He started by cutting my hair, then moved on to my beard, making adjustments as needed to make it perfect.He does not subject you to any kind of duress. I am very pleased with the procedure! Been going to Isaac for almost 8 years now and can’t say enough good things about him. He has taken his own skills and applied it to opening/running a wonderful shop filled with other barbers who carry the exact same traits. I can send any of friends/family/clients in my network to any of the barbers at this shop and have no doubt in my mind they will be taken care of perfectly. Parking is pretty convenient considering it’s the city of Chicago. All the products they sell there are awesome and at the same standard of the shop. It’s great frequenting a business that comes from an extremely DIY background with good music and good vibes. You need a tight fade or a trim of longer more styled hair this is definitely the place to go if you are anywhere near the Chicago area.

Been going here since they opened, and getting my haircut before with these guys at their previous establishment. Travis Isaac and Doug are all great guys and do a great job. Good atmosphere with the conversations, music and whats on tv. Online scheduling makes things a breeze.

This is hands down one of the best places I’ve ever been to get my hair cut. They’re consistent, well priced and make you feel a part of a community. I live close by and never quite found a barber I liked or who wasn’t moving out of Chicago. After popping in one day after I moved to the neighborhood I was beyond impressed and have gone ever since. Even my best friend still drives over to get his hair cut after he moved because they’re that good. They cut great hair, it’s got great old school barber aesthetics and the guys are all really nice and fun to talk to. It’s cash only but I usually head over to D’Amatos afterwards for a fig cookie with my change so it’s really an non issue.

The staff there is so friendly and professional. They did exactly what I asked and did the best job! I went to this barbershop when it first opened, and it was the best salon experience I ever had. I completely recommend this salon to everyone. It is a beautiful place, very neat and clean. I will definitely travel and go back because I enjoy the service!

Best shop in town. Been coming here every couple weeks for the past 5.5 years. Doug is my barber and always gives me a better haircut than I ask for. I am always so impressed with the detail and quality he provides. In 5 years he wasnt available twice. I think thats very reliable of him. The two times he wasnt available I got a cut from Will and the other time Clint, the newest barber in the shop. Both times were fantastic. Love the shop decor and how I feel confident everytime I leave there. If youre feeling it you can even drink a PBR while getting cut. Place is so good you definetley have to make an appointment well in advance. Cash only and dont show up late! Very reasonable/ competitive pricing. $30/ cut. If I had to say anything negative it would just be that finding parking in that area may take a minute.

I’ve been coming to Handcrafted for over a year. These barbers are the real deal. I go to Travis, he figured out the haircut I needed that I never knew existed. Every time I walk out of there Travis makes 100% sure I’m looking my best. As for the rest of the guys, they are professional, incredibly talented, and care a lot about their clients. Not to mention the price is unbeatable.COVID-19 addition: They are taking fewer customers more spaced out, cleaning in between, and having people wait outside. Very safe environment.Try out Handcrafted, you’ll be hooked.

Whenever my hairs drying out because of the intense heat and ever moody weather, I would rush to this shop because you have to be scheduled for service since they have a great number of customers per day. What I liked here is that they never fail to achieve what I tell them how I like my haircut. Good service ever!

With the current state of COVID I was in dire need of a haircut. This spot was referred by a friend so I gave them a shot. I made an appointment and was able to be seen same day, I was paired up with Clint who did an amazing job with little instruction. I highly recommend and will be returning in the future.

Will turned one of the worst haircuts I ever got (some place off 355S) into an amazing cut. He has great attention to detail and knows the shape of your head before he starts cutting, resulting in one of the better cuts Ive ever gotten. They really are one of the best barbershops in town.What I like about going to them is they always take there time and never in a rush. I have been going to them for over two years and the quality and the service is still the same.If I was to mention one “complaint” it would be that it is cash only.

The staff is amazing they all have different styles and are by appointment only. Its a cash barbershop so make sure you stop at the ATM before your appointment. You should book Doug he is a total professional, funny, perfectionist and quick. He asks ask the right questions when it comes to your experience and you end up with the perfect cut. Best barbershop in Chicago. Decor has a classic but renovated feel to it, and the barbers here are top notch. I somehow landed Isaac,(it was when they first couple months of moving to the location) who knew exactly what to do even though I probably didnt articulate clearly what I was looking for. Entire cut took around 30 minutes, and although he was running late on clients, he took his time and made sure I was satisfied with the cut. Cant recommend this place enough, will be going back soon.

Great cut for low prices, beverages are offered, and just overall cool guys. Park on Racine or Hubbard for non-metered spots. Make sure you set up an appointment online as they are usually booked well in advance.

I followed my barber, Greg, here from a different location. This place is so nice with a really great vibe. Free beverages add a nice touch. But above else, the quality of cuts here is amazing.

I know these guys from the great place where they were before, and they were among the best of that shop: I followed them to their new shop if that tells you my recommendation. Anybody can give me a mediocre haircut, but it takes a special touch to give me a great haircut. They have each cut my hair in times past. So these are great barbers and a good price.

Ive been getting my haircut from Doug since he was a student at Success Schools and he has cut my hair perfect every time. Doug is my barber for life. The other three guys are all amazing barbers as well. Any one of them would cut your hair perfect as well!

I like these guys. #1 they are cool, #2 they know what they are doing.I used to go to the barber shop that a few of them worked at until they opened their own barber shop this year. I used to live 2 doors down - now that I moved to the north suburbs and they moved to the west loop, I travel about 40 miles to have Travis cut my hair. It is still worth it.

This is the second time that Doug has done my hair and all I can say is what a difference a professional clean modern haircut can make. I have been reluctant to change my same old boring, receding middle age comb over, and went to Doug seeking a whole new style. A half hour practically trimming the majority of my hair off and styling what was left on top in a whole new way, I walked out as a hip 58 year old man. My new look has helped me in my sales tremendously with last month scoring a $125K contract, and two days after this cut, scored a $25K job. People I have dealt with for years have noticed a difference and I am getting more calls then before. l now plan to go every 4-5 weeks religiously to keep this look, or until all my hair falls out! Doug is a master at his trade, and I cant thank him enough for what he has done for my appearance. Seeing his associates working alongside him, you can see that everyone there takes great pride in their work. They should rename this place Handcrafted Masters of Hair. Great job!

The work is great but they dont stick to appointment policy . I missed appointment so instead of charging me for the appointment I was asked not to come back. The email said ir was not personal but then greg krytopeck out however you spell his last name blocked me on Instagram. I never said anything or did anything so it obviously was personal and very unprofessional. I will say the owner has been professional as far as I know. Greg on the other hand is not. He lets his personal thoughts get in the way of his professional work.
