her electrolysis expertise and exceptional personal care. I like that shes responsive to my needs and is so conscientious about giving the best service possible. She uses top of the line Apilus equipment and is producing excellent results for me. As hard as it may be to believe, I look forward to my electrolysis sessions with Irina because I know that with each visit I’m getting closer and closer to my goal. I had electrolysis treatments done by Ivana. She is kind and professional as everyone in this place.I started with a small area. The one nobody likes to talk about called Areola. I always thought Im the only one with this problem. It was making me self conscious. I was tweezing the hair causing a lot of irritation and i felt embarrassed to talk about.Ivana made me feel comfortable and explained very well the process what I greatly appreciate. The information available in internet will never give you the fool picture until you start your treatments. Electrolysis is the way to go If anyone has the same problem I had.I have no more hair on my first area. Now we are working on my upper lip and next is my eyebrows.Electrolysis treatments are not easy.First i had to stop tweezing the hair .(but i cut them short). It was challenging not to mess up with the hair.Second there is discomfort involved. YES...... ELECTROLYSIS HURTS BUT IT DOES WORK. I was using numbing cream before appointments and that helped a lot.

I am very glad that I found this salon. Ivana Proscurov is really a professional in her work. She found an approach to my skin and a year later there was almost no hair on the chin and above the lips. Im glad that finally got rid of unwanted hair.

UPDATE 06/24/20:I’d post another great review but google will only allow me to post one so I am updating. I recently went after reopening from COVID. I was very skeptical whether I should go or not but I am so dedicated to getting rid of all my hair that I decided to risk it. After my visit, I can say it wasn’t a risk! They wear masks and face shields the entire time and deep clean everything. They have breaks in between clients to ensure they have time for cleaning. I trust them with my health and safety and will definitely be going back soon to continue my electrolysis treatments.I’ve gotten South Pole electrolysis done three times now. I am a female and get everything, front and back, removed. Before I went I had my doubts of electrolysis. The price was a big concern with not knowing how many times I’d need to get it done or how many hours it would take. I had been waxing for about 12 years so my hairs were extremely corse and tough. After my first visit and healing I could see a noticeably big difference with the amount of hair and thickness of the hair. My second visit i achevied better results, and my third even better. I am very happy with the amount of hair that has been permanently removed and the softness of the hair I do have left.I have been worked on by a couple of the employees and they are very personable, friendly, and professional. They make the experience comfortable and relaxing and I enjoy my visits every time I go! The results are amazing and I am so glad I made the decision to get this done.

I went here because it was highly rated by other people but my results are devastating. The hairs on my face did thin out a little bit. They were sparse to start with but my main issue with their electrolysis service is that it damaged my skin and left permanent marks on my neck that doesn’t even need electrolysis and burns and needle marks on my upper lip and chin. There are also hair that were not removed and I don’t know why she wouldn’t removed the rest of the obvious hairs I am seeing. I was hoping that it will improve after the many sessions I have with them but this is the last time I am going here for electrolysis. The damage is just way too much. The first session I had with Ivanna was okay, not too painful and didn’t damage my skin but the rest of the 6 or 7 sessions I had with Valeria has always been painful and always left marks on my face. I thought the marks will go away after it heals but my husband said that my upper lip has grown darker in color and always notices the scars on my neck that she left during the 2nd session. I tried to switch techs and set up an appointment with Irinna at one time but per Valeria she said “why is your client making an appointment with me?” Which I find very unprofessional. Photos are posted down below. This is more than 24 hours after my session with Valeria.

Loved my first appointment with Ivana. Mildly painful, but then they wouldnt accept a Groupon given to me as a gift even though I personally purchased the first and the secondary was a gift. So I have to find elsewhere to go. Whatever.
