Proceed with CautionI had selected Granite Heroes given their proximity to me and the fact that they were slightly lower than another service I had called. The job was to restore my black marble tile lining the shower, half the bathroom walls and covering the entire floor after significant etching over the years from use of the incorrect cleaning products. The couple had told me that it would likely take them a good portion of the day and since I was home due to COVID I’d be here during the entire time period.They weren’t here long which intrigued me since I assumed maybe they were just efficient in 2 hours versus the 6 they estimated the job would take. I peeked into the bathroom to see that everything looked good from afar as it dried (couldn’t walk on the tile to take a better look). The next morning, I saw the detail of the hasty (not efficient) work done the day before. Don’t get me wrong, the tile looks much better than it did. Although anything applied to the surface would look better than the etching before. What was amiss in the process was an application of integrity. To do the job the right way with a sense of character as if it was your own. I was told they would clean the bathroom tiles after application. They did…sort of. Most of the tiles had a white paste splattered all over them that wasn’t coming off with marble approved cleaning solutions and a lot of elbow grease. This same paste was caked on my walls. So much so that I have rubbed the paint off to get it removed and now need to repaint the bathroom walls. The work was messy and incomplete at that. Numerous tiles are missing the polish and clearly visible with the whirl marks of a buffer while others shine with a finished glow. Running my hand along them you can feel sections of the tile that have no polish at all (a clear indication of a rushed job). My white tub has gray marks of who knows what on it that have been sealed over with their sealant and whatever I try to do, the gray mark has become a part of the tub facade which drives me nuts because it was white before they came in. Additionally, I’ve had to spend $200 in products from Marble Life in order to fix what Granite Heroes had neglected to do.I did contact the company and ask them to come back and correct the situation thinking maybe they would have a conscious of moral integrity and customer service mindedness. They replied by setting a date to address the issues and then never showed up, never responded back to me and left me to address the issues on my own.Again the tiles do look better compared to what they were (anything would) but the amount of hassle and clean up after the fact has left me to regret the decision to hire them in the first place. In the end it comes down to this: if you want the job done, call Granite Heroes. If you want the job well done, call anyone else.

Shower problems got you down. Not if you hire Granite Heroes. My parents and I and my brother have been using granite heroes for years. Every year 1 of us has them repairing something. This year was my turn, lol and my shower needed lots of help. I have a marble steam shower and it tends to get funky after a year of deep cleaning. I cant reach the ceiling because Im 53 and the shower is like 10ft high. So when its starts looking hazy I call them. The friendly experience is what I love the most. Their polite and understand how to conduct them selves in someones house. I dont understood all the technical stuff but I know what good work looks like and they produce that constantly year after year.

Fixed my quartz! SO grateful for her knowledge, expertise, and renewal of my quartz. It looks better than brand new, very happy with the service! Highly recommend.

They restores the granite on our countertops. It went from hazy to shiny. We thought it was a lost cause and would have to replace them completely. The whole project was done in a day, and they cleaned up as if they were never there. I’m so glad I gave them a ring. If you’re shopping around for granite restoration, just call them right now!!!

Liars. Have no respect to help correct a mistake they made.On Dec 22nd we hired Granite Heroes to clean, polish and seal our kitchen and bathrooms granite countertops. During this process 2 of our master bathroom faucets got some polish or sealant sprayed on them causing the finish of the faucets to be damaged. Also some white pasty material got on the walls above the countertops. They never prepped around the countertops area like they said they will.I have emailed the company several times and was told their insurance company will be contacting me on Jan 23rd. We havent received any calls or emails. I have attempted to get their insurance information from them with several emails, but they are refusing to respond back to any of my emails. I have called them many times and left messages. Even one time I was told by owner Myra a check was in the mail and now over a month later, no check and not returning any of my calls or emails.I filed a complaint on the BBB website and the case was closed because they never responded to it.Now I filed a complaint with the Illinois AG Office.

Love this company, i hired them to fix my quartz countertops some granite countertops and my marble bathroom floor. Erik and mayra are a great team. Each is pleasurable to work with. They set the expectations and provide realistic results. I didnt think quartz could etch. Well it can! Mayra explained to me there is a process to fix the etch marks much like my marble floor. The floor had all sorts of grout discoloration and spots and so forth. They regrouted the floor, polished the marble floor and now it looks brand new. The granite had some issues that were unrepairable and they explained that to me. So I definitely recommend their stone restoration company to anyone in the chicago land area!

I hired Granite Heroes to fix my marble floor. I was hoping they would make it look better. They did more than make it look better, They restored it! First, for those trying to sort out the disparity between the one star and five star reviews, I would like to point out that owner Erik Chambers has given his company 5 stars. There are also two other 5 star reviews from people with the last name Chambers.Second, I dont want to be writing this bad review. We made every effort to give this company a chance to do a satisfactory job; but they over promised and far under delivered, and left us hanging without so much as an apology.The largest part of the work we needed involved re-polishing a black marble and granite floor that extended through several rooms over which a previous owner had applied a wax coating. That coating had overtime scratched, peeled, and dulled so we were looking to replace it with a natural stone polish. Granite Heroes was also contracted to remove yellow stains from a tumbled white marble wall, and some other small projects. They seemed very knowledgeable and very confident that they could complete everything to high satisfaction.We were out of town while they did the work so unfortunately we did not see their process, but were not impressed with the results. They seemed to have removed the wax coating, but their final product was just as cloudy as the before condition. To their credit, when we let them know about the issue and that they had neglected some work per the contract, they returned a week later to make the fix. However the floors didn’t look any better afterward and their level of customer service went downhill fast.We insisted on a meeting at our house and specific information on the process they used so we could work together on a solution. But multiple times they cancelled or failed to show up. They had many excuses, including that they weren’t getting our texts or emails, or that our floors were damaged beyond repair before they started, and that they were having medical issues, but no answers. After two weeks of this, and a month of having our furniture stacked in other rooms while we awaited resolution, they just stopped responding. We have yet to learn what they really did to our floors.In total the problems are numerous:First, they illegally charged us for the full price of the job using the credit card we had specifically given just for the deposit. They made this full charge before any work had even been done. Note all of these other people on here and Yelp who were promised refunds and probably never saw their money again.Second, their quality was overall poor. There are new circular scratches from their floor machines, the new work stops inches from the walls, they only epoxy repaired one of several cracked tiles, and many of the tiles have inconsistent honing or polishing where the tiles are shinier on the edges than in the middle.Third, they didn’t do what they said or wrote in their contract. We had another contractor look at the floor and do a test sample when we couldn’t get Granite Heroes to come back out. Not only was he able to successfully give us a good polished finish, but he determined that Granite Heroes had not polished the floor, but instead had honed it then then coated it with some sort of gloss enhancer. This top coat seems to be responsible for the cloudy effect, and there even seems to be dirt trapped under the surface. And the tumbled marble with the yellow stain: instead of the grinding or deep cleaning they promised, it appears that they painted our marble white.Overall, as much as I like to support small businesses, I would not recommend this company. They were big on their front end talk, and their price was very reasonable, but not for their apparent level of skill and lacking attention to detail. They really need to spend more time training with some knowledgeable stone masters and use more discretion on the types of jobs of which they are capable, before they leave anyone else with such a mess. We will need to have our floors completely refinished from step one again to undo their work, and until then we will have to live with floors that look permanently dirty.

We live in the city of Chicago and our kitchen granite counter top developed a mold/mildew odor after 10 years of use. I found Granite Hero on Google and they were great. Came out to professionally clean and reseal our kitchen top. Also recommended a solution to use going forward to clean. Very professional, responsive team and reasonable rates. Also covered up our cabinets during the cleaning process to ensure no damage was done. Would highly recommend them.

Granite Heroes exceeded our expectations. We hired them to restore the foyer floor which had several cracked tiles. After they completed the project you couldn’t even tell there where ever any cracked tiles. Defiantly happy we found our stone guy.

I would love to leave a review of their service, but I was never even able to get that far.I contacted them a week or two ago for a quote to do some polishing and cutting. They asked for pictures of the work I needed, and said theyd send a quote.I sent the pictures and received no quote. I called back and was told I would be getting a quote the next day.The next day came and went, and I tried to call back. No answer. Called back 5 more times over 2 days with no answer. I guess Ill take my money somewhere else. I dont have time to wait in limbo. I contacted several other companies and received quotes promptly.

Most of my house is made of natural stone tiles. The finish types vary so i needed to find a stone cleaning service with experience and knowledge in my various countertops, floors and shower tiles. I found that person and more with Granite Heroes. Erik is a master at his craft. His knowledge of stone finish types, sealers and cost-effective methods to resolve my issues, was a welcomed surprise! My marble was polished better than when newly installed. Great service, very detailed and very passionate.

My marble counter-tops where etched everywhere from using the wrong cleaners and daily wear and tear. Erik explained the process,made our counters look NEW again and what we should be using to clean our marble.

They are truly heroes! They fixed the marble coffee table, that has been in the family for years. My mom was so happy! Will defiantly be calling them in the future for any stone needs.

After my fourth call for an estimate. with excuse after excuse I was forced to move on. I had to wait for an estimator for a week who was scheduled for the next day and never showed up.On my second call I was told there was an emergency and the estimator was to contact all clients which never happened. My third call an appointment was set up, unfortunately with another failure to show up.I found that two of their competitors were able to write proposals for my 40x20 den, laundry, bathroom, foyer and hallway, along with my granite stairs.

My experience with Granite Heroes was more then I expected. I had called in to get an estimate on my counter tops and marble flooring. I spoke to Erik and was very polite over the phone asking me questions about the job. He then came out to my home so I could show him the work that needed to be done. He explained everything to me step by step on how and what he was going to do to fix the issue. I was very impressed. Later that day he sent e-mailed me the estimate and called me to go over it with me, to see if I had any questions. I agreed to the job, and he had his Heroes come out and do the work. They where all very professional, and respected my home. When the job was completed, Erik sent me an e-mail and called me to make sure I was happy with the work. I could not be happier. They made my marble look like new again. I will recommend them to all my family and friends. They promised me a lot of things, and they delivered on all of them. Thank you Heroes.

The stone polishing experience was terrific! There is nothing like coming home from work and seeing your marble floors look newly installed. These folks were Phenomenal!In the process of moving our marble coffee table was cracked into two piece. Granite Heroes came out picked it up, repaired if off site. When they brought the table back you couldn’t even tell it was ever cracked. It looks new!! Having them refinish the rest of the stone in my home!!I would highly recommend this company!

The limestone floor cleaning team made my life so much easier! We were having a 50th anniversary party for family friends and needed to improve the appearance of our home. Granite Heroes came the next day and they are amazing.  Erik was so kind and completely thorough. He set up his crew, walked them through each task. The crew even cleaned our shower drain out! If you are looking for quality work then keep looking. The firm should be renamed Granite Zeros!Their first visit they were a no show. The second visit their repairs were unsatisfactory and chipped within two hours. The third visit resulted in Myra, the owner, visiting the property without any tools. She advised that she would have the repairs done within two days. That would have been a fourth visit but was another no show. Myra advised that she would issue a refund for $1000. We never received any refund or any type of response.We paid $1000 for three no shows and unsatisfactory work. Terrible service + terrible work = Granite Zeros!

I usually dont write reviews but I was compelled to after my recent experiences with Granite Heroes. I am extremely grateful and satisfied with their work! I contacted them because I needed some floors and countertops brought back to life and they were awesome! From giving me an estimate to the completed job, I was very happy with their service. They exceeded my expectations. So I hired them again for another property that I just purchased and it wasnt a fluke. They were just as good as the first time! This time they completed the job a day early and it was beautiful! I ask a lot of questions, and it was nice that they didnt mind explaining what they were doing as they were going along. Now I know a little bit about caulk and how they cleaned the grout. Lol! Theyre knowledgeable, efficient, professional and get the job done. Ive seen what some of the other people have said on here and I will say that doesnt seem like the guys that Ive hired the last two times. I can only speak for my recent experiences over this past year with them and say that Id have no problem standing behind them. Im without a doubt hiring them again! I just have to find something else for them to refinish. Lol

In early August, I hired Granite Heroes to repair a seam in our granite kitchen countertop, where the grout had begun to deteriorate and wear away. Instead of attempting to match the new filler with the surrounding green (“silver sea green”) granite, however, GH injected a bright, light gray filler so that the grout line now stands out vividly against the dark green background. Moreover, this new filler is pockmarked with innumerable tiny grooves and holes. While GH did schedule a visit to rectify the situation and a minor traffic accident prevented their employee from reaching our house, they made no subsequent effort to reschedule that appointment. Further, they have not responded to my e-mail messages in which I requested a second appointment or a refund of my payment of $295. They have shown themselves to be incompetent and negligent in their customer relations; I could not possibly recommend their services.

They were more than helpful with a fairly complex granite repurposing project in my kitchen. Highly recommended.

Our Spanish marble bathroom floor lost its polish and left rough after years of using the wrong cleaners. Granite Heroes completely restored, and now it looks NEW!!!! They exceeded our expectations...They are scheduled to come back to refinish our kitchen next!!!

Worst experience Ive ever had. Tile was arranged crookedly, some tiles sunken so not even, wood trim was applied right & now sticks up in air. Didnt remove trash from home, i.e.. tiles taken up, trimmed broken tiles, etc, grout water poured down new bathroom sink, leaving gray dust behind, outside gutter at end of driveway left with gray dust film. contractors were so belligerent with me when I complained that I burst into tears. I have worked with many contractor over the last 30 years, having rehabbed each house I have lived in. These were least competent & rudest people with whom I have ever worked. They are NOT tile installers. They are just handymen who eat every turn tried to sell me on other services. Would NEVER hire them again.

I am over the moon with Granite Heroes Service!!! I hired them to refinish our master bathroom marble and while here one of the technicians noticed that there was an etch mark on my kitchen counter and he took care of it at no charge.
