Most of the sears auto center are closed. Over the phone the person was not positive and it was hard to get information.
I was SHOCKED to find a Sears STILL open but reading these comments it seems their LACK of pursuit for any outstanding excellence makes them CLOSED AT HEART, Walmart didnt have to close them they had a good name for products including DIEHARD
Sears always encourages customers to buy the warranty for tires .So Im visiting the Chicago Ridge location as my tire indicator light is on. In addition request a tire rotation. Arriving after eight on Saturday Oct 12, 2019. And there not open.So after my car was taken to to correct the tire issue. Why do I get in only to find the light still on? Hire qualified service technicians!

Horrible customer service! They dont answer the phone, are very nonchalant and uncaring. The actual mechanic was better at customer service and talking to the customer than the actual people who work in the office. It puts a bad taste in my mouth because I love Sears and want to continue going there to the stores that are left, but if Im going to receive this kind of service Im going to let corporate know and discontinue patronizing them.
The Auto center... opens later then the hour that theyre supposed to.. they are over priced.... They dont honor their own unexpired coupons they want to charge you over 400 dollars make it take hours when there is a shop right down the street the charge you$200 cheaper and they do the job within minutes...I will continue to shop at Sears but I will have nothing to do with the auto department...
It was certainly a wonderful experience to visit this store. I met with Nola, a hardworking and pleasant female representative in the auto department.I had made an online order to pick up a battery and my then received email that it was out of stock. I drove in from South Shore and in the snow, so I would have been really upset if after this experience and the original experience in which an on line rep name Tyler misguided me to a closed Sears store on Lawrence. I asked him if it was open, oh for sure, Im on the line with them right now and they have 22 in stock...I live in South Shore, so after work, this was a long and frustrating rush hour traffic drive for me.Eve n after receiving the out of stock email, Nola stated she had one in stock. That really made my day. She was so smooth and easy to work with, I really appreciated her professionalism.I also wanted to know how the battery would perform and so I asked questions of Javier in the Automotive Center, he assured me my system like alarm and CD/radio player wouldnt have a problem adjusting to the new battery.As you can see, Im not car savvy, so it helps a lot to have knowledgeable staff like Nola and Javier to help with the service, products and answers I need.Thank you guys so much, I am grateful for your help.
I came to get a new battery, I brought it in with the online order which sears had already charged me for. The lady didn’t even bother to say hi, I had to actually get her attention. Even tho she wasn’t doing anything but standing there.I was the only person there to top it off.She then says the order wasn’t ready to pick and blah blah But very rudely. I totally understand, so we walked around that’s when I check my bank account and saw it was charged. So I came back and told her that. So I told her I need the battery now so how about I just rebuy it here, she goes and looks it wasn’t even in stock, she then goes on the computer and types something in and I get the email from sears canceling my order.She could have done that way before, instead of wasting my time waiting there for a good 30 plus minutes.I believe she was just being lazy to work, since it was an hour before closing.I’ve been to other sears where they do their best to work with you and she didn’t even bother to try!Hope they close that sears!Why even have it open with rude people!
I went for just a patch on my tire, and after waiting 2 hours i decided to go check up on my car and to my surprise my car was not ready. One of the employee lady comes back and tells me to come back tomorrow. I was so disgustingly mad, and it took so much from me not to snap and remind her that she had my contact information and did not bother to call or anything. But she sure had time to be walking around not doing anything. Overall, why is sears still open? can you guys just vanish forever.
Waitedalmost 4 hours for a simple overall check. Saw it get checked and parked. It was parked for about an hour. I kept asking can what was the status and employees have a complete attitude for me waiting an hour for my parked car

Do not get their warranty. Had them check my tires before a road trip and my tire exploded the next day. They will not honor their warranty.
Sears service is awful, they dont have filters in stock, their employees are pretty lazy, went in for an oil change waited 3 hrs. Sears is almost going to close, the only reason I would go here is for sympathy to sears.

I only gave them 1 star to write this review. This place is the worse. I have been waiting a month just to hear from Miguel who has not called me in regards to my missing center pieces from my hub caps on my Lincoln truck. The 1 time I did talk to him is because he just happen to be at the desk this 1 day. He said he was going to review the cameras and get back to me. Still waiting Miguel. I made an 10:30 a.m. appointment for an oil change, turn signal replacement, brake & front end inspection. I didnt leave until 2:30 p.m. They are so slow and tired. If I had seen these 2 stars beforehand I would have never.
No wonder the place is rated 2 stars! (as is every sears auto center in the area) The only thing that saved the deal for me was the customer service provided by Kathy. If you want a problem resolved (which most likely you will have if you do business here) talk to Kathy! She truly cares about the customer and goes above and beyond to retain your business.Here is the scoop. I ordered Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires, I was informed they were in stock. Called to tell them I was coming, was informed tires are not in stock. I asked if they could be ordered, was informed that it would not be a problem. Called again in about a week, once again was told your tires are here and have been waiting for you I asked the person on the other end of the line to double check, once again was informed oops, they are not here after all Having the patience I have, I decided to give them another chance at reordering the tires; however, called Michelin myself to see if any steps have been taken by Sears to fulfill my order. I was informed by Michelin that the tire has been discontinued and they will not be filling the order. Well that explained everything...I called once again, this time Kathy picked up the phone. I explained the situation and told her about my frustration and the discontinuation of the tires. She assured me she will take care of the situation in whatever way possible. She did! I am very satisfied with resolution of the problem.Few side notes...Up till this day 3/17/14, the tires I wanted are still on Sears website available for order even though the tires have been discontinued since January.If Kathy doesnt pickup the phone, dont even try talking to anyone else, I had experience with 4 other people and every time someone was trying to blame it on someone else and just wanted to finish the call ASAP without any resolution.What happened to good old customer service and to SEARS????!!!!
Went to buy a car battery and sales woman just wanted to sell me the most expensive one without even giving me options. I basically had to ask if there was anything with a lower price she finally gave me something more affordable. Just today I called and phone was ringing off the hook. After so many rings, someone picked up but to my disappointment, they just hung up the phone. I give sears a lot of business, but I think thats going to change very soon😒😒😒
The lady at the front desk was rude and very unprofessional but the guy that assisted me was great! I would go back but I will definitely call and see whose working the front desk first. I will know her by her voice and her rudeness like she was on my initial call to the store earlier today.
It is a shame that a company like Sears that at one time meant quality, is absolutely falling apart. Their prices are fair and they stand behind their warrantees, but they have absolutely no concept of the meaning of an appointment. I had a 2:00 p.m. appointment for a alignment that I was told will take one hour. They didnt pull my car into the garage until 3:00 p.m. If you go to Sears, dont have any time constraints. Your time means nothing to them.

I work with AAA roadside assistant, I can’t count how many times I got dispatched to fix or tow a car for a member after his/her car was supposedly FIXED by SEARS @ Chicago RidgeThat fact that anybody who works @ this place call them selfs a Mechanic is absolutely Laughable !! These guys have no idea what they’re doing... not to mention the horrible customer service, advice to anyone trying to fix there car there ... DONT !!!
The person that assisted me was very polite, he offered me directions to options of places to wait while my service was being performed, after my vehicle ready two other gentleman one happen to be the repair technician that worked on my vehicle, checked me out, they to were polite and sincerely concerned, I felt very satisfied with the overall experience!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Was pleasant stop on our westward trek. Pays attention to merchandise, though. Good spring and summer sleeping place and unguarded electrical outlet on roof. Avoid the local, pipe-smoking person who sleeps behind the waste containers. No wireless. Will pay you to go away if you bring roadkill in your pants, or no pants.
Good luck trying to get them to answer the phone, if they do answer they keep you on hold and dont pick up. Its no wonder Sears is going under, poor customer service. Enjoy it in the unemployment line
Brought in my 2000 VW after the car displayed an Alternator fault code. after i explained to the clerk my concerns about the Alternator being bad, the mechanic came back assuring me that my alternator is just fine and my car is suffering from another electrical issue that he cant tell what it was. Later after i left my car cut my off half way home and had to have it towed to a shop where the issue was diagnosed as an alternator issue and fixed properly.I still maintain paper work from both shops dated the same date, and when i went back to ask about the reason why this happened that manager with attitude said he will call me the day after after he investigates what happened, and i never heard from him after that.Hate to say it but would not recommend them at all.
I would give a 0 stars but we all know how it is.My father in law was supposed to have an oil change and end up with a $900 and change estimate for a new oil pan and gasket.The technician said they stripped the thread on the oil pan and it was not gonna be ready until Monday (this happened on Saturday at around 2 pm) and that it was their fault since they were the ones who change the oil the last time it was done.Tuesday comes around and nothing,so we went to see what was the problem.Manager from Saturday is out of town,technician who worked on minivan not on site that day,manager on duty does not know what happened but has a work order for $900 and some to repair the car,and it’s kind enough to give us a $200 coupon so it’s only $700.I was beyond mad and frustrated with this place and the manager on duty which was useless and not helpful at all.Never again,last time we bring a vehicle to this joke of a “auto service center”.Getting a tow truck to get minivan to a real auto service center.
I would not come again to this location. I came in for oil and tire rotation, they pulled the car in about 10 minutes, then took 2 hours for a tire rotation and oil change????? definitely not coming here again!

So my 82 yr old Momma was upset that she couldn’t get a hold of anyone regarding her tires! Less than 20k miles on 60k Warranty and was told she needed new ones and quoted $700! Nope, I called the auto center and spoke with Adrian and he hooked Momma right up! He called me back and is ordering her new tires and will let us know when they come in🤗☺️ Thank you, sir!

If i could give a 0 i would. went here for a wheel alignment and they broke a bolt that holds rear control arm on. they didnt wanna take responsibility for it.. i wasnt made aware it was a bad bolt or i certainly wouldnt have let them attempt to take it off. after the consent run around and a seriously long week and me paying for everything Im working with there 3rd party claims dept to attempt to get this all covered. they sent a mechanic investigator out there and he said yes bolt was rusted to the point mechanic should have ever touched it..... DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! Bradley is the store mgr. is very sneaky liar,rude and inconsiderate of others. bbb
Absolute worse customer service experience I have ever witnessed in my entire life. I brought my car in for a simple alignment and had to tow my car out of the parking lot. The manager wouldnt even look at the car to see what the mechanic inadvertently ruined. Please dont go here. They dont care about their customers and they dont know how to fix cars.

Im starting to experience the same thing others have been saying. I purchased the Groupon for an alignment. The Sears website says that the alignment check was free. The pictures showing the misalignment was free, however, there would be a charge for an actual physical check. I didnt need pictures to tell me my alignment was off. I just came from having an oil change and multi-point inspection at my dealership and everything was fine, however, the mechanics found things wrong which would mean Id have to spend more money. No thanks. I didnt waste time letting them check anything else due to my gut and reviews I read while waiting for the free alignment check.
If i could have a chance to give 0, i definitely would.. i got a oil change yesterday and at night i heard a really terrible sound under of my car on the middle of the highway. I pulled my car to side and checked under. They did not put splash guard screws back! Thats why it felt and damaged to my car. Today i went to auto center and waited almost 3 hours.. they didnt apologize and they found solution “zip ties” because of their wrong service. I spent my whole night and my car damaged. Please dont go there. Anywhere else is probably better than them!
I will never come to sear auto. I had an appointment today at 9am so I called at 8am to reschedule because my cars battery was completely dead and couldn’t get to my jumper cables were in the truck that controlled with my fob and it keyless so I explain to them I was waiting on sos to jump my car to go to them to get a battery put in and a oil change and tires rotation and he blew me away by telling that wasn’t his problem and they were all booked up for the day I was like okay I’ll call back if I could make it if not just cancel my appointment just got hung up on.. I get a phone call from a different person telling me she calling back to Change my appointment to noon. I told them it was too close to my start time at work so I couldn’t and just to take me off and give it to some one that was there.. bad customer service is bad for business SO after my car was jumped I went to Interstate batteries, Oak Lawn, IL I was in and out less that 15 mins with a discount for my trouble thanks Sears Auto for making me go else where!!
My parents and myself would go here to get oil change and tires but as of today I will no longer go here. On Saturday my father went in for and oil change and they told him there was a wait or 2-3 hrs so we waited. When they finally told us they were going to start to work on it they took another hr. Until they told him that something went wrong and that the oil pan threads were stripped. They had said that day that they would talk to the manager to see what they could do and that I would be ready on Monday. He call on Monday and told him they still couldn’t get a hold on the manager. I went on Tuesday and they told me that there was a charge of $700ish for the new oil pan. I was like excuse me why would we have to pay for something that was done here by one of your works the assistant manager told us that I could of happen here like it could of happen somewhere else. Then she said we gave you a coupon that brought it down to $700ish originally was $900ish. That to me shows that they know that they did something wrong. Now Wednesday my father and brother went and they still don’t want to take responsibility and fix the problem they did. If I could I wouldn’t even give one star. And will never go there again. They want to make money by braking things that were good. No wonder Sears is going out of business.

They told me an alignment charge and they charged me a totally different price for the alignment, and ask the person there and he just said well that wasnt me who gave you that price and the manager who actually gave you the price its gone

Terrible service. I tried calling to get an appointment and they keep putting me on hold. Then they disconnect me. Im now calling for the seventh time and Im on hold. I would go somewhere else, but my tires are still under warranty and it was defective. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Very shady place. Took my car there to get an alignment on a Groupon that they advertised. They said they had to inspect the car before honoring Groupon. Mind you I had all new suspension parts installed and that is the reason why I needed tobbring in my car for the alignment. The Hispanic and black guy inspected the car and saw all new parts and saw nothing wrong with car but the manager who was a black lady insisted that they take a closer look at the car (already looking suspicious). They put it on the rack and lifted it up and saw that the wheels werent aligned (okay?). Guy tried to tell us that there was either something wrong with the parts or with installation the parts (starting to scratch my head now). Could not give a definitive answer but told me I would need all new tie rods. Gave me a $800 quote on all new parts (although I had all of those replaced recently for the umpteenth time). I guess they thought wed just go ahead and pay for it. Told them to print the quote. Didnt really believe what he was saying so I took my car down to Pep Boys on 95th and Pulaski of which they were easily able to align my wheels and get me out on the road safely without the haggle and hassle. Guess they just missed out on good business from us. Beware do not take your car there. Unknowledgeable and dishonest mechanics and management!!!!

Terrible experience bought a Groupon and they didnt honor it I still had to pay a big difference according to them it didnt matter what your pay on Groupon you still have to pay more because they dont work with their promotions!! Then why do you offer anything thru Groupon?!?! Dont but anything they will make your pay more. No I dont recommend this place.

I hate that they closed the sears auto on Cicero. It was 5 mins away from my house. Now I have to drive an extra 15 mins to the one at chicago ridge and they take FOREVER to service customers. I hate coming here.

I had my front wheels changed in like a month ago + the alignment it cost me $380I had a problem with the alignment so I go back there and the big african American guy did not even bother talking like he owe me moneyI told him the steering wheel is shaking badly in the express way at high speedHe said I checked everything is green it’s not my problemI’m not the one who’s gonna drive it at 70 mpg in the express way wow
