I came across this location and was completely thrown off by its description. It’s known by Amazon as the Kimbark Plaza location so I had to laugh because then I was wondering why is there another one close by? But that wouldn’t make any sense because why would you have 24 hour hubs within walking distance?I live several blocks east of this location and need to drive to get there but it’s worth every ounce of effort. I live in the condo dense area near the lakefront in a building with an unreliable package delivery system. It’s a nightmare and especially with working many hours from home during the never ending pandemic, it’s imperative that I order even essential items online as many stores close very early and I work until late hours.There are quite a few Amazon delivery locations closer to me if my delivery isn’t too large, but they too are stores which close at some point that is way too early. And now that Amazon has nearby warehouses where we can get you items same day even if we order early afternoon, it may take them until 10 PM to deliver them and if it’s something very important it is an absolute godsend to have a location like Sunflower/Kimbark which is in a open shopping center near a busy street that is well lit, patrolled by police and almost always populated by patrons in stores that actually stay open a bit later.I love where I live, but the drama of having to fight to get my packages in a reasonable time after they’re delivered has caused me to want to move. Having options such as a nearby Whole Foods and the Kimbark unattended location has greatly increased the value of my Primemembership. It doesn’t solve all problems because sometimes the lockers are full or your delivery depending on how its Packaged may not fit into a locker can’t be frustrating. I just learned in the news today that Amazon is adding 68 new lockers across the city and the neighbors in those are annoyed at what they deem an eyesore. meanwhile I was annoyed because they only added two locations within proximity of where I lived. I know they were other stores competing with Amazon for the next day delivery business but with the ease with which you can have packages delivered and returned, they are a hard act to beat.

A better option for deliveries when you are not home and live in a large multi-dwelling building.
