After moving here & needing to find a new place to get a Brazilian wax, I have been blown away with the amazing service here!! I’ve now been 4 times and can say with 100% certainty that this is the best waxing place I have ever been to!! I see Irene, not only is she personable & professional, but also very efficient!! She is quick and gets everything done. It is always extremely clean and smells so good (even through the mask). Everyone is friendly too! Such a wonderful experience every time I go. There isn’t a single thing I can say about this place that isn’t positive. I started going as soon as they opened because I was desperate for a wax, and my usual lady (in deep vb) was being flaky. I was blown away at the cleanliness, promptness, and professionalism. After scheduling on a last minute basis time after time I ended up with Daniella and I am here to tell you, she’s a rock star. She has never been even a single minute behind and always has a positive and professional attitude. I could go on and on about her but I’ll keep it to a general business review. I can not describe how happy I am that Opal is in Western Branch, if you are looking for the best in the area, book an appointment, and the business will speak for itself.

I’ve been an Opal Babe since day 1. I went to European Wax ONCE and haven’t thought twice about going back. The staff…from the front desk receptionist, to my esthetician, Irene has been friendly and professional. I’ve experienced 2 other workers there for services and they were just as welcoming, knowledge and as friendly as the owner. I recommend this place of business to anyone for any and all wax needs.

Opal came highly recommended, but I was definitely highly disappointed. My wax tech was nice, I even tipped her. During my service I noticed that she wasn’t really letting the wax fully dry before trying to rip it. That was really annoying and agitated my skin but I let it go. Once I got home I noticed that I still had wax on me in about three different spots which really hurt to now tear off. Also, there was a few opportunities to get more hair that I could feel with my hands. Definitely was not a great experience. I was waxed 8/6. Probably wouldn’t return.

Im all about promoting great work and especially black owned businesses, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case for this establishment. This was not my first waxing experience but at Opal Waxing, I was humiliated, gaslighted and treated very poorly. I received a Regular Brazilian, by the owner, which had a nasty attitude, and became increasingly frustrated that I was unable to lay on the table without tensing my muscles. Please understand, that people are not robots and we do feel pain. If you want someone to tolerate pain without emotion or movement of any kind, while conscious, youre in the wrong profession. I was so disturbed with her impropriety AND method of waxing, that by the time shed finished the bikini section, I was ready to stop. She then arrogantly informed me she was the best, had taught everyone there, that shes the fastest waxier, and can wax in 6 strips. (Side note: She didnt get all the hair). This does not make you the best, and you should really give your employees more credit because in fact, they are really good and not sorry to say, far better than the owner. Also, although we are all women, please dont stand and watch your customers get dressed, its extremely uncomfortable. This review does not give my experience the justice it deserves, but I hope no one else has to go through this same experience. Its already an awkward experience to have someone waxing off your private parts, but to be mistreated in the process is completely unacceptable. Its like being kicked while your down. Irene... I hope this review doesnt weigh on you too much and that you do better in future. If a customer is in tears when she leaves your table, believe me, its not because of the book shes reading, its because of your unprofessionalism and negative energy. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this place.

Ive been coming to opal waxing for two years. The service is always AMAZING and the results are even better! All staff are very friendly and are great with getting you checked in and escorted to the back with your preferred service person, in an adequate amount of time. I typically get full body waxing and I still leave under 40 min!! full body! (a new client brazillian is generally 30 min). Unlike other establishments, opal waxings website is modern, eye catching, and very verbatim. Their site leaves NO ROOM for questions or confusion. All clients are made aware, per policy that no show fees will be carried out in the event a client fails to show. Also, masks are mandated. This doesnt bother me bc my results ALWAYS outweigh the 40 min out of 24 hours I have to wear my mask :) Ive referred my friends and family to opal waxing. Everything says the same thing...AWESOME EXPERIENCE. keep up the good work, staff. Cant wait to come back 😩

Had my second wax at Opal and I’ve been hooked ever since. I said after my first wax I would never do it again. After going to Opal I’ll never pick up a razor again. To be honest the first was is hell because you’re not used to the feeling. However DO NOT SHAVE let it grow in then go back! The second one will be a breeze! The results are great! I go every 6 weeks and I can honestly go longer! I go to Molly! She’s amazing! Such a vibe! Don’t forget to get a mask! That wax and mask combo is the bomb!

I have gone to Opal waxing for a Brazilian and for my eyebrows. I have been serviced by 3 of waxers there and every experience was pleasant and quick. It is definitely the best wax I have ever had. And Im a bit of a germaphobe, they are clean. No double dipping into the wax. They clean while you are getting dressed so you dont ever have to worry if they cleaned before you get waxed. The service is amazing. If you are dissatisfied with your hair removal the owner contacts with solutions. I cant tell you enough about how great Opal Waxing is! I’ve been coming to Opal Waxing for almost two years now. Everyone is always very timely and professional. They offer many convenient ways to make appointments or I can walk-in if a change happens in my schedule. I feel as they stay up to date on any regulations in their field as well as the guidelines with covid-19. I just want to say this is a well rounded business from timeliness to the extra products they offer. But when I first starting coming I asked a lot of questions about my services I wanted. A LOT. And Irene was always very patient with me and she all answered my questions. I have never had a bad experience there. EVER. I go in for my Brazilian and brow wax and when I leave all I remember is laughing so hard while I was there. This is a place where I feel comfortable going and a place I trust with my waxing. If Opal waxing didn’t exist I can guarantee you like 99.99% I wouldn’t be going to get Brazilians done anywhere. Went to go get my wax, appt was at 8 m was there at 7:55 pm wasn’t aware of them still having the Mask requirement. Mind you I stood there for 5 mins waiting for my appt NO MASK even asked questions about products that they have., So after answering my questions the receptionist asked do you have a mask I say no she walks to the back to see if they have a mask etc comes back say you need a mask. I leave go get a mask come back get back it’s 8:05 pm wait to be called back get back there and The lady say I can’t do your full service because I don’t have time now you’re passed your grace period of 5 mins. So wait you require a mask but DONT HAVE mask for purchase you all don’t send it in your appt confirmation but you make it as if I’m late for my appt when I wasn’t. When I walked in if the receptionist was doing her job she should have said excuse me ma’am can you get your mask then i would have known right then instead of waiting. Ok so I say nevermind because I want the full service and can’t be charged for a no show because I was there EARLY . Walk out got down the road and guess what charged for a no show 25.00 . Talk to the manager and she basically say oh well it’s your fault you should have came with a mask. Not my fault and I didn’t authorize the payment of 25.00 because I was there early for my appt. Already reported it to my bank and nobody I know will be going there. @opal_waxing. Only my second time going there but never again. You think they offered to reschedule me ? You think they tried to fix it nope nothing. The customer service was horrible.

I got my first ever wax done with Molly, it was a Brazilian and cheek wax. She was so nice and so so kind! I was super shy (obviously hehe) but she made me feel super comfortable! Youll be surprised just how quickly youll open up and tell these girls your whole life story once they start asking you questions about your life, its almost like a therapy session which distracts you from the pain. She was super quick and i was smooth and hairless within 15 minutes of walking in. Definitely coming back! I booked my next appointment on my way out! :)
