Cass is an artist, just a true artist. I came in for a simple beard trim, everyone was welcoming and kind, and Cass got me setup. She paid attention to what I wanted, made helpful suggestions when I asked for them, and then applied her expertise to my whole face. Seriously, I would say this is what every haircut experience should be, but then the greatness of this one could be lost in the translation. The next time were in town I plan to come long and shaggy and have this be the first stop. Outstanding!

The service at Talc + Tonic is great and each time I’ve gone I’ve received a high quality haircut. I’ve received haircuts from most of their stylists and they’ve all done a great job. I just moved to Chicago from LA and was looking for a great barber shop or haircut place and I was recommend to this location. The hairstylist that did my hair was Liz, and oh boy she is amazing in ask for layered fade and it was done quickly. Loved it. Next time LIZ, I want a patrick kane mullet! Ive been going to Ali for more than 5 years now and cant recommend her enough. She does a great job with my challenging hair and we always have an entertaining chat while Im in the chair. The energy at Talc and Tonic is rad; music, all of the other stylists are very friendly, and getting a drink each time is a nice perk. Ive sent many friends to T&T and will 100% continue to.

I know that hair stylists are like deodorant, once you find one that works that makes you feel great you never switch. So all I am going to recommend is that if you visit this place ask for Casper. Everytime I go, Casper gives me the very best haircut. I always no less than 2 compliments from my friends that day on how nice of a haircut I have, Im serious its that good. Casper is so proud of their skillset, that with your permission, Casper will post on Instagram the art that is now your hairstyle in its full glory. Liz is absolutely the best. Im a difficult person to please and I have a difficult head of hair to deal with. She fully listened to my concerns and executed the perfect plan to tackle this massive mess of cowlicks. I left her chair smiling and confident. I was recommend by my cousin to come out here and I live in rolling meadows. I was referred to Liz and my experience was unbelievably great. Ok I have to be honest, this place is way better than sports, clips, Floyds, and definitely 10 times better than Bettys and Nicks. Talc and Tonic thank you for be ing my go to place for haircuts. I believe Liz was my hairstylist when I first went there and she does a wonderful job super careful, gentle, and precise. The results are to die for! Thank you Liz. Will be coming again.

I visited this place with my husband for a few days and I was impressed by how many barbershops you have, here men do take care of the customers looks. My husbands barber was Dave and he knew what hes doing. The cut was really perfect and the hair products they used are of good quality. You can get for free coffee here while waiting for the haircut to finish. I have to say they totally fulfilled my expectations

I can not say enough good things about this place. Liz is an excellent stylist. You get everthing you would expect at this price point - great cut, hot lather neck shave, shampoo with hot towel. They clearly care about customer service. Highly recommend!

I went in to get a fresh cut before my business trip and was amazed to see the results! Ive only gone once so I dont know if it was the hair stylist/magician (Liz) or the shop but I look forward to finding out in the near future.
