Walked right in at my appointment time. Greeted by my hairdresser, went to the chair, got my hair cut in 15 minutes, had a pleasant conversation, paid my bill and vacated the premises.

I told the gentleman, who I assume to be GABE, that I’d like a 3 with the grain of my hair and a taper on the sides and back of my neck. Instead, I got a medium fade on one side and a high fade on the other. He did not line up my front.

I have been looking for a place to get my regular haircuts. Found this place as I was driving around. They do walk ins or appointments, for razor shaves they prefer appointments. I have gotten beard trim and haircuts from Susan who I recommend. All the barbers are friendly. Prices are fair for a barber shop.

I have been a patron of Gabes for 40 years, started with Gabe cutting my hair back in the early 80s. Always a top notch establishment with talented stylist and competitive prices. New owners continue the tradition.

Great hometown feel in a small business that’s been in the heart of Chester for over 40 years. Prices just went up a couple bucks for the first time in 2 or 3 years. $18 for a men’s cut that INCLUDED a neck shave is very well priced.

Nostalgia for sure as soon as you walk into their new decor. Stepping into the past where service and good conversation are paramount. All employees were friendly and efficient. Sara provided exactly the cut I wanted.

Love love it here . Very clean, professional, and Best of all reasonable in their pricing . Friendly staffing usually can get you in same day because they stay well staffed. I go to Katie she is awesome . Every time I come with something different and she does it for me . All the girls and guys are great there ....also very diverse so anyone and everyone with any type of hair can come here and be satisfied !

Great place to get your hair done. Much more than a barber shop. I get my hair color and cut. The line of color they use is fabulous.

No issues, relatively fast and friendly staff.. But .They only have one person that knows how to cut a flat top and they were not working that day...I could not schedule an appointment for another day.

Gabes = Bad haircuts + Poor attitudeI have been going regularly to Gabes every 5 weeks for the past 4 years. I have noticed that for the past 5-6 visits, the usual stylists are gone - the ones that are left have a poor attitude - they make faces when I request them to modify styling, trim a little more etc. Yesterdays visit was the worst - left a bad aftertaste. I am going to have to find a different barber/hairstylist.

Prices keep increasing now its 18 for a haircut but I keep coming back for Autumn Shes great and very friendly

Asked for a high skin fade and Im not really sure what I got. It was in between a low and mid fade. One side looked fine, at least, but the other side was uneven. I forget who the barber was on the day I went. Ill try them again but wont allow the same barber to cut my hair.

Only place Ive trusted with my haircuts for the last 3 years. Attentive staff, they try to get you to where you want your hair/beard to be. Chrystina is my fav.

I was a walk-in new customer. Received a perfect fade. I was in and out in 20min or less! Very impressed!

Staff is always nice and usually get in and out no problem except for Saturday morning if you dont have an appointment.

Barber shop yes but they also offer salon services for the ladies. One of the few places you can have your neck shaved to keep it neat and tight.

The unprofessional barber who attended to my husband tacked on additional services without permission, services which were performed incredibly poorly. Before my husband even realised what he was doing he had ruined his beard and cut his neck in several places. A straight razor should NOT be used if the person using it is incompetent. Terrible experience, we will be spreading the word to all friends and family in the area

Asked for a 2 on the sideburns and a clean blend on the sides. Top is good please dont touch it. She hacked it all off clean up the sides! I asked please keep it low and then she took it up the whole side of my head. It looks awful and will take weeks to grow back. I wouldnt go back if they paid me to. It felt like she was in a huge hurry with being used to nothing but military hairstyles, not my style.

Steve was amazing. He fixed my screwed up cut and really listened to me. I appreciate that. Ill be back to him for sure!!!

$16 for a 5 minute, scissor haircut. More of a social event than a service provider. Receptionist seemed put-out I was there. Still looking for a barber.

Nothing but customer service from everyone. Amanda, Maria, and Morgan at the front desk will have stars in my book forever. Went to them on a whim one day, and been going ever since. These ladies cut your hair the way YOU want it, not the other way around!

No messing around straight old school barber shop

I had to cut all my hair off because they couldnt do a simple medium fade. Then the gentleman proceeded to struggle just to even out my bald head. I couldnt believe it myself! Sadly, I just told him it looked find and walked out all spotty.

Sharon made me look presentable, trust me, thats not an easy thing to do.
