The cozy style of this bakery shop provides a unique sense of family-owned restaurant. From the outside view, the building might look dilapidated, however, once I enter it. My feeling is totally changed. The decoration inside makes me feel warm and tireless. Staffs are, of course, friendly. They provide useful information about what kinds of cheesecake they have since there are a lot! You can choose either buying a piece of it or a whole box (usually kept frozen). I ordered strawberry cheesecake. I have no doubt why it becomes famous and a signature. A star deducted solely comes from my unmatched preference since I prefer a denser cheesecake (what sold here is claimed to be Chicago style). Anyway, I still buy a big box of cheesecake.Aside note for anybody who wants to have main dishes like sandwiches (they are not served on weekend).

We go here at least a few times a year.If you love Elis Cheesecake, this is the place to go.Their factory and offices are located here. They also have a retail store and a cute little cafe where you can purchase sandwiches, slices of Cheesecake, along with cookies, ice cream, and other items.You can save money by coming here, and, in most cases get what you want for half the price in the regular stores.We went here for their cheesecake festival in the summer, they had samples of the majority of their cheesecakes along with kids entertainment, bingo and music. They also had other items for purchase such as hamburgers and hot dogs.Around the holidays, they have their famous dock sale when you can get even better discounts and bargains.My only complaint about their special sales is that they run out of popular items very, very quickly.

Elis is the best! Ive had two orders of the vegan lemon raspberry bites delivered now and for starters, theyre absolutely delicious. There were shipping issues with the most recent order (by fault of the carrier, NOT Elis) and the team at Elis worked closely with us to get a new cheesecake sent out at no cost and with a different carrier. Whats more, they sent the replacement with expedited shipping that they paid for. I recommend Elis to all of my friends--between the quality of their delicious treats and their customer service, I cant speak highly enough of them.

Cool place, but they dont do tours any more. All the bakery products were really good and they have discounted cheesecakes too. Very good service.

Unfortunately, I ordered a cheesecake online through Goldbelly for a birthday. Not only did the cakes arrive late but they were very warm to the touch and seemingly beginning to melt. Although shipping delays are beyond Elis Cheesecakes control, I wish the product wouldve been better packed in anticipation of a delay. My money was wasted on a product thats unsafe for me to eat. Disappointing experience.

Deserts are awesome. I tried multiple desserts -cheesecake, coconut macaroons, chocolate pecan cookie and butter tart. Every dessert was phenomenal. Staff was friendly and willing to make suggestions.

Main website says spend $30 get $10 of your whole order so i tried it and it didnt work!! Tried ordering more then $30 worth of green river cheesecake thinking maybe its $30 for the river cheese cake only but it wont let me it says the limit is only 8 slices in a red error sign on top which equal to $25 so you cannot even get to the $30 even if you wanted to to get the $10 off!! False advertising!! Makes no sense which mean this false advertising is very confusing!! One star until they fix this mess... look at the several pictures for clarification!! And errors..

When I came to pick it up the Best of Eli... was not the one I chose on the website...I explained this to Ragel Nunez, and he understood...he gave me a refund, and let me keep the other Cheesecake for the inconvenience! My favorite desserts! I have good memories from when my children were able to make their own cheesecake. Unfortunately thats no longer an option. This is the most reliable place to order for gatherings & huge parties. There are other delicious non cheese desserts as well. I love the convenience of ordering online or in person if Im in the area. Today was an awesome visit to their annual tradition. Great service. Theyre the best!

Simply the best Cheesecakes in the 🌎 world, from plain to a variety of flavors. A huge factory that makes the Cheesecakes and other tasty treats at at a nice Northwest side neighborhood. They have a cool store to buy Elis products, coffee and sandwiches, but is closed because of Covid-19. They have an outdoor tent where you can buy Elis Cheesecakes and other goodies at discount prices. 👍👍👍😎

Of course the desserts are always top rate. Since we couldnt go into the store they made curbside easy. It made a difference. Great food great people

The taste and texture of their cheesecake is much better than a lot of other famous places. The online ordering took some getting used to but the pickup was seamless and organized.

I ordered the lemon mixed berry cheesecake through the goldbelly site. It was absolutely the best cheesecake I have ever eaten. The topping with the berries set off the cheesecake perfectly. I highly recommend. It kept very well in the refrigerator for a week.

Easy parking and friendly staff, a fantastic selection of sale items on a dry erase board showed us what was available. I do miss (not really) going inside and having to look thru every cooler to find the flavor and size cheesecake that I was hoping to find a great job in these covid-19 times thanks

Very good cheeecake

Happily, they were open on Sunday and boy was I in for a surprise. Been awhile since I was there and I was pleasantly surprised. They have a small cafe with sandwiches, baked goods and, of course, cheesecake. That day if you bought a piece, you got to add your choice of toppings. The freezers were well stocked, prices were good and heart shaped cheesecakes were $5. While prices may seem high, they are about 30% of catalog prices from what I could see.

1000 thank yous for your chocolate vegan cheesecake! My throat swell shut if I eat dairy but that cake is amazing! I never thought Id be able to eat a cheesecake again and that one is amazing! Before I developed my sudden allergy, I ate Dairy for 30 years so I know good Dairy. And this cheesecake tastes exactly like the real thing. All my family and friends have tried it and they all have loved it and many of them have said its the best cheesecake theyve ever had in their life and they could eat regular cheesecake anytime they want but they want this one! Please never stop selling it!

Its National Cheesecake Day and what could be better than a FREE slice of Elis cheesecake covered in whipped cream, chocolate and sprinkles. Right at the factory!!!! All their various flavors are wonderful, but go online and look at their pinwheel assorted candy infused cakes. Youll never look at cheesecake the same way again. The story behind the cake is wonderful too. They have a great place for lunch with super healthy sandwiches. Free parking and the nicest employees in the world. Even if its not National Cheesecake Day try the sit down deli/bakery for lunch. Just be aware that lunch stops promptly at 2 pm. A great hidden gem around the corner from Wright City College.

Great selection of cheesecakes and other dessert items at low prices as compared to restaurant or grocery store prices. Items sold are seconds and are often less than visually perfect. The cafe sells coffee and a variety of breakfast and lunch items. Tours are very interesting and well worth the time spent.

Soooo cheesy

This is part cafe, part retail space. The small menu of salads and sandwiches are tasty. The larger variety of pastries--including cheesecake--are excellent, although the pirtions are a bit small. The retail space has some shirts, hats, etc. with the Elis logo on it, but most of the space is freezer space dedicated to cheesecakes. Many of the available cheesecakes are sweet imperfections - visually imperfect items that didnt pass quality control. These are sold at steep discounts. In all, a spacious option for a light meal and desert.

The turtle cheesecake tastes like caramel and *literally* nothing else. I got no hint of cheesecake flavor at all. It was very dense and overall not good. The peanut butter cheesecake didn’t taste like much of anything either. After reading such positive reviews, I was pretty excited to go here. Unfortunately this did not live up the the hype. I would have rather stayed local and eaten at the Cheesecake Factory.

I hate tourist traps, but this Chicago tradition just keeps getting better! Elis cheesecake is flavor-filled and perfectly textured. A real treat for locals and visitors alike.

Ive had good, Ive had bad, and Ive had everything in between. Short of a world tour, this is as good Tiramisu gets. Period.Arrived overnight with lots of dry ice left to do the job had it been in the mail system an extra day.

Love love love this place. Why go to a grocery store when you can get cheesecake straight from the factory. And they have a little cafe area right in the front where you can try individual slices and have a little snack. I got to recommend the Ghirardelli chocolate cheesecake or the regular plane cheesecake. But anything you buy here you will love if you love cheesecake.

Ive been a customer of Elis for over 20 years and honestly enjoyed it more back then than now. While I understand the customer demand for more selection, it becomes overwhelming. I recently made a stop during their festival, I did arrive later in the afternoon but all their outside activities were geared towards little kids while inside the cashier lines were 10+ people! I came specifically for a tray of plain cheesecake and they were out of stock! Plenty of the fancy stuff & gluten free but out on just regular cheesecake!? Leave the carnival to the carnival professionals and just do what your best known for, delicious cheesecakes! *pic is probably 20 years ago when we really enjoyed cheesecake.

Love love elis cheesecake. Its my go to cheesecake. Cheesecake factory wish they had cheesecake as good as this.

This review will be a bit biased as the company does a lot for my Community college next door, Wright College. Regardless, this is the place to buy cheesecake. As here you can get their slightly damaged but still delicious, sweet imperfection cheesecake for like $8 to $11 for a large cheesecake. There is always sales here and expect to pay about 30% less for cheesecake here then in the local stores.

I ordered cheesecakes for my Dads company as part of an internship and they shorted us one cheesecake. I called once asking if they could find out which cheesecake it was and if it was going to be delivered later or if we could put in another delivery. They said that they locked themselves out of their system and they would call me back. Fair enough. However, they never called me back. I called a second time per my Dads request to try to get to the bottom of it, since these cheesecakes are $30+, and they said that they would have to call me back. Again, they did not ever end up calling me back. For my Dad to spend so much on cheesecakes for his clients and for them to not take our concerns into immediate consideration, I give this company two stars, and I told my Dad to try to order from somewhere else next Christmas.

I took a Totally Turtle Cheesecake all the way from Chicago to Southern California for a family party. I had never tried one of these cheesecakes, but the fun started at the airport when the TSA agents were joking that it may not pass security and they may need to confiscate it! I bought the bag from Elis to keep it cold and it remained frozen all the way (hour train to the airport, 4-hour flight, driving to the house, etc.) But the best part was when my family started eating it... as Id never tasted it I was afraid I of the reactions, but it was beyond a hit! EVERYONE loved it! Most said it was the best cheesecake theyd ever eaten! Thank you Elis for helping make my family celebration even better!

Who doesnt love cheesecake? They offer the sweet imperfection cakes here, meaning they didnt pass quality control but the flavors are all still amazing. This is our go to for parties as you can get huge thats for less than $20. We always bring out of towers here so they can get their first, and purchase the freezer bags so they make it to their destination!

Great cheescakes! This is the factory store, which is in the same building. They offer discounted cheesecakes, sweet imperfections, which are still really good but might have a small crack on top. There is also a cafe where sweets are available by the slice.

I visited this place on a Sunday afternoon. There werent any customers when i stepped in. We ordered Red Velvet CHEESECAKE, Cookie Cream Cheesecake and Original style Cheesecake. They didnt taste good. The cakes were hard as a rock. Felt like they were stored for longer time than they should have. I will try visiting them on a busy day and see if the cakes taste any different. First impression: Disappointed.
