Great locally owned business. Family business been around for 50 years. They’ve had some setbacks with streaming services and nobody wanting to rent DVDs anymore, but they’re are very solid TV sales and service company. You can get a great TV there and they’ll even mount it for you. Can’t recommend them enough and their customer service, great family owned business. Great addition to the neighborhood. Don’t buy online, don’t buy from Amazon, buy from a neighborhood business! Great service, great people! Very helpful

I had one experience about 30 years ago where they fixed a VCR that someone else said wasnt worth fixing as they tried to sell me another. When I needed a van to do some moving and the name came up in the search I decided to give them a try. Truly a family feel to this no frills small business, friendly, professional. if I ever have a reason to use this store for any reason I would go back.

I dont know who hurt the people who work here but they sure did a number. Was rushed even though I was the only person in there. Service person refused to enter my cards number after their machine had a chip malfunction. If you are even picking up a UPS package from this location, be prepared for them to not even listen to you. Also the team is miserable at fielding a complaint, internalizing feedback, and applying it to the store.

We went through LG and asked for this shop personally to service our TV because all the wonderful reviews and we are thrilled that we did. The staff at Minas were very responsive and kept us in the loop the entire time while waiting for our replacement parts to come in. Once the parts had arrived, a technician named Raffi was sent to our apartment to repair the TV and he was amazing. He called us promptly to schedule a time and arrived just as promptly. He was very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. We were unsure what the issue was with our TV and he was very patient and efficient. The repair took approximately an hour as it ended up being more complicated than any of us expected. We are extremely pleased with the service from Minas and will recommend it any chance we get! Thank you so much!

Raffi is legit. We were looking to replace the satellite dish on the roof with an HDTV antenna. Id done some research around antennas, and what he suggested was even better than what Id been able to find. For installation, he tried hard to reuse existing cabling, but as usual our 120yo house fought back. He instead removed redundant cabling, then ran new cabling in a very discreet way. The end result is perfect. Dozens more channels than we got on our indoor antenna, and no need to contort ourselves or the antenna to get certain channels.

Came in 3 times over the last few years to try and support a small business but I can not believe how unprofessional they are. Theres 2 main employees and unfortunately I only remember ralphy(?). As soon as I approached the counter or called over the phone he was very rude and treated me with only sarcasm. Left such a bad taste in my mouth that I couldnt believe it so I tried asking for assistance a week later over the phone and still just so obnoxious. Dont give this place your money unless they treat you well please. Its a toxic place.

Based on some not-so-great experiences with U-Haul in the past, if I need to rent a U-Haul truck I try to do it at a non-U-Haul branded location. I rented a U-Haul for the day through Minas a year ago and it was a very smooth process with them. I needed to rent a U-Haul to move out of Chicago so I went to Minas again and I really appreciate their help. I contacted them ahead of time to ask about renting a U-Haul during the current stay-at-home order and social distancing and they did most of the reservation for me to make it easier. There was the possibility they wouldnt have the 10 truck I needed, but they made sure that if they didnt have the 10 truck that I would be contacted the day before the reserved pickup day with instructions on where I needed to go to pick up the truck. Fortunately they had the 10 truck on time and I was able to pick it up at Minas. The owners (I think its two brothers) both made the pick up process as smooth as possible, even in these crazy times. They made an extremely stressful move a little less chaotic with the U-Haul rental and I totally appreciate them for it.

Great uhaul service

5/5 - I had a LG OLED TV that one day just stopped working. After painfully dealing with warranty services I finally got approved and chose Minas TV to do the repair. Minas TV was extremely helpful, communicative and thoughtful throughout the entire service, from the ordering/delivering of parts to the in-home service provided by Raffi. Raffi was courteous, efficient, and not only performed excellent service but helped explain what he was doing throughout. I would absolutely recommend Minas TV, and would not hesitate to do business with them in the future!

To be clear: Ive only rented a U-Haul here using the U-Haul app on my phone. While the experience was ultimately successful, the app has significant usability issues. Im real tired of being on the beta team without being compensated.

UPS pick up. Nice service. Closes early so had to switch drop off location so dont get there as much unless UPS forces me to.

The installer was professional and experienced. We needed an old antenna removed and had OTA digital antenna installed. Works great. Fair price.

I bought my very first ever TV here many moons ago, and they are still just as friendly and as helpful as ever. They are trying to just focus on the TVs now, but also include a UHAUL department, which was the most seamless experience I have ever had with UHAUL. Anyway nice family that runs the place, adorable dog and just overall a great customer friendly place. In the market for a TV, or need repair work these are the people to go to.

I was mislead by yelp. Horrible lier and hes sloppy. He Rigged my swivel motion mount to the wall and said dont touch your tv ever. Whats the point of a swivel motion mount.

We had Raffi and Henry install a TV wall mount over our fireplace. This was our second time using them and happy we did. They know what they are doing and can work around snags like metal studs. It wasnt easy with the size of tv and full-motion mount but they got the job done. Oh and they even arrived early (after texting first to confirm that was okay)! Thanks guys!

I was here for a U-Haul rental, and I think that the people that work here are very cool. It was easy and convenient and a very fair price.

The staff offers great selections on movies to watch, an old fashioned way to see films which sometimes we need a little old school.

Wow - my first review as well...ever. One star was the lowest option, but should be 0 since it definitely doesnt qualify as a business. I cant believe they are allowed to run a business in this country. Both associates - Aram and Ralph - pretty much yelled at me from the first time I called until I went back to pick up the TV. No work done - by that time the info they were giving me regarding tv repairs was so wrong that I pretty much had to imply that I dont agree with them and would prefer to take it back (Ralph was explaining to me that the way to diagnose is to change the part and see if it works...) - at least they refunded the $$ they charged me (still no idea wht they charged me $65, they probably dont either...). I had to simply tell Aram to stop yelling at me and that Im there to offer a little business, but still dont belove he got it. Maybe they can offer rentals, but would never trust them with anything else. And dont do it in person - you might catch them in a bad day and might become even physical... Wow - super-unique experience.

This review is for the repair guy...apparently their only one. I had to get a part replaced on my Mitsubishi tv and through Mitsubishi this place was the one and only licensed repair place in the city of Chicago apparently. I called the place and the guy on the phone was actually very helpful and pleasant. But after that point I dealt with the repair guy. He might just be the rudest person I have ever met. When calling to set up the appt, when calling to ask me if I was home super before my appt time, and then while at my apt he was condescending, short, and literally just so so so RUDE!! He practically yelled at me on the phone to be there by 5 (my appt time was 5-6pm) because he had to be somewhere else by 6 and I left work early to arrive by 5 and when I called he wasnt even going to be there until 5:15!!! WTF. He whipped my huge 73 tv around on my glass stand and when I said to be careful so he didnt scratch it he basically was like youre an idiot, glass cant be scratched, calm down....I was so offended Im writing this while hes still fixing my tv. I mean, in my case I had no choice but to use this place but if you have a choice and can go elsewhere and youll be dealing with a tv repair guy coming to your place DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. This guy should freaking be fired.
